Is THIS donor the reason for Colony Ridge, Texas' biggest and most nefarious illegal immigrant city?

If Glenn Beck doesn’t make it onto his own show, you know it’s for a good reason.

This time, it’s because Glenn is calling in from Colony Ridge, where he is investigating a massive illegal immigrant settlement that’s sprung up right outside of Houston, Texas.

He’s dubbed this Miami-sized settlement “the world’s most dangerous trailer park.”

It’s a cartel-run community of about 70,000 illegals in the middle of 30,000 acres.

Despite the land being in the middle of a flood zone, developers bought it all up and are selling plots to illegals.

“You’re talking about a change in elections just with this county. You’re talking about corruption and gangs, they’ve had body bags there, massive drugs going on,” Glenn explains.

The entire community only has 6-8 police officers, prosecutors have refused to prosecute any crimes, and on top of that, the developers are rigging the entire housing market.

One of the brothers running the community happens to be one of the Texas governor's biggest donors and has provided over a million dollars to his campaign, which Glenn is sure is a “complete coincidence.”

Glenn is there working on a documentary about the settlement that will be exclusive to the BlazeTV, which he says “a lot of people are not going to be happy is airing.”

“This is the most immoral, legal thing I’ve ever seen, and it’s going to happen all over the country,” Glenn says, disturbed.

By the end of the Biden administration, Glenn notes that there will be 10 million illegals in Houston. “10% of the population is illegal,” he says in disbelief.

But it’s situations like this that made Glenn want to start and grow TheBlaze.

“[TheBlaze] has built itself into such a workhorse now — and really pretty darn bulletproof,” he says, adding, “and finally we’re able to be the investigative arm.”

“We’re no longer going to wait for ABC, NBC, CBS, whatever; they’re useless. They’re going to have to start answering to us.”

Texas has sent over 50,000 illegal aliens to Democrat-run cities and shows no signs of letting up

Since President Joe Biden took office in 2021, Texas has faced an unprecedented influx of illegal aliens — what Gov. Greg Abbott has officially declared an "invasion."

As waves of migrants crashed upon the Lone Star State without cessation, Democrat-run states and cities kept up their pro-illegal migration rhetoric, more or less inviting foreign nationals to flout the laws of the land.

Ever since Texas began busing illegal aliens to these so-called sanctuaries in April 2022, that rhetoric has been put to the test and, in some cases, proven hollow.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott announced Friday that as part of Operation Lone Star, Texas has bused over 50,000 illegal aliens to so-called sanctuary cities.

According to the governor's office, the state has bused:

  • Over 12,500 migrants to Washington, D.C., since April 2022;
  • Over 18,500 migrants to New York City since August 2022;
  • Over 13,500 migrants to Chicago since August 2022;
  • Over 3,100 migrants to Philadelphia since November 2022;
  • Over 3,200 migrants to Denver since May 18; and
  • Over 940 migrants to Los Angeles since June 14.

According to Axios, it has taken Texas roughly 1,130 buses to get these migrants to their blue destinations.

Having been exposed to just a fraction of what Texas has withstood, various sanctuary cities have buckled.

TheBlaze reported Tuesday that the executive director for Denver's Office of Emergency Management recently sent a letter to various Texas officials asking that they provide illegal aliens with flyers stressing that the Democrat-run sanctuary city is no longer able to provide shelter and other resources to future waves of border-jumpers.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who has admitted that the influx of illegal aliens under Biden "will destroy New York City," tried something similar at the border this year. Since his flyer campaign accomplished little in the way of precluding multitudes of additional migrants joining the over 100,000 that have already poured into NYC in recent months, Adams headed to Latin America last week in hopes of dissuading additional migrants from making their way north.

D.C. is similarly having troubles living up to its sanctuary promise. Its Democratic mayor deemed the influx of migrants a crisis last year, declared a state of emergency, and called on the National Guard for assistance. The District has since spent tens of millions of dollars to address the arrival of migrants bused in by Texas, reported the Washington Examiner.

As for Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson's Chicago, migrants are piling into police stations, lobbies, and makeshift camps because all of the shelters intended for American citizens are full, reported the New York Times.

"We don't have any place for them to go," said Cristina Pacione-Zayas, deputy chief of staff for Johnson. "We are scrambling."

Andrew Vasquez, chairman of the city's Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights, said, "It's a logistical nightmare. ... You're going to see more people on the street figuring out a way to survive."

Housing and feeding the migrants in Chicago alone is expected to cost the city at least $345 million in under less than a year and a half.

According to the Times, the sanctuary city of Los Angeles is not having comparable difficulties, in part because it's too expensive for many illegal migrants to stay. Those who stick around can count on the already massive illegal alien population to provide a support network.

On Sept. 22, Abbott announced the deployment of additional buses to Eagle Pass and El Paso to help share their burden with Democrat-run cities.

"Texas communities like Eagle Pass and El Paso should not have to shoulder the unprecedented surge of illegal immigration caused by President Biden’s reckless open border policies. I have directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to deploy additional buses to send these migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities and provide much-needed relief to our overrun border towns," said the governor. "Until President Biden upholds his constitutional duty to secure America’s southern border, Texas will continue to deploy as many buses as needed to relieve the strain caused by the surge of illegal crossings."

Axios noted that Abbott's initiative has successfully prompted Democratic leaders to increase pressure on the Biden administration to act on the border.

