Proof: RINO & leftist Sandy attacks on Cruz are plain wrong

The attacks on Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, as he tries to deal with the Hurricane Harvey crisis are absurd.

A Facebook post from Joseph Wade Miller, a Cruz re-election campaign staffer, dismantles the popular lie that there was no pork in the Hurricane Sandy bill (thereby making Sen. Cruz a hypocrite for voting against it). Miller labels the 2012 bill as nothing more than “legislative price gouging” … and it’s hard to disagree with the facts.

Lawmakers in the D.C. Swamp took advantage of the Hurricane Sandy devastation for their own political gain or favors in a must-pass bill.

“The reality is that many elected officials used the plight of victims of a natural disaster to load up a bill with their special interest pork spending for k-street lobbyists,” Miller writes.

“If the media is intent on creating a political circus during the middle of a natural disaster, the least they could do would be to actually help the victims of these storms by highlighting those legislators that think it is appropriate to manipulate disaster aid bills like this, as opposed to taking cheap shots at people like Senator Ted Cruz who are 100% focused on doing everything they can to save lives and help the residents of the region.”

The question going forward is, “How much pork will Congress attempt to stuff into the Hurricane Harvey relief package?” And who in the mainstream media will call them out for it?
