Don’t expect the NY Times to report this awful Hamas detail

As the war between Israel and Hamas rages on, Americans continue to be swayed into supporting a terrorist group via leftist media coverage.

Dave Rubin and former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer see right through the media’s playbook.

“Hamas is doing things that most people in the West cannot believe even occurred, even when they see the video,” Rubin says, adding, “So, you’re fighting a physical war, and then, there’s also the ideological war and the PR war and everything else.”

While there was a widespread, brief moment of sympathy for Israelis in the immediate aftermath of October 7, that quickly changed once the propaganda took over.

“There are so many different forces that will try to present a distorted picture. They’ll forget about what happened on October 7, they’ll forget about the hostages, and we still have 134 that are being held there in Gaza,” Dermer says.

While the media has reported on Hamas using its own people as human shields, there are some horrifying details it has left out.

“I must tell you something I did learn in this war is that Hamas doesn’t build tunnels under schools, they actually build schools over the tunnels. That’s what I’ve seen,” Dermer explains, adding, “this is a strategy for Hamas.”

This strategy is a winning one because the media then blames Israel for the casualties.

“I don’t have any problem with people in the media showing the pictures that are tragic of every single civilian casualty in Gaza, but just lay it at the doorstep of Hamas. They’re the ones who are responsible,” Dermer says.

This misplaced blame has far-reaching consequences.

“By actually blaming Israel for this, what they’re telling every terror organization around the world is you should use human shields because it works,” Dermer says, adding, “so, all of those people around the world are blaming Israel for what is happening in Gaza, they’re not only endangering Israel’s security, they’re endangering the Palestinians.”

BlazeTV host reacts to watching 47-minute video of Oct. 7 Hamas attacks: 'I am changed as a human being'

Dave Rubin is in Israel this week interviewing citizens and learning the truth about what the country is going through — the tragic reality our mainstream media loves to sugarcoat and ignore.

Today, he was shown a 47-minute reel of raw footage of Hamas’ October 7 attacks.

But those 47 minutes were enough to make the entire day “extremely emotional.”

“Beheadings by hand with knives, throwing grenades into bomb shelters with children in them, burning people alive — it’s just beyond imagination,” he says, adding, “I feel changed, actually, as a human being after watching it.”

He then headed north toward the Lebanon-Israel border.

For those who don’t know, “Lebanon, in many ways, is a failed state that's now controlled by Hezbollah, which is really just an arm of Iran,” says Dave, “and they have something like 200,000 rockets facing Israel right now, and they’re shooting rockets in constantly.”

Because of these attacks, “80,000 Israelis have been evacuated from this part of the country” and are now “living more in the middle of the country.”

“Interestingly, as horrific as everything was on October 7 with Hamas, down south, everyone is saying the real war is the ... upcoming war with Hezbollah,” says Dave.

Something else people might not know is that “there's about 2 million Muslims that live in Israel as citizens, and they're helping right now. They are not violently revolting, they don't want to leave.”

“There's just so many misconceptions,” says Dave.

MUST SEE: Brother of Hamas victim shares his tragic story

Dave Rubin is in Israel this week to talk to locals and hear their stories. Yesterday, he met with 26-year-old Ilay David.

Ilay’s younger brother, Evyatar, was taken hostage by Hamas during the Nova Festival on October 7. When the invasion began, Evyatar texted his brother informing him of the attack, but their connection was soon lost. Shortly after, Evyatar’s sister posted his photo on Instagram asking if anyone had seen him. An unknown number messaged her back with videos of Evyatar. The first showed him being dragged inside Gaza by a terrorist, and the second showed him handcuffed on the floor in a dark room with several other victims, including his childhood best friend.

“The cameraman was making sure that we [would] see their faces and recognize them,” Ilay tells Dave, noting that his brother was staring at the camera with “primal fear.”

“At that moment, I felt mostly anger. … I felt like I failed to protect my younger sibling, and I felt helpless – like there's nothing I can do,” says Ilay.

After a week had passed, Ilay joined a families' forum and has since been doing everything in his power to bring his brother and the other hostages home safely.

Despite released hostages’ reportings of mental and physical abuse and there currently being “no signs of life,” Ilay refuses to give up hope that his brother will come home one day.

“We have to fight evil and bring them back home – all of them – as soon as possible,” he says.

To hear Ilay’s story – a tale of unshakeable hope in the face of tragedy and fear – watch the clip below.

Former US ambassador to Israel explains how Biden may have just doomed hostages & helped Hamas

Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman sees some glaring issues with President Joe Biden’s handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.

“Israel is a great friend of ours,” he tells Dave Rubin. “We trust them, they’re a good friend, we think their morals are in the right place, their values in the right place. Do what you got to do to end this and protect your citizens as quickly and decisively as possible.”

“Now, if Biden had just given that message here and acted upon it, I think this war would probably be over by now, and the hostages might very well be back,” he adds.

Friedman believes that one of the major issues with Biden’s handling of the war is that he doesn’t realize that Hamas is calibrating their response “based upon America’s reaction.”

