Illinois Democrat Politicizes Waukesha Tragedy: It’s Karma for Kyle Rittenhouse

The bodies aren't even cold yet and the ghoulish left is already making light of the situation. Illinois Democrat Mary Lemanski, social media director for the Democratic Party in DuPage County, wasted no time whatsoever before poking jokes about the five dead and 40 injured at the hands of Darrell Brooks Jr.

How to ruin your career in one tweet by @MaryLemanski.pic.twitter.com/A6EssHI4n3
— Carmine Sabia (@Carmine Sabia) 1637583942

"It was probably just self-defense. #Wisconsin #KyleRittenhouse"

In replies to her tweet, which has since been deleted, she continued her vile and insensitive comments. Luckily, a forward-thinking Twitter user archived her repugnant behavior here.

"It's unreal someone can kill someone on video and be found not guilty on ALL accounts."

"I'm sad. I'm sad anytime anyone dies. I just believe in Karma and this came around quick on the citizens on Wisconsin."

This disgusting hag is obviously referencing the outcome of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, which ended with the jury finding him not guilty on all charges. Lemanski, like most left-wing, ignorant worms, obviously didn't like the outcome. And though she hasn't been the only one discovering new and more ridiculous ways of voicing her twisted emotions via social media, this may be the most tasteless.

It goes without saying, the lack of compassion in situations where the left can make political hay is astounding but hardly surprising. The blood cult that is the Democratic Party finds value in human life only insofar as it can be used for their ends, and Lemanski proves as much.

Ben & Jerry's blasted for spreading misinformation about Kyle Rittenhouse, inventing hypothetical scenario to bring race into the case

Progressive ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's dished out misinformation about Kyle Rittenhouse, plus completely invented a hypothetical scenario regarding the controversial shooting to racialize the powderkeg court case. The Vermont-based woke ice cream purveyor was called out for spreading a false narrative online.

The Rittenhouse shooting has absolutely nothing to do with race since the shooter and all of those who were shot were white men. Without a racial angle to exploit, Ben & Jerry's dreamt up a completely hypothetical situation out of thin air that never actually happened to bring race into the picture.

"The #RittenhouseTrial displays yet again that our 'justice' system is racist," the ice cream brand wrote on Twitter. "How would this trial be going if he was a Black 17 yr old that crossed state lines illegally carrying an AR-15 and shot 3 white protesters?"

The Rittenhouse trial is still ongoing and no verdict has been handed down yet, but that didn't stop the Ben & Jerry's from tweeting, "We need real justice in the legal system. This isn't it."

Ben & Jerry's – which is owned by multinational conglomerate Unilever that boasted revenue of approximately $58 billion in 2020 – promoted a fallacy about Rittenhouse that has been debunked for more than a year. The Lake County State's Attorney's Office released a statement on Oct. 13, 2020, clarifying that Rittenhouse never had possession of the firearm used during the Kenosha riots while he was in Illinois.

An extensive investigation was conducted by the Antioch Police Department regarding the gun used in a shooting in Kenosha on Aug. 28. The Lake County State's Attorney's Office has reviewed that investigation to determine if any crimes were committed in Lake County, Illinois. To that end, the investigation revealed the gun used in the Kenosha shooting was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin. Additionally, there is no evidence the gun was ever physically possessed by Kyle Rittenhouse in Illinois.

Fact-checker Lead Stories published an article this week titled: "Kyle Rittenhouse Did NOT Cross State Lines With An AR-15."

The gun he used in the shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was "purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin," the Lake County Illinois State's Attorney's Office said in a statement. A friend testified during Rittenhouse's 2021 trial that he purchased the gun used in the shooting in Wisconsin, The New York Times reported. Court records obtained by The Washington Post showed that the rifle used in the shooting in Wisconsin went from Wisconsin to Illinois and then back but it was in the trunk of a car driven by Rittenhouse's friend and was not in Rittenhouse's possession while he was in Illinois.

Also, Rittenhouse's weapon was a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle, not an AR-15 as the Ben & Jerry's post stated.

There was a swift reaction and backlash to the ice cream company incorrectly weighing in on the Rittenhouse case and sowing seeds of racial division.

Political commentator Stephen L. Miller: "The whole narrative blew up in their faces so they've now created a fictional teenager and story to fit the old one."

Writer Amelia Hamilton: "This is a false premise since Rittenhouse didn't do that either."

Radio host Derek Hunter: "The proper analogy would be if Rittenhouse were black and so were the people he shot, since they're all white now. And the reality is you wouldn't give a damn. That would be an average day that ends in 'Y' in Chicago and you haven't said anything about it for years."

Liberal journalist Zaid Jilani: "The framework here is a bit outdated. If a black guy shot three white rioters/antifa in today's political climate, the Republican Party would probably try to draft them to run for some kind of elected office."

Podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey: "These people do not live in reality. Their brains are total and complete mush. Absolutely insane."

Former officer in U.S. Army Special Forces Jim Hanson: "It's sadly comical to watch the left spastically fling the race card."

Actor Nick Searcy: "All @benandjerrys can see is race. Their communist ice cream is now also racist ice cream."

Former writer for "The Daily Show" David Angelo: "These two morons must have terminal brain freeze. Rittenhouse didn't cross state lines with a rifle, he didn't posses it illegally, and he shot 3 white felons who were attacking him as he fled (it's on video....). Libs are just another strand of flat-earthers. It's hopeless."

