Police detain angry leftists protesting Riley Gaines' Real Women's Day event at Penn State

Police detained two enraged leftists who protested former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines' Real Women's Day event at Pennsylvania State University on Tuesday, the College Fix reported.

Gaines has been an outspoken opponent of men competing in women's sports and has spearheaded efforts to protect female athletes. Her speech at Penn State was slated for October 10, which can be spelled out in Roman numbers as XX. The date was designated Real Women's Day since females have two X chromosomes.

A group of left-leaning protesters gathered to demonstrate against Gaines' appearance and advocate for individuals who claim to identify as trans. During Gaines' speech, activists chanted "trans lives matter" and held up various signs featuring the blue and pink trans flag.

"We are inclusive of all genders," one protester's sign read, according to a video captured by the College Fix. "We are better than your hate speech," another stated.

One video shared by the College Fix showed an angry male protester knocking items off a Young America's Foundation table and screaming expletives at those passing by. Moments later, a female activist approached and flipped over the table, according to the video shared by the outlet on X, formerly Twitter.

"Get this s*** out," the female protester yelled. In another video, the same female yelled at a man holding a camera to "get the f*** off the campus."

The hostile male protester approached a man walking around campus near the event and shouted, "You're a f***ing loser!"

The man replied, "You want to lose $150 million for the campus for all your friends? I'm state Senator Cris Dush."

Pennsylvania state Senator Dush (R) told the College Fix, "We are going to have free speech on this campus. This is my district."

Police arrived on the scene shortly after the two protesters vandalized the table and detained the activists for "disorderly conduct." The protesters were handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser.

Earlier this week, Gaines posted on X that the school had abruptly canceled her speaking event at Penn State. In her statement, she included a video of the university's president, Neeli Bendapudi, explaining why "controversial" speakers must be allowed to speak on campus.

"No way President of Penn State makes a whole video explaining why public institutions are legally obligated to let 'bigots' apparently like me on campus to speak then proceeds to CANCEL my speech tomorrow for real women's day (X/X)," Gaines wrote.

In the video, Bendapudi stated that Penn State is "bound by the First Amendment."

"Restricting the speech of one group or individual jeopardizes everyone's rights because the same laws or regulations used to silence bigots can be used to silence you," she said.

Penn State denied Gaines' claims that the university had canceled the event, stating that a student group had failed to submit required reservation documents in time. Despite the initial uncertainty that the event would go on, Gaines was ultimately able to speak at Penn State on Tuesday to the school's Turning Point USA and YAF chapters.

Crazed leftist agitators try (and fail) to stop Houston screening of Matt Walsh's 'What Is a Woman?'

Despite having their event listing removed from Eventbrite earlier this week, the Young Conservatives of Texas at the University of Houston remained determined to host Matt Walsh on Thursday night and screen his "What Is a Woman?" documentary. The film examines the incoherence and perniciousness of leftist gender ideology. Although the conservative student group ultimately prevailed, they first had to deal with the mob of agitators that swarmed the venue, keen on achieving what Eventbrite was unable to do: shutting down the event.

Ahead of the screening, liberals on campus reportedly tore down posters advertising the event, while Antifa and other radical leftist groups disseminated flyers inciting others to mobilize "in protest against virulent transphobe Matt Walsh on Campus."

Echoing accusations made elsewhere, groups like the Space City Anarchist Organization called Walsh, a father of four, a "bigot" and suggested his film is "transphobic."

Accusations of "transphobia" were repeated on Thursday by the transsexuality activists, leftists, and students gathered outside the venue. "Transphobia has go to go" and "trans rights are human rights" figured prominently in their chants, along with accusations of fascism, leveled at those trying to peacefully enter the building.

In June, Rolling Stone magazine similarly contended that "What Is a Woman?" is "transphobic," calling it an "attempt to belittle an already targeted group of people."

According to the Daily Wire, the film's distributor, the chief concerns raised in Walsh's documentary are reportedly:

 • the destruction of women's sports by men claiming to be women;
 • the exploitation of transsexuality claims by sexual offenders to prey upon women;
 • the left's use of censorship to advance a radical agenda, free from critique or analysis;
 • the denigration of women with neologisms like "birthing persons";
 • the left's attack on science with claims such as "having a penis doesn't make one male"; and
 • the mutilation and sterilization of children by bad actors.

Walsh previously indicated that the left "will do whatever they can to make sure no one sees this movie. ... They know their ideology is based on lies and their logic is hollow and premiering the movie to a massive online audience will not only be an utter embarrassment to them but will send a message that they will not win this battle."

In the context of Walsh's broader "battle," Thursday night's screening may have been only a skirmish, but both sides came out in full force.

The line of attendees waiting to watch the documentary was long, stretching down the block.

While attendees waited in line, members of the Houston Police Department took necessary precautions, anticipating leftist violence of the kind seen at past campus events.

Police removed loose bricks around the venue.

One masked agitator was apprehended inside the venue by police.

Mikel Moore, chapter chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas, told KRIV that his group thought it important "to continue to bring conservative content, conservative messaging, to the University of Houston."

"This is an opportunity for students and members of the community to get a chance to see the movie, to understand it," said Moore. "We believe this event, too, will ignite conversations around gender, around how we look at the issue, and can lead to some good dialogue."

Masked agitators outside the venue sought to stifle that debate, going so far as trying to prevent attendees from entering the venue.

Despite the efforts of the mob, the venue was packed in time for the event. An estimated 400 people were in attendance.

Outside, protesters and counter-protesters exchanged verbal volleys.

