Blaze News original: Biden praised on CNN, MSNBC months ago for promise not to pardon Hunter. Now there's egg on a few faces.

It's indeed a salve for the conservative soul to watch numerous prominent voices against Donald Trump speak so glowingly months ago about President Joe Biden's promise that he wouldn't pardon his son Hunter — only to have that very thing come to pass Sunday.

Tom Elliott of news and video outlet Grabien posted a nine-minute supercut of anti-Trump pundits and cable news talking heads singing Biden's praises for his no-pardon pledge and using it to rip Trump to shreds, pointing out the "contrast" with Trump's complaints that the Justice Department was weaponized against him.

'It was a moment of just moral clarity on the part of Joe Biden and couldn't have been in starker contrast to the way Donald Trump has handled his own conviction.'

Blaze News took a deeper look at the clips, and one of the first things to stand out is how often the prominent elitists in them use the same words and phrases (such as "stark" and "contrast"and, for variety — "stark contrast") in their efforts to boost Biden and tear down Trump.

To wit: A guest of MSNBC's Joy Reid — Democrat U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida — told her in one clip that "the Democrats stand for the rule of law. Remember law and order. ... It is amazing to see the stark contrast between how Democrats handled today and how Republicans handled this whole thing over the last couple of weeks."

Another clip shows former federal prosecutor Preet Bharara telling MSNBC's Chris Hayes that Biden "could still pardon him; he said he won't do that ... given that it's his son. ... Pause for a moment and think about how unbelievable that is. In a million years, if the shoe were on the other foot."

Oh, how the worm has turned. Check out the carnage:

'One side: Democrats and Joe Biden protecting the justice system, and on the other, Republicans and Trump protecting Trump.'

CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp spoke during a segment titled "Biden says he won't pardon son Hunter if he's convicted" and attempted to draw a distinction between Biden and Trump: "The contrast is profound. To sit there and say, 'I'm not going to intervene in the legal process, and I wouldn't pardon my son.' ... One side: Democrats and Joe Biden protecting the justice system, and on the other, Republicans and Trump protecting Trump." You can view the clip here at the 40-second mark.

Cupp on Monday morning posted the following on X: "It doesn’t get said enough, but Trump’s enduring legacy will be convincing BOTH parties to lower the bar, and that possessing moral authority on anything is no longer a currency that matters."

Her statement was in response to the following post by never-Trump author Charlie Sykes: "Smart person texts me: 'Joe Biden has just removed the issue of pardons from the political arena for the next four years, and Trump probably once again can’t believe his own dumb f***ing luck at this point.' Sadly, I think he’s right."

'A current president of the United States has so much respect for the law that he has said he would not pardon his son ... again, it's all about the contrast.'

In another clip (1:06 mark), Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" stated that "a current president of the United States has so much respect for the law that he has said he would not pardon his son ... again, it's all about the contrast."

The clip cuts to Willie Geist of "Morning Joe" with this take: "President Biden saying, 'I will respect whatever this jury decides' versus Donald Trump after he was convicted on 34 counts saying the entire system is rigged against him."

Brzezinski pushed out an audible snicker after Geist's pronouncement.

'How can the Justice Department be weaponized against Trump when all of that is happening?'

Over a screen title that reads, "The right accuses the DOJ of weaponizing the justice system despite Hunter Biden's prosecution & guilty verdict," MSNBC's Joy Reid states that "the president said he won't touch it; he said he's not going to pardon his son, and it seems that [U.S. Attorney General] Merrick Garland let it go through. How can the Justice Department be weaponized against Trump when all of that is happening?"

Democrat U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida replied, "The Democrats stand for the rule of law. Remember law and order. ... It is amazing to see the stark contrast between how Democrats handled today and how Republicans handled this whole thing over the last couple of weeks."

You can view the clip here at the 3:47 mark. You can view the full June 11 segment here.

'Those words so completely contrast with his opponent.'

Katy Tur said in another MSNBC clip (7:36 mark) — with a screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden found guilty of 3 felony gun charges" — that the president insisted he would respect the outcome of his son's case and that "those words so completely contrast with what his opponent, now a convicted felon himself, continues to say about the U.S courts."

'The contrast to how Trump has behaved, how Trump has treated the rule of law ... this was a good day for the system.'