Musician Phil Labonte: "Rittenhouse is a white male and he shot three other white males. This trial has absolutely nothing to do with race."

Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec: "Ben & Jerry's once again spreading the false narrative that the people who attacked Kyle Rittenhouse were black."

A.G. Hamilton: "Again, this case has nothing to do with race. These people have broken brains and have normalized an idiotic and bigoted view of the world. And now major brands promote this garbage."

Former Republican candidate Rob Maness: "Rich corporation's defaming #KyleRittenhouse are going to have a tough time in court."

Former Democratic candidate Heidi Briones: "Aren't you ice cream?"

Ben & Jerry's isn't the only one attempting to make the Rittenhouse shooting into a racial tinderbox. Democratic politicians, mainstream media personalities, pundits, and online firebrands have racialized the case. Some have even labeled Kyle Rittenhouse a white supremacist despite there being no evidence of such.

Billionaire businessman takes to Twitter to defend 'civic-minded patriot' Kyle Rittenhouse, rips media for 'destroying lives' with biased reporting

The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, who faces homicide charges for his actions in three shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Aug. 25, 2020, during riots in the city, has been quite an event to observe. Rittenhouse has claimed from day one that he shot three men, killing two and wounding another, in self-defense. The state — as well as pro-rioting, anti-gun commentators, reporters, and activists — has claimed Rittenhouse went to Kenosha intending to kill people, which, in their reasoning, is the only reason he brought a rifle to the riots.

Over the last week, the courtroom proceedings have not gone the way Rittenhouse's critics had hoped. For example:

 • The prosecution has seemingly imploded, with its own witnesses undermining their case.
 • The presiding judge in this case ripped into the government's lawyers on multiple occasions.
 • Rittenhouse took the stand in his own defense and refused to crack under cross-examination.

Now people across the U.S. have had a chance to see Rittenhouse, hear from him, and view the full evidence — evidence the liberal media did not bother to share with the public over the last 15 months.

And the minds of some are being changed (even a member of the Young Turks) as they find out that the media hasn't actually told them everything about the incident.

Included in that group is billionaire businessman Bill Ackman — and he was more than happy to call out the media in a Twitter thread for failing to tell the whole Rittenhouse story and to blast them for biased reporting that is "destroying lives."

Instead of being the blood-thirsty gun-nut much of the media portrayed Rittenhouse to be, Ackman said he found the 18-year-old to be a "civic-minded patriot."

"Last night, Neri and I watched several hours of [Kyle Rittenhouse's] direct testimony and cross examination. We came away believing that #Kyle is telling the truth and that he acted in self defense," Ackman wrote, adding. "We found him to be a civic-minded patriot with a history of helping his community as an EMT and fireman in training, in his removing hate graffiti earlier that day from a local school, and ultimately in volunteering to protect a business during the night of August 25th in Kenosha."

He noted that his and his wife's "impressions of Kyle were materially different from those we had previously formed based on media reports and opinion pieces that we had consumed."

Last night, Neri and I watched several hours of .#Kylerittenhouse direct testimony and cross examination. We came away believing that #Kyle is telling the truth and that he acted in self defense. We found him to be a civic-minded patriot with a history of

— Bill Ackman (@BillAckman) 1636667992

Turns out Ackman is not a big fan of agenda-driven media — especially when he expects news outlets to get stories right on difficult issues that he or the public might not fully understand.

"I have always been frustrated to read an inaccurate press report about a subject I know well, yet somehow I continue to believe other articles in the same newspaper about subjects I know less well," Ackman said. "Media and political bias are dividing our country and destroying lives."

"While we have not heard the entire trial, based on our assessment of Kyle on the stand, we believe that he will be found innocent by the jury," he added.

He followed that prediction with a warning and a suggestion for communities that might "react negatively and even violently after a jury verdict" that catches them by surprise based on biased media reports they've ingested: "I encourage you to watch the trial, or at a minimum his testimony and cross examination, before you form a view of his guilt or innocence."

Noting that he's not a gun owner or NRA member and is, in fact, a proponent of more stringent gun regulations, Ackman lamented that "society's view of #kyle's innocence depends more on one's views about gun control rather than on what actually took place last August."

by the jury. Often times, communities react negatively and even violently after a jury verdict where they are surprised by the outcome based on what they have previously read in the newspaper, seen on TV or more likely been served on social media. I encourage you

removing loopholes in the sale of guns. Unfortunately it seems that society’s view of #kyle ‘s innocence depends more on one’s views about gun control rather than on what actually took place last August.

— Bill Ackman (@BillAckman) 1636667993

And that's unacceptable, the businessman continued, because "Kyle Rittenhouse's life is at risk."

"Justice demands a fair trial," Ackman said. "Society would benefit greatly if politics did not enter the court room and convict innocent people."

As if to prove Ackman's own point, a reporter contacted him, he said, asking if his Twitter account had been "hacked."

Apparently, he said, "the reporter couldn't conceive of the idea that I could believe that Kyle is innocent because I am not a right winger. Crazy."

Just got a call from the media asking if my Twitter account was hacked. That is, the reporter couldn’t conceive of the idea that I could believe that Kyle is innocent because I am not a right winger. Crazy.
