Cowardly or spot on? Patrick Mahomes and Caitlin Clark address Trump and Kamala controversies

Although they shouldn’t, celebrity endorsements hold a lot of weight for many people. When Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris as we expected she would, certainly it solidified the future votes of a great number of her followers.

While Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has yet to formally endorse a candidate, we can assume his endorsement is coming soon, and it will almost certainly be another win for the Democratic Party.

Two other professional athletes who have hinted at their political leanings are Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Both athletes have been asked point blank who they will be supporting in the upcoming election, and according to Jason Whitlock, their answers were “appropriate, interesting reactions.”

- YouTubewww.youtube.com

“I've always said I don't want, I don't want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate. ... I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote, is to inform people to do their own research and then make their best decision for them and their family,” Mahomes said, adding that “every time I'm on this stage and I get asked these questions, I'm going refer back to that because I think that's what makes America so great.”

In reference to Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, liking some of Donald Trump’s tweets, another reporter then asked: “Do you have a thought about specifically about the idea of President Trump bringing up Brittany’s name? Does that affect you one way or another?”

Mahomes again refused to get explicitly political.

“At the end of the day, it's about about me and my family and how we treat other people. ... Brittany does a lot in the community; I do a lot in the community to help bring people up and give people other opportunities to use their voice, and so in the political times, people are going to use stuff here and there, but I can't let that affect how I go about my business every single day and live my life.”

Jason calls Mahomes’ response a “home run.”

He also respected Caitlin Clark’s response when USA Today’s Christine Brennan asked her about liking Taylor Swift’s Instagram post endorsing Kamala Harris.

“I have this amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing would be just encourage people to register to vote. I think for myself, this is the second time I can vote in an election at age 22. I could vote when I was 18, so I think do that. That’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have, and that's the same thing Taylor did, and I think continue to educate yourself with the candidates that we have, the policies that they're supporting. I think that's the biggest thing you can do, and that's what I would recommend to every single person that has that opportunity in our country,” was Clark’s response.

Steve Kim thinks Clark’s answer is going to upset a lot of people, however.

Certain people are “going to be very angry now at Caitlin for not giving a full-blown pledge to campaign and to vote for the Democratic Party,” he tells Jason.

Megyn Kelly absolutely OBLITERATES Taylor Swift: ‘The epitome of elite snobs’

Taylor Swift has stolen the hearts of millions of young women with her songs about always making the wrong choices — which is why it makes sense that she endorsed Kamala Harris for president in an Instagram post after the debate.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift wrote. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” she continued.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Swift then signed off her letter with a jab at Trump’s vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, writing, “With love and hope, Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.”

Her post has fooled millions, as expected — but Megyn Kelly was not among them.

“This pair, Taylor and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, are the epitomes of elite snobs. She doesn’t care what happens to these kids, just like he doesn’t give a s*** what happens to all the young men who take that Pfizer booster he’s been pushing,” Kelly said angrily.

“I’m sure he’s totally f***ing clueless about the myocarditis taking the lives of young men in this country who didn’t need the shot to begin with, never mind a booster,” she continued, before ending her rant on an extremely powerful note.

“Where’s he going to be when these boys wind up with heart scarring that causes heart attacks and potentially death? They will be sitting in their mansions in Rhode Island and California and New York and jetting across the world saying, ‘Let them eat cake,’ because they’ll be bathing themselves in their own sanctimony, too obsessed with their money and their concerts and their football games to have a thought for those hurt.”

Dave Rubin is thoroughly impressed with Kelly’s speech, commenting, “Yeah, that’s damn right.”

FACT CHECK: No, Taylor Swift Did Not Announce Her Retirement

There are no credible news reports about Swift's alleged retirement, nor are there any social media posts on the topic from Swift.