Chuck Todd — over an MSNBC screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden found guilty of 3 felony gun charges" — had the following to say: "The contrast to how Trump has behaved, how Trump has treated the rule of law ... this was a good day for the system, a good day for sort of America as an example of how the rule of law should work." You can view the clip here at the 7:58 mark.

'Joe Biden has very clearly said he would not pardon his son, he would not commute his sentence. How stark is this difference?'

Stephanie Ruhle of MSNBC's "The Nightcap" — over a screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden convicted on gun charges" — said the following to her panel: "The latest attack is that Joe Biden has politicized and weaponized the DOJ, right? That was the whole argument around Donald Trump's conviction, and this week, of course, Hunter Biden was found guilty, and Joe Biden has very clearly said he would not pardon his son, he would not commute his sentence. How stark is this difference? I mean, how can Republicans keep making this argument now that Joe Biden has really put it out there?" You can view the clip here at the 1:28 mark.

'He is not pardoning his son ... he is not doing it because he is living what it means to have a rule of law in this country.'

Speaking to MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace over a screen title that reads, "Trump, GOP call on SCOTUS to respond to guilty verdict," former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann says the following: “He is not pardoning his son, which he could do. These are federal charges. He is not doing that. He is not doing it because he is living what it means to have a rule of law in this country.” After a cut in the clip, Weissmann adds, "If you want to know if he believes it, you can see what is actually happening with his own son." You can view the clip here at the 2:01 mark.

'There's an opportunity here for Biden to say, you know, "The jury found [Hunter] guilty. This is how it’s supposed to work. Period. Paragraph. End of story."'

Another MSNBC clip (3:09 mark) features political commentator Molly Jong-Fast — over a screen title that reads "Press [secretary] doesn't rule out potential that Biden could commute Hunter's sentence" — offering the following take: “I think Joe Biden has a chance here to stand up for the rule of law, to say ... the law is the law, no matter who it is, no matter if it’s Trump or Biden. And remember, part of Trump-ism’s dangerousness is that it tears down institutions, important institutions of our democracy. So there's an opportunity here for Biden to say, you know, 'The jury found [Hunter] guilty. This is how it’s supposed to work. Period. Paragraph. End of story.'”

Fox News reported that Jong-Fast — after learning Biden pardoned his son — told MSNBC, "I, so, I just heard it. I have to process it. I don’t have a take. I’m sorry."

'You heard the president say he would accept the outcome of the case; I know no other word for that but "presidential."'

An MSNBC clip (4:17 mark) — with a screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden found guilty in federal gun trial" — shows former acting U.S. Solicitor General Neal Katyal saying the following to host Jonathan Capehart: "For years, these conservatives have been crowing about a politicized Justice Department, Biden politicizing it, and so on. What happened today? The Justice Department convicted the president’s own son — his only living son. You heard the president say he would accept the outcome of the case; I know no other word for that but 'presidential.'”

Capehart replied, "[Biden] even went so far as to say he wouldn’t pardon his son. That’s how much respect he has for the system.”

Interestingly, Katyal on Sunday night posted a link to an October Politico story titled, "Trump says he’s open to pardoning Hunter Biden." Katyal wrote above the link, "Just putting this out there ..."

'It was a moment of just moral clarity on the part of Joe Biden and couldn't have been in starker contrast to the way Donald Trump has handled his own conviction.'

CNN's Jim Acosta — over a screen title that reads, "Pres. Biden says he will not pardon his son" — asked author Chris Whipple for his take on Biden's declaration.

Whipple — author of "The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden's White House" — replied by saying, "I thought it was extraordinary. I mean, it was a moment of just moral clarity on the part of Joe Biden and couldn't have been in starker contrast to the way Donald Trump has handled his own conviction."

You can view the clip here at the 4:45 mark.

'He could still pardon him; he said he won't do that ... given that it's his son ... pause for a moment and think about how unbelievable that is.'

In an MSNBC clip (5:05 mark) with a screen title that reads, "Biden: 'I accept the outcome' of Hunter Biden trial," former federal prosecutor Preet Bharara told host Chris Hayes the following: "He could still pardon him; he said he won't do that ... given that it's his son ... pause for a moment and think about how unbelievable that is. In a million years, if the shoe were on the other foot" — Hayes apparently uttered a dismissive huff off camera in this moment — "and Donald Trump was facing the prospect of his son being prosecuted by ... a Biden holdover or Obama holdover prosecutor, not in a million, million years would that have happened. So ... some of the people on the right, the people who support Donald Trump, are trying to cast this as some sort of clever ops program."

