Motorist with long criminal history allegedly tries to run over a father and son. But Dad has a gun.

A motorist with a long criminal history allegedly tried to run over a father and son Saturday in Florida — but authorities said the father fatally shot the motorist.

Marcus Blicker, 47, followed two vehicles driven by a neighbor’s son and his friend and aggressively swerved toward them in traffic, deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office told the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Blicker was found dead in the driver’s seat of his pickup.

The neighbor's son called his father and told him he was being followed, the News-Journal said.

When the son and his friend got to the father's home on Jackson Lane in Port Orange, deputies told the paper that Blicker arrived there as well and started yelling and threatening the son and his friend. Port Orange is about 15 minutes south of Daytona Beach.

The homeowner fired warning shots, asking Blicker to leave, the News-Journal reported.

However, the paper said Blicker around 7:40 p.m. tried to ram them with his truck and was shot.

When deputies arrived at the scene, Blicker was found dead in the driver’s seat of his pickup, the sheriff's office told the News-Journal.

The incident was captured on video and audio recordings that support the accounts of the shooter and witnesses, deputies told the paper.

No criminal charges have been filed against the homeowner who shot Blicker, the News-Journal reported. The sheriff's office added to the paper that the shooting remains under investigation.

The News-Journal also noted that a Rottweiler in Blicker's truck was injured during the shooting, after which Volusia County Animal Services responded and took the dog for veterinary care. The dog is expected to recover, the paper said.

The News-Journal, citing court records, said Blicker has a long criminal history. He was arrested in 2020 for aggravated stalking, for which he served 12 months' probation, the paper said, adding that in 2012 he was sentenced to 12 months' probation for battery after punching a woman in the cheek at the Flagler Tavern in New Smyrna Beach.

Philly cops: Stick-up victim who got shot also had a gun, opened fire on suspect. Video shows suspect fleeing.

Philadelphia police on Monday told Blaze News that a stick-up victim who got shot Friday night also had a gun and opened fire at the suspect. Dashcam video from the victim's vehicle shows the gunman fleeing after having advanced upon the victim's vehicle.

What are the details?

Dashcam video recovered from the victim’s vehicle shows a black Nissan Murano stop in front of the victim at a traffic light at Old York Road and Cheltenham Avenue, police said.

Video shows a male emerging from the passenger side of the car and pointing a gun while walking toward the victim's car.

So, why did the gunman change his direction so quickly?

WTXF's Steve Keeley posted on X that the suspect "points gun at [the] driver & then realizes [the] driver is armed, too & starts shooting."

The end of the dashcam video appears to show the victim firing about six shots as the car in front drives away.

Blaze News on Monday asked police if the victim fired at the suspect, and police told Blaze News that "we can confirm that the shooting victim did fire his weapon at the offender. He is licensed to carry a firearm."

Police added that the suspect fired several gunshots into the windshield of the victim's car and that they found the 31-year-old victim in his vehicle suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition, police said.

The suspect’s vehicle was last seen traveling north on Old York Road into Cheltenham Township, police said.

Now what?

Police are looking for two suspects who were in the Nissan Murano from which the gunman emerged:

  • One is a black male with a heavy build and full beard who was wearing a black skull cap, large glasses with black frames, black hooded jacket with a Nike logo on the left chest, gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.
  • The other is a black male wearing a black balaclava-style mask, black zip-up jacket over a white shirt, and black or gray pants with a black belt.

VIDEO: Antifa militant jumps on car's hood as fellow comrades close in. So the driver — reportedly an elderly man — hits the gas.

Left-wing militants posing as protesters are an eccentric bunch, to put it mildly.

Particularly when they assemble to block vehicle traffic on freeways and street-level intersections. To borrow a common phrase, they think they own the road.

Showing no apparent fear that they'll be run over by motorists, their M.O. is to form a small army and stand in the way of moving vehicles — fully expecting motorists to stop.

And the strategy has pretty much worked. Drivers typically have been the first ones to blink, and depending on how much fear is involved, might even consider themselves lucky if they can make U-turns and escape with just a few dents and broken windows.

