Will new 'Agatha All Along' series reverse Marvel’s downward trend?

Marvel’s surrender to wokeness has all but ruined the franchise. Longtime comic book fans have fled for hills when their favorite MCU characters have been gender-bent, race-bent, or altered to be more socially acceptable.

However, Disney+ will soon debut a new series called “Agatha All Along,” which follows Agatha Harkness, the villain from Marvel Studios’ "WandaVision.”

Could “Agatha” reverse Marvel’s downward spiral?

Lauren Chen, Blaze Media’s cinema critic, discusses the upcoming series.

Disney's NEXT FLOP: 'Agatha' Trailer Breakdownwww.youtube.com

Although the series won’t drop until September, the trailer alone has Lauren fearing that the show will be yet another money pit.

First, she doesn’t think the series will generate enough interest.

“It's not like this was a particularly popular character in the comics and even in ‘WandaVision,’ the show that introduced her,” she says.

Further, according to rumors Lauren is privy to, “the reason they're giving Agatha her own series is not just because she's potentially another girlboss character they can exploit, but also because they are hoping to resurrect Scarlet Witch in the MCU.”

Even the show's producers seem wary about the series, given that it was announced in 2021 but is premiering three years later.

“It definitely seems like the prolonged production period was due, at least in part, to uncertainty on behalf of the show's creators,” says Lauren, adding that the series “has had four different names at different points in time” – names that “had already been announced to the public,” further solidifying the theory that there’s an air of doubt surrounding the show.

MCU fans are also skeptical about the series appearing to be “more horror-centric” than other MCU shows, but Lauren would enjoy a darker series “if Disney could pull it off.”

As for the series’ wokeness meter, rumors have suggested that “they may make Agatha herself gay or at the very least bisexual,” says Lauren, referencing a Bounding into Comics article.

“I think we should expect this show to be completely lockstep in line with the M-She-U as of late,” she predicts. “I personally cannot wait to see how much of a flop [‘Agatha All Along’] ends up being.”

For all its faults, Lauren does see a couple of bright spots for the show.

“It doesn’t look cheap,” she says.

And Aubrey Plaza stars in it, but Lauren doubts that “she's going to be enough to save this series.”

‘Dr Who’ has WORST RATINGS in 60-year history after taking a ‘decisively queer step’

“Dr. Who” has been a fan favorite for the 60 years it’s been on air, but with its recent record low ratings on Disney Plus — that’s all changing.

“Not only is the show absolutely not doing well, but it is failing spectacularly. Like it is doing so poorly,” Lauren Chen of “Pseudo-Intellectual” comments, noting that the “show has been on the decline for a while now.”

Since the first episode of the season, fewer and fewer people are tuning in for more.

The issues began with the portrayal of Dr. Who — who is now a crossdressing black man — and went downhill from there.

“They were so focused on trying to pander to black people and queer people and get them interested in the show, they forgot about welcoming, like, just actual Dr. Who fans to watch the show,” Chen says.

“In fact, sometimes, they did the exact opposite. They told those fans to not watch the show if they weren’t happy with being force-fed progressive propaganda, and I’m not even kidding,” she adds.

The main actor has told people to not watch the show, addressing his critics in an April 2024 interview with Variety’s Ellise Shafer by saying, “Don’t watch. Turn off the TV. Go and touch grass, please, for God’s sake.”

This same sentiment was shared by a drag queen who plays a villain in the show.

“I know a lot of people might not even watch this season of 'Dr. Who' because it’s taking such a decisively queer step. However, if they watch, I think they’ll see that we’re just actors playing characters. And if they don’t watch it, then who needs ‘em? I truly believe that for every fan we lose to transphobia, we’re going to have two to three more coming in because they’re excited for trans representation,” Jinkx Monsoon said.

“How is that prediction working out for you?” Chen laughs.

New target acquired: Lauren Boebert calls for boycott against woke company The North Face

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado is calling for people to boycott The North Face. The congresswoman's call for conservatives to target the clothing and gear company is apparently in response to the brand's promotion of the LGBT movement.

