Tim Walz may be done — but impeachment is just the beginning

Four articles of impeachment have been filed against Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz, and BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales believe not only that it has been a long time coming, but that far more needs to be done to rectify his actions.

“A person whose name is always synonymous with Somali fraud, it seems — sorry, I guess legally I have to say, like, ‘allegedly,’ seems like things are coming back to bite him,” Gonzales says on “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered.” “Of course, I’m talking about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.”

“Now, I would say, if the left wants to constantly impeach Donald Trump over nothing, we should probably impeach all of them over the things that they did that are actually crimes,” she continues.

The four articles that have been filed against Tim Walz include Article I: Violation of Oath of Office through Concealment of Fraud; Article II: Interference with Oversight and Investigations; Article III: Prioritizing Political Considerations Over Lawful Administration; and Article IV: Failure to Steward Public Funds.

“The only way in which he gets away with this is that it’s Democrat-run in Minnesota and the Democrats just won’t ever do this to one of their own. That’s the only way, because all the receipts we’ve gone over ad nauseum, like, the receipts are there that he did all of these things,” Gonzales says.

Walz has also dropped out of the next gubernatorial race, which he claimed he was doing to get to the bottom of the fraud.

“Tim Walz is like, ‘I’m dropping out to help get to the bottom of' why he was such a facilitator to fraud, I guess,” Gonzales mocks, before playing a clip of Walz making the excuse.

“Every minute that I spend defending my own political interest would be a minute I can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who want to prey on our differences,” Walz announced.

“So I’ve decided to step out of this race, and I’ll let others worry about the election while I focus on the work that’s in front of me for the next year,” he added.

“Oh, okay. It’s all the other people who are the problem,” Gonzales says.

“Now, obviously, I think Tim Walz should be impeached. I actually like President Trump’s idea better, which is that he just needs to be hauled away in handcuffs, which is what he posted on Truth Social,” she laughs.

“That is my president,” she adds.

Christmas counterattack: '12 days of impeachments'

Unable to successfully impeach President Donald Trump, House Democrats have turned their ire against RFK Jr. — introducing impeachment articles against the Health and Human Services secretary after he “turned his back on science.”

“Yes, he has turned his back on science because, by the way, Dr. Fauci is the science, and he doesn’t like Dr. Fauci. I guess maybe this is their reasoning,” BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales scoffs.

“What is immediately obvious is the Democrats are not in power this time around. Like this is obviously not going to go anywhere. Nothing’s going to happen. This is all clearly performative,” Gonzales says.

Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.), the woman claiming she is impeaching RFK Jr., made a fool out of herself in 2020 yelling on the House floor while wearing latex gloves to protect herself from the COVID virus — and Gonzales hasn’t forgotten.

“This is the type of person who's leading the charge to impeach RFK Jr.,” Gonzales says. “And I just, this is actually big news. I didn’t realize that we could just make up reasons to impeach people.”

“And I started thinking to myself ... if we’re just making up reasons to impeach people, I think Republicans should say, ‘You know what, Democrats, we’ll play by your rules, that’s fine, that's fine. You guys make these wacky rules, and we will play by them,’” she continues.

“We’re going to take that same energy and impeach some of the Democrats,” she adds.

This is what has inspired Gonzales’ 12 days of impeachments — in the spirit of Christmas.

“On the first day of impeachments ... who other than [Rep.] Nancy Pelosi [D-Calif.]? Now her crime? Being a drunk,” she charges.

On the second day of impeachments, Gonzales would impeach Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for “the crime of marrying her brother,” and on the third day, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) for the crime of “being r*****ed.”

On the fourth day, Gonzales would like to see Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) impeached for the same crime as Crockett, and on the fifth day, “Pencil-neck [Sen.] Adam Schiff [D-Calif.] for the crime of mortgage fraud.”

“Now I would like to be clear. He’s not actually been convicted of these crimes, but that’s OK. It doesn’t matter because you were accused of it,” she jokes.

On the sixth day, “[Rep.] Jerry Nadler [D-N.Y.] for the crime of wearing his pants up to his neck,” and on the seventh, “[Rep.] Eric Swalwell [D-Calif.], for sh**ting himself on live TV, farting, I don’t know.”

James Boasberg comes in at number eight, for “being a rogue judge and blocking President Trump,” and closely following Boasberg is Ketanji Brown Jackson for the crime of “being a DEI hire and not knowing what a woman is.”

The tenth day is the “easiest sell,” with Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) for “sedition, because he actually committed it,” with Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) following on the eleventh day “for being a Temu version of Obama.”

“And on the final day, we’d like Beto O’Rourke because he was an embarrassment to the state of Texas. And he looks like the wacky, wild, inflatable guy that you see at car dealerships,” Gonzales says.

“I’m just saying,” she continues. “Republicans, grow some balls.”

43 Republican senators sign letter to Schumer, pressing for Senate to hold Mayorkas impeachment trial

The bulk of the Senate GOP conference has joined a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer that calls for the chamber to hold a trial regarding the articles of impeachment the House lodged against Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas back in February.

According to reports, a spokesperson for House Speaker Mike Johnson has indicated that "the House will transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate next week."

Forty-three GOP senators signed onto the letter, which describes the nation's southern border as "a national security disaster."

"We write to demand that the Senate uphold its constitutional responsibility to properly adjudicate the House of Representatives' impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas," the letter declares. "Since 1797, twenty-one individuals have been impeached by the House of Representatives. Trials were held in every single instance, except once when an impeached judge resigned from office before trial commenced. Absent Secretary Mayorkas' immediate resignation, this impeachment should remain faithful to Senatorial precedent.

"In the face of the disaster that mounts daily at our southern border, and in communities across America, the House of Representatives has formally accused Alejandro Mayorkas of demeaning his office. The American people deserve to hear the evidence through a Senate trial in the Court of Impeachment," the letter states. "Therefore, we implore you to hold a trial, as has been done in every similar case in the Senate's 235 years of existence."
