Woman taken into custody after reportedly stabbing three including a 71-year-old at Atlanta airport

A crazed woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing three people Wednesday at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to the City of Atlanta Police Department, officers encountered 44-year-old Damaris Milton brandishing a knife outside the security checkpoint, walking to the South Terminal.

Footage of the incident shows the suspect screaming, pointing the knife threateningly, and taunting police.

APD Sgt. John Chafee told WSB-TV, "Officers encountered her, began to talk her into dropping the knife, limited her movement."

Rather than comply, the suspect stabbed a female airport clerk and the APD lieutenant who had attempted to take her into custody.

Police sources told WAGA-TV that the knife struck an artery in the 71-year-old lieutenant's leg and nicked the clerk.

After this initial bloodletting, another officer managed to tackle the suspect to the ground and disarm her. Later, police learned that the suspect had allegedly stabbed the driver of a taxi who had taken her to the airport.

Police indicated all three victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and are expected to recover.

The airport reportedly gave the all-clear roughly 40 minutes after the initial stabbing. No flights were reportedly canceled.

Milton, apparently a resident of Orlando, Florida, was taken by Jonesboro Police Department officers to the Clayton County Jail. She has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that authorities are investigating what led to the stabbings, which appear to have been random.

"It doesn't appear that there's a connection between her and them, but that’s something we'll be looking into," said Sgt. Chafee.

Mitch McConnell's latest freeze-up sheds light on a MUCH BIGGER issue

We talk a lot about politics on here, but when it comes to Sen. Mitch McConnell, politics need to be set aside.

Back in July, McConnell froze mid-speech at a news conference, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a one-time incident.

This past Wednesday in Covington, Kentucky, McConnell froze again when reporters asked him whether he was planning on running for re-election.

Like him or not, the man clearly has glaring health concerns that should prevent him from serving.

“This is not about politics. It's about our country,” says Glenn Beck. “For the love of Pete, resign.”

“The man is clearly suffering,” adds Stu Burguiere.

But Mitch McConnell’s unfortunate situation sheds light on a much bigger issue.

“It shows you the power of the machine,” says Glenn. “They'd rather have somebody like him who's no longer capable of doing it themselves because then they can just do what they want.”

But the reality is that term limits are “among the most popular policy proposals in our discourse— we're talking about 80% support across the board,” says Stu.

And Republicans are not the only ones who are pushing for policies that will prevent Mitch McConnell and Dianne Feinstein-like situations from happening; Democrats and Independents are as well.

Unfortunately, with the way things are currently set up, “Mitch McConnell could run today, and they'd still vote him in,” says Glenn.

Old people need to stop running our country

Mitch McConnell’s term runs through 2026, but many aren’t so sure he should be in office at all.

The internet was set ablaze yesterday when McConnell was recorded speaking to reporters at a press conference and then suddenly stopped speaking at all.

The Kentucky senator halted mid-sentence and appeared to stare blankly into the distance before stepping back from the podium and being led away.

“This is what happens when you stay in office forever,” Pat Gray comments, adding, “They’re hell-bent to drop dead in office.”

However, McConnell did make it back to the podium where he faced a few questions regarding what had happened.

A reporter asked McConnell what happened at the beginning of the press conference and earlier this year when he had suffered a concussion.

“I’m fine,” McConnell responded.

“You’re fully able to do your job?” The reporter pressed further.

“We’ve got so many of these situations in Congress. In the presidency, okay? Starts right at the top with Joe Biden. You’ve got Nancy Pelosi who’s been compromised. You have Dianne Feinstein who’s 90, and everybody admits that she’s deep into dementia of some sort,” Gray continues.

Even John Fetterman, who isn’t quite up there in age, has his issues.

Gray believes something needs to be done about this.

“It’s not good for the country. So, maybe we should take that into consideration. Start, I don’t know, being honest that you can’t stay in office indefinitely,” he says.

Mitch McConnell RETIRING after potentially serious BRAIN DAMAGE?

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was hospitalized after a fall last month and may be on the verge of retirement because of it.

The fall left him with a severe concussion and potentially serious brain damage. According to reports, he’s been in and out of the hospital and rehab.

