Fantastic Four’s Silver Surfer gets gender bent in latest Marvel scandal

Lauren Chen is convinced that Marvel and Disney, who owns the franchise, “hate money.”

“They definitely hate the fans, and so they're just going full steam ahead, looking to destroy the franchise the company originally spent billions of dollars to acquire,” she says.

Once again, the Disney subsidiary is shoving gender politics down the throats of its already waning consumer base.

“They are, in fact, gender-bending the Silver Surfer” in the upcoming “Fantastic Four” film, sighs Lauren.

According to Deadline, “Emmy winner Julia Garner is set to play the iconic comic book character,” who was originally written as a male.

To make matters worse, when Lauren interviewed Nate from Mr H Reviews, she learned that “the reason why Disney presumably bought things like Marvel and Lucasfilm was to expand their male audience base because historically women have always loved Disney.”

“Disney was looking to corner the male market, and so to do that, they bought two predominantly male companies,” Lauren explains, adding that these acquisitions should have made the company “richer than ever.”

However, quite the opposite happened when “they tried to feminize” the franchises.

The writers of the new “Fantastic Four” also missed an opportunity to draw in fans when they decided to cast Pedro Pascal in the role of Mister Fantastic instead of beloved actor John Krasinski, who starred in the role in the previous film.

“Marvel could have had a slam dunk; they could have had a John Krasinski-led Fantastic Four,” says Lauren. “Everybody would have eaten that up.”

“But Disney was like, ‘No, no we don't want that. We don't want your money. Instead, we want you to look at unattractive, gender-bent Silver Surfer,”’ mocks Lauren.

For these reasons specifically, the audience reaction to the new film has been “lukewarm to negative at best.”

Whoopi Goldberg’s latest Trump tirade is, well, embarrassing

“The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg should’ve stuck to acting and left the political commentary to those with common sense.

“Play a scene from ‘Sister Act,’” Jaco Booyens tells Sara Gonzales. “That was her best moment, and then it went downhill from there.”

But Sara thinks Goldberg’s latest Trump tirade is worth watching (even if only for giggles).

On a recent episode of “The View,” which Jaco says was “written by the Democratic Party,” Goldberg went on an embarrassing tirade about all the horrible things Donald Trump — “the dictator” — would inevitably do should he win the 2024 election.

“People's faith in the country is waning; that's the thing that's pissing me off,” she began, ignorantly adding that Joe Biden is “running for democracy,” which is “really what's at stake.”

However, “if the other guy becomes president,” she continued in reference to Donald Trump, people will have to worry about being put in “some camp somewhere.”

“That's his promise to us — he's going to force people to do his bidding. That’s what he said; ‘I’m gonna be good on day one, and then I’m gonna turn into some other person.”’

Of course, her words are ludicrous, as Trump has never uttered such a ridiculous statement.

But Goldberg wasn’t finished. She also had some things to say about our immigration problem.

Illegal immigrants are “coming here for a reason because they're living in a place that's not good for their families. If you're okay with that and you understand that, then fight for us to find a better way to make immigration work ... Don't fight for keeping everybody out because then we all have to leave,” she ranted.

To clarify, Biden is pro-democracy, Trump is going to put people he doesn’t like in camps, and if we don’t support open borders, then we’re all going to be forced to leave America.

“She’s talking about rounding people up in camps,” laughs Sara. “Your guy is the guy who's weaponized the entire FBI and DOJ against half of the country. You've got the FBI ... putting families at gunpoint because a pro-life ...You're throwing people in prison for decades because they waved an American flag in the capital and walked out and left non-violently.”

What’s ACTUALLY killing Disney? Film producer weighs in

For many, many years, Disney was America’s favorite family entertainment conglomerate. But the tides seem to be turning. More and more people across the country are abandoning Disney, leaving the company in a massive revenue deficit.

What exactly is causing Disney to decline? Is it progressive films (aka box office flops), the threat of AI, or a combination of the two?

American actor and film producer Matthew Marsden joins James Poulos on "Zero Hour" to discuss what’s going on.

Disney has “absolutely destroyed what made that brand brilliant,” says Marsden. “You’re seeing it now with the woke ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.”’

For those who don’t know, this progressive "Snow White" remake will feature no prince and no dwarves because apparently those two things are offensive, and a Latina actress will star in the role of Snow White because whiteness, as we’ve been told, needs to be done away with.

“If you have an established IP … even though it's made millions of dollars [and] it's been hugely successful, some screenwriter comes along and he goes, ‘Do you know what, I can improve that,’ and they change it,” says Marsden.

Which is exactly what they’re doing with "Snow White." Despite the fact that the original is a beloved classic, the screenwriters and producers are turning the script upside down to create what will inevitably become yet another woke disaster.

“Just make the movie of the book,” pleads Marsden. “It's sold X amount of a million copies; people want to see it up on screen … it's really simple.”

“When you see that happen, they're always successful for the most part,” he continues.

“Tech is part of the problem here too,” adds James, because many screenwriters wrongly assume that putting “CGI in every scene” means “people will get it and they'll watch it because it's got technology in it … and that doesn’t work.”

“So if that doesn’t work, and woke-ifying things doesn’t work, then you’ve got stagnation,” he continues.

Based on Disney’s profit margins, it certainly seems like the company is in a state of stagnation.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the wokest of them all? Disney’s 'Snow White' remake is as PROGRESSIVE as it gets

The movie is called "Snow White" for a reason. The protagonist is a princess who supposedly has the fairest skin in all the land – so fair that it can only be compared to pure, white snow.

But that won’t do for woke Hollywood, will it?

“They’ve decided to put a Hispanic woman in the Snow White role,” Stu Burguiere scoffs.

But it doesn’t stop there.

They’ve also determined to remove all but one of the seven dwarfs.

Apparently, Peter Dinklage, a little person who’s wildly famous for his role in several cinematic masterpieces, most notably “Elf” and “Game of Thrones," has come forth and stated that he finds the dwarf characters insulting and antiquated.

“Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough,” he told Marc Maron on an episode of the “WTF” podcast.

But he clearly is loud enough because Disney listened and effectively “[shut] the door for all the other dwarfs out there,” Stu says.

However, it looks like Dinklage is not a favored spokesperson and doesn’t necessarily represent the general consensus of the little people community.

Dylan Postl, a little person and established actor, spoke out against Disney’s decision:

“It’s not a progression at all to me,” he said.

“There are actors — dwarf actors — that live, that dream to be in a major motion picture such as this Disney remake, and now, because Peter Dinklage said what he said last year, now it’s taken away,” he continues.

“I can’t go out for the Harrison Ford or the George Clooney roles because that’s not for me. These dwarf roles are for people of my stature,” he tells Stu.

“It really makes no sense at all, but this is the left-wing mindset,” Stu says.
