Al Sharpton demands Trump 'deliver for black America' with admin positions

Left-wing activist Al Sharpton issued a sharp rebuke of President-elect Donald Trump over his Cabinet and administration nominations and demanded he "deliver" for black America.

Sharpton issued a statement Tuesday after Trump made several nominations to his Cabinet and other administration positions.

'The president-elect needs to put his money where his mouth is if he actually wants to deliver for Black America.'

“In the two weeks since Donald Trump was elected to a second term, he has put forth a dozen troubling nominees, yet the most alarming factor in his proposed cabinet is that not a single candidate is Black,” wrote Sharpton.

He went on to point out the Trump campaign focused on garnering the vote of blacks, especially males, in the presidential election. He also criticized the controversial nomination of Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz (R) as U.S. attorney general.

“Trump spent this campaign selling himself to Black voters, especially men, by peddling sneakers and implying his criminal convictions would resonate with our community. Instead of meeting the demands of more Black voters who supported him, Donald Trump has proposed an Attorney General nominee wrapped up in an ethics probe over trafficking allegations and a Health Secretary whose views on vaccines and other safeguards could devastate our community."

Sharpton then mocked Trump for comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln.

"Right now, it appears that the self-proclaimed ‘best president for Black America since Abraham Lincoln’ has lost interest in us," he concluded. "The president-elect needs to put his money where his mouth is if he actually wants to deliver for Black America.”

Some Republican members of Congress have publicly opined that Gaetz has zero chance of being approved for attorney general, but others are convinced the nomination is pivotal for the success of the incoming Trump administration.

Sharpton has faced criticism after the Harris-Walz campaign divulged in finance records that it had given his nonprofit organization half a million dollars prior to a softball interview between Harris and the activist. Sharpton was paid $650,00 by the nonprofit in 2021.

50 Cent: Black men are 'identifying with Trump'

While most celebrities bend over backwards to hit the right woke talking points when cameras are around, 50 Cent, who's real name is Curtis Jackson, isn't one of them.

Alongside civil rights attorney Ben Crump, 50 Cent visited Capitol Hill this week to meet with Republican and Democrat lawmakers.

While there, 50 Cent was confronted by a CBS reporter.

“We’re heading into another election, so have you made a decision?” the reporter asked the famed rapper.

“I’m not sure how to answer that, that question, to be honest with you,” 50 Cent responded, before telling her he hasn’t made a decision. “What do you see is the significance of African American men in this election?” the reporter then asked.

“I see them identifying with Trump,” he answered.

When asked why he believes that, 50 Cent said, “Because they got RICO charges.”

Dave Rubin knows exactly why 50 Cent believes black men will identify with the former president.

“The system is going after black people, or has been going after black people in a bit of an odd way over the years, and now we see them doing that to Trump,” Rubin says, explaining 50 Cent’s point of view.

“So, Trump is our guy,” he adds.

Jason Whitlock on why working-class black men plan to vote for Donald Trump

Fani Willis and the Democrat Party might have thought Donald Trump's mug shot would portray him as a villain to voters — but they couldn’t have been more wrong.

“The backlash of martyring Donald Trump: it’s a real thing,” says Jason Whitlock of "Fearless."

“The former president’s mug shot from a Fulton County jail has given black men the space to abandon the cosplay of painting Trump as the second coming of Adolf Hitler,” he adds.

It seems that Whitlock is right.

Derrick Gibson, a black man and former New York State gubernatorial candidate, has gone viral for declaring himself the leader of the “N****s 4 Trump 2024” movement. The viral video has been circulating on social media and shows Gibson wearing a shirt that reflects that sentiment outside the Fulton County jail the day Trump was arrested.

“I’m here to support president Trump,” Gibson is seen telling the camera, adding that the government has historically made up charges and locked black men up “for decades.”

“So I know Trump is innocent. I support Trump against this corrupt two-tier justice system, that’s why I’m here, to show my support as a black man for Trump,” Gibson explained.

Despite not agreeing with the vulgarity Gibson’s shirt reflects, Whitlock believes he “captures the sentiment of working-class black men.”

However, Whitlock believes it won’t just resonate with black Americans, but all Americans.

“Americans love to rebel. It’s in our blood. This Trump-led rebellion will only grow stronger. I say that because Trump isn’t really leading this rebellion; he’s just the avatar, the symbol,” he says.

Gibson even had a message for Fani Willis, who he claims went to school with his sister.

“She’s full of s**t,” he says. “She’s a puppet for the white liberal that is controlling everything. She’s in front, but the white liberal back there pulling those strings, telling her what to do.”

When a reporter asked Gibson if he thought this would help Trump’s election, he responded, “Of course it is, it’s going to elevate him all the way.”

“I think we should make Trump king, that’s how I feel,” he added.
