Selective Feminist Outrage Over ‘Barbie’ Oscars Snub Ignores The Victims Of Gender Ideology

Feminists hate when wealthy celebrities suffer, but turn the other way when female athletes, female prisoners, and girls suffer to spare the feelings of men.

Hillary Clinton includes '#HillaryBarbie' hashtag while wading into 'Barbie' movie Oscars controversy

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton posted a tweet on Wednesday in which she included the hashtag "#HillaryBarbie."

The 2023 "Barbie" film, written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, has been nominated in the writing category for an adapted screenplay, according to oscars.org. But Gerwig, who also directed the film, was not nominated for an Oscar in the directing category.

And while the movie has been nominated for best picture with Margot Robbie and other producers listed, Robbie, who acted in the movie, was not nominated for the actress in a leading role category.

According to CNN, Ryan Gosling, who was nominated for his supporting role in the movie, issued a statement in which he said "there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film." He noted, "To say that I'm disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement."

Clinton waded into the pop culture issue by issuing a message to the two women. "Greta & Margot, While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You're both so much more than Kenough. #HillaryBarbie," Clinton tweeted.

Candace Owens responded to Clinton's post, writing, "This is literally why everybody hates feminism. A bunch of hyper-privileged woke women are crying because a woman who played Barbie isn't being considered for best actress in an Oscar's category. This is the feminist plight today." In another post, Owens said of Clinton, "I so genuinely wish I could not vote for you again."

Clinton, a Democrat, lost the 2016 presidential contest to Republican candidate Donald Trump.

"Loved seeing so many moms & girls at the movies last summer, but political leaders (inc. failed ones) should NOT dabble in Oscar punditry," GOP Rep. Monica De La Cruz of Texas tweeted in response to Clinton. "It's bad for art and God knows our politics are already WAY too intertwined w/ entertainment. Stop treating politics like a telenovela!"

Only Cultural Marxists And Little Girls Believe ‘Barbie’ Director Is Entitled To An Oscar

The only people under the illusion that 'Barbie’s' director and lead actress are entitled to an Oscar are children and leftist zealots who measure art based on its politics.

Don’t Blame The Patriarchy For Ryan Gosling’s ‘Barbie’ Oscar Nomination

Ken Makes The Patriarchy Look Awesome

Ryan Gosling's hilarious and scene-stealing Ken backfired on 'Barbie,' making the best parts of the feminist film about men.

Beneath The Pink Patriarchy-Hate, ‘Barbie’ Tries To Answer: What Is A Woman?

Does 'Barbie' fully grasp the underpinnings of its own message about what it means to be a woman, and ultimately what it means to be human?

Where Was ‘Plus-Size Ken’ In ‘Barbie?’

Plus-size Ken had no place in Barbieland. And the Kens who did were mocked by their female counterparts for caring about fitness.

New 'Barbie' movie is TOXIC feminism to a T – 'Ken is just a great accessory'

When Lauren Chen first heard about Warner Bros.’ new “Barbie” movie, she couldn’t hide her excitement. Like many girls who grew up in the '90s, Chen loved playing with Barbie dolls as a child.

That excitement only escalated when she discovered that Amy Schumer, who was originally rumored to play Barbie, dropped out of the film because it wasn’t “feminist” enough for her taste.

“Amy Schumer thinking a movie is not feminist enough … is a seal of approval,” Chen says.

However, her enthusiasm quickly dissipated when comedian Kate McKinnon, who also plays in the movie, said that “Barbie” is “about how gender roles deny people half their humanity.”

“Red flags everywhere,” Chen responds, adding, “Even if you don’t fit into a gender role, trust me, we are open enough as a society where your humanity will not be denied.”

Further, “Why is the discussion of gender roles happening in my Barbie movie?” she scolds. “I just want to see Barbie … wearing different outfits and looking cute, maybe driving around in a pink convertible. Is that too much to ask?”

Unfortunately, humanity-denying gender roles aren't the only woke concept pushed in the movie. Men, or “the Kens,” are portrayed as no more than accessories.

Issa Rae, another actress in the film, is quoted saying, “I think a Ken is just a great accessory. That’s what I loved about Greta’s imagining of Barbie … the Kens are just supplemental characters to these Barbies; while Barbies can do everything, Kens are there to kind of support and don’t necessarily have their own story.”

Reduce men to accessories, thus driving home the idea that gender roles deny humanity? That makes a lot of sense …

“I love it when male characters are just poorly written in two dimensions; that’s just the backbone of a great movie, obviously,” Chen retorts.

But that’s only the beginning of “Barbie’s” wokeism.

“There are actually more warning signs about this movie, more indicators that say ‘you should not go see it,”’ Chen says, unless you want to pay to hear “Hollywood weirdos lecture [you] about their fringe, elitist political views.”

Joan Collins says Hollywood parties are 'dull' because of cancel culture, declares there are only 4 real stars in Tinseltown

Legendary actress Joan Collins says Hollywood parties are now boring because celebrities are afraid of cancel culture.

Collins told Best magazine this week, "The parties I go to now are kind of — dull. They are red carpet things in which everybody does behave. If you don’t behave now you are going to get cancelled."

Collins made similar comments in October 2021 when talking about why she doesn't use social media.

"I don't want to engage in any way, shape, or form with these morons," Collins told the New York Times.

"People can't say what they think, because they'll get canceled," she proclaimed. "Dredging up tweets from 15 years ago, about what somebody might have said when they were 14, I think that's sick."

Collins told the paper, "The thing is you can't say anything these days without being canceled. What am I allowed to say?"

The Emmy Award nominee also slammed the #MeToo movement for ruining men.

Collins stated, "Sadly, I think that now young men are suffering from being labeled toxically masculine because of this rise of anti-maleness."

"I believe that women are equal to men in every single way," she said. "Except physical strength. People say you didn’t burn your bra, you wear lipstick. So what? I’m very proud of being a woman."

Collins previously noted, "What's wrong with mother? What's wrong with woman? Girl? I don’t like having that word taken away."

In the most recent interview, the 90-year-old "Dynasty" actress declared that Hollywood lacks the star power of yesteryear. Collins – who has been in the entertainment industry for 70 years – said that there are only four real stars left in Hollywood: Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, and Keanu Reeves.

"I think Nicole Kidman is fabulous and Margot Robbie is one of the great beauties," Collins said this week. "Particularly Brad, he is like one of the movie stars of the Golden Age."
