Women interviewing for Bill Gates' private office were asked about porn, STDs, if they ever 'danced for dollars': Report

Women interviewing for jobs in the private office of billionaire Bill Gates were asked personal questions about their private lives, according to a new report.

The Wall Street Journal reported that female candidates applying for jobs in Gates' private office were interviewed by a security firm and were asked questions about their sexual histories, pornography preferences, and whether they had ever "danced for dollars."

"Some people who sought jobs at billionaire Bill Gates’s private office described going through an extensive screening process that included being questioned by a security firm about their sexual histories, past drug use, and other parts of their private lives that might indicate they were vulnerable to blackmail," according to the Wall Street Journal.

Candidates claimed that applicants for jobs at Gates Ventures were asked if they ever had a sexually transmitted disease, ever had an extramarital affair, or if they had any nude photos of themselves on their phones.

The Wall Street Journal noted that none of the male candidates they had contacted said they were asked the same personal questions as the women.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

A consent form, reviewed by the Journal, said a behavioral assessment by a Concentric professional would be used to “assess suitability for employment” by Gates’s private office and would include drug and alcohol history as well as past medical and psychiatric history as it relates to the job. The form, requiring a signature from the job candidate, gave permission to disclose the results from the assessment to Gates’s private office, including “highly sensitive information,” and “does not allow for the re-disclosure of sexually transmitted diseases,” the document shows.

Carol Miaskoff, legal counsel at the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, said any questioning about a candidate’s health or psychiatric history before a job offer "is just flat-out prohibited by the federal Americans With Disabilities Act."

Miaskoff added that job interview questions about past drug use may also violate the same law because they may reveal addiction – which is considered a disability.

Concentric said its screening process complies with all applicable laws.

A spokesperson for Gates said his private office has not heard about the personal questions in the interview process by the third-party contractor.

"This line of questioning would be unacceptable and a violation of Gates Ventures’ agreement with the contractor," who must comply with pre-employment screening laws, the spokesperson said.

"We have never received information from any vendor or interviewee in our 15+ year history that inappropriate questions were asked during the screening process," the spokesperson said in a statement. "We can confirm, that after a comprehensive review of our records, no employment offer has ever been rescinded based on information of this nature."

A Concentric spokesperson denied asking questions about sexual or medical histories.

The spokesperson said the security screening involves "assessing a candidate’s truthfulness and vulnerability to blackmail, which often starts with voluntary statements by the candidate with follow-up questions by company interviewers."

"Concentric CEO Mike LeFever said that the company provides industry-standard background checks for hundreds of companies and its pre-employment interview protocol, which is identical for men and women, is compliant with laws in each state and nation where it provides services," the WSJ reported.

The security firm said it doesn't provide hiring recommendations.

The Concentric Advisors website states that the security firm has "supported private family offices for high-net-worth clients for almost two decades."

"Concentric provides investigative and global due diligence services for corporations, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and private clients," the site says. "Through a combination of public records research and interviews, Concentric’s pre-employment diligence and background investigations provide a thorough review of employees, partners, home staff, third-party agents, and others."

Concentric Advisors boasts that it has investigators who are former CIA and FBI agents.

Gates, the fourth-richest person in the world with a net worth of $132 billion, acknowledged in 2021 that he had an affair with a Microsoft employee 20 years ago.

In 2019, Microsoft launched a probe into Gates' "intimate relationship" with an employee.

"Microsoft received a concern in the latter half of 2019 that Bill Gates sought to initiate an intimate relationship with a company employee in the year 2000," said Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw. "A committee of the Board reviewed the concern, aided by an outside law firm to conduct a thorough investigation. Throughout the investigation, Microsoft provided extensive support to the employee who raised the concern."

"There was an affair almost 20 years ago which ended amicably," Gates' spokeswoman, Bridgitt Arnold, said in 2021.

