Glenn Beck recaps the MOST INSANE month in US political history

It’s been a long, treacherous month — especially if you love your country.

To kick it off, President Joe Biden shocked half of the nation at the presidential debate by confirming what the other half — conservatives — have been saying all along. That of course is that his apparent mental decline.

“It was a frightening moment for many Americans. Not because ‘Oh my gosh he’s going to lose to Donald Trump’ but because that guy is the guy who’s running the country,” Glenn Beck says.

Shortly after, former President Donald Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“So we don’t know who’s in charge, and then a week later the guy running against him is gunned down on live television, and we really don’t know what happened,” Glenn continues, noting that we then were faced with the realization that the Secret Service director was a DEI hire.

“The head of security of the Security Service, we all figured out and found out, was hired by the first lady. Not the president. The first lady was the one who pushed for her DEI hire at the Secret Service. And she was protecting PepsiCo and now the most important leaders of the world,” Glenn says in disbelief.

When the now-former Secret Service director — who just resigned — gave her testimony on what happened on July 13, her lack of ability to answer questions had Americans everywhere asking a new question.

“Wait a minute, was this a setup?” Glenn asks, recalling the testimony. “What are they covering up? If they’re not covering something up, why wouldn’t they just be honest and open and transparent?”

And of course, there’s Biden’s resignation from the 2024 presidential race.

“I think he should have resigned, not just from the candidacy but from the presidency of the United States,” Glenn says. “He’s not okay to run a campaign, but he’s okay to run the country?”

Then Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in to replace him as the Democratic candidate for 2024.

“The party elites picked her, and then they had a coup and picked her again,” Glenn says.

“I just want you to recognize why you might be on edge. Why you might be so tired right now. A lot has happened to your country that you love.”

“Your country has taken a beating over just the last three weeks,” he adds.

WATCH: Glenn Beck unpacks Biden’s Oval Office speech — 'He is NOT fit to rule'

Last night, President Biden gave a speech from the Oval Office. It’s the first time he’s spoken since he announced his declination of the Democratic nomination in the 2024 election.

In his address confirming that he would “pass the torch,” Biden reiterated that “democracy is at stake” and that he would be “focused on doing [his] job as president” until the end of his term. He also chronicled all of his “accomplishments” over the course of his leadership — many of which were blatant lies (i.e., “securing our border”) — and promised to continue working hard to lower costs, protect our freedom, and fight extremism, among other endeavors. He then endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and said, “The choice is up to you — the American people.”

If you’re reading this and scoffing, you’re not alone. Glenn Beck was appalled, although not necessarily surprised, by Biden’s speech.

As for the president’s promises to “continue to lower costs for hardworking families,” “grow our economy,” “[defend] our personal freedoms and our civil rights — from the right to vote to the right to choose,” “[call] out hate and extremism,” “protect our kids from gun violence and our planet from climate crisis,” and “call for Supreme Court reform,” Glenn is most concerned about the last one — reforming the Supreme Court.

“This is anti-republic and anti-democratic,” he says, adding that “the Supreme Court is actually shrinking the size of the federal government and returning the power closer to you at the state level.”

“[Democrats] don't like that, and quite honestly, it's because they do believe that they know better than the average American,” he explains.

Biden also stated that “the great thing about America is here, kings and dictators do not rule; the people do,” making his intentions to reform the Supreme court “pretty ironic” — not to mention the fact that Kamala Harris has already been all but coronated by the Democratic party.

But perhaps the most disturbing aspect of Biden’s speech was his feigned contentedness at dropping out of the race.

On July 20, while in supposedly isolated quarantine, Biden posted the following tweet:

“Less than 24 hours later, not even a full day, Joe Biden steps down, and he does it again by a tweet,” says Glenn, noting that the letter lacked an “official presidential letterhead” and featured “a signature uncommon from the way he usually signs.”

What happened?

“It was a coup. It was a threat,” says Glenn.

Alex Jones’ ‘eerily accurate’ prediction on Biden leaving the race — and what may happen next

President Joe Biden ended his campaign this week, and to no one's surprise, Alex Jones was right again.

“Your prediction was eerily accurate to the day on which he would step down,” Liz Wheeler of “The Liz Wheeler Show” tells Jones. “Who’s behind that? Who made him step down? I have a very hard time believing that it was him.”

“We know the answer to that,” Jones says confidently. “The question is: What are the specifics?”

“It’s a big deal,” he continues. “Biden’s been out of his mind for years, the perfect puppet, and now they know that one’s going to buy a new election steal if it’s him. So, they want Kamala or Newsom or Hillary or ‘Big Mike’ Michelle Obama or Kamala. Anybody but him.”

“That’s why I’ve been predicting they would remove Biden imminently. Which they did,” he adds.

While no one knows exactly what has happened to the president, there are theories swirling. And Jones has his own.

