Kim Kardashian, celebrity, more effective than U.S. Congress

The saga of Kim Kardashian’s meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House concluded last Thursday with the announcement that drug offender Alice Johnson, serving a life sentence, was pardoned, per Kardashian’s request.

In a Friday interview with CNN, Kardashian was asked if she felt she gave the president “legitimacy” or was used as a “political pawn” by working with him.

“At the end of the day, he heard me out. We got the job done. What could he really use me for?” Kardashian told CNN.

While gubernatorial and congressional candidates are running specifically anti-Trump campaigns in the midterm election cycle, Kardashian found a way to work with Trump, something not even Congress is willing to do.