A longer clip of Bharara's statement was posted on the "All In with Chris Hayes" X account on June 11.

'It's a great reminder that one political party remains committed to the rule of law, and the other doesn't.'

In an MSNBC clip (5:43 mark), Democrat U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts stated the following on June 11: "Hunter Biden was found guilty by a jury of his peers, just like Donald Trump. Because this is our justice system at work. The divide here is stunning. It's a great reminder that one political party remains committed to the rule of law, and the other doesn't."

According to The Hill, McGovern also said, "The contrast today is just staggering. Apparently, when a Republican is convicted, it’s weaponization. But when a Democrat is convicted — the president’s son, no less — that’s justice. I mean, give me a break."

'One of the things that anybody who spends time around Joe Biden comes to know is that he's had this long-running focus on how much he is bothered by abuses of power.'

Over a CNN screen title that reads, "Biden, for first time, says he won't commute son's sentence," New Yorker writer Evan Osnos — who also authored "Joe Biden: The Life, the Run, and What Matters Now" — said that Biden is "really" saying that "I don't plan to use the powers of the office, the powers of the presidency, to provide private relief for my family." Osnos added that, "In a sense, he's staking out a pretty bright line between being, as he says, a president and a dad, and that's not just an emotional expression; he's in effect saying, 'I don't think that I should, I don't have a right, even though it's legal' — and God knows it must be tempting — 'to use this power in a way that is not available to so many other Americans facing similar kinds of struggles.'"

Osnos said in another cut, "There's a kind of old-school, sort of flinty core to [Biden's] conception of how you are to be in the system, how you are to be as a person — a moral person — and ultimately how to contend with questions of power. One of the things that anybody who spends time around Joe Biden comes to know is that he's had this long-running focus on how much he is bothered by abuses of power."

You can view the clip here at the 6:06 mark.

BONUS: 'They're not even his sons; they're just sons of b***hes.'

Another clip (2:30 mark) features Ana Navarro of "The View" and sports a CNN logo on the bottom right of the screen — however, the clip appears to be from the June 14 episode of HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher," which began airing Saturdays on CNN earlier this year.

Still, the clip is worth including in this rundown. In it Navarro stated: "Joe Biden has gotten asked if he would pardon his son; he has said no. ... On the other side, you've got Donald Trump who has said that he will pardon the January 6 insurrectionists. They're not even his sons; they're just sons of bitches."

You might be surprised (or maybe not) that Navarro posted a few X entries this week after hearing that Biden did, in fact, pardon his son — and she's backing him all the way.

"Good for @JoeBiden," Navarro noted Monday. "America elected a convicted felon. That convicted felon pardoned his son-in-law’s father and appointed him Ambassador to France. If you support that, I don’t want to hear jack-s**t about Biden pardoning his son."

She also posted Monday that "Woodrow Wilson pardoned his brother-in-law, Hunter deButts. Bill Clinton pardoned his brother, Roger. Donald Trump pardoned his daughter’s father-in-law, Charlie Kushner. And just appointed him Ambassador to France. But tell me again how Joe Biden 'is setting precedent'?"

Not to put too fine a point on it, Navarro posted the following on Tuesday: "Reading all these Trumpers offended Biden LIED! Trump lied about bone spurs, lied about his taxes, lied on his bank loan applications, lied to his wives, lied about hush-money payments, lied about the 2020 election results, lied about Haitians eating cats & dogs ... shall I go on??"

Could it be that she doth protest too much? Nah.

‘The View’ host worried about her mental health after Trump victory

President-elect Donald Trump won the presidency in a landslide against Vice President Kamala Harris, and liberal women everywhere are in shambles.

Particularly, the liberal women like Ana Navarro of “The View.”

“In 2016 at this time, the Women’s March was being planned. That began getting planned the election night and it began with a Facebook post of a housewife in Hawaii, and it turned into millions of women marching all over the country the day after the inauguration,” Navarro explained to the distraught panel.

