Outspoken left-wing celebrity Bette Midler has claimed that former President Donald Trump tortured the truth to the point of death during a CNN town hall earlier this week.

Trump appeared on the left-leaning cable channel on Wednesday night for the event. Midler has offered scathing critiques of his performance.

"Dear Donnie, Well, that was the most depressing, demented, dim-witted performance any of us have ever seen on CNN, and that's saying a lot. Thnx for reminding us yet again that you are a menace to society, & a sore loser in the grip of a dangerous fantasy that could kill us all," Midler tweeted on Friday. "Trump put #Truth in a chokehold on #CNN and squeezed for 75 minutes. Then he bludgeoned it, kicked it, slashed it, dismembered it, lynched it and left it for dead. CNN has a lot to answer for," she asserted.

Rob Reiner, another frequent Trump critic, has suggested that voting for Trump amounts to a vote for "White Christian Nationalism" and "Fascism." He has also claimed that the former president is "mentally ill."

"The choice could not be clearer. If you want White Christian Nationalism, if you want Fascism, vote for Trump. If you want Human Decency, if you want Democracy, vote for Biden. That's it, and that's all," Reiner tweeted on Friday. "There's no other way to say this: Donald Trump is a Liar, a Criminal, and is mentally ill," he tweeted on Thursday.

“The choice could not be clearer. If you want White Christian Nationalism, if you want Fascism, vote for Trump. If you want Human Decency, if you want Democracy, vote for Biden. That’s it, and that’s all.”

Reiner has previously claimed that Trump supporters are hateful, racist, misogynists.

"Donald Trumps Cult followers believe he was sent by God to make America a White Christian nation. They are blind, filled with hate, racism and misogyny. They live in a 6,000 year old world where women and minorities have no rights. They can't be reasoned with. Don't try. VOTE!!!" he tweeted last year.

Novelist Celeste Ng claims that 'women are a subset of birthing people'

As leftists continue to peddle radical gender ideology, novelist Celeste Ng has claimed that "women are a subset of birthing people."

"If you don’t like inclusive language, think of it as being respectful. You’re using the terms the other person prefers, as you would w/ a nickname. If you still don’t like THAT—well, what you’re admitting is that you don’t respect the other person. Maybe think on that," Ng tweeted on Tuesday.

In another tweet, Ng wrote, "Alternatively: women are a subset of birthing people. So ask yourself if you'd still be upset about the phrase 'women and other birthing people.' If the answer is yes, then... what you're upset about isn't the 'erasure' of the word women, it's the inclusion of other groups."

In point of fact, women are the only people who can give birth because it is biologically impossible for men to bear children. However, under the dogmas of radical leftist ideology, people can have a gender identity that differs from their biological sex, which then leads to the preposterous notion that individuals other than women can get pregnant.

While Ng is promoting the gender-bending movement, many people do not want to embrace the language being pushed by the movement's adherents.

Allie Beth Stuckey, host of BlazeTV's "Relatable," responded to Ng on Wednesday by pointing out that, "Nicknames do not require me to lie. Calling a man 'she' does."

“Nicknames do not require me to lie. Calling a man “she” does.”

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro responded to Ng by noting, "To change the definition of womanhood such that its key biological component is now supposedly held by those who are not women is indeed erasure."

Pollster Frank Luntz noted, "It's odd how progressives constantly compare GOP government to the Handmaiden's Tale – then insist on using words like 'birthing people' and 'uterus owners.'"

In a tweet on Wednesday, Ng declared, "Please know that if you comment on this thread—whether to argue against trans rights (which are human rights) or to argue w trolls/support trans rights (thank you, truly)—I won’t be reading it. But I will keep donating $1 to trans rights orgs on your behalf."

Bette Midler recently faced backlash on social media after tweeting on Monday, "WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us 'women' anymore; they call us 'birthing people' or 'menstruators', and even 'people with vaginas'! Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!"

In an apparent response to the backlash, Midler declared on Tuesday, "There was no intention of anything exclusionary or transphobic in what I said; it wasn’t about that."