The North Face recently released a video featuring drag queen Pattie Gonia. "Hi, it's me Pattie Gonia, a real-life homosexual," the drag queen said in a video, adding, "today I'm here with the North Face. We are here to invite you to come out," the gay man said, pausing before adding, "in nature with us!" The video marks the company's second straight year featuring the drag queen in a video.

Boebert called for a boycott against the company.

"Well, I guess North Face wanted to get a taste of what conservatives did to Bud Light and Target. How many times do we have to explain to the woke marketing departments at these disgusting companies that America is not a nation of degenerates? It's time to boycott ANY product North Face has ever made. Let's make it as shameful to wear North Face as it is to drink Bud Light!" Boebert tweeted.

\u201cWell, I guess North Face wanted to get a taste of what conservatives did to Bud Light and Target. \n\nHow many times do we have to explain to the woke marketing departments at these disgusting companies that America is not a nation of degenerates?\n\nIt\u2019s time to boycott ANY product\u2026\u201d

Anheuser-Busch has been facing consumer backlash for having transgender figure Dylan Mulvaney promote its Bud Light beer.

"North Face really told Bud Light, 'Hold my beer,'" actor Kevin Sorbo quipped when sharing The North Face's recent Pattie Gonia video.

Target has also recently been facing backlash for promoting the LGBT movement, including by offering pro-LGBT products for kids and babies.

The company was also offering a few items from Abprallen, a brand that has offered a pin that says "Satan respects pronouns." That pin was not part of Target's offerings, and it seems that Target has removed Abprallen products from its site.

"For more than a decade, Target has offered an assortment of products aimed at celebrating Pride Month. Since introducing this year's collection, we've experienced threats impacting our team members' sense of safety and well-being while at work," Target said in a statement. "Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior. Our focus now is on moving forward with our continuing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and standing with them as we celebrate Pride Month and throughout the year."

'There's just no excuse': Lauren Boebert blasts John Fetterman's uber-casual attire

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado criticized Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania for the extremely casual attire he opted to wear on Thursday.

While other senators at a Thursday press conference sported suits and ties, Fetterman, clad in a hoodie, shorts, and sneakers, offered a jarring visual contrast.

Fetterman is known for wearing hoodies, but Boebert took issue with senator's appearance.

"John Fetterman redefined Casual Friday on a Thursday morning. It's truly unbecoming for someone to show up like that to any job, let alone a job that only 100 people are elected to do. There's just no excuse for it," she declared in a tweet.

Others also sounded off about Fetterman's duds.

"Incompetent John Fetterman wearing a hoodie and cargo shorts while speaking at a press conference on the debt ceiling. An absolute disgrace," Alana Mastrangelo of Breitbart tweeted.

Logan Hall tweeted, "It should honestly be illegal for a sitting senator to appear in front of the general public dressed like this."

\u201cit should honestly be illegal for a sitting senator to appear in front of the general public dressed like this.\u201d
— Logan Hall (@Logan Hall) 1684433355

Fetterman returned to the Senate last month after an extended absence while he was undergoing treatment for clinical depression.

The left-wing lawmaker took office early this year after defeating Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania's 2022 Senate contest. Oz had been backed by former President Donald Trump.

Fetterman suffered a stroke last year shortly before winning the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate primary.

Boebert announced earlier this week that she is getting divorced.

"It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband," Boebert reportedly said in a statement. "I've always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult. This is truly about irreconcilable differences."

Fox reportedly not releasing Tucker Carlson's documentary about tyranny in Canada

Conservative media personality Tucker Carlson is no longer on the air at the Fox News Channel — and apparently, his documentary about tyranny in Canada won't be released.

The Canadian Press reported the documentary had been slated for release on Monday. But according to the outlet, a Fox spokesperson noted "there are no further episodes of Tucker Carlson Originals running" on Fox Nation.

But various other "Tucker Carlson Originals" documentaries currently remain available to view on the Fox Nation streaming service.

A preview of the Canada-focused documentary is still posted on the Fox News YouTube channel. "But what if tyranny arrived right next door? What would that look like? And what would our government do in response?" Carlson asked. He then asked whether the U.S. would "liberate the people living under authoritarian rule as we have around the world?"

