'Shut the f*** up': Vivek tells off Van Jones for saying he's 'dangerous' and a 'demagogue' — and AmFest crowd goes wild

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told Van Jones to "shut the f*** up" in response to the CNN commentator recently calling him "dangerous" and a "demagogue" following a GOP debate — and the crowd at Turning Point USA's America Fest went wild after Ramaswamy's profane declaration Sunday.

What are the details?

Ramaswamy during his address from the AmFest stage said, "You got this character, Van Jones, on CNN afterwards saying, ‘This is the rise of an American demagogue who’s gonna live 50 years longer than Trump. This is dangerous. I am shaking.’ That’s what he says. Just shut the f*** up. At a certain point, just shut the f*** up. Van Jones at CNN. We're done with it."

“We demand a government that tells us the truth again in this country. That’s what we require. We can handle the truth. That’s what it means to be a citizen of this country,” Ramaswamy also said, according to the Hill.

What's the background?

During the GOP debate earlier this month, Ramaswamy said that "the Great Replacement Theory is not some grand right-wing conspiracy theory, but a basic statement of the Democratic party's platform."

Jones later ripped Ramaswamy on CNN:

That guy is dangerous. That’s dangerous. When those people were saying, "Jews will not replace us, Jews will not replace us," that slogan sits on top of a very sick and twisted view that if you bring enough people of color here, we are so deficient, we are so stupid, we are so unwanted that we will be zombies to fill out the ranks for some Democratic Party agenda that Jewish people are manipulating and driving forward. That leads to violence, that puts at risk Jewish people, that puts at risk people of color. It is wrong, and the smug, condescending way that he just spews his poison out is very, very dangerous, because he won’t stop Trump, but he’s gonna outlive Trump by about 50 years, and you’re watching the rise of an American demagogue that is a very, very despicable person. Literally, I was shaking listening to him talk because a lot of people don't know that is one step away from Nazi propaganda coming out of his mouth.

Ramaswamy quickly responded on social media to Jones' words, characterizing his "histrionics" as "next-level."

The Hill said it reached out to Jones' representatives for comment following Ramaswamy's "shut the f*** up" declaration to Jones.

Watch: Vivek Ramaswamy RIPS into Nikki Haley over identity politics

The fourth GOP debate had no shortage of drama and theatrics. One notable moment was when Vivek Ramaswamy tore into Nikki Haley for rooting her campaign in identity politics.

He claimed that identity politics has become America’s “new religion that says your race, your gender, and your sexuality are your identity.”

“It’s anti-American; it’s anti-meritocratic,” he said before criticizing the fact that “Nikki Haley's campaign launch video sounded like a woke Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light ad talking about how she would kick in heels” and how “at the first debate, she said that only a woman can get this job done.”

“I reject the use of identity politics in this party; it has been a cancer coming from the left, and I'm sick and tired of the double standards,” he criticized over a mixture of cheering and booing from the audience.

“Amen,” says Sara Gonzales in agreement. “You don't need to be walking around claiming that being a woman gives you some sort of special powers.”

Glenn Beck REACTS: Who won & who kissed their chances goodbye at last night's GOP presidential debate?

Last night’s GOP presidential debate landed some candidates on the moon, others among the stars, and a few somewhere out in deep space.

Glenn Beck unveils his reactions to each of the candidates’ performance:

“Asa Hutchinson, oof – he’s over.”

“Chris Christie I think is alive to live another day, maybe, but he's looking more and more like a marshmallow. … I thought he seemed very, very out of touch.”

“Nikki Haley is, uh … Nikki Haley.”

Doug Burgum: “No matter how many times he came on screen, I was shocked by the eyebrows, and my first thought was 'who is that again?'”

“Tim Scott was fine.”

“I think there [were] really two winners tonight,” Glenn says, but he first lets the Blaze polls speak for themselves.

According to the BlazeTV audience, 37.2% thought Ron DeSantis won, while 52.2% gave the gold medal to Vivek Ramaswamy.

“There were too many times for me, at least, where [Ramaswamy] put his hand up boldly first, and even DeSantis looked a little wishy-washy at times with his hand,” says Glenn.

Ultimately Glenn thinks “the race really is between those two and then Donald Trump.”