Fans turn on Bette Midler when she defends women from 'inclusive' trans agenda: 'Don't let them erase you!'

Actress Bette Midler sent her woke fans into an outrage on Monday when she defended women against the onslaught of the transgender agenda that says biological men can be women.

What did Midler say?

Declaring independence from the increasingly aggressive trans agenda, Midler said that women are "being stripped" of everything that makes them unique.

"WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us 'women' anymore; they call us 'birthing people' or 'menstruators', and even 'people with vaginas'!" Midler tweeted.

"Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!" she added.

“WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us “women” anymore; they call us “birthing people” or “menstruators”, and even “people with vaginas”! Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!”
— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1656948480

Midler did not specify whom she meant by "they," but she was presumably referring to activists and organizations that demand everyone uses "inclusive" language. Such language claims that biological men can also be women and undergo the same experiences that are unique to women.

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, for example, the American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood made it clear they believe that "abortion care" is not limited to women.

What was the reaction?

Midler's tweet generated fierce backlash from people who believe she is promoting discrimination and — gasp — "transphobia."

The actress was even accused of being a "TERF," or trans-exclusionary radical feminist, a term that pro-trans advocates call women who believe that calling a biological man/transgender woman a "woman" erodes the true meaning of femininity.

 • "Bette. Don’t be a TERF. Don’t make us boycott Hocus Pocus 2," journalist Kris Vire said.
 • "SAD NEWS: Macy Gray & Bette Midler have come out as TERFs.Unfollow, un-support, and unsubscribe," journalist Ernest Owens said.
 • "F*** Bette Midler too. It’s all of us or it’s none of us. We don’t get there with transphobic nonsense," Imani Barbarin said.
 • "No one is trying to erase women with inclusive language about people who need abortion care. No one is calling you anything but what you prefer. You should extend that courtesy in return," author Roxane Gay reacted.
 • "Suddenly I don’t want Hocus Pocus 2 anymore…… Really shocked to see she has fallen into this Voldemort way of thinking," YouTuber Roly West said.
 • "Oh Christ almighty you bought this bulls***," journalist Katelyn Burns complained.
 • "Of course she's a TERF," activist Wagatwe Wanjuki said.

Transgender journalist India Willoughby even accused Midler of promoting "fascist propaganda" disseminated by foreign intelligence agencies and claimed Midler has adopted tactics used by Joseph Stalin and chief Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

Outrage erupts over Bette Midler posting 'racist' meme against Clarence Thomas: 'The racism on the left is so deeply rooted'

Actress Bette Midler is accused of posting a racist attack against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on Twitter.

The so-called "progressive" actress assailed Thomas online because she was enraged by the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Midler posted a meme that many people are calling racist. The meme featured the face of Thomas photoshopped as a mask, but underneath is his wife – Virginia "Ginni" Thomas – wearing a black robe.

— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1656847369

Twitter reactions from online commentators bashed the "Beaches" actress for her insensitive and "racist" attack on the Supreme Court justice.

Republican strategist CJ Pearson: "Let’s call this what this is: racism. And the only reason she gets away with it is because she’s a white liberal."

Radio host Darvio Morrow: "Sigh. The racism combined with ignorance, arrogance and a religious belief in their own virtue leaves me speechless. I’m out of words."

Pro-life advocate Obianuju Ekeocha: "The racism on the left is so deeply rooted that it’s terrifying."

Union University dean Hunter Baker: "The left is secure and unchallenged in its deep racism regarding any independence of mind in black men and women."

Former Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell: "Bette Midler continues to attack the black man."

Writer Jim Teacher: "Libs love any excuse to be racist."

Actor Clifton Duncan: "Black Americans, take note: The White 'Progressives' currently posing as our 'allies' are, in truth, some of the most vile racists you will ever encounter. And to think — there was a time I would have been thrilled to work with Ms. Midler."

