Self-proclaimed activist shares video threatening police funerals: 'I'm gonna f*** that s**t up. That'll make news ASAP.'

A self-proclaimed activist has gone viral for threatening to "f*** up" police funerals even as NYPD Detective Jason Rivera was being laid to rest.

Rivera and his partner were killed in an ambush-style attack last week as they responded to a call for a domestic dispute.

Tens of thousands of NYPD officers showed up for Rivera's final send-off, crowding the streets of New York City in order to pay their final respects to their brother in blue.

What are the details?

Activist Terrell Harper is reported to have shared the original video on his Instagram stories, which contained a photograph of the officers lining the streets of New York City.
In the video, a man identified by several news outlets can be heard saying, "That'd have been a wet dream to f*** that funeral up, bro."
"I can't wait," he added. "I'm looking for the next cop funeral. I'm gonna f*** it up, bro. I'm gonna f*** that s**t up. That'll make news ASAP."
Harper continued, "I’m f***ing their next funeral up. You n*****s better not die no time soon because I’m gonna f*** your funeral up … Son, that’s going to be my new threat to them. I can’t wait for one of you all to die so I can f*** your funeral up, n*****.”
Harper was accused of hurling racial slurs at an Asian NYPD officer in 2021, prompting a lawsuit.
According to the suit, Harper was recorded on video calling the officer a "god damn cat eater" and asked if he was goin to "Judo chop" him into submission.
"This was something that I never experienced before,” the officer told the Gothamist at the time. “I’ve never experienced this level of racism and hatred directly at me, directly at the Asian community.”
The New York Post reported that the NYPD is investigating the threats.

Harper's Instagram appears to be set to private at the time of this reporting.

ACE Hardware worker says 'I smell bacon' while cop is in store and refuses to apologize, police association says

The Boston Police Patrolmen's Association tweeted that an officer was inside an Ace Hardware store in the city's Allston neighborhood Tuesday when an employee said, "I smell bacon" — a synonym for the derogatory term "pig" used against police.

The BPPA said that when the officer asked for an apology, he was told there would be none. With that, the purchased items were returned, the association said, and the store "lost" a customer. The BPPA characterized the incident as a "bad experience" for the officer.

But several hours after the BPPA's initial tweet, the association posted a follow-up message saying Ace Hardware representatives reached out and spoke to the officer in question and that "during the conversation, an apology was offered and graciously accepted by the officer with both parties agreeing that mutual respect benefits us all."

There was no indication that the employee in question offered an apology or was disciplined in any manner. Anti-police sentiment has been spiking of late, particularly in urban areas — and especially on the heels of incidents involving black men such as the death of George Floyd and the shooting of Jacob Blake.

How did folks react?

The reaction on Twitter to the incident was mixed. Some users were upset that employee showed such disrespect toward a police officer:

  • "Disgraceful, disgusting, and un-American," one user noted.
  • "Damn....Ace Hardware just f'd up," another user said. "I'm a Democrat, yes, but I believe all lives matter and don't wish harm to anyone. I also believe not all cops are bad. I work for Lowes in upstate NY, and we would NEVER disrespect any first responders like that! I repeat.....NEVER."
  • "Omg @AceHardware better fire that rude employee," another commenter noted. "Fast."
  • "I say this as a Dem ... as a Lib ... as someone appalled by police brutality ... HOWEVER, I also think that as an employee, working anywhere, my job is to serve the customer and treat him/her with courtesy," another user said. "To initiate rudeness on the side of the employee is not good policy."
  • "And a pos employee should be fired," another said.

But quite a few others were decidedly unsympathetic to the officer:

  • "A cop is butt hurt, the world knows they're a wuss & easily offended by WORDS. Wow! This little piggy cried all the way home," one commenter offered. "If the cop is that sensitive, they need a new job w/o access to a gun."
  • "If you need help crying about it, may i suggest deploying a canister of tear gas inside your patrol car," another quipped.
  • "If someone can't handle 'I smell bacon' they have no business controlling a firearm," another person said. "This is why y'all murder black people who are running away or asleep in their beds — you have no control over your emotions and are a bunch of babies with guns on an ego trip."
  • "Phew. For a second there, I thought you were going to say an ACE Hardware employee shot your officer in the back 7 times in the cutlery department," another user said.

Ace Hardware on Thursday morning didn't immediately respond to TheBlaze's request for comment regarding if any disciplinary action was taken against the employee in question.

Michigan GOP headquarters vandalized with profanity-laced anti-cop hate messages

The headquarters for the Michigan Republican party in downtown Lansing was vandalized with messages insulting police and immigration officials on Sunday.

The messages in spray-paint on the building included, "abolish police," "f*** police," "f*** 12" and "f*** you."

Laura Cox, the chair of the Michigan Republican Party, released a statement about the vandalism on Monday.

"The Michigan Republican Party is proud to stand by the men and women of law enforcement, and I am incredibly proud of my service with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency," said Cox.

"This vandalism is emblematic of the chaos sweeping through our nation's Democrat-run cities, as the radical left uses criminal tactics to try and extort weak politicians into defunding the men and woman who keep us safe. Republicans will not be intimidated," she added.

"President Trump will not be intimidated," she concluded. "And this November, the American people will show the world they will not be intimidated when they reelect President Donald Trump."

The official social media account for the Michigan Republican Party also posted photographs of the vandalism.

"Sunday night our building was vandalized with radical anti-police statements. We will not be intimidated, and we will continue to work hard to ensure President @realDonaldTrump is re-elected!," they tweeted.

According to Fox News, the party said they filed a a report with the City of Lansing Police Department about the incident.

"Abolish ICE" has been a component of political campaigns for the more progressive and far left Democratic candidates, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). Cox was formerly an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent for 13 years.

In a similar incident in February, the Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was vandalized with spray-paint. In that case, police charged a Democratic activist after an anonymous tip, but the charges were later dropped because he had an alibi witness and could not be positively identified from surveillance video.

Chicago restaurant fires employee over three words a cop found written on his receipt

A popular eatery in Chicago fired an employee after a social media post claimed that the employee wrote an anti-cop message on an officer's receipt.

The post appeared on a Facebook page of a person friendly with the Chicago cop, according to WMAQ-TV.

"A very dear friend of mine, placed a to go order at Happy Camper in Wrigley today," the post read. "He is a Chicago Police Detective and has to be in full uniform and riot ready at any time. 12-16 hr days 6-7 days a week. When picking up, he noticed this note left by the cashier."

The receipt had a very simple three-word message: "quit your job."

The officer said he tipped the cashier for the food but later decided to throw out the meal in case someone had spat in it.

"This is unacceptable. Everyone is entitled to their feelings and political views, but definitely not when it comes to a professional environment. Where did people learn to disrespect the people that are paying their bills? How can any business allow this to happen?" asked the officer's friend who posted the message.

The restaurant responded in a statement that the cashier in question was quickly identified and fired.

"Our company works incredibly hard to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for all customers," read the statement.

"Upon learning this morning about an incident last night involving a customer, we immediately took action to terminate the employee," the statement said. "We sincerely and humbly apologize – the action of one does not accurately reflect who we are as a company. We have zero tolerance for any behavior that doesn't give our customers the full respect they deserve."

The restaurant added that it reached out to the officer and apologized personally and offered "a full refund and provide a gift card to his restaurant of choice."

Some food service workers use their jobs to voice their antagonism and animosity against law enforcement officers, but many of them lose their jobs after a public outrage. In one example from 2019, two employees of a North Carolina fast food restaurant were quickly sent to the unemployment line after they refused to serve a veteran police officer.
