‘Know your place, woman’ is back in fashion in progressivism

Let’s all take a stroll down #BelieveAllWomen Drive, shall we?

Lara Logan, the former CBS correspondent who was brutally assaulted in 2011 while on assignment in Cairo covering the fall of Hosni Mubarak, said in no uncertain terms on a recent podcast that journalism is magical and not at all broken:

“Although the media has always been left-leaning, we’ve abandoned our pretense or at least the effort to be objective today. We’ve become political activists, and some could argue propagandists, and there’s some merit to that.”

She went on:

“Responsibility for fake news begins with us. We bear some responsibility for that, and we’re not taking ownership of that and addressing it. We just want to blame it all on somebody else.”

This obviously comes on the heels of not only the Kavanaugh, BuzzFeed, Covington, and Smollett journalism disasters, but at a psychologically perilous moment in time when Logan could lose her status as a respectable career woman for admitting such things.

Yet if ever there was a woman who has laid it all on the line and deserves a chance to be heard on the subject of her industry’s decline, it is Logan. So I’m sure Stephen Colbert will have her on his show to follow up on her assessment of journalism’s declining health, as he did Ellen Page to rant and rave about fake victimhood.

Since Logan’s very presence would indict his hackery as well, we know the likelihood of that. Just as we know another woman of international renown, Martina Navratilova, has been no doubt permanently replaced in the lesbian intersectionality pantheon by the likes of Page because of her willingness to stand up in an op-ed for the London Times and point out the painfully obvious truth about transgenderism to the cult of lemmings before her:

To put the argument at its most basic: a man can decide to be female, take hormones if required by whatever sporting organization is concerned, win everything in sight and perhaps earn a small fortune, and then reverse his decision and go back to making babies if he so desires. It’s insane and it’s cheating. I am happy to address a transgender woman in whatever form she prefers, but I would not be happy to compete against her. It would not be fair.”

We are at the point now in our progressive story where those who were once genuine archetypes of the sort of woman feminists wanted – strong, competitive, outspoken, accomplished – must be destroyed for saying such things, i.e. for saying the truth. There is seemingly no stopping the progressive hive mind at this point. Whenever it goes too far these days, which is almost all of the time, it simply doubles down and attacks again.

In the race for who will be actual victims of faux victimology first, Navratilova has bested Logan. The pioneer lesbian tennis great was just kicked off a Rainbow Jihad board for believing more in the rainbow than the jihad. For her part, Logan should expect her ouster any day now.

For if they persist, if they fight on because they believe in the importance of their cause, then even they will be made to care.

In many respects, we are all living in an age akin to the hundreds of years after the time of Christ before Christians were allowed to publicly step out of the catacombs. And now, as then, the unrelenting paganism of the age is loath to allow light into the darkness – so loath that “know your place, woman” is coming back into fashion among progressives if they refuse to dance like Ocasio-Cortez.

Where I come from, says Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, “That’s called slavery.” Logan and Navratilova did that fictional heroine proud this week, and we are in desperate need of life imitating art like that far more often. Let the lassos of truth fly.
