Northern Bronx suffers 30% spike in violent crime since electing 'defund the police' socialist Rep. Bowman

Democratic socialist Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) was elected to represent New York's 16th Congressional District on December 29, 2020. His district, encompassing most if not all of precincts 45, 47, and 50 in the Northern Bronx region, has seen a marked spike in violent crime this year.

Fox News noted that so far in 2022, there have already been 3,396 violent crimes reported in these three precincts, whereas the total number in 2021 was 2,609. Violent crimes include rape, robbery, felonious assault, and murders committed with a firearm.

This spike in violent crime constitutes approximately a 30% rise over last year's figures.

Precinct 50 alone has witnessed a 73.8% overall increase this year, up 185% since Bowell's election in 2020.

On a list of the precincts in the Bronx with the most murders, Bowman's 47th ranks fourth highest.

Statistics indicate worsening crime elsewhere in Bowman's district. The city of Mount Vernon, for instance, has seen a 39.4% total increase, with 80.4% more grand and petit larceny and twice as many rapes. In July, Mount Vernon saw a 260% increase in robberies.

Shortly after his election, Bowman wrote, concerning American law enforcement: "A system this cruel and inhumane can't be reformed. Defund the police, and defund the system that's terrorizing our communities."

“We're fighting in your memory, Tamir. You won't be forgotten.

A system this cruel and inhumane can't be reformed. Defund the police, and defund the system that's terrorizing our communities.”
— Jamaal Bowman (@Jamaal Bowman) 1609281928

On February 12, 2021, Bowman reiterated his desire to defund the police, claiming that upon doing so, "we need to scrutinize the ones that remain with the full force of the law."

Bowman, also an advocate for reparations, had previously defined his terms: "Defund the police means defund the occupation of black bodies and the militarization of our communities."

In July 2020, around the time Bowman declared, "We don't need to hire more police," former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio cut approximately $1 billion from the NYPD's 2021 operating budget. According to the Citizens Budget Commission, the department thus incurred $322 million in cuts. The NYPD's head count was consequently reduced by 1,163 uniformed officers. By last estimate, the NYPD's authorized uniformed headcount stands at 34,771.

Despite his calls to defund the police, Bowman reportedly requested increased police presence at his home for a period of two weeks after the January 6 incident at the Capitol.

Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman accuses the Supreme Court of 'brazenly violating the Constitution,' calls for impeaching justices and packing the court

Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York has accused the Supreme Court of breaching the Constitution and called for impeaching the supposed law breakers and adding seats to the nine-member high court.

"The Supreme Court is brazenly violating the Constitution, so it's time to impeach those who have broken the law and expand the court," Bowman declared in a tweet.

Bowman is also accusing members of the Supreme Court of making decision on the basis of their own religious beliefs.

"Instead of doing their job and upholding the Constitution and the rights of the people, SCOTUS decides cases based on their faith and their far-right extremism," Bowman declared in a tweet.

"We all swore an oath of office when we became congresspeople, senators, justices, and presidents. It's time we uphold our oaths of office by stopping the Supreme Court from participating in a judicial coup and attempting to expand their power," he declared in another post. "SCOTUS' decisions chose to disregard the entire Constitution and the American people," another tweet declares.

Democrats have been up in arms about several recent Supreme Court rulings, including a decision that enables states to outlaw abortions. While pro-life advocates have celebrated the decision, many Democrats, including Bowman, have said that the ruling marked a "dark day for America."

"Nothing about overturning Roe v Wade is pro-life when thousands will die due to a lack of medical care," Bowman has tweeted.

Last month, Elon Musk announced that he had voted for Republican Mayra Flores in a Texas special election, but Bowman responded to Musk by accusing him of backing white supremacy. Flores, who won the election and has since been sworn in as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, was born in Mexico.

"I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022," Musk tweeted.

"Elon Musk is not a leader. He's just another Republican billionaire who supports white supremacy and authoritarianism because he doesn't want his workers to unionize or to pay his fair share in taxes. The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he's supporting them," Bowman tweeted.