HOT TAKE: Travis Kelce’s appearance at Taylor Swift’s London concert emasculated him

Travis Kelce’s recent stage appearance at Taylor Swift’s London Eras tour concert has gone viral on the internet. By the looks of the footage, the concert attendees certainly seemed to revel in the tight end’s surprise cameo. And according to social media, Swifties across the globe applauded Kelce’s performance, interpreting his appearance as support for his girlfriend.

Jason Whitlock, however, has a different perspective that you can only see on BlazeTV.

Part of Kelce’s act involved helping Taylor change outfits on stage, but Jason saw it as “helping her disrobe.”

“You’re a Hall of Fame football player, you’ve made more than $100,000,000, you can have virtually your choice of women all across the planet, why do you choose Taylor Swift? And why do you pick the role of ‘Let me help my woman undress onstage in front of an audience’?” Jason asks, perplexed.

Guest T.J. Moe sees Kelce as “a cuck” and speculates that his act is a result of the NFL player being “obsessed with the fame” that comes with dating the most famous person on the planet.

“The guy is drunk on fame at this point,” he tells Jason, adding that last year, “everybody talked about Travis Kelce every single day … because of Taylor Swift. … Any man with any self-respect wouldn’t be caught dead on that stage with his woman.”

“He’s a man who’s surrendered to the matriarchy,” Jason agrees.

To watch the full conversation, including the probability of Swift’s success without “the patriarchy,” her motivation behind ditching country music, her alleged “Christian faith,” and why T.J. thinks she’s more “insidious” than even Sexyy Red, head over to BlazeTV.

'We've already put the insurance claim in': Jason Kelce explains how he lost his Super Bowl ring in a pool of chili

Super Bowl winner Jason Kelce lost his Super Bowl ring in a kiddie pool filled with a concoction of chili, spaghetti, and more during an obstacle course competition. He added that he's filed an insurance claim for the "hunk of metal."

Kelce, along with his brother and fellow Super Bowl champion, Travis, explained on their "New Heights" podcast how they hosted a game show during a live performance of the podcast in Cincinnati.

The brothers put on the "Lombaby Games," an obstacle course competition that put student athletes up against academic students for a series of events. One of the events involved contestants diving into pools of chili, Travis Kelce explained. Jason Kelce corrected his brother regarding the pools' contents.

"This is actually technically a three-way. It's not just Skyland chili. There's spaghetti in there, cheese. ... Folks, the video does not do justice to just how disgusting this was."

"Mixed into that chili there were socks with some make-believe rings, and then there was actually only one real ring in there, which was my Super Bowl ring, but there was another kind of like replica Super Bowl ring," Jason Kelce recalled. "There were two Super Bowl-esque rings that they had to try and find, one in each pool."

The now-retired Philadelphia Eagle explained that while the game was drawn up because he "continuously" loses his Super Bowl ring, his team was unable to find it after the game's conclusion.

"Searching through the chili to try and find the sock that had my Super Bowl ring in it ... we have still yet to find it. All of this stuff has been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati, tri-state area," he prophesied. "I didn't think that would happen."

His younger brother playfully mocked him in disappointment.

"What did you expect to happen?" Travis asked.

"I thought that we would just go in the pool and get the ring afterwards," Jason replied. "The only thing I can think of is, at some point, the sock got kicked out of the three-way, and it made its way out of the pool and that it was thrown away in some shape or form. The Super Bowl ring is officially gone. We've already put the insurance claim in, which I think the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they'll cover that."

"100% they're going to, especially if you're going to tell the entire world how you lost it," Travis, baffled, retorted.

The two then argued whether or not it was a reasonable excuse to have lost the ring in the vat of chili, with Jason saying that it "doesn't matter" where he puts his ring as long as he "knows where it's at."

In the end, Jason Kelce said he thinks he should be able to have another ring made — which he described as "just a hunk of metal" — while learning at the same time that a metal detector doesn't work with the Skyline brand of chili because it has "traces of iron within the chili itself."

"Kids, if you're watching at home, do not do what Jason's doing. Don't do this," Travis warned.