Yes, America — we have new kings and queens of the streets.

But not every driver dutifully bows at their throne.

What happened?

Surveillance video caught the moment when a motorist came upon a group of about 20 black-clad Antifa militants forming a complete blockade of a Seattle intersection just before 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @jasonrantz

At the start of the clip, a couple of drivers, on cue, abandoned the idea of getting too close to the militants staring them down in the crosswalks and simply turned around to search for other routes.

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @jasonrantz

But one driver apparently was in no mood to capitulate.

Video shows the driver stopping about 50 feet from the intersection at the top right of the screen — and an Antifa militant waving what appears to be a flashlight at the car.

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @jasonrantz

However, this particular driver chose not to turn around or sit idly by — and moved the vehicle forward. This irked Antifa a lot, and one comrade decided to show how irksome it was by jumping on the car's hood.

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @jasonrantz

Yowsa. The Antifa faithful began running toward the vehicle, and the driver quickly hit reverse — with the militant still on the hood.

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @jasonrantz

And perhaps deciding that it would be a better idea to get out immediately rather than watching his car get smashed to bits — or worse — the driver hit the gas and simply sped through the roach-like swarm.

With the Antifa stuntperson still atop the hood.

What happened next?

Conservative commentator Jason Rantz of KTTH-AM tweeted that the driver — an elderly male — was the victim and released. But Rantz said the individual on the hood was arrested.

In a subsequent tweet, Rantz added that the suspect — a female — claimed minor injuries and was headed to a hospital but was not being booked.

Rantz added a "PSA" to his tweet thread: "You do not have the right to block traffic, jump on the hoods of cars, or otherwise interfere with the rights of drivers or pedestrians, even if you think you're a freedom fighter or hero."

VIDEO: Driver trying to get home comes face to face with bikers in BLM march. No one moves out of the way — then things turn ugly.

Cellphone video caught the moment things got ugly between an SUV driver trying to get home and several motorcyclists involved in a Black Lives Matter march.

And it all went down in Stillwater, Minnesota — population about 20,000 and around 30 minutes east of Minneapolis.

What happened?

Video posted Saturday to Twitter begins with the angry driver exiting his vehicle after apparently trying to left turn on Stillwater Avenue — but police told TheBlaze Monday that the trio of bikers in front him were trying to make a left as well.

A fourth biker actually had already turned left and was past the driver's vehicle on the other street:

The bikers may have been expecting the driver to back up or get out the way; they certainly didn't seem to be giving him a passage.

But not this time. The driver began yelling at the bikers that "I live here!" and pointed down the road.

With that a large biker in a dark vest — who stood a few inches taller than the motorist — appeared to challenge the driver and told him, "I don't give a f***." But the driver got up in the biker's face and moved forward on him until the biker shoved the driver.

Then a bigger shoving match ensued:

And by the time police arrived, the motorist may have appeared to be the aggressor:

Because police took the motorist away:

Police told TheBlaze on Monday that they detained the driver briefly, got him and his vehicle home safely after the march went through the intersection, and that there were no charges, citations, or arrests. Police also told TheBlaze that it's commonplace for streets to be blocked during marches.

Oh, there's more

There are two other videos showing the march. In one video, a woman on a megaphone tells the marchers about "an angry motorist who refused to move his car. The police were on the scene, and lo and behold, a miracle of God, they took him away, put him in the back of a squad car, they moved his vehicle out of the street so we can peacefully continue our march!"

And in the other clip, a man on a megaphone hollers at residents, "If you think black lives matter, you can come march with us, you can come join us. If you don't, you can stay up at your house. You can stay up in your driveway looking at us like we're doing something crazy when we're just here trying to fight for our lives."

Leftist leans half her body out car window amid traffic to flip off Trump fans. Then cops pay her a visit — and much glee ensues.

We don't know when or where the video was recorded — but our funny bones sure are glad it exists.

What are the details?