In his Friday announcement, Abbott indicated Texas has also apprehended over 473,900 illegal aliens since the launch of Operation Lone Star, made over 34,800 criminal arrests, and issued over 31,800 felony charges.

TheBlaze previously reported that September 2023 appears to have set an all-time record for illegal border crossings.

Between October 2022 and August 2023, over 2.2 million migrants stole into the country, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The previous fiscal year, another 2.3 million entered.

Lt. Col. Allen West, candidate for Texas governor, hospitalized with COVID-19

Former Florida congressman and current Republican candidate for governor of Texas Lt. Col. Allen West was hospitalized with COVID-19 on Sunday, but he says he's "doing great" after receiving early treatment.

West and his wife, Angela West, were both diagnosed with the virus after attending a crowded fundraiser in Seabrook, Texas, last week. On Saturday, he announced that he is "suspending in-person events until receiving an all-clear indication" from his doctors.

Sharing an update on his condition, he said he and his wife were given monoclonal antibody treatments and that he was expected to be admitted to the hospital after chest X-rays showed he had COVID-related pneumonia.

2/ My chest X-rays do show COVID pneumonia, not serious. I am probably going to be admitted to the hospital.

— Allen West (@AllenWest) 1633813696.0

West was admitted to a hospital in Plano, a Dallas suburb, on Sunday. In a phone interview with the Associated Press, he reported that he has "no complaints. I'm just relaxing."

Angela West, who was vaccinated against COVID-19, has been released to go home. The former congressman, who is not vaccinated, said he was kept for observation because his oxygen saturation levels were a bit low.

In several social media posts, West criticized COVID-19 vaccines and strongly stated his opposition to vaccine mandates.

"I can attest that, after this experience, I am even more dedicated to fighting against vaccine mandates. Instead of enriching the pockets of Big Pharma and corrupt bureaucrats and politicians, we should be advocating the monoclonal antibody infusion therapy," West tweeted Sunday.

"Instead of jabbing Americans, and not illegal immigrants, with a dangerous shot which injects them with these spike proteins ... guess what? I now have natural immunity and double the antibodies, and that's science," he said.

"As Governor of Texas, I will vehemently crush anyone forcing vaccine mandates in the Lone Star State. There are far better protocols that individual citizens can utilize and decide for themselves."

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, having been approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration and administered to millions of people in the United States. Side effects are rare, and the CDC says that "the known risks of COVID-19 illness and its related, possibly severe complications, such as long-term health problems, hospitalization, and even death, far outweigh the potential risks of having a rare adverse reaction to vaccination, including the possible risk of myocarditis or pericarditis."

West, the former Texas Republican Party chairman, announced in July that he would challenge Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, who is running for a third term and has received former President Donald Trump's endorsement.

West announced his campaign for governor one month after resigning as chairman of the Texas GOP. He has made opposition to COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other coronavirus restrictions a central theme of his campaign and activism in Texas.

In October 2020, West participated in a protest outside Abbott's home, objecting to statewide mask mandate and lockdown orders issued by Abbott during the pandemic.

After the Wests' diagnosis, Abbott wished both of them a speedy recovery.

@GregAbbott_TX Thank you so very much, it is appreciated.

After Democrats stage a walkout over a new election security bill, Texas Gov. Abbott warns he’ll hit lawmakers where it hurts — their wallets

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott vowed Monday to target state lawmakers' pay in response to actions by Democratic legislators that effectively killed an elections security bill in the state.

What are the details?

The Republican-controlled assembly was set to pass the legislation, S.B. 7, on Sunday night, when Democratic lawmakers staged a walkout from the chamber, denying the quorum needed before the midnight cutoff for final approval.

In response, Gov. Abbott threatened to hit the lawmakers where it hurts — their bank accounts.

"I will veto Article 10 of the budget passed by the legislature," the governor warned in a tweet, noting that "Article 10 funds the legislative branch."

"No pay for those who abandon their responsibilities," he said. "Stay tuned."

— Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) 1622484820.0

According to the Texas Tribune, Abbott has until June 20 to carry out the veto, which would affect state funding of lawmakers and their staffs starting Sept. 1. Funding of the legislative branch through the end of August is covered under the current budget.

The outlet noted that "state lawmakers are paid $600 a month, equal to $7,200 per year. They also get a per diem of $221 for every day they are in session, including both regular and special sessions."

What else?

Following Abbott's threat, Democratic lawmakers lashed out, criticizing the potential move as authoritarian.

Democratic state Rep. Donna Howard tweeted, "This would eliminate the branch of government that represents the people and basically create a monarchy."

Abbott reportedly added on Monday that he would call a special session of the legislature to pass the bill, though he did not specify a date when that would occur.

Similarly, Texas Republican House Speaker Dade Phelan defiantly stated, "We will be back — when, I don't know, but we will be back. ... There's a lot of work to be done, but I look forward to doing it with every single one of you."

Anything else?

The bill — which aims to protect elections against fraud in part by tightening rules surrounding early voting and mail-in voting — has been carelessly criticized by Democrats, including President Joe Biden, as an attempt to restrict voting access for minorities and low-income individuals.

The president lambasted the bill as "un-American" in a statement to the Texas tribune.

"Today, Texas legislators put forth a bill that joins Georgia and Florida in advancing a state law that attacks the sacred right to vote, " he said. "It's part of an assault on democracy that we've seen far too often this year — and often disproportionately targeting Black and Brown Americans."