A first look at 'Tucker Carlson Originals: O, Canada!' www.youtube.com

Fox News Media issued a surprise press release announcing the sudden split on Monday last week, and the channel's 8 p.m. ratings fell significantly without Carlson in the slot. Some people responded to the news of the split by canceling their Fox Nation subscriptions.

Carlson posted a video to Twitter on Wednesday that has garnered more than 23 million views so far.

"When honest people say what's true ... they become powerful," Carlson said, adding that "liars" attempting to "silence them" get "weaker."

"True things prevail," he said.

Many conservatives have expressed their support for Carlson.

"@TuckerCarlson’s star is only going to shine brighter and stronger than ever. We love you, Tucker!" GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado tweeted last week.

Fox News' 8:00 p.m. ratings plummet during first few days without Tucker Carlson

Fox News Channel's ratings for its 8:00 p.m. time slot have fallen off a cliff without Tucker Carlson this week.

Fox News Media claimed in a press release on Monday that the network and Carlson had "agreed to part ways." But the Wall Street Journal cited unnamed people familiar with the issue to report that Carlson learned he was being let go around 10 minutes prior to when Fox announced the news.

The Associated Press, citing the Nielsen Company, reported that Fox got 1.33 million viewers for the 8 p.m. slot hosted by Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday — that marks a steep decline from the 3.05 million viewers Carlson had last Wednesday, Nielsen noted, according to the AP.

The ratings have fallen each day for the first three days of this week. Kilmeade scored just 1.7 million viewers on Tuesday and 2.59 million on Monday, the AP noted.

The outlet said that Carlson drew 2.65 million viewers on Friday.

The conservative media personality had apparently expected to return to work this week because as he wrapped up the show on Friday, he said, "We'll be back on Monday."

But in the Monday press release, Fox News Media declared that "Carlson's last program was Friday April 21st."

On the heels of that news, some people took to social media to announce that they had canceled their subscription to the Fox Nation streaming service.

The brief video that Carlson posted to Twitter on Wednesday evening at 8:01 p.m. has amassed more than 20 million views so far, while the tweet that contains the video has more than 69 million views.

"This video has gotten over 15 million views in 14 hours. @TuckerCarlson's star is only going to shine brighter and stronger than ever. We love you, Tucker!" Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado wrote in response to Carlson's tweet.

There has been an outpouring of support for Carlson following the suprising news on Monday.

Some people have announced that they canceled their subscription to the Fox Nation streaming service.

Some members of Congress have expressed their support for Carlson.

REPORT: Discover credit cards enabling gun retailer purchase tracking starting in April

Discover Financial Services will allow tracking of purchases made at gun retailers starting in April, according to Reuters' exclusive report.

"First, Discover tracks your gun purchases. Then, Democrats take your guns," Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) tweeted Friday.

"They are coming for your guns little by little," Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) said in a tweet earlier this week.

"This is a massive problem Congress needs to address immediately!" Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) tweeted Thursday, using all-caps to emphasize "massive" and "immediately."

"It’s a ruse under the guise of stopping criminals from misusing firearms," wrote Larry Keane for National Shooting Sports Foundation, a firearm industry trade association.
"Fortunately for law-abiding Americans who support the Second Amendment, lawmakers at the state and federal level are saying 'Not so fast,' and proposing legislation to block the tracking of such lawful purchases," Keane added.
"Close your accounts y'all," advised Lavern Spicer, a former congressional candidate who ran for election in Florida in 2022.
\u201c@laurenboebert Close your accounts y\u2019all.\u201d
— Lauren Boebert (@Lauren Boebert) 1677795700
The controversial move makes Discover the first of its corporate peers to provide a hard date on implementing the tracking initiative, Reuters says.

The coming change follows an announcement by the International Organization for Standardization. The ISO reportedly decides on "classification of merchant categories used by payment cards." It approved launching a code specific to gun retailers last September.

The code, dubbed "5723 - Gun and ammunition shops," will not show specific purchases, according to Reuters.

