‘She’s Politically Motivated’: Former Biden Surrogate Rips NY AG’s Comments
'The law should be separate from that'
Fox News host Harris Faulkner interrupted a Democratic strategist on Thursday to save him from embarrassing himself when he tried to draw a connection between President Joe Biden's leadership and Republican chaos in the House.
On Thursday, Biden announced new immigration policies meant to tamp down on the border crisis, including introducing a "parole" program for migrants from certain countries while tightening enforcement against migrants who illegally enter the U.S.
The announcement came just days before Biden is slated to visit El Paso, his first border visit as president.
Biden, without a doubt, made the announcement to quell criticism from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers who believe he has abdicated responsibility for the migrant crisis, which has been unfolding for the near entirety of his presidency.
Kevin Walling, a former Biden campaign surrogate, reacted to the policy changes by using them to attack House Republicans.
"What the president is signaling is a willingness now to work with House Republicans and Senate Democrats to forge some kind of consensus on immigration," Walling said. "These are positive things for the American people.
"When you compare that to the chaos we're seeing in the House of Representatives, you're seeing real presidential leadership on the border," he claimed.
Considering Biden has never actually visited the border, nor has he directly addressed the migrant crisis, Faulkner stopped Walling in his tracks.
"I'm gonna stop you there," Faulkner interjected.
"Because I think you're really going to be angry with yourself when you watch this back and you actually compared people dying at the border to people having political conversations inside the House of Representatives," she said. "So I'm going to help save you from yourself."

While many Democrats praised Biden's plan, not every Democrat was on board. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), for example, fiercely denounced it.
"The Biden Administration’s decision to expand Title 42, a disastrous and inhumane relic of the Trump Administration’s racist immigration agenda, is an affront to restoring rule of law at the border," he said in a statement, the Washington Post reported.
"Ultimately, this use of the parole authority is merely an attempt to replace our asylum laws, and thousands of asylum seekers waiting to present their cases will be hurt as a result," he added.