“That’s why whenever America uses words like, ‘You got to have a ceasefire,’ ‘You’re using indiscriminate force,’ ‘Your efforts are over the top’ — every time Biden does that he makes it less likely that the hostages will be released. It makes it more expensive for Israel to make a deal,” Friedman explains.

“I don’t think he believes it either,” Rubin says, noting that Biden might just be “placating the base.”

Friedman is in agreement.

“I don’t think he knows one way or the other. I mean, he makes these comments in an ice cream shop holding onto an ice cream cone and says, ‘Yeah, there’ll be a deal in a couple of days,’” Friedman says.

“As soon as he does that,” he continues, “the Hamas leaders, they lick their lips because they say, ‘Wow, this is great, we are now in power to either make Joe Biden look like a liar or like a hero, he’s given us this power.’”

Do conservatives have a blind spot when it comes to immigration?

In light of the Israel-Hamas war, pro-Palestinian rallies have begun around the globe, including in the U.K.

While Dave Rubin sees pro-Palestinians as supporters of Hamas, Konstantin Kisin of “Triggernometry” doesn’t quite see it that way.

Rather, Kisin believes that in order to understand this conflict and those on the side of Hamas, we have to look at immigration.

“The most extreme Islamists in this country haven’t come in recent years, they’re people who are second and third generation immigrants. Often well educated; often well integrated, they have jobs and they participate in society, they speak good English,” he tells Rubin.

“It’s not just that we have let the wrong people in,” he continues, “it’s also that we have done a terrible job of assimilation and integration.”

However, while Kisin has nailed down what he believes to be the problem, it doesn’t give him any hope.

“I am very naturally optimistic as a human being. When I see this moment I am not optimistic about the future,” he says.

When asking those who are “much smarter” than him how to fix the current issue at hand, “none of them have an answer.”

“The truth is, we are allowing more people to come in who have this worldview, and we’re not getting rid of the people who are already here who we could get rid of, and we’re not doing a good job of assimilating and integrating people whereby they buy into what it means to be British,” he explains.

While countries like Sweden and Denmark are now taking drastic action to break up ghettos “and all sorts of other actions,” Kisin believes other European countries are going to have to follow suit in order to save themselves.

“Unless we want tens of thousands to become hundreds of thousands,” Kisin adds.

This immigrant is FIGHTING against US-hating youth

America has historically been viewed by immigrants as a place where freedom and prosperity await them — but for some reason, American youth don’t see it the same way.

Faisal Saeed Al Mutar, the founder of Ideas Beyond Borders, sits down with Dave Rubin to discuss why that is and why he’s actually quite fond of American values himself.

Mutar tells Rubin that when he first moved to America, he originally believed “that people would appreciate the values” that he used to fight for in Iraq.

“And now 10 years later, I think that I was wrong,” he says.

His issue is not with the country itself, but rather those who try to speak on behalf of those they claim are victims. “And that pisses me off,” he tells Rubin.

“We need to figure out a way to make them realize what they are taking for granted,” he adds.

While Mutar takes issue with the attitude of many Americans, he refuses to let that dim his own love for the country.

“I loved this country even before I came here,” he tells Rubin.

Mutar’s non-profit, Ideas Beyond Borders, focuses on spreading American values worldwide.

“My goal is to bring those values into the region that I came from,” he says, “which I think are the reason why thousands and hundreds of thousands of people are prosperous — are the values that are found in America. Which I think our values are spreading.”

“If America turns against America,” he continues, “I think that these values are so worth defending. So I think that spreading the values of freedom is itself an idea.”

Mutar believes that unlike any other country, America was founded on important ideals, but the American people are turning against those ideals.

“I think that the people, those who have lived under prosperity for a long time, and that’s one of the main contradictions, is that they start turning against ideas that made them prosperous,” he says.

Is America turning into North Korea?

When Yeonmi Park fled North Korea, she came to what she believed was the freest country on earth.

However, one of the first questions she was asked upon becoming a citizen was whether or not she would ever use hate speech against another person. If she had said yes, she would not have been allowed to become a citizen.

This was jarring to her, as she knows better than anyone that if you are not allowed to engage in free speech, you are not in a free country.

Dave Rubin sat down with Park "The Rubin Report," where she tells him just how worried she is about the state of America. She says, “Most people would get really shocked that, you know, how dare you compare North Korea to America?”

She argues that she’s not “comparing the living standards,” but rather “the tactics that North Korea used to control people and brainwash us were the same tactics [she’s] seeing right now in current America.”

Park warns that she “sees this country getting destroyed.”

She goes on to explain that she was demonetized, censored, and shadow-banned on all the social media platforms for attempting to discuss how North Korean women are being raped and their organs harvested in China under the communist party. What happened to freedom of speech in America?

Not only that, but during the pandemic, her 2-year-old son was forced to wear a mask for up to eight hours a day while people were opening strip clubs and dog parks next door to the day care.

She says she remembers thinking that “somehow the dogs have more rights than my child in America right now.”

She continues, “I am scared every day for my son, because if America falls, I cannot imagine the world without America. Where would my son escape to for freedom? There’s no place left.”