A woman is behind the wheel of car during daytime traffic, and according to Twitter user WOP_45, she becomes enraged at attendees at a rally in support of President Donald Trump.

So triggered was she that the motorist is heard on the clip screaming obscenities — specifically "F*** Donald Trump!" And she underscores her rage with a middle finger:

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @WOP_45, redacted

But the Trump fans just happily hoot and holler back at her, and then she loses it.

You see, while her first bird-flip takes place as she sits in the driver seat in a stationary vehicle, the outraged woman's next act is offering a second message to the Trump faithful: A double middle finger as she leans half her body out the window — no seatbelt employed, natch — and while her car is in motion.

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @WOP_45, redacted

Oops

At that point she apparently comes to her senses, realizes she's not paying attention to traffic, and slams on the brakes. The Twitter poster says she hit the vehicle in front of her — the Trump fans do let out a rousing yell with applause after her sudden stop — but it's not clear from the clip if she actually bumps the vehicle in front of her or not.

Whatever actually happened in those few seconds, there's no mistaking the pair of police officers who walk up to her window. Maybe they saw her without her seatbelt on and not paying attention to traffic; maybe she did indeed hit the vehicle in front of her. Who knows?

Image source: Twitter video screenshot via @WOP_45

Regardless, as previously stated, we're sure glad the clip exists — and it's worthy of multiple watches.

What did commenters have to say?

It will come as no surprise that commenters on the video were overjoyed:

  • "That was the best thing ever," one commenter wrote. "When someone is that angry, flipping you off: you laugh and laugh. It makes them more insane. Now she has to sit and hear more laughter while the cops talk to her. Wish I had been there."
  • "Everyone knows to set parking brake before flipping double-birds," another commenter said.
  • "That scene exemplifies the entire Democrat party, everything the do because of their hated of Trump, comes back and bites them in the ass," another commenter noted.

Left-wing protester — who's also a convicted felon — arrested after pointing gun at Louisville motorist

Sometimes those peaceful, gun-shunning leftists can surprise you.

Seems one of them who took part in a Louisville protest march Friday evening pointed a gun at a motorist — and to top it off, the arrestee is a convicted felon, WDRB-TV reported.

What are the details?

Louisville Metro Police on Saturday released video taken from a police helicopter that was circling over the march, and it shows a woman — identified as Robin Ash — pointing a gun at the driver of a dark gray Ford Taurus, the station said.

Ash is facing charges of wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and criminal mischief, WDRB reported, citing court records.

But others at the scene defended Ash, saying the driver pointed a gun at demonstrators first, the station said.

In the police video, which contains no sound, the car in question is traveling in the opposite direction from the march — and one protester appears to be standing in the left-hand turn lane the car enters.

The car comes to a stop after passing the protester, and that's when the trouble starts.

Several protesters approach the car, including a woman who pulls out a gun and points it at the motorist.

After another protester appears to intervene, the woman who pointed the gun walks away from the scene and seems to place something in her pocket or waistband.

Image source: Facebook video screenshot via Louisville Metro Police Department

Others remained near the car and WDRB said one person appears to kick the vehicle while other protesters try to get the crowd away. The police video shows the car drive a short distance down the street before it comes to a stop, and the station said the driver exits the car as police gather around the vehicle and protesters continue to move forward.

Another video, another story

Sheri Wright took her own video of the march and posted a clip of the incident involving the car on her Facebook page, WDRB said — and at a Sunday news conference at the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, she said the motorist "tried to run over protesters."

Wright's video shows the Ford Taurus drive closely past at least two people marching in the street before coming to a stop, the station said.

More from WDRB:

As Wright approaches the car, video shows the man behind the wheel pulling out a gun and pointing it at the demonstrators near his car. Ash is not seen approaching the car in Wright's video, which is focused on the driver's window.

Wright follows the car as it moves a few feet down the road, and her video shows the man get out of the car and again point a gun at protesters as he inspects a dent in his vehicle. The man then gestures in the direction of police, who are seen moments later moving the crowd away from the vehicle.

