Review: How woke is the new 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'?

“Mr. and Mrs. Smith” is the legendary film from 2005 that featured Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — but now it’s getting an entirely new look.

The characters have returned for an Amazon Prime show, featuring characters that look nothing like their old ones: Donald Glover in Brad Pitt’s place and Maya Erskine in Angelina Jolie’s place.

The show has gotten decent reviews, but Lauren Chen couldn’t help but wonder if the series was going to replicate what much of Hollywood does these days: spin an old, enjoyable story into pure, leftwing propaganda.

Chen was surprised by what she found, which begins with “a really cool premise.”

“I’m on board with the concept. It’s neat, it’s unique,” she says, as it’s different from the “Brangelina” film. “But, I really take issue here with them calling the show ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith.’”

“If you’re going to do a totally different premise, a totally different concept, then go with totally different branding. Stop trying to capitalize off older franchises even though you just want to do your own thing,” Chen says.

As for whether or not the show is woke, Chen doesn’t think so.

“I wouldn’t call this woke. Aside from you know, the diversity casting, which obviously did happen,” she says, adding, “but, overall, no, the show is not about deconstructing whiteness or hating on men or anything like that.”

Hilarious: Did John Kerry just unleash his own 'toxic wind' at the annual climate summit?

John Kerry, who Sara Gonzales calls “Joe Biden’s climate czar,” just made a fool out of himself again, but this time, it wasn’t due to his senseless climate fearmongering.

Over the weekend, over 70,000 delegates, including heads of state, politicians, and campaigners, met in Dubai for the annual United Nations Climate Change conference. John Kerry was one of those in attendance.

During his lecture on emissions, many speculate they heard Kerry fart.

Sara plays the clip of the moment the incident occurred.

“Avoiding responsibility for taking away those things that are killing people on a daily basis ...” Kerry said before a highly suspicious noise emanated from his direction.

“He definitely farted,” laughs Sara.

“I mean, somebody farted,” adds Stu Burguiere.

“Do you remember the cow flatulence tax?” asks Jaco Booyens, referencing New Zealand’s proposition to tax farmers based on the emissions of their herds, which became known as the “fart tax.”

“Tax [Kerry],” he jokes.

“If he really cared about climate change, he would hold it in; that’s all I’m saying,” says Sara.

To see the cringe-worthy moment John Kerry emits his own toxic emissions, watch the clip below.

What’s ACTUALLY killing Disney? Film producer weighs in

For many, many years, Disney was America’s favorite family entertainment conglomerate. But the tides seem to be turning. More and more people across the country are abandoning Disney, leaving the company in a massive revenue deficit.

What exactly is causing Disney to decline? Is it progressive films (aka box office flops), the threat of AI, or a combination of the two?

American actor and film producer Matthew Marsden joins James Poulos on "Zero Hour" to discuss what’s going on.

Disney has “absolutely destroyed what made that brand brilliant,” says Marsden. “You’re seeing it now with the woke ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.”’

For those who don’t know, this progressive "Snow White" remake will feature no prince and no dwarves because apparently those two things are offensive, and a Latina actress will star in the role of Snow White because whiteness, as we’ve been told, needs to be done away with.

“If you have an established IP … even though it's made millions of dollars [and] it's been hugely successful, some screenwriter comes along and he goes, ‘Do you know what, I can improve that,’ and they change it,” says Marsden.

Which is exactly what they’re doing with "Snow White." Despite the fact that the original is a beloved classic, the screenwriters and producers are turning the script upside down to create what will inevitably become yet another woke disaster.

“Just make the movie of the book,” pleads Marsden. “It's sold X amount of a million copies; people want to see it up on screen … it's really simple.”

“When you see that happen, they're always successful for the most part,” he continues.

“Tech is part of the problem here too,” adds James, because many screenwriters wrongly assume that putting “CGI in every scene” means “people will get it and they'll watch it because it's got technology in it … and that doesn’t work.”

“So if that doesn’t work, and woke-ifying things doesn’t work, then you’ve got stagnation,” he continues.