“We’re all eight years older. I think a lot of us are still apoplectic that America voted against a qualified woman again and put in this racist misogynist, and they don’t care,” she continued. “And so it’s, like, it’s tiring. It is exhausting. It is disappointing.”

“This election cycle was like an emotional roller coaster, right? We had Joe Biden, the debate, two assassination attempts, Kamala coming in and running hard, leaving it all on the field for 107 days, and then we thought she was going to win like we did with Hillary in 2016 and she didn’t.”

“So I think people are exhausted. I think they are looking at taking care of themselves before they care of America,” she said. “I got to breathe. My mental health has got to be in a good place. My physical health has got to be in a good place. That doesn’t mean we’re going to tune out for four years, but it means we’re going to take some bubble baths for a little bit.”

Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” is endlessly amused by the women on this particular show.

“First off, Donald Trump is not a racist, and he’s not a misogynist,” Rubin says, adding, “judge the guy by what he actually does, and then I think you’ll find yourself on the right side of history. And Ana, you will find yourself miserable and alone.”

‘Morning Joe’s’ civil sit-down with Trump leaves ‘The View’ hosts FUMING

Like most of the mainstream media, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, called Donald Trump “Hitler” for years.

Now they’re attempting to build a civil relationship with the president-elect, including by sitting down for a meeting with him — and “The View’s” Sunny Hostin could not be less thrilled.

“The bottom line is that America needs a free press that is willing to speak truth to power, right now, more than ever,” Hostin began.

“I think that we have to be very clear-eyed when we think about the president-elect and cover the president-elect, and I don’t think you need to sit down for 90 minutes a Mar a Lago and kiss his ring to be able to speak truth and to be able to cover a story,” she continued.

“So maybe they’re not journalists in the true sense, maybe they’re saying that they’re opinion journalists, but we have to remember that Trump is the guy who ushered in the era of fake news,” she concluded.

Of course, Ana Navarro wholeheartedly agreed.

“I think there’s a lot of people who are probably looking at what Joe and Mika did and find it opportunistic,” she said. “There are people who change their stripes, or maybe their spots, I should say today, depending on who is in power and what benefits them.”

“We don’t know what they’re going to do if he commits abuses of power as president. So, you know, everybody has to live with their decision. Everybody has to look at themselves in the mirror,” she added.

Surprisingly, Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” agrees.

“Yes, I’ve been saying you people have to look at yourselves in the mirror. I don’t think you’re quite there yet, Ana, although the Ozempic is working, but that’s not really what you should be looking in the mirror for,” Rubin says.

“What you should be looking in the mirror for is that your hypocrisy is off the charts. You think people change their stripes to be opportunistic? That’s kind of funny, Ana Navarro, because you used to work when you were a Republican, a conservative, for Marco Rubio, who’s now secretary of state,” he adds.

ABC News in ‘panic mode’ to balance ‘The View’ after anti-Trump panel misses voter sentiment: Report

ABC News is reportedly in "panic mode" trying to find more conservative voices to balance "The View" after the show's entire panel threw their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris' failed presidential bid.

Sources told the New York Post that the network is scrambling to rectify the voter disconnect on the talk show. According to the unidentified sources, ABC News has been hosting "intense," "high-level meetings" since last week.

'The current panel is clearly resonating with audiences given that the series just had its highest rated episode in more than a decade.'

Reportedly, the first order of business for the network's executives is to find a panelist to join the show who is a supporter of President-elect Donald Trump. Even the show's two current so-called Republican co-hosts, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin, have repeatedly bashed Trump and his policies.

A source told the Post that the show is "facing pressure from higher-ups."

"Viewers can expect some major changes including bringing in new panelists that can bring in a pro-Trump perspective," the source continued. "Everyone on 'The View' endorsed Kamala Harris. They lost. They are out of touch with America."

"For a show about different perspectives, 'The View' doesn't seem to have any when it comes to Trump. ABC bosses don't want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic," the source added.

The source speculated that bringing on a pro-Trump host could cause a stir with the other panelists.

"The question is what will happen to the Whoopis and the Joys if they bring on a Trumpster?" the source questioned, referring to Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar.

Whether the network plans to replace any current hosts or simply add another panelist is unclear.

A second source told the Post, "We are trying to sort out how we cover the next 4 years when everyone inside ABC News is on one side."

