WATCH: Marco Rubio brilliantly slams fake news, puts ABC host to shame
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has recently been added to Trump’s growing list of potential vice president candidates.
While Rubio has never spoken directly to Trump or anyone running his campaign about the position, the senator says he would consider the opportunity “an honor.”
Apparently, that shocked ABC News host Jonathan Karl.
“You said it would be an honor to be offered a spot on his ticket. Really?” Karl asked, confused.
“Yeah, I think anyone who’s offered the opportunity to serve this country as vice president should be honored,” Rubio said. “I'm in the Senate because I want to serve the country; being vice president is an important way to serve the country.”
“Look what happened to the last guy. A mob stormed the Capitol, literally calling to hang Mike Pence, and Trump defended those chants of ‘Hang Mike Pence,”’ Karl fired back.
“I will tell you this: When Donald Trump was President of the United States, this country was safer; it was more prosperous; we had relations, for example, in a part of the world that I care about called the Western Hemisphere ... I think the country and world was a better place when he was president, and I would love to see him return to the White House,” said Rubio.
He then went on an epic tear about all the ways Joe Biden has been “a disaster.”
“Every single day, we wake up to a new crisis, a new conflict. Everything has been on fire since the time Joe Biden took over,” he said. “Afghanistan has gone down, Ukraine has been invaded, now the Philippines and the Chinese are on the verge of something bad ... not to mention the threats to Taiwan. We have this blowup in Haiti going on in our very own hemisphere.”
“You’re not suggesting that’s all happening because of Biden?” Karl asked.
“Absolutely, I am,” Rubio boldly stated.
“Because of Biden, Russia invaded Ukraine?” Karl asked, shocked, adding that “Trump's the one suggesting that there should be a deal that effectively gives Putin what he wants in Ukraine.”
“That’s not true. What he’s said is that he wants the conflict to end,” Rubio corrected, noting that “there is going to be a negotiation” in which “Russia is not going to take all of Ukraine, and Ukraine is not going to push Russia back to where it was in 2014.”
Pat Gray is wholly impressed with Rubio’s ability to so effortlessly debunk fake news while simultaneously speaking the truth.
“Consider just some of the international things that have gone on — some of the policies of [Joe Biden] that have led to the slaughter in Israel, the debacle of the pullout in Afghanistan, China continues to threaten to invade Taiwan, the censure of the U.S. from the British Parliament for the first time in history, the French are pissed off at us over the submarine deal they were left out of, the border invasion catastrophe — I'm sure there's a hundred more things I could name, and that's not even getting into the economy, taxes, wages,” says Pat.
“It’s a disaster, John Karl.”

Biden caught in lie that he taught 'political theory' at University of Pennsylvania, claims he was 'raised in the synagogues'
President Joe Biden was caught in a lie that he taught "political theory" at the University of Pennsylvania. However, there is no evidence that Biden taught a single class at UPenn.
Biden gave a speech at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland on Thursday. The 80-year-old president asserted that democracy is "under attack."
"Our democracy is under attack, and we got to fight for it," Biden claimed.
Biden alleged, "I taught at the University of Pennsylvania for four years and I used to teach political theory. And folks, you always hear, every generation has to fight for democracy.”

There is no proof that Biden taught at the University of Pennsylvania.
In April 2022, Biden made a similar mischaracterization of his role at the University of Pennsylvania.
"I've been to a lot of university campuses," Biden told the audience at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. "Matter of fact, for four years, I was a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania. And this is really an impressive place with a lot of impressive students."
A Politifact fact-check said of the claim: "However, the duration of the position was closer to two years than four, since he was on leave while running for president. Also, his duties might not conform to the full range of activities that the public might associate with the term 'full professor,' including teaching semester-long classes, conducting independent research, and handling administrative responsibilities."
Snopes declared his UPenn role as "honorary."
The fact-check site added, "He gave lectures and talks to students on campus, but did not teach a full semester’s course load during that time."
Biden was an honorary professor at the University of Pennsylvania, serving as the Benjamin Franklin presidential professor of the practice from February 2017 to April 2019, according to the university's website.
The University of Pennsylvania paid Biden more than $900,000, according to financial records.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported in 2019:
The former vice president collected $371,159 in 2017 plus $540,484 in 2018 and early 2019 for a vaguely defined role that involved no regular classes and around a dozen public appearances on campus, mostly in big, ticketed events. Penn’s payments to Biden raised eyebrows and questions among some in the community when they were revealed this week as part of the financial disclosures for his presidential campaign. The average salary for a Penn professor was $217,411 in the 2017-18 academic year, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education. Biden’s official title was the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor — the first person to hold that job — and he also lent his name to the school’s effort to expand its footprint on international affairs.
According to the Daily Pennsylvanian, Biden joined a panel about cancer with UPenn president Amy Gutmann, made an appearance with former Mexico President Felipe Calderon, delivered a lecture to Wharton graduate students, joined a forum on immigration with Jeb Bush, spoke at a voter registration event, did a question-and-answer session, and used a university event to plug his "Promise Me, Dad" book.
In February 2019, the University of Pennsylvania opened the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C. The think tank is self-described as being "founded on the principle that a democratic, open, secure, tolerant, and interconnected world benefits all Americans."
In April 2022, an ethics watchdog group called for the federal government to investigate anonymous donations from China to the University of Pennsylvania. Between January 2014 and June 2019, UPenn reportedly received $54.6 million in donations from China – including $23.1 million in anonymous donations.
In November 2022, the FBI reportedly searched the Penn Biden Center offices after Biden's lawyers allegedly found roughly 10 classified documents there.
On Monday, Biden gave a speech touching on the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. There, Biden spewed another lie.
"Ground Zero in New York — I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. I felt like I was looking through the gates of Hell, it looked so devastating because the way you could — from where you could stand," Biden said.
However, Biden was in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 12, 2021.
On Wednesday, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby completely dodged a question about numerous falsehoods that Biden has recently fabricated.
Washington Times reporter Jeff Mordock asked Kirby, "The president has lied about being at Ground Zero the day after the Sept. 11 attacks, falsely claimed he saw the Pittsburgh bridge collapse, claimed his grandfather died in the hospital days before his birth. What is going on with the president? Is he just believing things that didn’t happen did happen, or is he just randomly making stuff up?"
Kirby refused to address the question.
On Thursday, Biden issued another questionable claim when he told a group of rabbis that he was "raised in the synagogues" of Delaware.
"I, you might say, was raised in the synagogues of my state. You think I’m kidding, I'm not," Biden said during a call ahead of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, which begins on Friday.
The New York Post noted, "Biden’s 2007 memoir 'Promises to Keep' doesn’t contain a single use of the word 'synagogue' and its seven uses of the words 'Jews' and 'Jewish' all are when discussing history or politics. Beth Shalom is not mentioned. His 2017 book 'Promise Me, Dad' has similarly sparse mentions of Judaism."