New York Democrat accused of sexual harassment by top aide, complaint says assemblyman talked about genitals and his son's sexual encounters with underage girls

A former top aide has accused a New York Democrat assemblyman of sexual harassment and creating a toxic work environment. The Democrat talked about genitalia and his teen son's sexual encounters with underage girls, according to an eye-opening report.

Damning accusations of sexual harassment have been made against Assemblyman Patrick B. Burke of Buffalo, New York. Nicole Golias, Burke's former legislative director, claimed the Erie County Democrat of several accusations of sexual harassment.

Golias, who worked with Burke from September 2021 to May 2022, filed a complaint accusing the 38-year-old New York Democrat of making lewd comments about women's bodies and remarking about underage girls who were seen in sexual videos with the assemblyman's son.

The Buffalo News reported on Friday, "Two other people with firsthand knowledge of Burke’s behavior in his district office also said they witnessed conversations in which the assemblyman used language they considered inappropriate and commented on women’s looks."

Golias claims that Burke made "vulgar, crass, and sexually explicit comments."

Golias said, "Pat would do stuff that made us pretty uncomfortable with regularity."

The former top aide accused Burke of telling his staff that "he had viewed sexually explicit videos of his son and female partners on his son’s Snapchat account."

The upstate New York outlet reported, "Burke called his teenage son’s sexual partners 'hot,' Golias said. Golias said she told Burke that the people were minors. According to Golias’ complaint, Burke, using a profane term, told his staff that if the partner had large breasts and 'a size zero waist,' 'she's hot.'"

Matthew T.H. Dearing, the assemblyman's former director of community relations, claimed that he felt "very taken aback" by Burke’s "comments about the girl’s physique."

"He said the girls in the videos were ‘hot and it didn’t matter that they were under aged [sic]," the New York Post reported of the complaint.

Golias and Dearing accused Burke of commenting on the genitalia of a man Golias was dating.

Burke has refuted the accusations against him. He said that he "absolutely" did not comment on the bodies of men and women.

Golias claims that Burke brought psychedelic mushrooms into the office.

The complaint reads, "This behavior included comments about himself as a 'colonizer' because he had control and dominion over his wife because he is Caucasian and his wife is Puerto Rican."

Golias and Dearing alleged that Burke "would do anything he could to appear cool and attractive."

Burke has denied the accusations. He called the accusations "absurd" and "a lie."

Burke lashed out after the complaint, "Ms. Golias' behavior was egregious during her brief tenure in my office, and it is an outrage that she would accuse me of the very behavior she not only participated in, but fostered. She has twisted the truth and outright lied in the past, and she is doing it again for monetary gain."

Golias is seeking unspecified damages for lost wages and emotional distress in her sexual harassment complaint.

Golias was one of three staffers to be fired last year after controversy surrounding the Tops mass shooting in Buffalo.

"Assemblyman Pat Burke's now former staff members said he indicated he wanted to make a fiery speech on the Assembly floor denouncing white supremacy and the so-called Great Replacement Theory," Spectrum News 1 reported last May.

"Dearing, Keany, and Legislative Director Nicole Golias, who was also on the call, felt it was clear Burke was worried taking too strong a stance would not play well in his traditionally white Irish Catholic district," the report stated. "Dearing, Burke's only Black staffer, said he was directed to turn his attention to gathering volunteers to collect independent nominating petitions for Burke."

Burke said the three former employees were fired for "gross insubordination."

'Well-liked among the ladies': Check out all the celebs who gushed over 'national sex symbol' Andrew Cuomo last year

Readers of TheBlaze likely recall a magical time last year — well, maybe magical for half the country — when far-left New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was all the rage and seemingly could do no wrong.

Oh, that Emmy

In fact, Cuomo received 2020's International Emmy Founder's Award "in recognition of his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his masterful use of television to inform and calm people around the world."

Yup, an Emmy.

Cuomo also received 2020's Edward M. Kennedy Institute Award for Inspired Leadership fo the same reason, despite New York at the time sporting the most COVID-19 deaths in America.