Actor Kangmin Lee: "Clarence Thomas is single-handedly exposing the deep-seeded racism in the hearts of entitled white liberal women."

Powerlifter Marc Lobliner: "If this isn’t racist…."

Editor Chad Felix Greene: "This is who they are."

Actor Matthew Marsden: "Not all actors are like this. I promise."

Columnist T. Becket Adams: "So ... is that literal black face?"

Attorney NathanDallon shared a 1991 quote from Thomas: "'I'd grown up fearing the lynch mobs of the Ku Klux Klan; as an adult, I was starting to wonder if I'd been afraid of the wrong white people all along. My worst fears had come to pass not in Georgia but in Washington, D.C., where I was being pursued not by bigots in white robes but by left-wing zealots draped in flowing sanctimony.'"

Several people shared a Malcolm X quote: "The worst enemy that the Negro have is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love Negros and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that Negros have. If the Negro wasn’t taken, tricked or deceived by the white liberal, then Negros would get together and solve our own problems. I only cite these things to show you that in America, the history of the white liberal has been nothing but a series of trickery designed to make Negros think that the white liberal was going to solve our problems."

Midler posted another questionable meme claiming that Virginia Thomas is controlling her Supreme Court justice husband.

— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1656871140

The Hollywood celebrity also shared an illustration of Jesus Christ consoling a girl who had been raped by her uncle, but saying there was nothing he could do because Clarence Thomas makes the rules.

Last week, Midler tweeted at Ginni Thomas and wrote, "F*** ya!"

The 76-year-old actress posted another meme that called Justice Thomas an "a**hole," and saying that interracial marriage once was illegal.

She also declared the Supreme Court to be "illegitimate."

Midler has been critical of Justice Thomas since 2013.

Anti-gun leftist Bette Midler ripped as 'massively irresponsible' for telling people to 'come armed' to possible NRA convention protest

Anti-gun leftist entertainer Bette Midler took to Twitter on Wednesday and told people to "come armed" to a possible protest at the National Rife Association's convention in Houston this weekend.

Midler's suggestion came on the heels of a mass killing at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, earlier this week, and was among a flurry of tweets and replies the far-left actress and singer posted on the social media platform.

“AT THE GEORGE R BROWN CONVENTION CENTER IN HOUSTON TEXAS, THIS WEEKEND. Come armed.”
— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1653496249

While the NRA said convention attendees can carry guns, they cannot be armed inside the General Assembly Hall for Friday's Leadership Forum, as former President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak and the Secret Service is in charge at that time.

How did folks react to Midler's shoot-from-the-hip tweet?

Midler — who's been nothing if not politically and socially outspoken of late — received some backlash for telling people to "come armed" to the potential protest:

 • One commenter remarked, "19 children and 2 adults just died from gun violence yesterday, and you're cracking a joke about 'come armed'? ... at least I HOPE it's a joke."
 • "She's gonna get people killed," another user said. "Massively irresponsible."
 • "No, no, no. Don't do this. Don't go armed and don't listen to her suggestion to act like it's Jan 6. This is the wrong take," another commenter reacted.
 • "Oh my gosh, Bette. Don’t act like a Republican!!!" another user said. "It’s so unbecoming."
 • "If someone does show up and shoots at people at this convention, I hope the police arrest you for this tweet," another commenter told Midler.
 • "Calling for more gun violence at the NRA convention doesn’t help us heal over the shootings. You are calling for more innocent people to be victims," another use wrote. "This doesn’t do anything to get us united. NRA teaches how to use guns properly & store them properly."

Anything else?

Houston is bracing for a number of protests related to the NRA convention, including planned actions from Moms Demand Action, Youth for Beto, and the Houston chapter of Black Lives Matter, according to Bloomberg.

"American Pie" singer-songwriter Don McLean pulled out of a scheduled performance at the convention due to Tuesday's mass killing, USA Today said.

"In light of the recent events in Texas, I have decided it would be disrespectful and hurtful for me to perform for the NRA at their convention in Houston this week," McLean said in a statement to the paper. "I’m sure all the folks planning to attend this event are shocked and sickened by these events as well. After all, we are all Americans."