Elon Musk voted for a Mexican-born Republican, but Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman accused Musk of supporting 'white supremacy and authoritarianism'

Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York accused business magnate Elon Musk of backing "white supremacy and authoritarianism" — the congressman made the comment in response to Musk's announcement that he had voted for Republican congressional candidate Mayra Flores.

Flores, who was born in Mexico and legally arrived in the U.S. at the age of six, won the special election on Tuesday in Texas's 34th Congressional District — the seat had been vacated by Democrat Filemon Vela Jr., who resigned earlier this year.

"I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022," Musk tweeted Wednesday.

"Elon Musk is not a leader. He’s just another Republican billionaire who supports white supremacy and authoritarianism because he doesn't want his workers to unionize or to pay his fair share in taxes. The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he’s supporting them," Bowman tweeted in response to Musk's post.

Bowman's attack against Musk raised eyebrows.

"When you think an African American immigrant voting for a Mexican-American woman is 'white supremacy,' it might be an indication your brain is broken," GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas remarked.

"Leftism is a mental disorder: Example 718C," tweeted BlazeTV's Dave Rubin of "The Rubin Report."

"Coming soon: Mayra Flores: The Latinx Face Of White Supremacy," Saagar Enjeti tweeted.

"Electing a Latina born in Mexico equaling white supremacist authoritarianism is a galaxy brain take that'll lead to a mammoth red tsunami. The far-left possesses some frightening levels of hatred for the American people," Newsbusters managing editor Curtis Houck tweeted.

Musk, who was born in South Africa, noted on Wednesday that he is leaning towards supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president in 2024.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman claims 'A Global Green New Deal ... would really address this oil crisis with Russia'; former California Gov. Jerry Brown says 'climate is like war'

As Russia invades Ukraine and Americans are hammered with high gas prices, Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York is pushing for a "Global Green New Deal" and former California governor Jerry Brown is claiming that people will die if climate change goes unaddressed.

"A Global Green New Deal is what would really address this oil crisis with Russia - and prevent future ones. It’s time we mobilize for real energy security, climate safety, and peace," Bowman tweeted.

A Global Green New Deal is what would really address this oil crisis with Russia - and prevent future ones.

It’s time we mobilize for real energy security, climate safety, and peace.
— Jamaal Bowman (@Jamaal Bowman) 1646761809

The website bowmanforcongress.com indicates that this agenda would entail slashing U.S. military spending.

"Global Green New Deal: We must promote trade that grows and empowers labor and foreign policy and moves us toward 100% clean and renewable energy abroad," the website declares. "The US military is the biggest polluter on the planet so decreasing our military spending will go a long way toward saving the planet. I believe the climate crisis is an opportunity to finally discard our weapons and fear of each other to come together and save the planet."

In an effort to squeeze Russia, President Biden signed an executive order on Tuesday which prohibits importing Russian oil and other products into the U.S. — the list of banned products includes, "crude oil; petroleum; petroleum fuels, oils, and products of their distillation; liquefied natural gas; coal; and coal products," according to the order.

The move, which comes as Ukrainians strive to defend their country against a Russian invasion, will likely lead to even higher gas prices for Americans.

But while Ukrainians bravely fight an actual war, former California Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat who served four terms in office — including from 1975 to 1983 and from 2011 to 2019 — told the Associated Press last week that "climate is like war."

"It's true that the Russians are earning money from oil and gas, but to compound that problem by accelerating oil and gas in America would go against the climate goals, and climate is like war: If we don’t handle it, people are going to die and they’re going to be suffering. Not immediately, but over time," Brown said, according to the outlet.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman says Sen. Joe Manchin doesn't care about black people, Latinos, immigrants, women, or the poor

Freshman Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York claimed that fellow Democratic lawmaker Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia does not care about black people, Latinos, immigrants, women, or the poor.

Bowman made the comments during an appearance on CNN while discussing Manchin's announcement that he will not support passing the Build Back Better plan.

