'Jew-hatred' in the media: Levin eviscerates WaPo for downplaying anti-Semitic records of Omar, Tlaib

Friday night on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin tore into the Washington Post for a story that defended a group of far-Left freshmen congresswomen by downplaying their histories of anti-Semitism.

The Washington Post's Tim Elfrink criticized Levin's appearance on Fox News' "Hannity" the night before. Levin took issue with Elfrink's characterization of Levin's remarks, in which the writer accused him of "employing a talking point often used by the president" by pointing out the group's problems with Israel, while minimizing actual anti-Semitic comments made by Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.

Later in the piece, Elfrink also made a big deal about the fact that a clip of the appearance was shared on the White House's official Twitter account later that night.

After systematically picking apart Elfrink's WaPo story over the course of his program's first hour, Levin pulled up a May 2019 post from the Daily Caller criticizing the Post's coverage of the controversy surrounding Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., during which the paper ran several pieces in Tlaib's defense "but declined to do a straight news story on her remarks," in which she said that she gets a "calming feeling" when she thinks about the aftermath of the Holocaust.

"We not only have a problem in the modern Democrat Party with this rising tide of Jew-hatred, anti-Semitism, and American hatred — and notice they all go hand-in-hand," Levin said, "But it's in the media in a significant way."

"It's at the Washington Post, it's at the New York Times," Levin continued, urging listeners to read the chapter of his book "Unfreedom of the Press" discussing the issue, "and it's also at CNN."