Sara Gonzales says it's also being reported that “Republicans in the Senate are scrambling to come up with a new game plan” because of this.

She adds, “Sources are saying that he is going to announce immediate retirement. Not like, ‘Hey, I’m going to retire at the end of my term,’ but immediate retirement.”

Gonzales believes this could be a moment for change.

“This would be the chance to have some sort of a ... new leader who is actually conservative.”

Actor Matthew Marsden joins Gonzales to give his thoughts on the matter.

“If he’s mentally impaired and physically impaired, then he should just become a Democrat and get elected another six times.”

“I’m not joking, I mean come on,” he adds.

Matthew J. Pearson chimes in.

“Now we have a bunch of geriatric people who are clawing for dear life.”

While Gonzales and her guests wish McConnell well, Pearson agrees that “there’s an opening to shake up leadership.”

Gonzales points out that it’s not just McConnell whose time may be up.

“Dianne Feinstein,” she says, “89 years old.”

And she’s not the only one.

“Chuck Grassley,” she continues, "89 years old as well. Bernie Sanders, 81 years old.”

“I don’t even know if Joe Biden’s alive and he’s the president. So, they’re very good at propping these people up [and] using them as the puppets that they are supposed to be.”

Capitol Records parts ways with AI-generated rapper FN Meka after allegations of racial stereotyping

Less than two weeks after Capitol Records announced a partnership with "the #1 virtual being" on TikTok, the music industry giant has decided to nix the deal.

On August 11, Capitol boasted that it had "signed" with FN Meka, a virtual rapper created and powered by artificial intelligence. The announcement coincided with the release of FN Meka's new single, "Florida Water," featuring real-life artists Gunna and Clix.

FN Meka had also released two singles back in 2019, "Internet" and "Moonwalkin'," the videos for which garnered millions of views. FN Meka has 10 million followers on TikTok, making him "the #1 virtual being on the platform," Capitol stated at the time.

But by August 23, Capitol Records had decided to scrap the deal after civil rights groups and other activists took issue with what they saw as racial stereotypes depicted in FN Meka's avatar and lyrics.

In a tweet with the message "Have you lost your FN minds?", Industry Blackout, a self-described "unified body of black people in the industry committed to changing the community" released a statement condemning the virtual rapper project, claiming it reinforced negative stereotypes about black people.

"We find fault in the lack of awareness in how offensive this caricature is," the statement reads. "It is a direct insult to the black community and our culture. An amalgamation of gross stereotypes, appropriative mannerisms that derive from black artists, complete with slurs infused in lyrics."

Though the statement does not give any specific examples of such racial stereotyping, FN Meka's lyrics do include repeated use of the N-word, and a few years ago, his now-private Instagram account shared an image depicting FN Meka as the victim of police brutality.

— mitch (@mitch) 1661244740

In addition to the racial stereotypes, rapper Danny Brown took issue with non-black industry executives creating a digital rapper with whom real-life black rappers must compete.

"So if he comes up and this does real good, and this is successful," Brown said on his podcast, "other record labels are going to be like, ‘F*** it, I gotta get me an AI-generated rapper.’ I mean, bad enough we competing with each other. You know how many rappers it is in the world? It’s too many of us! It’s definitely too many f***ing rappers. […] Now you’re telling me we gotta compete with computers, too?"

Capitol Records has since released a statement, apologizing for the project.

"[Capitol Records] has severed ties with the FN Meka project, effective immediately," the label group said in a statement released on August 23. "We offer our deepest apologies to the Black community for our insensitivity in signing this project without asking enough questions about equity and the creative process behind it. We thank those who have reached out to us with constructive feedback in the past couple of days — your input was invaluable as we came to the decision to end our association with the project."

FN Meka is the brainchild of Factory New co-founders, Anthony Martini and Brandon Le. Though some outlets have reported that FN Meka's voice is also a digital creation, rapper Kyle the Hooligan claimed that FN Meka is his voice rapping lyrics that he wrote.

"It wasn’t no AI," Kyle claimed. "It was my voice, pitched up."

"[Capitol Records] promised me equity and a percentage into the character," he added. "... [But] I never even got compensated."