In addition, Daniel Defense — the manufacturer of the gun used in the Uvalde massacre — on Wednesday withdrew from the convention.

Bette Midler demands Tucker Carlson and Newt Gingrich be thrown in jail

Bette Midler uncorked yet another hot take that was widely panned on Twitter. Midler called for Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Newt Gingrich to be thrown in jail. The Hollywood actress also demanded that Australian-born Rupert Murdoch have his American citizenship revoked.

The "Hocus Pocus" star wrote on Twitter, "Tucker Carlson should be arrested and tried for sedition and fomenting insurrection."

Midler then lashed out at the former Republican speaker of the House, as well as the owner of News Corporation – which is the parent company of Fox News.

"Murdoch should have his citizenship revoked; the damage he continues to do to our democracy will soon become irreparable," Midler claimed on Wednesday. "Newt Gingrich should be clapped in irons for getting him past the FCC."

"Clapped in irons" is defined as "to put one in jail, often abruptly"

#tuckercarlson should be arrested and tried for sedition and fomenting insurrection. #Murdoch should have his citizenship revoked; the damage he continues to do to our democracy will soon become irreparable. #NewtGingrich should be clapped in irons for getting him past the #FCC.
— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1652890596

Last Saturday, Midler went on another tirade against Carlson and Murdoch – where she insinuated Murdoch was a dictator.

Midler shared an infographic that showed the billionaires who own large media companies. While Midler's rant was about Murdoch, the infographic and corresponding BBC article published in 2018 did not mention the Fox News tycoon at all.

"Sadly, this list leaves off the most vicious, the ugliest, the most hate-filled owner of all, Rupert Murdoch, Tucker Carlson’s master, who has ruined political discourse all around the world," Midler said, then added the uncredited quote, "'Own the press & 1/2 the work of. dictatorship is done.'"

The actress asked, "We will survive Murdoch?"

The infographic and article highlight billionaires who purchased giant news websites and newspapers for tens of millions of dollars. Murdoch created the Fox News Channel, which launched in 1996.

Midler has tweeted about Murdoch and Carlson nearly 30 times.

Earlier this month, the New York Times ran several hit pieces on Carlson – which the Fox News star laughed off.

In another tweet posted on Wednesday, the 76-year-old actress took a famous phrase from the United States Declaration of Independence and attempted to make a hyperbolic connection to the Buffalo supermarket shooting.

"We have 'unalienable rights?' 'Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness?' How are citizens supposed to believe in these sacred principles if they are getting slaughtered every time they go to the store? If a government can’t deliver on this foundational promise, it’s worthless," Midler ranted.

It was only a week ago that Midler angered many online with an insensitive tweet regarding the nationwide baby formula shortage.

Midler spouted, "TRY BREASTFEEEDING! It’s free and available on demand.”

Even her own followers asked the actress to delete the tweet for being compassionless and uninformed.

Carlson ripped Midler as an "elderly, out-of-touch, rich, liberal lady" for her opinion regarding the baby formula shortage during a "Tucker Carlson Tonight" monologue last week.

"So here you have an elderly, out-of-touch, rich, liberal lady lecturing struggling American moms to shut up and suffer in silence and, by the way, make your baby shut up, too," Carlson said of Midler. "Now, if you can think of a more perfect distillation of modern politics of the left circa 2022 than that, send us an email and let us know what it is, because we've never seen anything that perfect."

Bette Midler gets slapped with vicious backlash after offering ignorant solution to baby formula crisis

Celebrity and entertainer Bette Midler was obliterated on social media after offering an astoundingly ignorant solution to the baby formula crisis.

Families across the nation are panicked over a shortage of baby formula that has mothers driving large distances in hopes of finding dwindling supplies of formula.

Rather than offer sympathy to moms who are struggling to feed their babies, Midler responded with a "solution" in all-caps that infuriated many.

