Will new 'Agatha All Along' series reverse Marvel’s downward trend?

Marvel’s surrender to wokeness has all but ruined the franchise. Longtime comic book fans have fled for hills when their favorite MCU characters have been gender-bent, race-bent, or altered to be more socially acceptable.

However, Disney+ will soon debut a new series called “Agatha All Along,” which follows Agatha Harkness, the villain from Marvel Studios’ "WandaVision.”

Could “Agatha” reverse Marvel’s downward spiral?

Lauren Chen, Blaze Media’s cinema critic, discusses the upcoming series.

Disney's NEXT FLOP: 'Agatha' Trailer Breakdownwww.youtube.com

Although the series won’t drop until September, the trailer alone has Lauren fearing that the show will be yet another money pit.

First, she doesn’t think the series will generate enough interest.

“It's not like this was a particularly popular character in the comics and even in ‘WandaVision,’ the show that introduced her,” she says.

Further, according to rumors Lauren is privy to, “the reason they're giving Agatha her own series is not just because she's potentially another girlboss character they can exploit, but also because they are hoping to resurrect Scarlet Witch in the MCU.”

Even the show's producers seem wary about the series, given that it was announced in 2021 but is premiering three years later.

“It definitely seems like the prolonged production period was due, at least in part, to uncertainty on behalf of the show's creators,” says Lauren, adding that the series “has had four different names at different points in time” – names that “had already been announced to the public,” further solidifying the theory that there’s an air of doubt surrounding the show.

MCU fans are also skeptical about the series appearing to be “more horror-centric” than other MCU shows, but Lauren would enjoy a darker series “if Disney could pull it off.”

As for the series’ wokeness meter, rumors have suggested that “they may make Agatha herself gay or at the very least bisexual,” says Lauren, referencing a Bounding into Comics article.

“I think we should expect this show to be completely lockstep in line with the M-She-U as of late,” she predicts. “I personally cannot wait to see how much of a flop [‘Agatha All Along’] ends up being.”

For all its faults, Lauren does see a couple of bright spots for the show.

“It doesn’t look cheap,” she says.

And Aubrey Plaza stars in it, but Lauren doubts that “she's going to be enough to save this series.”

‘Dr Who’ has WORST RATINGS in 60-year history after taking a ‘decisively queer step’

“Dr. Who” has been a fan favorite for the 60 years it’s been on air, but with its recent record low ratings on Disney Plus — that’s all changing.

“Not only is the show absolutely not doing well, but it is failing spectacularly. Like it is doing so poorly,” Lauren Chen of “Pseudo-Intellectual” comments, noting that the “show has been on the decline for a while now.”

Since the first episode of the season, fewer and fewer people are tuning in for more.

The issues began with the portrayal of Dr. Who — who is now a crossdressing black man — and went downhill from there.

“They were so focused on trying to pander to black people and queer people and get them interested in the show, they forgot about welcoming, like, just actual Dr. Who fans to watch the show,” Chen says.

“In fact, sometimes, they did the exact opposite. They told those fans to not watch the show if they weren’t happy with being force-fed progressive propaganda, and I’m not even kidding,” she adds.

The main actor has told people to not watch the show, addressing his critics in an April 2024 interview with Variety’s Ellise Shafer by saying, “Don’t watch. Turn off the TV. Go and touch grass, please, for God’s sake.”

This same sentiment was shared by a drag queen who plays a villain in the show.

“I know a lot of people might not even watch this season of 'Dr. Who' because it’s taking such a decisively queer step. However, if they watch, I think they’ll see that we’re just actors playing characters. And if they don’t watch it, then who needs ‘em? I truly believe that for every fan we lose to transphobia, we’re going to have two to three more coming in because they’re excited for trans representation,” Jinkx Monsoon said.

“How is that prediction working out for you?” Chen laughs.

‘The Office’ new spin-off series has been greenlit, but will it flop?

In a development that could be either devastating or thrilling for fans of “The Office,” the famous show has been greenlit for a spin-off series.

The Peacock series will be a fresh mockumentary featuring a brand-new cast within the same universe as Dunder Mifflin — where all the fan favorite characters worked. However, the show will not be set in Scranton, Pennsylvania, but instead at a failing Midwestern paper company.

“Because this new series will technically be a spin-off instead of a straight reboot, we are at least avoiding the possibility that we get black trans Michael Scott or, I don’t know, nonbinary Mexican Jim Halpert,” Lauren Chen says, who is admittedly a huge fan of the original series.

But Chen is skeptical.

“NBC has been so very blatant in marketing it specifically as a spin-off to ‘The Office,’” Chen says. "They had the opportunity, there was the possibility, of just marketing this new as of yet untitled show as a new sitcom from the creator of ‘The Office.’”

