Is the abortion pill as ‘safe’ as Advil? Democrats say yes

Abortion is the biggest issue that the Democrat Party is running on, but Democrats never tell you how dangerous the procedure really is.

Which is why when young mother Amber Thurman died after taking the abortion pill, the mainstream media went after the abortion laws in Thurman’s home state of Georgia rather than the pill that killed her.

“She left Georgia, where she could not get an abortion at the time of her pregnancy that she was in, she went to another state, got abortion pills, took them, came back, was told everything is going to be fine, no big deal,” Stu Burguiere of “Stu Does America” explains.

“She took them, had a very, very big deal, and she wound up going to the hospital. They didn’t treat her for a long time, and she wound up dying. Now, she didn’t go to the hospital because of the Georgia abortion law. She went to the hospital because the pills she was told were going to be totally innocuous wound up putting her in a situation where she needed to go to the hospital,” he adds.

The babies in her womb were already dead from the abortion pill, so no abortion laws would have applied to her situation when she went to the hospital. The poor infants were not evacuated from her system, so that’s when sepsis set in.

While the Democrats jumped on this story because they felt they could mess with the truth and pin Thurman’s death on abortion laws, one story they ignored was the case of Eliana Dickson.

Dickson, a Nevada woman, also died of sepsis after taking abortion pills.

“You might note that Nevada does not have the Georgia abortion law,” Stu says, commenting that these women are sold a much different idea by doctors, politicians, and the media — so they have no idea what they could be getting themselves into.

“If you have a woman in your life that, God forbid, has gone down this road and is having these problems, please let them know, because the media is not going to do that. They’re going to do the exact opposite of that. They’re going to try to hide that information from them because they want political points. It’s disgusting,” he adds.

And they don’t just hide that information, but they lie about it.

CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins even compared the abortion drug mifepristone’s “safety” to being “on par with those of common over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen and acetaminophen.”

“Forget for just a moment all the stats I’m about to bring up and just, does that pass the sniff test to you? Have you ever had Tylenol? Have you ever had Advil?” Stu asks, disturbed. “Do you think that has a safety profile equal to the abortion drug? Do you think that? But no, experts are telling you it, so it must be so.”

‘The first red flag’: Ob-gyn busts myths on the tragic Amber Thurman case

Dr. Christina Francis is the CEO of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists — and she’s exposing the truth about media misinformation surrounding abortions and miscarriages.

One tragic example of this is the recent story of Amber Thurman, which made headlines when Democrats began wielding it as a weapon to push the pro-choice agenda. They claimed that the late mother lost her life to Georgia’s pro-life laws that left them refusing to perform an abortion for her.

What really happened is even more heart-wrenching.

Thurman was mother to a six-year-old boy and decided to get an abortion after learning she was pregnant with twins. She made the trip to North Carolina from Georgia for the procedure, as she was too far along to legally be given the abortion in Georgia.

After arriving back home in Georgia and taking the abortion pills, she fell ill and rushed to the ER with heavy bleeding and signs of an infection. While the doctors did give her antibiotics and performed a D&C, the procedure was not done in time to save her life.

“She ended up dying, which is tragic all around,” Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable” tells Dr. Francis, who agrees that it’s a tragic situation “that could have been avoided.”

“I think that we can actually draw different, very different, conclusions than what the media and politicians are drawing from that,” Dr. Francis says. “As she said, she was pregnant with twins, which would increase her risk some of complications from abortion drugs.”

“Because she got delayed by traffic, it said that the abortion facility could not hold her appointment for longer than 15 minutes. And so instead, a clinic employee offered her the abortion drugs. To me, that was the first red flag,” she continues, asking, “Where was the physician?”

“Where was the person who could truly give her informed consent about the risks of those drugs?” she asks, noting that it wasn’t just the abortion clinic that failed her.

The Georgia hospital that treated Thurman should have known immediately that she was showing signs of sepsis, which would require “immediate initiation of IV antibiotics and a D&C procedure.”

“That’s the only way that you can get an infection like this under control, you cannot control it with antibiotics alone,” Dr. Francis explains, adding, “Every competent ob-gyn should know that.”

While the media and politicians are claiming that this was due to Georgia’s pro-life laws, the doctors who took care of her aren’t even blaming Georgia’s pro-life laws.

“Georgia’s law would not have applied to Amber Thurman for two reasons,” Dr. Francis explains. “Her babies were not alive when she presented to the emergency room, and Georgia’s law clearly states that it does not apply in situations where a fetal demise or the babies have already passed.”

“Second of all,” she continues, “Georgia’s law has clear medical exceptions when women are facing life-threatening complications, that the doctors could have intervened immediately. So we need to be pointing fingers at the right things. We need to be pointing fingers at these abortion drugs.”

Dr. Francis also notes that these infections are known to be caused by abortion drugs, and “over 30 women have died in the U.S. now, that we know of, since taking these drugs.”

ACOG’s history of hostility towards pro-life doctors and laws suggests it is not interested in correcting twisted narratives about abortion.

Democrats are using Amber Thurman as abortion propaganda — and why that's wrong

A young mother tragically passed away after taking the abortion pill and encountering severe complications.

Her name was Amber Thurman, and she’s become the latest political pawn whose untimely death is being used to push political propaganda — specifically, and twistedly, abortion propaganda.

“Democrats, the media, and activists are trying to blame Georgia’s pro-life law and Donald Trump for her death,” Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable” comments, noting that Thurman passed away in 2022 — but it’s just making headlines now.

Thurman was nine weeks pregnant with twins when she decided to take abortion pills that would end the lives of her two babies, before becoming critically ill hours after taking the second pill.

She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors failed to treat her appropriately, and she later died of sepsis.

“Now, the pro-abortion side is blaming Georgia’s abortion ban for the doctor’s unwillingness to act, and ultimately, for her death,” Stuckey says, noting that Thurman had scheduled a D&C abortion in North Carolina, which stands for dilation and curettage.

“There’s actually a vacuum tube that is placed in the cervix of the mother into the uterus to suck these living babies out of the womb. Now, the hope is at that point that those babies are already dead, because there’s a variety of ways that they try to starve and poison the babies before the D&C, but that is not always the case,” she explains.

Thurman had reportedly gotten stuck in traffic and missed her appointment and was offered two abortion pills instead.

“From my understanding, without even seeing her, without even doing another ultrasound confirming how far along she was, this Planned Parenthood just said, ‘Yeah, here, take these abortion pills,’” Stuckey explains, adding, “and this is approved, by the way, by the FDA.”

At first Thurman was only suffering cramps, but after taking the second pill, she began bleeding profusely. When she made it to the hospital, they found she still had baby remnants in her uterus and an infection.

“Unfortunately, this happens far too often in these situations,” Stuckey says. “And you’ll remember, it is the abortion lobby that has fought tooth and nail against every single Republican legislative attempt to ensure that women are under a doctor’s care when they are going through an abortion.”

Now, the Democrat Party is blaming Georgia’s pro-life laws for Thurman’s death. However, the law specifically offered an exception for cases like Thurman’s.

“If the act performed with the purpose of removing a dead unborn child caused by spontaneous abortion or removing an ectopic pregnancy,” it is allowed.

“So definitely she could have legally gotten a D&C after her baby had died inside of her in the state of Georgia. That is completely legal,” Stuckey says.

Amber Thurman Died From The Abortion Pill, Not Pro-Life Laws

ProPublica’s attempt to blur the distinction between D&C for retained tissue and D&C to end the life of the developing baby underscores the media's smear campaign against pro-life laws.
