Dispatch From Eagle Pass: Biden Officials Won’t Enforce Laws But ‘Don’t Want Anyone Else To’ Either
Biden won't like what Texas governor just said on Fox News
On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Biden administration regarding its ongoing war with the state of Texas. The court declared that federal agents be permitted access to the border, where they will remove the razor wire fences Texas officials have erected as a means of keeping out illegal immigrants.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, however, has defied these orders. In an official statement released earlier this week, Abbott declared that Texas’ constitutional right to self-defense superseded federal statutes. Now, the state has begun reinstating previously removed razor wire fences.
Yesterday, Abbott explained his decision to defy Supreme Court orders on Fox News.
“Because the Biden administration has really, truly abdicated its responsibility to secure the border and enforce the laws, Texas, very simply, is securing the border,” he told Fox News’ Dana Perino.
“We put up all these barricades that actually have denied illegal entry … There are criminals coming across our border, and Texas has a right as a state to stop criminals from coming into our state [and] to make arrest of those criminals. We have the National Guard as well as Texas Department of Public safety officers who are there to make those arrests and to deny illegal entry,” he continued.
“Joe Biden does actually have an option here. Joe Biden’s option is to enforce the laws of the United States and stop this illegal entry.”
“It seems to me that we have needed this fight for a long time. This is overdue,” Dave Rubin tells Sara Gonzales and Michael Malice.
“This is treasonous on part of the Biden regime. This is absolute treason. It is contrary to what is in our founding documents [and] to what our Founding Fathers intended,” says Sara, adding that “if the Biden administration really cared about Americans, they would be thanking Texas for doing what they couldn’t do.”
“Unless the plan was to destroy America, in which case, they’re not so thrilled,” says Dave.

This is HUGE! Texas defies SCOTUS and rebuilds wire border fence
The ongoing battle between the Biden administration and the state of Texas continues. On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that federal border agents be permitted to cut and remove razor wire Texas had set up to prevent illegal crossings.
Gov. Greg Abbott responded by issuing a statement declaring Texas’ constitutional right to self-defense as the supreme law of the land that overrides any federal statutes imposed by the government.
Now Texas has taken it a step farther by rebuilding the wire border fence that had been cut per Biden’s orders.
Showing a clip of the Texas National Guard being deployed at the border, Dave Rubin notes that “those are good decent Americans … doing what is right for their state.”
“They are only doing it because for months now the federal government has not done anything about [the border crisis]. Actually the federal government has gone out of its way to make sure that, as Greg Abbott pointed out, 6 million people in three years” crossed our border, says Dave, noting that this mass admittance is an “intentional” way to “destroy a nation from the inside.”
Another clip shows razor-wire fences being rebuilt along the border.
“It actually does work,” says Dave, which is why the federal government “[doesn’t] like barbed wire.”
To see the footage of the wire fences being rebuilt along the Texas border, watch the clip below.

Republican governors are drawing the line on Biden’s border invasion
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has drawn the line on Biden’s border invasion and written a letter addressed to the American people and the president — and other Republican states are now joining him.
“The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the states,” Abbott began. “The executive branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting states, including immigration laws on the books right now.”
“President Biden has refused to enforce those laws, and has even violated them,” Abbott continued before accusing Biden of violating his oath to faithfully execute immigration laws.
“Instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, President Biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue Texas for taking action to secure the border,” he wrote. “The effect is to illegally allow their en mass parole into the United States by wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas border security infrastructure.”
“States should not be left to the mercy of a lawless president,” he added.
Glenn Beck believes Abbott is right.
“He is declaring the Constitution covers this; he’s pointing out where it covers this, how it covers this, and that now the federal government has no authority because they failed to do their duty,” Glenn says.
“Don’t blame Texas— blame the federal government,” he continues, “this is the time for the states to stand together.”