Oh, and then there were the celebrities who lauded Cuomo not only for his political swagger, but also because a number of them — self-described "Cuomo-sexuals" — said they were enamored with him in a not-just-friends kind of way. In fact, it was said of Cuomo that he was a "national sex symbol," "well-liked by the ladies," and "single and ready to mingle."

None of the accolades — particularly with regard to Cuomo's apparent animal magnatism — aged particularly well considering he announced his resignation from the governor's chair Tuesday following ramped-up allegations of sexual harassment against him.

But sometimes it does the heart good to indulge in a little nostalgia. That said ... roll 'em!

For the record, it was Ben Stiller who referred to Cuomo as the "Love Gov" and a "national sex symbol" (although allegedly they were the words of Cuomo's brother, CNN host Chris Cuomo). Late night TV host Jimmy Fallon said Cuomo was "well-liked among the ladies" and "good looking."

Late night TV host Stephen Colbert — an unapologetic leftist — attempted to comfort Americans' "perfectly natural" feelings of being "Andrew-curious, if not fully Cuomo-sexual." TV hosts Trevor Noah and even Ellen DeGenerous admitted the same amorous tugs.

Anything else? (Oh, you betcha)

The aforementioned accolades weren't the only ones showered upon Cuomo:

I’m in Love With Andrew Cuomo 💋“ANDY”🎶

And who among us can forget TV host Chelsea Handler's revelation late last year that she asked Cuomo out on a date and was hopeful she could "flatten his curve" and they could "apex together" — to say nothing of the fact that during their "repartee" that she "would sexually harass him on his Instagram."

Major news networks go silent on sexual harassment allegations against liberal darling Gov. Andrew Cuomo

The newscasts for CBS, NBC, and ABC were silent Sunday night following news of the sexual harassment allegations against Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

What's a brief history here?

Lindsey Boylan, a former Cuomo aide, said that her ex-boss was guilty of sexually harassing her.

Boylan served as deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser in Cuomo's administration from 2015 until October 2018.

Cuomo has since denied all of Boylan's allegations against him.

What are the details?

According to a Tuesday report from the New York Post, those networks by Monday morning hadn't even reported on the allegations.

Newsbusters reported that three major networks' morning shows — NBC's "Today," CBS' "This Morning," and ABC's "Good Morning America" — "all avoided the accusations against the governor, despite a combined six hours of available air time."

Fox News on Monday also reported that "transcripts revealed that CNN and MSNC didn't mention Boylan's claims during the 24-hour period following her shocking tweet."

On Sunday, Boylan — who is running as a Democratic candidate for Manhattan Borough president — tweeted, "Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years. Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years."

She added, "Not knowing what to expect what's the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it. No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman. I'm angry to be put in this situation at all. That because I am a woman, I can work hard my whole life to better myself and help others and yet still fall victim as countless women over generations have. Mostly silently. I hate that some men, like @NYGovCuomo abuse their power."

What else?

This isn't the first time that Boylan has spoken out about what it was like to work for Cuomo.

Earlier in December, she blasted Cuomo's office as being a "toxic" work environment, and proclaimed that many people were "deathly afraid of him."

"Most toxic team environment? Working for [Cuomo]," Boylan said. "I've had many jobs. Waitressing at Friendly's as a teenager was an infinitely more respectful environment. Even when I had bad customers who tipped poorly. ... If people weren't deathly afraid of him, they'd be saying the same thing and you'd already know the stories."

She later added, "Seriously, the messages and texts I receive when I speak the truth about this ... it's a whole book of people who have been harmed. I tried to quit three times before it stuck. I've worked hard my whole life. Hustled — fake it till you make it style. That environment is beyond toxic. I'm still unwrapping it years later in therapy!"

The former aide concluded, "Don't be surprised that it's the same small group of white people sitting alongside him at every presser. The same group that he has had by him the whole time, doing his dirty work. If you're not one of those handful, your life working for him is endlessly dispiriting."
