Another progressive throws Bill Clinton under the bus … In yesterday’s email I covered how, all of a sudden, the floodgates have opened on former President Bill Clinton. It is now the hip thing on the Left to say mea culpa, I was wrong, Clinton was a scumbag. Joining the fray today? Matt Yglesias of Vox writes that “Bill Clinton should have resigned.” Of course, most of the piece is littered with caveats that evil Republicans and Fox News really used the wrong arguments, and they were only doing it for political reasons. No, Matt, we knew Clinton abused his power, that it wasn’t “just a blow job.” It was you, and your partisan blinders, that couldn’t see it.
Why now? … The big question is why now, Matt? The simple answer is, because Yglesias and the other progressives no longer need Bill Clinton. In the NFL, much is made about coaching trees. Today’s head coaches can trace their pedigree to the head coaches who came before them, most notably Bill Parcels. Yglesias comes from the Clinton tree of progressive politics. He got his big break at ThinkProgress, the commentary arm of the Center for American Progress. The Center for American Progress was co-founded by Clinton, Inc.’s John Podesta. In a way, Yglesias owes his start to Bill Clinton. But now, it’s hip to throw Clinton under the bus, so Yglesias eagerly joins in.
Decades of cover … The Federalist’s David Harsanyi writes about the Left’s sudden awakening to the evils of Bill Clinton. He outlines, as I did above with Yglesias, why the sudden switch is “cynical and self-serving.” He slams the Left for their decades of cover.
A timely conversation … I joined Ricochet’s Michael Graham on his “Michael in the Morning” podcast today to talk about the sudden rush to condemn Bill Clinton and the Left’s amnesia on anything Russia that has to do with his wife. My part of the podcast starts at 26:30, but you should listen to the whole thing. Michael is an old friend, and I used to fill in on his radio show from time to time.

The Trump Jr./ WikiLeaks flop … CRTV’s Jon Miller took an in-depth look at the recent media heavy breathing over the series of laughable Twitter direct messages between WikiLeaks and Donald Trump, Jr. Miller highlights how this is really much ado about nothing.
Where’s the Menendez coverage … If Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., were a Republican, the media would be a 24/7 circus outside the Newark, N.J., courtroom where jury deliberations are dragging on into the second week. But he’s not. Michelle Malkin takes the media to task for this blatant double standard.
The ultimate Russian “fake news” … Conservative Review’s Jordan Schachtel outlines why the whole notion of the Trump campaign “colluding” with Russia is the ultimate in “fake news.” After months of hearings, and leaks, and more leaks, the only thing we know is that Mueller has gotten one guy for lying to federal agents and others for business dealings that had nothing to do with the campaign. Schachtel lays it all out; take a look.
I can’t fight back alone against the mainstream media. I need your help. There are two ways you can help. First, send your friends – and even your enemies – over to the WTF MSM!? email signup page. Second, email me at [email protected] with anything questionable you see the media do. Together, we can fight back.