Based on Disney’s profit margins, it certainly seems like the company is in a state of stagnation.

Hang on ... did AOC just repeat HAMAS talking points?!

AOC may have a lot of opinions regarding Hamas’ invasion of Israel, but that doesn’t mean she has any idea what she’s talking about.

In an old “Firing Line” interview on PBS with Margaret Hoover, AOC made this crystal clear.

AOC told Hoover that “what people are starting to see at least in the occupation of Palestine, is just an increasing crisis of humanitarian condition.”

Hoover asked her to clarify what she meant by the “occupation of Palestine.”

AOC’s answer was a jumbled mess.

“I think what I meant is, like, the settlements that are increasing in some of these areas and places where, um, where Palestinians are experiencing difficulty in access to their housing and homes,” she said.

When Hoover then asked her to expand on that, AOC replied, “I am not the expert on geopolitics.”

Dave Rubin is horrified that this woman has a place in Congress.

“She has no idea what she’s talking about. It is profoundly obvious,” Rubin says, adding, “The fact that this woman is in Congress ... The woman is a complete and utter buffoon.”

Megyn Kelley EXPOSES a major journalist who is SUPPORTING Hamas terror

The list of atrocities being perpetrated by Hamas are endless, and yet so is the number of people on the left who support them.

“The women, the babies, they are being murdered. They are being beheaded. The elderly ladies sitting and waiting for the bus are being shot multiple times by machine guns, and they’re posting the pictures online,” Megyn Kelly says in disbelief.

According to Kelly, while these horrifying images are circulating, there are Washington Post journalists liking tweets that say things like: “What did you think decolonization meant? Did you think it meant vibes? Losers.”

“That happened,” Kelly says, disgusted. “Her name is Karen Attia. She writes for the Washington Post.”

The post itself was written by Najmia Sharif, a self-described “Somali savant from Minnesota.” Her X account has now been set to private.

“I like to remind myself,” she continues, “that my adversaries on policy or ideologically are not necessarily evil,” however supporting the murder of women and children is evil. “That was a bridge too far for me.”

Kelly is shocked that these leftists can’t see Israeli citizens as people.

“It’s not even about exactly the Jewish thing. It’s about the humanity thing,” Kelly says, “where is your humanity?”

Dave Rubin agrees before asking Kelly what we should do about the “Hamas caucus,” aka members of “The Squad,” who Rubin believes, along with other detractors of Israel, are weaponizing free speech in a terrible way.

“If you constantly defend people who are calling for genocide and murder and beheading babies and everything else and always excusing it,” Rubin says, “I think we’re veering into something else.”

Kelly thinks it’s actually a good thing.

“It’s kind of good to see them posting these statements and really taking away all doubt. It’s wonderful actually, now we’ll always have these statements, so we can always dismiss all of their arguments because we understand that these are vile people,” she says.

Did Biden finally get something right? Here's how the US is responding to Hamas' invasion

Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel that killed over 900 citizens. Now Israel is gearing up for war.

The country has amassed 100,000 troops as well as a number of tanks on the border of Gaza and has mobilized a total of 360,000 reservists.

Now, global leaders are responding.

President Joe Biden has announced that “we stand with Israel” and has vowed the United States' support in the face of the vicious attacks.

“Now, we all know Biden is one of the worst presidents of all time. He is probably the worst foreign policy president of all time,” Stu says. But despite this being an undeniable fact, Stu admits that Biden and some other Democrats are “somewhat sane on Israel.”

Zelenskyy, on the other hand, is less so. The president of Ukraine has come out and compared the assault by Hamas on Israel to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

Stu Burguiere thinks this probably wasn’t the best time to pull this, noting that “especially on the right right now, no one wants to hear a word, one, about Ukraine or certainly Zelenskyy.”

“Everyone’s tired of it,” he adds.

Not only is everyone tired of it, but Israel is a much closer ally of the United States than Ukraine is.

“You can empathize with citizens in Israel and Ukraine and at the same time oppose Ukraine funding,” Stu says, adding, “but, of course, they’re trying to tie all these things together because that’s what they do.”