“The point is that Biden was refusing to step down, and I said last week, I said, ‘He will have a medical emergency,’” Jones says. “They just tried to kill Trump, that's failed. Biden’s refusing to step down. It’s the same Deep State that wants full control and people that follow their orders.”

Now that Biden’s out, Americans have been left wondering who the Democratic nominee will be. While it seems that Kamala Harris will step into Biden’s shoes, Jones isn’t so sure.

“It needs to be Kamala on paper under the law to get the 198 million as of yesterday — it’s probably up now,” he tells Wheeler.

“But the Democrats have said that they want to have kind of a weird snap primary where the delegates or the donors with the delegates decide who’s there to at least act like it’s Democratic,” he continues.

“I mean, the sky’s the limit. They already tried to kill Trump, in my view. They already tried to take Trump off the ballot. They’ve already done all this, so we’re really seeing the desperate coup of the Democrat-controlled Deep State out in the open right now,” he adds.

Olympics composer, 52, resigns after it's revealed he boasted in '90s about tormenting disabled kids during childhood — including making one eat his own feces

A Japanese composer working on the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony resigned Monday after it came to light he bullied classmates during his childhood, the Associated Press reported.

What are the details?

Keigo Oyamada — also known as "Cornelius" — in the 1990s boasted to Japanese magazines and in interviews that, among other things, he forced a mentally disabled boy to eat his own feces and masturbate in front of other students, NBC News reported.

"These reflections were not looked back on regretfully, but instead were seen as funny childhood moments," the popular blog ARAMA! JAPAN wrote, according to the network. "He spoke of them in a boastful nature."

As the start of the Tokyo Games approached, Oyamada's past behavior surfaced online and sparked a backlash on social media that included demands for his resignation, the AP said.

Now 52, the composer said on his Twitter and Facebook pages that "I sincerely accept the opinions and advice I have received, express my gratitude, and will keep them in mind for my future actions and thoughts. I apologize from the bottom of my heart," the outlet added.

Oyamada also said he was "very immature" when he tormented his classmates and felt "deep regret" about what he did, NBC News said, adding that he said he'll "try to be a better person."

The network said Oyamada's critics ripped him, including one Twitter user who wrote, "How can a person who committed such discriminatory and violent acts [be] considered qualified for getting involved in Olympic and Paralympic Games?"

What did Olympics officials, others have to say?

Olympics officials had said Sunday that Oyamada would stay on because he had shown remorse, the AP reported. But hours after Oyamada submitted his resignation, the powers that be reversed their stance and called the composer's actions "absolutely unacceptable" and acknowledged that their earlier decision to let him stay on in light of his apology was "wrong."

"We offer our deepest apologies for the offense and confusion caused to so many during this time," organizers said, according to the AP.

Atsuko Kubo, head of an association of families of the mentally disabled, in a Sunday statement "strongly protested" Oyamada's past actions and said his targeting of the disabled — and boasting about it years later — was disturbing, especially since those with special needs are less likely to fight back, the AP added.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato on Monday said Oyamada's past bullying goes against government policy of achieving an inclusive society and "cannot be tolerated," the outlet reported.

Organizers also said Monday that a segment of music Oyamada composed for Friday's opening ceremony will not be used, the AP reported, citing NHK public television and other Japanese media. Oyamada also will be removed from his planned role in the Paralympics opening ceremony, the outlet said, citing NHK.

Texas Democratic Party official resigns amid backlash after using racial slur against Sen. Tim Scott

A Democratic Party leader in Texas has resigned following outrage after he publicly used a racial slur in referring to African American Republican Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.).

What are the details?

Sen. Scott delivered the GOP retort to President Joe Biden's first speech before a joint session of Congress last week, wherein he declared that America is "not a racist country." Afterward, the Republican received waves of racist abuse online from leftists.

Texas' Lamar County Democratic Party chair Gary O'Connor joined in on the attacks, writing in a now-deleted Facebook post, "I had hoped that Scott might show some common sense, but it seems clear he is little more than an oreo with no real principles."

As TheBlaze previously noted, "by calling Scott an 'oreo,' O'Connor was suggesting that Scott — the lone black U.S. senator — is black on the outside, but white on the inside."

O'Connor was hit with a flurry of calls for him to resign over the post, and he has now stepped down.

"I am deeply and sincerely sorry for my inappropriate and hurtful use of [the] racist term I used to describe Sen. Tim Scott on my personal Facebook page," O'Connor told The Washington Examiner on Tuesday. "It was insensitive, and I have embarrassed myself and my party by its use."

He added, "As a result, I feel compelled to offer my resignation as chair of the Lamar County Democratic Party for consideration by the County Executive Committee."

Anything else?

Following Scott's response to Biden's speech, the term "Uncle Tim" trended on Twitter for several hours, after countless progressives used the play on the racist term "Uncle Tom" to refer to the Republican senator.