Image source: Facebook video screenshot via Sheri Wright

Here's Wright's video. (Content warning: Language):

"What do you do when somebody threatens you with a gun? You know, you run or you defend — fight or flight," Wright said, according to the station. "So I'm not going to knock anyone who felt her life was threatened, because I certainly felt my life was threatened, as did everyone there."

She added to WDRB that police "surrounded themselves around this man and his vehicle in a protective fashion."

"It seems very one-sided as far as where LMPD interjects itself into a conflict," Wright also noted to the station. "From my observation, they want to protect the people who are opposed to the protesters against police brutality. I've seen this over and over and over again."

What did police have to say?

Sgt. Lamont Washington said in a statement that the motorist wasn't arrested because he was a victim in the incident, WDRB said.

"LMPD released the video to show the whole story," Washington added to the station. "A still photo or single angle often doesn't do that. No charges are expected of the driver whose name will not be released since he was the victim."

Motorist runs over Black Lives Matter supporter who refuses to get out of SUV's path — and cops charge suspect

A motorist in Johnson City, Tennessee, was caught on cellphone video running over a Black Lives Matter supporter who refused to get out of the SUV's path during a demonstration over the weekend — and now police have arrested and charged a suspect.

What are the details?

Video posted to social media showed a white Ford Expedition accelerating into two people who stood in front of the vehicle in a crosswalk near the intersection of West State of Franklin Road and Spring Street, the Johnson City Press said, adding that protesters and police said the vehicle left the scene.

The victim, a 31-year-old Johnson City man, was taken to a hospital for treatment, the paper said, adding that a 26-year-old Johnson City woman who also was struck by the SUV didn't have injuries requiring treatment.

Brent Chaffin — a protest organizer who witnessed the incident — told the Press that demonstrators were marching from the Johnson City Police Department when they stopped to protest on either side of a crosswalk near the intersection.

Chaffin said the driver began inching forward, trying to get past the demonstrators, the paper reported. Video shows the driver appearing to run over at least one of the two protesters standing in front of the SUV, the Press said.

What did the victim have to say?

The victim was interviewed at the hospital, according to a court document obtained late Monday, the paper said, adding that he told police he was walking his dog and taking photos when he joined the Black Lives Matter protesters.

As the group crossed the street, some drivers grew impatient and honked their horns, the Press reported, adding that someone in a black vehicle gave the finger to demonstrators while maneuvering around the group.

The victim told police the driver of a white SUV honked, kept inching forward at about two miles per hour, and then bumped him before knocking him down and running over his legs, the paper said.

The motorist drove away without attempting to assist or check on the welfare of the victims, the Press said.

In the video, several people could be heard yelling that the vehicle had North Carolina tags, and a plate number was reportedly given to police, the paper said, adding that authorities said they got video from other witnesses, neighboring businesses, and a traffic camera.

On Sunday police said they identified a person of interest and were coordinating with North Carolina authorities to locate the vehicle involved, the Press reported.

While the suspect wasn't found at his residence, the paper — citing a court document — reported that a Johnson City police investigator got a phone call from a North Carolina attorney who said the suspect was in the process of hiring a Tennessee lawyer and planned to turn himself in Monday, which he did.

Who is the suspect?

Police said Jared Benjamin Lafer — a 27-year-old from Bakersville, North Carolina — was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident and released on $20,000 bond, the Press said, adding that Lafer was set for arraignment at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

What did Black Lives Matter have to say?

The day after the incident, demonstrators took to the streets again, with several dozen stopping at the same crosswalk and protesting on both sides, occasionally moving back and forth, the paper said.

Alyjah Gilmer — an incident witness and founding member of the New Panther Initiative, a Johnson City-based Black Lives Matter group — had a few other things to say at Sunday's demonstration, the Press reported.

"We don't stand for that," Gilmer noted to the paper. "It's definitely uncalled for, so we're going to do everything we can to show [the man who was run over] we are behind him, that we are against anybody showing out in such a manner. We are going to stand 10 toes behind our people 100% no matter what. We're out here to make a statement, but a positive statement."