The Biden administration and Democrats have been aiming to ram the proposal through without any GOP support, but in order to do so, they would need all 50 members of the Senate Democratic caucus to vote in favor of passage.

During an interview on Fox News Sunday, Manchin told Bret Baier, "I've always said this, Bret, if I can't ... explain it to the people of West Virginia, I can't vote for it. And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation, I just can't. I've tried everything humanly possible. I can't get there."

Bowman said that he "was infuriated" by Manchin's remarks.

"It went from $3.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion because him, his special interests, his donors, and lobbyists were cuttin' the bill for several months because they did not want this bill to pass. Why? Because this bill disproportionately supports people of color. It supports people of color, it supports women, it supports children, it supports those who are poor and lifts them outta poverty," Bowman said.

"It's tremendously frustrating for me as a black man in America because once again it's an example of Joe Manchin as a white man showing that he doesn't care about black people, he doesn't care about Latinos, he doesn't care about immigrants, he doesn't care about women, and he doesn't care about the poor," the congressman said.

Twitter troll tricks Democrats into being outraged over Maxine Waters' 'dangerous' quote against Trump administration

Democrats are completely outraged over a fake quote from Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters. A Twitter troll replaced Waters' original tweet that targeted Trump administration staffers with Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Democrats took the bait and called Waters' words "dangerous" and many said it was "inciting violence."

In June 2018, Waters delivered a fiery speech where she called for members of the "Resistance" to harass staffers of the Trump administration.

"History will record while he tried to step on all of us, we kicked him in his rear and step on him," Waters bellowed. "If you think we're rallying now, you ain't seen nothin' yet!"

"Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants...who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, 'No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!" Waters said, referencing Trump's former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen being intimidated by socialists at a Mexican restaurant.

"God is on our side," Waters proclaimed. "Let's stay the course!"

"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," she yelled to rile the crowd into a frenzy.

Waters then zeroed in on then-President Donald Trump, "Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this!"

Twitter user @CuomoWatch took a portion of the congresswoman's speech, but altered it slightly to target the Cuomo administration instead of Trump's Cabinet.

"If you see anybody from the Cuomo Administration in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," the now-viral tweet said.

Democrats, who are obviously not familiar with Waters' tempestuous tirade, immediately condemned the threatening words, likely assuming the menacing comments were made by Republicans or Trump supporters.

New York Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) fell for the fake quote, "This is encouraging violence against public officials - plain & simple. Absolutely disgusting. No tolerance for this. Haven't we learned the lessons from Washington D.C. just weeks ago?"

Former Pete Buttigieg adviser Lis Smith wrote, "Way way way over the line. Especially in light of what happened at the Capitol on Jan 6."

Democratic New York City Councilwoman Debi Rose reacted by saying, "Really? Did we not learn anything from the Capitol insurrection? We must condemn violence and harassment in any form. #StopTheViolence #MobMentality."

Democratic City Council Member Keith Powers said, "There are plenty of strong opinions and online angst these days, but there is no place for inciting violence or threatening people. This tweet should be removed ASAP. Full stop."

Democratic Senator for the 36th District of the New York Senate Jamaal T. Bailey tweeted, "This is more than tonedeaf, especially considering what's happened in recent days. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. Read the room."

Democratic member of the New York State Assembly Daniel Rosenthal said, "This is dangerous and unacceptable, especially after what happened in DC. Encouraging this kind of violence is unacceptable."

Democratic County Executive of Suffolk County Steve Bellone declared, "Democrats and Republicans must denounce this threat of violence against our fellow New Yorkers. After the Capitol riots, I call on @Twitter to ban this account immediately."

Former Democratic Speaker of the New York City Council Christine Quinn exclaimed, "This is dangerous and outrageous!"

Democratic County Executive of Nassau County Laura Curran was also fooled by the fake quote, "No matter your political party or beliefs, this is completely unacceptable. Nassau County has zero tolerance for hatred and inciting violence."