Fox News noted that "Congressional Democrats — whose platform vehemently opposes racism — have remained silent on the slur targeting Scott that trended amongst their voting base."

Over the weekend, Scott denounced the racist attacks made against him, telling CBS' "Face the Nation," "Fighting bigotry with bigotry is hypocrisy."

"The question we should be debating and fighting over is: How do we resolve those issues going forward?" he said. "One side says, 'I'm going to take from some to give to others.' Our side, what I've suggested, is: Let's expand opportunity and make sure that we are fully equipped for the challenges of the future."

Rep. Matt Gaetz's communications director resigns amid further serious allegations against lawmaker

Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz's communications director has resigned after the lawmaker was hit with further claims amid the Justice Department's investigation into alleged sexual misconduct.

Gaetz vehemently denies all of the accusations made against him and says he is "not resigning."

What are the details?

MSNBC first reported Friday that Luke Ball, Gaetz's communications director, "quit out of principle," according to an unnamed person familiar with the matter.

Ball has not yet responded to several requests for comment on the matter, but Gaetz's office issued a statement later in the day saying that "The Office of Congressman Matt Gaetz and Luke Ball have agreed that it would be best to part ways. We thank him for his time in our office, and we wish him the best moving forward."

On Tuesday, Gaetz acknowledged to Axios that the DOJ is investigating him over allegations of sexual misconduct, after The New York Times reported the probe and claims that the lawmaker had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old. The Times noted that "investigators are examining whether Mr. Gaetz violated federal sex trafficking laws" by allegedly paying for the minor to travel with him.

Gaetz, 38, said that accusations are completely false, and claimed they were drummed up as part of an extortion plot from criminals trying to get $25 million from his father. He told Fox News' Tucker Carlson that the man who led the scheme is a former Justice Department official named David McGee. McGee denies Gaetz's claims.

On Tuesday, The Times reported in a follow-up piece that the DOJ is focusing on Gaetz and indicted former Florida tax collector Joel Greenberg's "involvement with multiple women who were recruited online for sex and received cash payments" from the men in exchange for drug-fueled hotel romps. Greenberg, an ally of Gaetz's, currently faces several felony charges including sex trafficking of a minor.

The story goes on to say:

In some cases, Mr. Gaetz asked women to help find others who might be interested in having sex with him and his friends, according to two people familiar with those conversations. Should anyone inquire about their relationships, one person said, Mr. Gaetz told the women to say that he had paid for hotel rooms and dinners as part of their dates.

Gaetz's office said in response to the report that "Matt Gaetz has never paid for sex," and the lawmaker "refutes all the disgusting allegations completely." It added that "Matt Gaetz cherishes the relationships in his past and looks forward to marrying the love of his life."

CNN then reported late Tuesday that Gaetz allegedly showed House colleagues nude photos and videos of females while bragging that he had slept with the women.

Gaetz denies all the reports, and told The Washington Examiner in a text, "I'm not resigning."

Anything else?

The Daily Mail reported Friday that Gaetz "is expected to be indicted within the next few weeks," after "the alleged victim, who has not been named, testified before a Florida grand jury this week saying she had sex with the conservative Republican before she turned 18."

White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah resigns

White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah announced her resignation on Thursday, issuing a statement expressing her pride in being a part of the accomplishments made by the Trump administration.

What are the details?

Farah, 31, entered the administration as press secretary to Vice President Mike Pence in 2017, then transferred to the same role at the Pentagon before returning to the White House to serve as communications director.

In a statement regarding her departure, Farah expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve her country. While she did not mention President Donald Trump directly in her statement, she did point to a litany of his achievements and said that working for his administration was "the honor of a lifetime."

"Under this Administration, the ISIS caliphate was destroyed, American hostages were returned home, NATO is stronger than ever, we've brokered historic Middle East peace deals, and I was on the ground in Kabul for the announcement of a historic peace deal between the Afghan Government and the Taliban aimed at ending America's war," she wrote.

"We delivered historic tax cuts, putting money back into the pockets of hard working Americans," Farah continued. "We rebuilt the judiciary with Constitution abiding independent jurists and we worked to create the most inclusive economy in American history - that gives every citizen a real chance to achieve the American dream."

Farah said she was leaving to "pursue new opportunities," and the news is buzzing over where she might end up next.

One America News Network's Alex Salvi reported that "Farah has been interviewing with agents, pursuing a television job after her White House departure."

According to The Washington Post:

Farah's last day is on Friday, and she plans to start a consulting firm focusing on the corporate, political and defense realms. She had initially planned to leave before the election, according to one person familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reveal private discussions.

Prior to joining the Trump administration, Farah worked as an aide on Capitol Hill, first as communications director for former Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) —who is now White House chief of staff — before serving as spokesperson for the House Freedom Caucus.