Texas Isn’t ‘Ignoring’ The Supreme Court, It’s Upholding The Law
'Enough is enough': List of states signaling support for Texas' self-defense continues to grow
Texas made clear Wednesday that it will continue to defend itself against the ongoing "invasion" of illegal aliens despite efforts by the Biden administration to otherwise render the border porous and the state exposed.
The Lone Star State is apparently not alone.
Other Republican states have begun to rally behind Texas, calling out the executive branch for its apparent failure to address the crisis at the border.
What's the background?
Blaze News previously reported that Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a statement on Jan. 24 stressing both that Texas has the "constitutional authority to defend and protect itself" and that this authority "supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary."
This apparently provocative statement came days after the U.S. Supreme Court vacated a lower court's order against the Biden Department of Homeland Security, thereby allowing it to remove defensive razor wire along Texas' southern border with Mexico.
"The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States," wrote Abbott. "The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now. President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them."
Abbott claimed that the Biden administration's failure to fulfill its duty to protect each state against invasion, codified in Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution, has "triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense."
The governor's statement appeared to account for why — in defiance of the Biden White House, which admitted the razor wire at the border "got in the way" — Texas began installing more wire and border defenses this week with state agencies vowing to hold the line.
In response to Texas' stated and visible efforts to protect both American sovereignty and itself, various Democrats called on the geriatric president to seize control of the Texas National Guard and to all but force the Lone Star State to submit.
Rallying cry
Several Republican governors have expressed support for Texas' self-defense or have at least decried the Biden administration for letting things degenerate to the point where such defense was required.
One hour after Abbott shared his statement online, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) announced, "Oklahoma stands with Texas."
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wrote, "If the Constitution really made states powerless to defend themselves against an invasion, it wouldn't have been ratified in the first place and Texas would never have joined the union when it did. TX is upholding the law while Biden is flouting it. FL will keep assisting Texas with personnel and assets."
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) later stated, "Virginia stands with Texas. [Abbott] is doing the job Joe Biden and his border czar refuse to do to secure our border. The Biden administration has turned every state into a border state. We must stop the flow of fentanyl, save lives, and secure our southern border."
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) said, "Enough is enough. Our southern border is in crisis thanks to the Biden administration's refusal to do their job. [Abbott] and the state of Texas have our full support."
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) underscored that Abbott "is exactly right to invoke Texas' constitutional authority to defend itself. The Biden Administration has created a national security crisis and put Americans in danger. Their failure is an unconstitutional dereliction of duty. South Dakota has been proud to help Gov. Abbott's efforts to secure our border."
Other Republican governors appeared less committed but nevertheless expressed appreciation for Texas and antipathy for the federal government over its apparent inaction.
Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte (R) suggested in a tweet that Abbott "is doing what @POTUS won't. By refusing to act, President Biden is inviting cartels, illegal drugs, and human trafficking into the United States. We must secure the southern border."
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) said, "The border is a disaster that continues to spiral out of control, both in terms of people and deadly fentanyl traffic. This is not a partisan issue. This is a national security issue. This is a common sense issue. This is an American issue. Utah thanks Texas and Gov. Abbott for stepping up where the Biden Administration has failed over and over again."
While the leaders of other red states — including Govs. Bill Lee (Tenn.), Brad Little (Idaho), Jim Pillen (Neb.) and Tate Reeves (Miss.) — do not appear to have issued similar statements as of Thursday morning, they have nevertheless committed troops, law enforcement agents, support vehicles, and other resources to Texas in recent years with the aim of shoring up America's defenses.
Some Republicans in Washington have also voiced support for Texas and its ability to defend itself.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) joined Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) and Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R) in signaling support, tweeting, "I stand with Governor Abbott. The House will do everything in its power to back him up. The next step: holding Secretary Mayorkas accountable."

Did Soros 'Republicans' make it ILLEGAL for Texas AG Ken Paxton to prosecute voter fraud?!
Ken Paxton was acquitted by the Texas Senate on Saturday on 16 articles of impeachment, and some are not so happy about it.
A recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece written by the outlet's entire editorial board states, “Mr. Paxton’s defenders are spinning that he was saved by a populist national conservative groundswell to put an end to the 'Bush era' in Texas. What a joke.”
“The acquittal,” the piece continues, “may not play out so well for Texas Republicans in the longer run. A federal investigation into Mr. Paxton is continuing amid reports that a grand jury has been impaneled.”
“I’ve been investigated ever since the day I walked into this office,” Paxton tells Glenn Beck. “I have no doubt that the Biden administration would love to find some way — they’ve been working on it for years to get rid of me, and part of that process was the impeachment.”
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Paxton also mentioned that the Texas Courts of Appeals recently made it illegal for him to prosecute voter fraud.
“Is that true?” Glenn asks Paxton.
“Yes, that is correct. They struck down a law from 1951,” Paxton tells Glenn. “In 1951, the legislature directed the attorney general — it’s the only thing I have original jurisdiction on as it relates to criminal matters.”
Paxton is convinced those who struck down this law are “not Republicans.”
“They struck down this law, and it said that I don’t have the authority to go to court as attorney general because I’m in the executive branch. That was their rationale for striking down things. [It's] unconstitutional for the attorney general to be in court,” he continues.
“That is the most insane decision ever, but they did it. And now it’s up to the local DAs to prosecute,” Paxton adds.
Paxton believes this decision opens up Texas to voter fraud.
“The people of Texas need to know that.”
