Whitlock: Tom Brady owes Gisele an apology after roast

While Tom Brady made sure that Patriots owner Robert Kraft was immune to jokes at his Netflix roast, he didn’t seem to care much when they were aimed at the mother of his children.

Now, Brady is acknowledging that the jokes have impacted his children.

“I loved when the jokes were about me; I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way that it affected my kids,” Brady said after the roast.

“All of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again, because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world,” he continued, before calling himself “naive.”

Jason Whitlock isn’t impressed.

“He’s still reluctant to say in my view, ‘cause what he should say is ‘I don’t like the way it affected the mother of my kids and my kids,’” Whitlock says.

“They can get divorced, the world allows it, but that will always be the mother of his kids. And denigrating her and making her a laughingstock has impact on her and his kids,” he continues.

Shemeka Michelle is in full agreement.

“I think Tom Brady is full of manure to me. This is a case of throwing a rock and then hiding your hands. Anybody that has watched a roast knows that there are no limits. There are no lines, nothing is off limits,” she says.

“You don’t go in there thinking just joke on me. That’s silly and that’s weak,” she adds.

Is the world ready for Bradashian?! Kim Kardashian compared to a USED CAR as Tom Brady dating rumors IGNITE AGAIN

Dating rumors about Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady first sparked back in May, shortly following the quarterback’s split from supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen. However, they were quickly squashed, and for a while there, it certainly seemed like the rumors were just that.

But that all changed when the two were seen getting cozy at billionaire Michael Rubin’s annual Fourth of July “White Party” in the Hamptons. There are reports from multiple sources that the two recent divorcees flirted all night long.

Steve Kim tells Jason Whitlock that he’s not buying the hype.

“Let’s be honest, Jason,” he says, “Brady is not exactly Kardashian’s type – he’s a little pale, a little suburban.”

Steve not only believes the rumors are likely false but also adamantly hopes that Tom won’t make the dire mistake of linking himself to Kim Kardashian.

“Tom, get yourself a nice Becky,” he implores, continuing, “keep it simple.”

If Steve’s feelings toward Kim Kardashian weren’t already clear enough, they become unmistakable when he gives Jason this metaphor: Tom “is in the tax bracket for a luxury car, right? I mean a Bugatti or one of those fancy ones I can’t pronounce,” he says.

“In a situation like [Tom’s],” he continues, “you don’t go to Hertz and Avis and get a used car with 375,000 miles on it.”

Ouch.

“Do you not think,” Jason asks Steve, “if true, it would say something about Tom Brady? That … he’s full-blown celebrity phony? A materialistic, no-morals celebrity just like everybody else?

“Just the fact he was at that party,” Steve says, shows that Brady has already joined “a cultish group based on celebrity and status.”

Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen officially file for divorce: The 'painful' announcements from former power couple worth hundreds of millions

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and former Victoria's Secret supermodel Gisele Bündchen officially announced that they are divorced on Friday. The divorce was filed in Florida and ended the power couple's 13-year marriage. They share two children — 12-year-old son Benjamin and 9-year-old daughter Vivian Lake.

Brady made the "painful" announcement in a post on Instagram.

"In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage," Brady said. "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together."

"We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way," the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback stated. "We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve."

"We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration. Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world," he continued. "However we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written. And we kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you."

Bündchen released her own statement on Twitter.

"With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce," Bündchen announced. "My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve."

"The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," the Brazilian fashion model added. "I kindly ask that our privacy be respected during this sensitive time."

A source told TMZ, "Lawyers for both Gisele and Tom have been working with a mediator to hammer out both property settlement and custody."

Tom Brady has an estimated net worth of $250 million. Gisele Bündchen has a reported net worth of $400 million.

The divorce arrives months following the 45-year-old Brady deciding to retire from the NFL after 22 years so that he can focus his "time and energy on other things that require my attention."

However, he then backtracked and returned to the Buccaneers in March.

"I've realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it's not now," he wrote on Twitter.

This season, the Brady-led Buccaneers have a record of 3-5 and have lost three straight games. Brady and the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl in his first year in Tampa after he was with the New England Patriots for nearly all of his illustrious football career.

In September, Bündchen revealed that she had "concerns" about Brady returning to football.

"Obviously, I have my concerns — this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present," Gisele told Elle magazine. "I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too."

In early October, Brady and Bündchen reportedly hired divorce lawyers.

The couple got married in February 2009.
