Are attacks against free speech meant to protect US— or the new woke 'religion'?

The New York Times recently published an op-ed titled “The First Amendment is Out of Control.”

The author, law professor Tim Wu, argues in the piece that free speech arguments are now used to protect corporate interests and harm everyday citizens.

Discussing the regulation of the internet, Wu writes, “Such regulation is not always perfect to be sure, but it represents a legitimate tool with which Democratic governments can stand up to private power.”

“The next phase in this struggle will presumably concern the regulation of artificial intelligence. I fear the First Amendment will be extended to protect machine speech at considerable human cost,” he continues.

“I one-hundred-percent agree with that,” Glenn Beck comments. “It’s something I’ve been warning about for about three decades.”

However, Wu then begins to steer into dangerous territory.

“Free speech rights have been hijacked to suppress the sovereignty of humans in favor of the power of companies and machines,” he continues.

“No, there’s a difference between individuals and the government and regulations and suggestions,” Glenn disagrees. “You want to regulate, okay, regulate. And let’s have that not go through the administrative state; let’s have that go through Congress. Let’s have that debate.”

“I think the right of the individual is what will win in that,” he adds, noting that Wu isn’t fully grasping what the First Amendment truly is.

“You can speak your mind without fear of censorship or persecution,” Glenn explains. “Now, that doesn’t make you popular, but it does mean that the government and those powerful institutions can do nothing against you, to stop you.”

“Would you like it if a church all of a sudden was in charge and said you can’t say these things? I mean, how many people on the left believe in burning the flag? You have a right to do that,” he continues.

However, the current powers are already behaving more like a church than a government. Most recently, teens and young adults have been getting charged with felonies for something as harmless as leaving skid marks on rainbow crosswalks.

“What is that other than a religion?” Glenn asks.

Evidence reveals Biden may be using taxpayer dollars to elect Democrats

Toward the beginning of his presidency, Biden issued an executive order to “promote and defend the right to vote.”

Biden directed every agency in the federal government to participate, telling federal agencies they were to somehow look into voter registration, expand vote by mail, and use approved third-party organizations to help them get it all done.

“We don’t know who those organizations are; we don’t know all of the details because they are stonewalling Congress,” Glenn Beck explains, noting that what a “third-party organization” meant in 2020 was “partisan with strings attached.”

Biden has still not let Congress know exactly what the executive order is meant to do — and in the weeks leading up to the midterms, had his DOJ stonewall FOIA requests.

The Foundation for Government Accountability reportedly called the executive order an “unconstitutional taxpayer funded get out the vote effort designed to benefit the president’s political party.”

“So, it’s Zuck-bucks on government-funded steroids,” Glenn says.

An email revealed by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project proves this, showing a collaboration between an approved third party and the Department of Agriculture.

“The Department of Agriculture, of all agencies, had enlisted the support of this approved third party to get their info at state level on voter registration data,” Glenn says, before reading a line from the third party, Demos, website.

“They are quote ‘working to build a just, inclusive, multi-racial democracy,’” Glenn reads, continuing, “Demos has worked at the intersection of democracy reform, economic justice, and racial justice. Demos has moved progressive issues from the movement to the mainstream, such as debt-free college.”

“This is our election partner,” Glenn says, shocked. “Does that sound non-partisan?”

Biden just promised never to let an election be stolen 'AGAIN' — so which election was stolen?

For nearly two years now, we've been told that people who question our election integrity are a "threat to our democracy" and anyone who says otherwise is just leading the American people "down this path of lies." It was strange then, that President Joe Biden told a group of rallygoers in Maryland on Thursday that Democrats have plans to "make sure no one, no one, ever has the opportunity to steal an election again." [Emphasis added.]

"If we elect two more senators, we keep the House and Democrats, we’re going to get a lot of unfinished business we’re going to get done. Folks, look, we’ll codify Roe v. Wade. We’ll ban, we’ll ban assault weapons. We’ll protect Social Security and Medicare. We’ll pass universal pre-K. We’ll restore the Childcare Tax Credit. We’ll protect voting rights. We’ll pass election reform and make sure no one, no one, ever has the opportunity to steal an election again!" Biden declared.

After Breaking911 posted a clip highlighting Biden's promise to ban "assault weapons," a few people on Twitter noticed something strange about the last word of that last sentence.

Rep. Ilhan Omar promises progressive mobilization if Joe Biden is elected

In a recent interview with Axios, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) made clear what her and other members of "The Squad" have planned for the next four years should Democratic nominee Joe Biden win the presidency on Nov. 3 — a progressive mobilization.

What did she say?

"We will have a cohort of progressives that are very clear about their objectives for wanting the implementation of Medicare for All and a Green New Deal and raising the minimum wage and not allowing for fracking," vowed the progressive lawmaker, who supported democratic-socialist candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the party's primary.

She noted that while Biden has been generally supportive of many of the far-left's demands during his campaign, "in some spaces, it doesn't go as far as [she] would like or Bernie [Sanders] would like."

The former vice president notably signed off on the "Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force Recommendations," a shared policy document that detailed policy initiatives for a wide range of issues, including climate change, health care, criminal justice, and education. The collaboration has earned the praise of Sanders, who remarkably predicted that Biden will be "the most progressive president since FDR."

But should he revert to more moderately Democratic governance, Omar said it would be "a signal for us to do what we know how to do best as progressives, which is to push and to mobilize our base trying to accomplish these policy objectives."

"As progressives, we have a clear understanding of what the inside and outside game is," she added, even dropping a subtle threat into the interview: "The president is only as successful as his collaboration is with Congress."

Just as well, mere policy change — including the implementation of Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and a national $15 minimum wage — is not the only initiative progressives will be pushing for, according to Omar. They also allegedly plan to push for the inclusion of progressive personnel in the Cabinet.

"I would say all of the Cabinet positions should be filled by progressive Democrats," she said laughing. Last week, news broke that Sanders was gunning for Biden's Labor Secretary post.

While she more than likely doesn't actually expect an entirely progressive Biden Cabinet, Omar made sure to remark that the inclusion of Republicans in the Cabinet would be unacceptable.

Anything else?

Omar's insistence on pushing Biden to the left followed similar comments from fellow "Squad" member, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Sunday.

During an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper, Ocasio-Cortez said, "Frankly, I think it would be a privilege and it would be a luxury for us to be talking about what we would lobby the next Democratic — and how we will push the next Democratic administration. But, in terms of my role, I believe that that has been my role.

"And my role is consistent, in making sure that we push the Democratic Party to have a larger vision for our future," she continued. "And, so, is my job to push the Democratic Party? Absolutely. And that has been my job since and that has been a part of my role since I have been elected."