Democratic Speaker of the New York State Assembly Carl E. Heastie wrote, "This is appalling and dangerous. Encouraging violence must never be tolerated. Shame on whoever is behind this kind of garbage."

Democratic Assembly Member for the 42nd District of the New York State Assembly Rodneyse Bichotte was duped, "Threatening government officials & their staff is a crime for which there is a ZERO tolerance policy in Brooklyn & anywhere else. I condemn this tweet & the violence it incites, especially following the insurrection we just experienced at the capitol."

Democratic Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan wrote on Twitter, "This kind of dangerous rhetoric must be called out and condemned by all. Or else we risk repeating the horrendous events of Jan 6th. As leaders, especially in a time of such great challenge, it's incumbent on all of us to appeal to the 'better angels of our nature."

Democratic member of the New York State Senate Todd Kaminsky said, "Completely unacceptable. Haven't we learned the hard lesson that incitements to violence like this actually result in violence? There is no room for this in our discourse. None."

Luis A. Miranda, Jr. said, "You don't like the Governor, you vote him out. After the terrorist attack on our Capitol, threats, of any kind, especially as the right is targeting state capitals, are dangerous. And to target staff? Not cool."

Democratic Speaker of the New York City Council Corey Johnson stated, "The terrifying events of the last month have shown us more clearly than ever that words have consequences. This sort of targeting and incitement is simply wrong, and totally unacceptable."

Democrats finally condemn Maxine Waters' dangerous rhetoric, two years later, and only after they thought it was a Republican saying it.

Leftists compare Trump's Twitter ban to Saddam Hussein's capture, call it 'most important moment in the history of social media'

Twitter permanently banned President Donald Trump from its social media platform on Friday. Giddy leftists and Democrats celebrated the censorship of the president of the United States on social media with outlandish comparisons and eccentric statements.

Leftist Hollywood actors and celebrities, who have made it their second job to endlessly attack Trump during his tenure, reveled in the Twitter banning.

"Borat" actor Sacha Baron Cohen bloviated, "This is the most important moment in the history of social media. The world's largest platforms have banned the world's biggest purveyor of lies, conspiracies and hate. To every Facebook and Twitter employee, user and advocate who fought for this--the entire world thanks you!"

Actor John Cusack bellowed, "This move by Twitter and Facebook are the biggest blows To his fascism."

"Westworld" actor Jeffrey Wright posted, "Boom," and included a screenshot of Trump's now-suspended account.

"Veep" actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus asked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, "What the f*** took you so long @jack?"

"Star Trek" actor George Takei stated, "I'm feeling Jacked today."

"Avengers" actor Mark Ruffalo tweeted, "Thank you @Twitter & the board."

Bette Midler was elated, "THANK YOU #TWITTER! CHURCH BELLS! RING THROUGHOUT THE LAND, SO EVERYONE KNOWS! IT'S OVER! TRUMP SUSPENDED FROM INCITING TO VIOLENCE ON TWITTER!"

Chrissy Teigen could only muster a laugh.

Comedian Jim Gaffigan was grateful, "Thank you @Twitter, @jack and @TwitterSafety for putting the safety of the people over profit! Now to find some Republicans with that courage."

"Frozen" voice actor Josh Gad wrote, "All we got to do now is get the Nuclear codes out of his hands and we should be good!"

Democratic politicians also rejoiced over the news of Trump losing his ability to communicate to Americans on Twitter.

Rep. Max Rose (D-N.Y.) rollicked by comparing the Twitter banning of Trump to the capture of dictator Saddam Hussein, who is reported to be responsible for the killing of an estimated 250,000 people and figures as high as 500,000.

Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) tweeted, "Great. Now let's permanently suspend him from the White House."

Rep. Robin Kelly (D-Ill.) ranted, "While long overdue, I commend twitter for moving to ban Donald Trump from the platform permanently. Tech companies must take responsibility for hate speech and misinformation flourishing on their watch. This is an important step toward accountability."

Far-left Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) made a reference to "The Lord of the Rings" by saying, "Gollum has lost his precious."