"TRY BREASTFEEEDING! It’s free and available on demand," she responded simply.

Many on social media excoriated Midler's tweet but some simply offered their heartbreaking stories undermining her point.

"I love you Bette, but this is not okay. I fought to breastfeed my son, he kept losing weight, despite my best efforts, including lactation experts. It was emotional and I felt like a failure and at 3 months switched to formula, because of the stress it put on me and my son," read one response with more than 3k likes.

"Bette, respectfully, this is a very bad take. I had twins. I didn’t produce enough milk for both. Without formula, I would have had to have chosen which one got to eat. To say nothing of kids that get separated from the birth mothers very young," read another with more than 8k likes.

"For the love of God, delete this tweet. Many women cannot breastfeed their babies for a number of health-related reasons. Public shaming is the last thing they need," read another reply.

"There are women who cannot produce enough milk to feed their babies. There are same sex couples who need formula because they do not produce milk. There are adoptive parents who cannot produce milk on demand. I'm happy to educate you. You're welcome," said another critic.

Midler responded to the rancor later, but it wasn't much better than the original tweet.

"People are piling on because of former tweet. No shame if you can’t breastfeed, but if you can & are somehow convinced that your own milk isn’t as good as a 'scientifically researched product', that’s something else again. The monopoly news is news to me, tho, no lie," she tweeted.

In February, the FDA recalled formula products from a Michigan facility run by Abbott Nutrition, the producer of the vast majority of baby formula. Abbott said it would take months before supplies return to normal after reopening the facility.

Critics have pointed out that tariffs and other government regulations have prevented the free market from rushing to fill the shortage from other sources.

Mouthy leftist Bette Midler actually claims Planned Parenthood 'isn't killing children,' chalks up their deaths to the NRA — and gets bashed for it

Bette Midler — the outspoken left-wing activist who's also known for singing and acting — posted a tweet over the weekend actually claiming Planned Parenthood "isn't killing children" and that the National Rifle Association really is to blame for their deaths:

pic.twitter.com/JsigC6xdys
— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1652025905

“Planned Parenthood isn’t killing children,” Midler's tweeted meme states. “You’re thinking of the NRA.”

Say what?

The Daily Wire pointed out that while the NRA supports legal and responsible gun ownership and provides firearms training, it doesn't sell guns or ammunition.

But according to Planned Parenthood's most recently available stats, the organization performed 354,871 abortions in its 2019-2020 fiscal year — and a number of commenters on Midler's tweet argued in that spirit, saying Planned Parenthood certainly does kill children.

 • "Funny, I haven’t killed anyone, and I’m a lifelong NRA member. I also don’t know anyone who owns a firearm, that has killed a child with said firearm. However, I can name several acquaintances who have had abortions — some multiple abortions," one commenter replied.
 • "Planned Parenthood was designed to eradicate the black children in the U.S. by Margaret Sanger. It is still going on today. 79% of Planned Parenthood offices are in poor neighborhoods," another user told Midler. "What does that tell you?"
 • "So why is it considered double homicide to kill a pregnant woman? If it's not 'killing a baby'? And NRA isn't killing people. People are killing people. With knives, swords, guns, blunt objects, cars, hands, etc.," another commenter pointed out.
 • "Planned Parenthood has been murdering babies for decades...that's their main purpose for existing...taxpayers should not have to pay for other people's abortions...you fund them..please post examples of the NRA killing babies...you liberal lunatic..." another user wrote.

And then there was this comeback:

Hooray, there's more!

Midler's tweet was far from her only social media activity in the wake of last week's news of a leaked draft decision from the Supreme Court that would overturn Roe v. Wade, which made abortion legal across the country in 1973:

#SCOTUS has revealed itself to be just another political tool, as the three new unabashedly biased conservatives plus the old push the court to undermine women’s rights. Shameful. They will never recover from this; it’s right up there with #DredScott and #PlessyVFerguson.

— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1651812689

She just can't keep that thing buttoned, can she?