CNN fact check nails Biden on numerous lies and exaggerations during town hall event
CNN fact-checked President Joe Biden on numerous statements he made during a town hall event on their own network and found him wanting.
Hosted by CNN host Don Lemon, the president responded to questions from the audience at the town hall event Wednesday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
On Thursday, CNN refuted many of the claims Biden made during the event.
Coronavirus vaccination
Biden made contradictory statements about the efficacy of vaccination against the coronavirus event.
"If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized, you're not going to be in the ICU unit and you're not going to die," said Biden at one point.
Later, he added that even if vaccinated people were to become infected with the virus that they were "not likely to get sick."
In a third statement, he assured the audience that "you're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations."
CNN noted that the second statement was the most accurate statement about the efficacy of vaccinations.
Inflation
CNN noted that Biden dismissed a question about the increasing price of cars over inflation, saying, "The cost of an automobile, it's kind of back to what it was before the pandemic."
But that is not true, and prices for used and new automobiles have skyrocketed during Biden's term.
Biden's vaccination goal
Biden bumbled the numbers on what he initially promised to succeed in relation to the rate of the coronavirus vaccinations.
"Now, by the way, remember when I first got elected," he said, "the issue was, well, I said I was going to do a million shots a week, and people said, 'Biden can't do that' or 'Biden team can't do that.' And it was 2 million."
CNN pointed out that Biden had promised to meet the rate of a million vaccinations per day, not a million per week.
CNN reported that Biden was able to achieve another goal of 200 million vaccinations by 100 days, but the network neglected to note that this goal was made after Biden was ridiculed for having such an easily achievable previous goal.
How many is that?
Biden was confused about how many Americans would be affected by his proposal to end the practice of noncompete agreements.
During the town hall he said, "You have over 600,000 people out there signing -- 6 million people signing a -- I better check the number..."
But CNN noted that White House press secretary Jen Psaki has put the number at more than 30 million people, and another estimate used by the White House put it at between 36 to 60 million workers.
Biden also failed to remember how many Republicans signed on to a letter he was discussing and the facts on his own child tax credit bill, CNN reported.

Delaware State University says Biden was never a student after he claimed starting academic career at historically black school
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden hinted that he started his academic career at Delaware State University, a historically black college. However, Delaware State University has gone on record to say that the former vice president was never a student at the institution.
Biden made the assertion while on the campaign trail in October 2019. During a town hall event held at the historic Wilson High School in Florence, which was founded in 1866 by the Freedmen's Bureau for black children, Biden made the unfounded claim.
"I got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State — now, I don't want to hear anything negative about Delaware State," Biden told the audience. "They're my folks."
Biden claims he “got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State” when he did not attend the universityhttps://t.co/LnBOS1wQlT— Tommy Pigott (@Tommy Pigott)1572125951.0
Carlos Holmes, the director of news service for Delaware State, said Biden was never a student at the school.
"Vice President Biden did not attend DSU," Holmes told the Washington Times on Thursday.
Holmes noted that the former vice president had made appearances at the university.
"However he was the Commencement keynote speaker in 2003 and [2016], and during the former he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree," Holmes said.
Biden went on to win the South Carolina Democratic primary, which resurrected his campaign after disappointing results in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada.
In Biden's 2007 memoir, "Promises to Keep," the former VP talked about his time as a freshman at the University of Delaware, but there is no mention of Delaware State University.
Earlier this month, the Biden campaign named Delaware State University president Tony Allen to the campaign's transition team advisory council. Allen was previously a speechwriter in Biden's Senate office.
The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment by the Washington Times.
Biden's latest controversy comes only days after another resurfaced video clip shows him seemingly denigrating U.S. military service members by calling them "stupid bastards."
Biden made the remarks during a visit to Abu Dhabi on March 7, 2016.
"And I want you to know notwithstanding what you may hear about me, I have incredibly good judgment. One, I married Jill," Biden said in the video. "And two, I appointed Johnson to the academy. I just want you to know that. Clap for that, you stupid bastards."
Biden continued, "Come on, man. Man, you are a dull bunch. Must be slow here, man. I don't know."
The Biden campaign confirmed that the video is real and said that he was joking.
"Vice President Biden was jokingly encouraging the audience to clap for an airwoman on the stage, and a number of service members can be seen laughing and smiling at the comment," Andrew Bates, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign, said.