An ABC spokesperson denied the sources' claims, stating that it is an "opinion-based show featuring a diverse panel of women with different points of view."

The spokesperson then remarked that the show had just seen its highest ratings, seemingly oblivious to the likely reason behind the surge in viewership. It is plausible that many Americans, especially those with conservative views who typically avoid the program, flocked to see the far-left panelists' dramatic reactions to Trump's landslide election win.

The ABC News spokesperson told the Post, "The current panel is clearly resonating with audiences given that the series just had its highest rated episode in more than a decade and hit a 4-year high in total viewers."

After Trump's win, Behar accused his supporters of being racist and misogynistic.

Co-host Sunny Hostin questioned what was "wrong" with the Americans who voted for him, blaming "uneducated white women" and "Latino men" for Harris' loss.

Meghan McCain, a former co-host on "The View," criticized her former colleagues for being out of touch with American voters.

"Respectfully, please stop sending me clips from The View," she told her followers on X. "It's a radical progressive insane asylum and that is why I left years ago."

In an earlier post, McCain wrote, "It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn't one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn't repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular."

Trump’s new border czar calls ‘The View’ the ‘island of misfit toys,’ debunks erroneous claims about pending mass deportation

The lack of border security under the Biden administration is one of many reasons the nation re-elected Donald Trump. The people are ready to see the mass deportations Trump has promised come to fruition.

Per usual, however, the mainstream media/propaganda arm of the Democrat Party is spinning lies about what mass deportations mean.

Dave Rubin plays the clip of “The View” co-host Ana Navarro lying about Trump’s intentions to deport American citizens and the response from Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar.

“If you have U.S. citizen children or a U.S. citizen spouse and you don’t want to separate them, then let’s deport the U.S. citizens,” Navarro said, referring to Trump’s mass deportation plan.

“When you talk about mass deportations, people think, ‘Oh, it's just going to be the criminals.’ ... What it means is grandmothers; what it means is brothers and aunts; what it means is abuelos y abuelas; it means dreamers; it means your family members; it means your colleagues,” Navarro claimed.

Following these erroneous statements, Trump’s appointed border czar Tom Homan joined “The Sean Hannity Show” to clear up any confusion.

“Are you planning on deporting American citizens?” Hannity asked.

“No, exactly not. Look, ‘The View,’ it’s like the island of misfit toys,”’ he chuckled. “They don’t know what the hell they’re talking about.”

Homan then explained Trump’s actual plan: To “prioritize public safety threats and national security threats first,” meaning they’re going to seek out “convicted criminal aliens in this country” and issue “orders of removal.”

However, that doesn’t mean that if you’re an illegal alien who’s not a convicted criminal that you’re safe.

“If you're in the country illegally, you shouldn't feel comfortable — absolutely not,” Homan added. “When you enter this country illegally, you have committed a crime. You are a criminal, and you're not off the table.”

“We’re finally getting the guy we’ve been waiting for!” says Dave.

Don’t Give Democrats Credit For Conceding. They Had No Other Options

Don't be fooled by Democrats' uncharacteristic acceptance of election results. It's their only move right now.

'The View' co-hosts — some dressed in black as if for a funeral — harp and complain after Trump wins back White House

In their first broadcast since Donald Trump took back the White House overnight in a resounding victory over Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, the co-hosts of "The View" — some dressed in black as though they were attending a funeral — as expected harped and complained Wednesday morning about Trump's win.

Whoopi Goldberg at one point acknowledged that Trump is "now the president" — however, she added a caveat: "I'm still not gonna say his name."

'I'm profoundly disturbed that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution did not prevent someone who participated in an insurrection from becoming president of the United States.'

Ana Navarro lamented that America failed to elect "the first black, Asian woman president. History slipped through our fingers again. I worked hard as hell for Donald Trump not to be president. But today, unlike Donald Trump and his followers, I acknowledge that he won."

Sunny Hostin said, "I'm profoundly disturbed. I think if you look at the New York Times this morning, the headline was ‘America Makes a Perilous Choice.’ I think that in 2016 we didn’t know what we would get from a Trump administration. But we know now. And we know now he will have almost unfettered power. And so I worry — not about myself actually, I don’t worry about my station in life — I worry about the working class. I worry about my mother, a retired teacher. I worry about our elderly and their Social Security and their Medicare. I worry about my children’s future, especially my daughter who now has less rights than I have.”

