‘The View’ Co-Host Claims Deportation Will Cause Inflation At The Grocery Store

'We’re going to see that groceries and vegetables are higher'

Blistering racial battle explodes between Ana Navarro and conservative pundit Shermichael Singleton on 'CNN NewsNight'

For once, Scott Jennings wasn't the focal point of a heated debate on "CNN NewsNight" — and it's a fair bet he had no problem with that, given what went down on Wednesday's edition.

This time the combatants were far-left CNN political commentator Ana Navarro — whom we also know as a far-left co-host of "The View" — and conservative pundit Shermichael Singleton.

'Because you’ve advocated for black people, great. Congratulations. Last time I checked, I’m black; you’re not.'

The topic was President Donald Trump's deportation policies — but the debate soon morphed into a bitter, fiery racial argument between Navarro and Singleton, with both of them frequently hollering over each other.

Anchor Abby Phillip attempted in vain to rein things in, while Jennings and others around the table stayed out of it. But after continued fireworks, Phillip was forced to cut to a commercial as the battle of words between the two raged on.

You can view the dust-up here — and make sure to check out the words below that Navarro and Singleton fired at each other:

NAVARRO: You know who was here illegally before the deportation order? Marco Rubio’s grandfather.

SINGLETON: We’re not talking about Marco Rubio.

NAVARRO: Oh, now we’re not? Now, that’s not relevant?

SINGLETON: It’s not relevant. It’s not relevant to this conversation at all.

NAVARRO: No, I’m talking about Marco Rubio because Marco Rubio used to be an advocate for [Temporary Protected Status] for Venezuelans, and Marco Rubio used to be an advocate for Nicaraguans and Cubans.

SINGLETON: Well, I’m not Marco Rubio —

NAVARRO: No, I know you’re not.

SINGLETON: — and let me tell you my beliefs. If you come to this country illegally, you are going home. Simple as that. We do not have unlimited resources in this country to take care of other people.

NAVARRO: There’s a hell of a lot people other than the black people who were brought here as slaves who came to this country illegally.

SINGLETON: They are not the same as black people who were brought here against our will. [Illegal immigrants] decided to walk their butts across the border. There’s a big difference. There is a big difference! There’s a big difference, Ana!

NAVARRO: That’s exactly what I just said. I said there is a lot of people other than the black people! That's exactly what I just said! That's exactly what I just said, Shermichael! [You] look and act indignant!

SINGLETON: It's not about acting indignant.

NAVARRO: Yes, it is!

SINGLETON: You're acting as if you have the moral high ground here.

NAVARRO: You just heard me say that other than the black people who came as slaves there are a lot of people from many countries that came here illegally!

PHILLIP: I think you misheard what she said.

SINGLETON: Okay. Okay.

NAVARRO: No, he purposely misheard it!

SINGLETON: I purposely misheard it?

NAVARRO: Yes, you did!

SINGLETON: Now you’re in my brain? Is that where we're going?

NAVARRO: You think [that] I who have advocated for black people my entire life would say something like that? Give me a d**n break!

SINGLETON: Because you’ve advocated for black people, great. Congratulations. Last time I checked, I’m black; you’re not.

NAVARRO: That’s right! I’m Latino, and my people are being racially profiled!

SINGLETON: Do I have to remind you the history of my people? Do you want to go there? Do you really want to go on the moral high ground? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?

Ana Navarro jokes that Trump will ban black people from halftime over Kendrick Lamar's halftime show at Super Bowl

Ana Navarro of "The View" got a lot of applause from the audience after suggesting that the halftime show was somehow meant to oppose the policies of President Donald Trump.

Many viewers complained that they did not understand or enjoy Kendrick Lamar's halftime show, but Navarro loved it because she thought that it annoyed Trump, and she said people responded with racism. Trump was in attendance at the Super Bowl game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

'This much I know: All the black people on my feed were like, 'Ooh, this is blackity black black.''

Navarro says she is not interested in sports and was not watching the game Sunday but still wanted to weigh in on the halftime show.

"Listen, I think today Donald Trump is going to sign an executive order banning black people from halftime," she said.

"You remember last week we were talking about whether the NFL was capitulating to Trump by removing the term 'End Racism' from the end zone? Boy, did they not capitulate to Trump," she continued.

"When I saw Samuel L. Jackson dressed as a black Uncle Sam introducing Kendrick Lamar, who then had an entire formation of all black people making a U.S. flag, listen, this much I know: All the black people on my feed were like, 'Ooh, this is blackity black black.'"

"All the racists who somehow get in, they were hopping mad. If the racists are mad, I'm happy as a clam," she added.

Sunny Hostin added to the comments by trying to interpret the meaning behind Lamar's performance.

"A lot of people didn’t understand his performance. Guys, he’s an award-winning — a Pulitzer Prize-winning — musician and poet, OK? It was a many-layered performance. You've got Serena Williams crip walking ... and it was performance art if you really looked at it,” Hostin said.

“Yes, he had people dressed in red, white, and blue, the colors of the flag," she continued, "because he’s explaining that this is a divided country at this point. He also has them leaning to the side because this country was built on the backs of black people. So it was very multilayered.”

The entire segment is available on the YouTube channel for "The View."

The Philadelphia Eagles crushed the Kansas City Chiefs in a lopsided game where the score ended up 40 to 22.

Ana Navarro likens Snoop Dogg to a 'trained seal' for performing at pro-Trump event; some in 'The View' audience seem shocked

Co-host of "The View" Ana Navarro likened rapper Snoop Dogg to a "trained seal" over his decision to perform at a recent event celebrating President Donald Trump's inauguration.

What's more, a few in the audience of "The View" seemed to react with shock at Navarro's comparison.

'So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.'

Navarro criticized Snoop Dogg's apparent shift in politics, given the rapper pretended to shoot a Trump clown in a 2017 music video — and prior to Trump's first inauguration, Snoop Dogg promised on social media to ridicule anyone who performed at the ceremony: “I’m gonna roast the f*** out one of you Uncle Tom a** n***** for doing it."

Navarro said during Tuesday's episode of "The View" that "if you opposed and stood up against Trump in 2017, but you were there now. If you spoke up against Trump Jan. 7, 2021, but you were there now applauding him like a trained seal — Donald Trump has not changed, you've changed."

Immediately after Navarro uttered the words "trained seal," a few in the audience seemed to react with shock as a handful of "oooh" exclamations were audible. But despite the smattering of gasps, the audience roundly applauded Navarro after she was done speaking.

EW reported that Snoop Dogg performed over the weekend at the Crypto Ball, a pre-inaugural event. The Associated Press said that after a social media user posted a video of Snoop Dogg's performance, some were outraged by it.

In a January 2024 interview with the Times, Snoop Dogg seemed to have changed his tune.

“He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris," Snoop told the outlet regarding the founder of Death Row Records, which signed Snoop Dogg in the early 1990s, according to EW. "So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump."

EW said it reached out to a Snoop Dogg representative for comment.