“However, the fact that they are really making it clear that no, this is a spin-off of ‘The Office’ and it’s the same universe, it kind of seems like they’re cheaply trying to attach ‘The Office’ and all the goodwill and fandom that show now has to this new thing.”

“It feels very cheap,” she adds.

While fans of “The Office” have hoped that old cast members will return to the new show, Chen says the “lead stars of the original series are absolutely not interested in it.”

Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott in the original series, shot the idea down right away in an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show.

“I doubt it,” Scott said when Colbert asked if he’d appear in the show.

“He’s not interested; he’s not in it,” Chen says.

“Keep in mind, this is someone who didn’t even want to finish the rest of the original series. He peaced out.”

John Krasinski, who played the beloved Jim Halpert in the original series, has also said he won’t be in the spin-off series either.

“I’m just not confident that it’s going to be done well. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong,” Chen says.

Is 'Mr. Birchum' right-wing cringe?

While many of us complain about the depravity and wokeness that’s infiltrated our favorite Hollywood shows and movies — others are taking matters into their own hands.

And the new show "Mr. Birchum," which is created by the Daily Wire and stars comedian Adam Carolla, is doing just that.

While Lauren Chen has her criticisms of the show itself, she’s glad the show exists for that reason.

“I think it is a good thing that more conservatives and right-wingers like the people over at the Daily Wire are getting involved in the creation of entertainment media,” Chen says, adding, “You know, instead of just complaining about what Hollywood does all the time.”

While Chen believes this should encourage more right-wingers and conservative studios to create their own shows, she isn’t a huge fan of this particular show.

“I also don’t want to, I mean, frankly, say that something is good just because it agrees with my political narrative when in reality, I don’t find it entertaining,” Chen explains.

“This is the type of show that proves that if you’re a conservative or a right-winger who often complains about modern films and series being too political, but you happen to like ‘Mr. Birchum,’ I mean, it kind of seems like the problem isn’t actually that entertainment media is too political, it’s just that the message that is being pushed is one that you happen to disagree with,” she adds.

This is why if you genuinely dislike politics being infused into entertainment, no matter what yours are, the show may not be for you.

“Personally, I’m just of the approach where I don’t necessarily think it’s a good thing if conservative networks put out entertainment media that is really only meant for conservatives,” Chen explains, adding, “If conservative networks actually want to begin seriously competing with Hollywood, releasing shows that right off the bat are going to alienate at least 50% of the population, I mean, I just don’t think that’s a good business move.”

Disney’s 'Dr. Who' goes LGBTQ with cast of gender bending characters

It only took around four minutes for the first transgender character to show up in Disney’s new "Dr. Who" series — and viewers are overwhelmingly not pleased.

“Not only were we very quickly presented as viewers with a trans singer, but for some reason, the show’s writers also thought it would be appropriate and fun to portray this iteration of the Doctor as someone who, you know, likes to get down at gay dance clubs,” Lauren Chen comments.

The Doctor is also wearing a skirt in the opening scene.

“Him and the costume director have been very clear that he actually wanted to gender-bend the Doctor’s wardrobe in this series for some reason,” Chen says.

While the gayification of the series is undeniably a massive reason for the negative feedback, the show itself isn’t written well enough to make up for it.

“This shows attempt at providing fantastical yet sciency-seeming premises for these outrageous events to occur,” Chen explains is “failing awfully.”

The show predictably has a whopping 97% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes — but only a 36% audience rating.

“Because of course, it’s new, it’s gay, it’s black. That must make it wonderful,” Chen says, noting that one of the show's main villains is also a drag queen who used to be on "RuPaul’s Drag Race."

“I get that Russell T. Davies wants to be inclusive and affirming of LGBT people, but really I think it’s gotten to the point now where 'Dr. Who' just exists as a platform for him to expose the audience to diverse elements,” she adds.

'Reacher’ star gets DESTROYED after attacking police!

If you’re a fan of the hit Amazon Prime series “Reacher,” you’re in for a bit of a disappointment.

Alan Ritchson, who plays Jack Reacher, has been using social media to attack every conservative group he can get his hands on, including Christian groups — despite claiming to be a Christian himself.

Lauren Chen, who is a fan of the show, isn’t pleased.

“Ritchson’s behavior on social media kind of gives me pause,” Chen says. “People are allowed to have whatever political opinions they want, that doesn’t mean that I’m gonna’ boycott their shows or their products, because I’m just not that type of person.”

“The thing with Ritchson, though, is that he takes his political and social beliefs a step further and he doesn’t seem happy to just state what he believes in. He is very vocal about who and what he is actively against,” she continues.

In a recent interview, Ritchson brought his commentary to new heights while discussing his Christian faith. He explained that it’s hard to discuss Christian faith in Hollywood without being labeled as “one of those hateful Christians” or a “bigot.”