Amid chants advocating transsexuality and condemning the event, some counter-protesters took to prayer. A handful of leftists appeared to shield themselves with umbrellas.

Pediatrician tells Matt Walsh 'your sperm don't make you male,' 'wonderful' puberty blockers are 'completely reversible' in 'What Is a Woman?' documentary

In Matt Walsh's just-released documentary "What Is a Woman?" the Daily Wire commentator interviewed a pediatrician who made a number of eye-opening claims, including that sperm production doesn't make a person "male" and that puberty blockers are "completely reversible."

What are the details?

In one clip from the documentary, Walsh asked Dr. Michelle Forcier at what age transitions take place using medication — and she replied that "medical affirmation begins when the patient says they're ready for it. So, that could be a kiddo who is just starting puberty and panicking 'cause they're getting breast buds, or their penis is getting bigger and busier, and they're worried about all kinds of masculine changes."

Forcier added that puberty blockers are "wonderful" because they're "completely reversible" and "don't have permanent effects."

In fact, it's not unlike listening to Taylor Swift's latest pop masterpiece.

"We can put that pause on puberty, just like if you're listening to music," she continued. "You put the pause on, and we stop the blockers, and puberty would go right back to where it was — the next note in the song — just delayed that period of time."

Hold on a sec ...

The clip shifts to Walsh's interviews with two individuals the Daily Mail identified as Scott Newgent, a transgender man, and Dr. Miriam Grossman, an adult and adolescent psychiatrist. They both took issue with puberty blockers.

When Walsh repeated Forcier's claim that puberty can be safely paused and picked back up again in the future, Newgent declared it isn't true: "How many studies do they have, long-term studies, on hormone blockers for children? None!"

Grossman told Walsh she "spoke a month ago with a mother whose 14-year-old daughter was put on blockers. They discovered after two years, this 14-year-old girl has osteoporosis. That's something that, like, old women get."

She added, "How can they be removing the healthy breasts of 15-year-old girls? How can they be sterilizing kids? How can this whole thing be happening, Matt?"

'Your sperm don't make you male'

In another clip featuring more of Walsh's interview with Forcier, she declared to him that "your sperm don't make you male."

"The what does?" the Daily Wire commentator replied.

That's when things got even weirder.

"It's a constellation," Forcier answered.

"In reality, in truth —" Walsh responded, attempting to bring things back to Earth.

"Whose truth are we talking about?" the good doctor asked.

"The same truth that says we're sitting in this room right now, you and I," Walsh answered.

That elicited a broad, all-knowing smile on Forcier's face, as if she were speaking to one of her prepubescent patients who hasn't been around long enough to acquire her smarts: "No, you're not listening."

Walsh tried another approach.

"If I see a chicken laying eggs, and I say, 'That's a female chicken laying eggs,' did I assign 'female'? Or am I just observing a physical reality that's happening in the world?" he asked Forcier.

She answered Walsh's question with another one: "Does a chicken have gender identity? Does a chicken cry? Does a chicken commit suicide?"

He continued to try reason and logic: "A chicken has sex like any biological organism."

"A chicken has an assigned gender, but a chicken doesn't have a gender identity," Forcier declared.

"So we assign 'female' to chickens when they lay eggs?" Walsh asked.

"We assume they're female if they lay eggs," Forcier answered.

Here's the clip. Have fun!

“This is why they don’t want you to see #WhatIsAWoman. It’s because of moments like this. Gender ideology is an insane, incoherent mess.”

Joy Reid says she's 'sick of right-wing men' asking her 'stupid, basic biology questions' such as 'What is a woman?' and 'Are babies valuable?'

MSNBC host Joy Reid took aim at what she called "right wing, Christian* nationalist, abortion-obsessed trolls" in a video posted to TikTok late last week.

What are the details?

“I am so sick of right-wing men coming into my mentions and asking me stupid, basic biology questions like, ‘What is a woman?’ and ‘Are babies valuable?'” Reid said in the beginning of the clip, her exaggerated smile failing to veil her annoyance.

She added, "I have given birth to not one, not two, but three full humans. And raised them with the help of my husband. I am mother, but I'm not your mother. If you need answers to basic biological questions, you need to Google it or ask your momma. Again, I'm a mother, but I'm not your mother. Stay out of my mentions. Be blessed."

Here's the clip:

@msnbcjoy A message to my right wing, Christian* nationalist, abortion-obsessed trolls. #beblessed #abortion #whatisawoman #endtrolling #stoponlineharrasment ♬ original sound - Joy-Ann Reid

What's the background?

It isn't clear from Reid's video exactly what sparked her pseudo warning to "right-wing, Christian* nationalist, abortion-obsessed trolls," but she's been in the news lately in regard to the hearings prior to last week's Supreme Court confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson — who infamously said she couldn't define the word "woman" because she's "not a biologist." Jackson is slated to be the first black woman on the high court after Justice Stephen Breyer's retirement takes effect this summer.

Reid also called Republican U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas "thuggish" and a "cretin" after he questioned Jackson's writings and rulings as a federal judge late last month.

In addition, Reid accused Republican U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of being a pawn of fellow Republican South Carolina U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, tweeting last week that Scott will "go along with Lindsey's barking-dog racism against Judge Jackson."

Appearing on "Fox and Friends," Scott shot back at Reid: "What is so offensive about what Joy is saying is that a black man cannot think for himself, that I have to follow somebody else. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard."

Scott added that such a pervasive left-wing viewpoint "is vile, it is offensive, and we should stop allowing the liberal media to push these stories by their hosts that want one thing and one thing only: Progressive, liberal policies that make it harder for African-Americans — not easier."