Hostin added: "I'm profoundly disturbed that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution did not prevent someone who participated in an insurrection from becoming president of the United States. I think that going forward that the convicted felon box on employment applications better be taken off because if you can be the president of the United States, then you should not be prevented from employment in this country."

Hostin also wrung her hands about a health care system that's "now at risk" — and then she looked down and appeared to read from a screen and noted that economists say Trump will "increase the [national] debt by $7.75 trillion." She also noted concerns about "mass deportations and internment camps."

“I'm surprised at the result, but I'm not surprised. As a woman of color, I was so hopeful that a mixed-race woman married to a Jewish guy could be elected president of this country,” Hostin concluded. “And I think that it had nothing to do with policy; I think this was a referendum of cultural resentment in this country.”

Sara Haines and even Joy Behar — a dyed-in-the-wool Trump-hater — were more measured in their reactions.

Alyssa Farah Griffin has been touted for a while as the lone Republican at the table — although she said she didn't vote for Trump — and seemed the most understanding of them all.

"We need to bring down the temperature, the name-calling, the demonizing," she said before adding that "it is a moment to listen to the voters. ... I didn't expect [Trump's win] to be this resounding, and I think there are some lessons from it. ... I think we forget about rural America. I think the working class feels left behind. They feel like the powerful, the elite only care about them and their power. And [Trump] spoke to them. We may not have liked his words, but they turned out for him."

Ana Navarro puts her ignorance on full display while trying to needle Trump over Virgin Mary post

Trump posted an image of the Virgin Mary to social media Sunday with the caption, "Happy Birthday Mary!"

The post ostensibly resonated with a great many Christians, Catholics in particular — of which there are nearly 1.4 billion worldwide and at least 52 million stateside. However, various radicals reflexively went on the attack.

Among those prickled by the painting of Christ's mother was Harris booster Ana Navarro, a former foreign agent who is now co-host of ABC's "The View." In a desperate attempt to embarrass Trump over the post, Navarro instead beclowned herself.

Navarro, a recent speaker at the Democratic National Convention and former national surrogate for John McCain's failed 2008 presidential campaign, responded, "When you obviously know nothing about virgins."

The image Trump shared is a devotional image of the Virgin of Guadalupe displayed on woven cloth and located within the Basílica de Guadalupe in Mexico City.

While Navarro suggested that Trump is ignorant of virgins, his understanding appears to have bested hers on the fundamentals.

The image he shared — of the Virgin of Guadalupe — depicts the Virgin Mary. Where Catholics like Melania Trump are concerned, September 8 is the feast day celebrating the nativity of the Virgin Mary — also known as her birthday.

Christians outside Mexico have been celebrating Mary's birthday, as Trump had, since at least the sixth century.

'Can somebody please tell this idiota to show some respect.'

Some individuals online who attempted to extract sense from Navarro's tweet concluded that the former Contras campaigner was herself perhaps unclear about what "virgin" meant, at least in the case of Mary — that Navarro believed that the Virgin Mary had no birthday.

While the Catholic Church holds that Mary was "preserved immune from all stain of original stain" from the first moment of her conception, it nevertheless maintains she was still conceived and born, hence her centuries-old birthday celebration.

In the face of significant backlash online over her failed attack, Navarro indicated why she was upset in an edited Instagram post.

Navarro wrote, "I mean, I know Trump knows nothing about virgins, but even for him, this is ridiculous. Can somebody please tell this idiota to show some respect. September 8th is the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Feast Day of La Virgén de la Caridad del Cobre, patron Virgin of Cuba. This is the Virgin of Guadalupe - Patron Virgin of Mexico. Her Feast Day is Dec 12th. I can't. I just can't."

The religious figure celebrated in each of those feasts is the same depicted in the image Trump shared Sunday. It appears Navarro either regards them as distinct entities or the image used by Trump to be regionally exclusive.

Navarro told CNN talking head Erin Burnett in 2016 that "maybe if the Virgin Mary appeared to me and asked me to do it, I would consider [voting for Trump]."

Clearly, the co-host of "The View" will take more convincing than a post she failed to appreciate.