"We remain focused on continuing to protect and support lawful purchases on our network while protecting the privacy of cardholders," Discover said in its statement to Reuters.
From Democratic politicians' and anti-gun activists' perspectives, the change is positive in that it will "allow financial institutions to better assist authorities in investigating crimes involving gun violence in the United States."
Opponents of the measure disagree, noting criminals regularly acquire their weapons on the black market where credit cards are not a part of the picture. Further, opponents argue, the move represents a threat to cardholders' privacy.
Tracking law-abiding Americans' retail purchases at firearms shops is only the beginning of the "scheme," Keane says. He notes that Amalgamated Bank CEO Priscilla Sims Brown has a broader aim, which she revealed to New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin.
That broader goal involves using "detection scenarios" that could prompt banks to file a Suspicious Activity Report to the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Such filings could be prompted, theoretically, for lawfully purchasing firearms, safety equipment, gear, or other items at a retailer identified with the 5723 code.

'How absolutely humiliating': AOC dances to protesters' chant — who wants to tell her what they're saying?

A video of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) making a smug fool of herself by dancing as protesters chant "AOC has got to go" is making the rounds on social media.

At a town hall event in Queens Wednesday night, AOC grinned and grooved while sitting on the edge of a stage as her angry constituents called for her removal from office.

Democrat candidate allegedly blackmailed by local businessman over extramarital affair: 'In a storage unit?'

A former business owner in Aspen, Colorado, has come forward with what he says is proof that he once successfully blackmailed a prominent Democratic candidate who was then on the Aspen City Council.

In an exclusive bombshell report from Breitbart, Todd Gardner alleged that he had video evidence that, several years ago, Adam Frisch — who is now running for Congress against Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) — had conducted an extramarital affair in a storage unit that Gardner rented to "a very well-known" local female resident.

In May 2017, while Frisch was a member of the Aspen City Council, Gardner claimed that Frisch held an assignation with the woman on the business property where Gardner rented several storage units and ran a small taxi business called High Mountain Taxi. After Gardner spotted Frisch in the parking lot and saw him follow the unnamed woman into the storage unit she rented, Gardner asked his business manager to go investigate.

Sure enough, Gardner recalled, "[M]y general manager saw Adam having sex with the woman that rented the storage unit. My general manager came back upstairs and came running into the office and was red and laughing hysterically.

"We continued to laugh hysterically in the office for quite some time," Gardner continued. "I called a few of my buddies, and they got a laugh out of it. Sex in a storage unit? Who wouldn’t?"

Then a year later, when the city council began to consider a proposal which would have impacted his taxi business, Gardner said he emailed Frisch and threatened to expose the affair if Frisch voted to support the proposal.

"I’ve attached a short video clip from our security system you might be interested in," Gardner wrote at the bottom of the initial email, which included security footage of Frisch meeting up with the woman at the storage unit. Breitbart claimed to have seen at least some of the emails that were exchanged between Gardner and Frisch over the next several months, though no images of any such emails were included in its report.

The proposal eventually failed in early 2019, and Gardner said he considered Frisch to be the "swing vote" against it. And now Gardner, who insisted he "can’t stand" Boebert, claimed he shared the security footage with her campaign and with Breitbart because he is worried that Frisch would sell his vote if he were ever elected to Congress.

"Adam has no integrity," Gardner said on camera.

"Adam's for sale," he added later.

Boebert expressed similar concerns. "My opponent was caught having an affair in a storage unit, shaken down by a cab driver & then sold out his vote as a sitting city council member to hide his secret," she tweeted on Thursday. "Imagine what Pelosi & the DC lobbyists will do with him! Aspen Adam’s vote is for sale!"

— Lauren Boebert (@Lauren Boebert) 1665680151

As Gardner has since moved to northern California, he has no direct interest in the race and cannot vote to affect the outcome.

"My only interest in getting this out there is one: Adam is a piece of crap and all he’s going to do is go to Washington and screw more women," Gardner stated. "But I just don’t want to see the conservative party lose another vote. We need the vote. Adam is a rubber stamp for the left."

Breitbart's video is not available to share. Breitbart stated that Frisch's campaign has not yet responded to the allegations.