“Christians today have become the most vitriolic tribe,” Ritchson continued, adding, “Trump is a rapist and a con man and yet, the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he’s their poster child and it’s unreal.”

But that’s not all.

When Elon Musk took over Twitter, now known as X, Ritchson disapproved of Elon as a “free speech absolutist” so much that he not only deleted his account but posted a long video to social media encouraging others to do the same. He used an analogy that made no sense to make his point, which leaves Chen with one suggestion for the actor.

“I believe in free speech, but, like, I also believe you should probably act in your own interest and not let everybody know you’re a complete idiot,” she offers.

Former Nickelodeon star exposes the evil of the network in docu-series

By now, it’s common knowledge that Hollywood is rotten to its core with all forms of debauchery and degeneracy.

However, it’s likely even worse than you realize.

“If you're not familiar with ‘Quiet On Set,’ it's a docu-series that a lot of people are talking about right now,” says Lauren Chen.

The series covers the toxicity of popular children’s shows from the late '90s and early 2000s — specifically, those headed by Nickelodeon's Dan Schneider, who launched the careers of stars such as Drake Bell, Jamie Lynn Spears, Miranda Cosgrove, and Ariana Grande, among others.

The show covers “the unfair harassment and treatment of adult staffers” and the “sexual dog whistles sprinkled into these shows that ... were intended for children and were also acted out by child actors,” says Lauren.

However, she said, “The most egregious allegations that the documentary presents surround the idea that at least some of the child stars that Nickelodeon was promoting and featuring on their shows were actually abused and groomed by the producers and the writers, who were supposed to be helping them and guiding them through their career.”

One of those unfortunate actors was Amanda Bynes, “who has gone on to lead a very troubled and very turbulent adult life.”

While Bynes is not featured in the docu-series, there are nonetheless several disturbing incidents brought up, including “a newly resurfaced clip of Dan Schneider in a hot tub with a young tween Amanda.”

“But if the coverage of Amanda Bynes’ career is sad, what happened to Drake Bell is absolutely heartbreaking,” says Lauren.

Bell played a lead role on one of the network’s most popular shows, “Drake and Josh.”

The actor, who is interviewed in the series, reveals that he was “sexually assaulted and groomed by one of the people working at Nickelodeon” when he was 15 years old.

“Brian Peck, who Drake Bell talks about assaulting him, was actually convicted, so these aren't just allegations,” says Lauren. “This is a sentence that was handed to someone.”

However, Peck was only sentenced to “16 months in prison,” and what’s worse is that several Hollywood actors came out in support of him during the trial period.

Making matters worse, several of Peck’s supporters continued to work on the set of “Drake and Josh” even after Peck was sent to jail.

“I thought I got rid of the cancer,” said Bell. “I had no idea that for four years I was working alongside people who had supported him.”

“Just heinous stuff,” sighs Lauren, adding that Bell, like Amanda Bynes, has “gone on to do some terrible things himself,” including “continuing the cycle of abuse” that eventually led to “two years probation on child endangerment charges.”

Whoopi Goldberg’s latest Trump tirade is, well, embarrassing

“The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg should’ve stuck to acting and left the political commentary to those with common sense.

“Play a scene from ‘Sister Act,’” Jaco Booyens tells Sara Gonzales. “That was her best moment, and then it went downhill from there.”

But Sara thinks Goldberg’s latest Trump tirade is worth watching (even if only for giggles).

On a recent episode of “The View,” which Jaco says was “written by the Democratic Party,” Goldberg went on an embarrassing tirade about all the horrible things Donald Trump — “the dictator” — would inevitably do should he win the 2024 election.

“People's faith in the country is waning; that's the thing that's pissing me off,” she began, ignorantly adding that Joe Biden is “running for democracy,” which is “really what's at stake.”

However, “if the other guy becomes president,” she continued in reference to Donald Trump, people will have to worry about being put in “some camp somewhere.”

“That's his promise to us — he's going to force people to do his bidding. That’s what he said; ‘I’m gonna be good on day one, and then I’m gonna turn into some other person.”’

Of course, her words are ludicrous, as Trump has never uttered such a ridiculous statement.

But Goldberg wasn’t finished. She also had some things to say about our immigration problem.

Illegal immigrants are “coming here for a reason because they're living in a place that's not good for their families. If you're okay with that and you understand that, then fight for us to find a better way to make immigration work ... Don't fight for keeping everybody out because then we all have to leave,” she ranted.

To clarify, Biden is pro-democracy, Trump is going to put people he doesn’t like in camps, and if we don’t support open borders, then we’re all going to be forced to leave America.

“She’s talking about rounding people up in camps,” laughs Sara. “Your guy is the guy who's weaponized the entire FBI and DOJ against half of the country. You've got the FBI ... putting families at gunpoint because a pro-life ...You're throwing people in prison for decades because they waved an American flag in the capital and walked out and left non-violently.”