This wouldn't be the first time Midler opened her mouth a tad too wide:

 • Last December she apologized after describing West Virginia as "poor, illiterate and strung out."
 • Last summer she proposed a sex strike to fight Texas' abortion law but got torn to shreds by both sides of the political aisle.
 • In May 2021, Midler got smacked down after comparing unvaccinated children attending in-person school to bringing peanut products to classrooms despite the danger to children with peanut allergies: "If my kid can't bring peanut butter to school then yours can't bring the deathly plague. Vaccinate or I'm bringing the Jiffy."
 • In August 2020, she kinda-sorta apologized after a deluge of criticism for calling then-first lady Melania Trump an "illegal alien" during the Republican National Convention and saying, "Oh, God. She still can't speak English."

Bette Midler says Trump should be arrested for attempted murder of Joe Biden over claim from his former staffer

Liberal Hollywood actress Bette Midler called for former President Donald Trump to be arrested for the attempted murder of President Joe Biden — based on the claim of a former staffer.

The actress was reacting to a report that Trump had tested positive for the coronavirus before acknowledging it publicly, and he reportedly went to a debate with Biden while infected with the virus.

The claim was made in a memoir by Mark Meadows, who worked as the White House chief of staff under Trump.

Midler took to Twitter to excoriate the former president.

"WOW. That rat bastard knew he had Covid on Sept 26, but went on w/his schedule unmasked, exposing everyone at the Barrett ceremony; let’s not even mention his saliva spewing at Biden during the debate! What a pig! He’d sell smallpox infected blankets to soldiers. He’s that guy," she tweeted.

"#DonaldTrump should be arrested for attempted murder. He tried to infect & kill #JoeBiden at the debate; by turning up too late to be tested, knowing full well he was positive; then screeched, sputtered, spit, and foamed at the mouth, hoping to infect Joe," Midler she added.

#DonaldTrump should be arrested for attempted murder. He tried to infect & kill #JoeBiden at the debate; by turning up too late to be tested, knowing full well he was positive; then screeched, sputtered, spit, and foamed at the mouth, hoping to infect Joe. He IS the devil.
— bettemidler (@bettemidler) 1638516054

"He IS the devil," she concluded.

While Midler's tweets received a lot of support with more than 44,000 likes between the pair of them, others immediately criticized her for the alarmist overreaction.

"Call the men in the white coats to come get her," read one tweet.

Midler has been a vocal critic of conservatives. In November, she faced a torrent of backlash for accusing Republicans of holding back progress for the sake of enriching the wealthy.

Leftist Bette Midler blasted for posting 'White Rage Has Always Gotten a Free Pass' political cartoon likening Tulsa race massacre to Jan. 6 Capitol riot

After her tweet last month threatening to expose allergic school children to peanuts unless they get vaccinated, entertainer Bette Midler continued her streak of venting outrageous, left-wing vitriol by posting Tuesday a "White Rage Has Always Gotten a Free Pass" political cartoon likening the 1921 Tulsa race massacre to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot:

https://t.co/KLRZIbBo1f

— bettemidler (@BetteMidler) 1622591827.0

To say Midler received some backlash for it is an understatement.

How did folks respond?

Being a left-wing high priestess, Midler certainly has her fans, and her tweet has received nearly 11,000 likes.

But others were decidedly disgusted by the cartoon's comparison and informed Midler of their sentiments in no uncertain terms — such as Denver radio talk show host Ross Kaminsky, who called Midler "remarkably moronic."

Others reacted similarly:

 • "There was no smoke over the Capitol on 1/6," one commenter told Midler. "That was your bong."
 • "You're are either deliberately lying, or you are just a brainwashed cult member...both are a terrible look," another commenter said.
 • "That's some convenient selective memory you've got there," one user pointed out to Midler.
 • "So everyone actually being arrested and investigated for what happened on Jan. 6th is just a free pass?" another user wondered. "How does that line up with all the protesters in Portland getting released without prosecution no matter how many times they try to burn down a building with people in it."