When it comes down to what Israel should do in this situation, Benjamin Netanyahu has an answer.

“Hamas will understand that by attacking us, they’ve made a mistake of historic proportions. We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel’s other enemies for decades to come,” Netanyahu said in a statement.

“I hope it isn’t remembered by them for decades to come, honestly, because I want them to not be around to remember,” Stu comments.

“They need to be annihilated.”

Former MLB broadcaster claims he was BLACKLISTED for being a 'white, male Republican'

Being a white, male conservative today is equivalent to putting a giant “kick me” sign on your back, or at least that’s been Ryan Spaeder’s experience.

Spaeder has a long list of career achievements. Perhaps most notable are his contributions to Major League Baseball, specifically as a broadcaster and as a writer.

However, despite his dedication to the sport, he claims he’s “been blackballed by Major League Baseball” due to his gender, race, and political views.

“I am not welcome any more,” he tells Stu Burguiere.

Despite his ousting, Spaeder refuses to conform for the sake of acceptance.

“I’m not going to bend the knee; it’s not me,” he says.

But his courage has not been without cost.

“I have 62,000 followers, [but] it's probably cost me double that. It’s cost me jobs. I got fired by the Athletic before I even started there,” he says.

“Because of your political views?” Stu asks.

“That’s my perception,” says Spaeder, but “of course, they said, ‘it's because we overestimated our need for help,’ but then they went and hired somebody else.”

Major League Baseball “is a foundational part of American culture. They should be accepting of people on the right [and] people on the left. … Politics shouldn't invade baseball, but we've turned that completely upside down, I think to the sport's detriment and certainly to the country’s detriment,” says Stu.

Will Biden’s latest gaffe cost Americans $40 billion?

Biden’s supporters may claim his age isn’t affecting the country, but his gaffes are clearly starting to get worse.

In his latest speech with the Cook Islands leader, Biden not only promised $40 billion to the Pacific Islands but botched the Pacific Islands acronym and then went on a rant that he and the prime minister of the Cook Islands, Mark Brown, are both from Baltimore.

“And that’s why the United States is formally establishing diplomatic relations with the Cook Islands. The real reason is we’re both from Baltimore, that’s a long story,” Biden said in his speech.

Unfortunately, no one is surprised.

“Yeah, it’s a long story in that it’s not true,” Pat Gray says, unfazed. “He’s not from Baltimore, and neither is the prime minister of the Cook Islands.”

“It’s complicated,” Gray says, mocking the president. “Yeah, and the complication is that neither one of you have anything to do with Baltimore and yet you said you were both from there. That does complicate it, doesn’t it?”

Biden also announced to the world that America is giving $40 billion to the Pacific Islands, which is completely untrue. Or at least it better not be true.

“So, today, I’m pleased to announce we’re working with Congress to invest $40 billion in our Pacific Islands Infrastructure Initiative. We call it the PG — PI — anyway, it doesn’t matter what we call it, but that’s what it is,” Biden said.

The actual number is $40 million.

“He can’t get numbers right, no matter what. It’s right there in front of his stupid face; he still can’t get it,” Gray says.

Is AI ACTUALLY going to prevent your kids from getting jobs someday? Here are some things to consider.

Artificial intelligence is all the rage these days. It’s already snaked its way into countless occupations, and it’s projected to be the most profitable industry in the days to come.

Many parents are concerned that when it comes time for their children to get jobs someday, there will be a shortage of opportunities because AI will be dominating the workforce.

While these fears are totally legitimate, Sara Gonzales has some words of comfort.

“There is a lot of work that is immune, particularly jobs that would come through trade schools … mechanics, physical labor-type jobs,” she says.

“Is AI gonna sell you on something? No, you're gonna need a person-to-person interaction; you're gonna need some human conversation,” she assures.

Further, now that colleges have essentially become “indoctrination centers,” kids “might not necessarily need that education to be able to…learn a trade and do good work and make good money,” says Sara.

We also have to remember that “there's going to be a lot of giant holes in AI.” As with any technology, there will be glitches, bugs, and deficiencies in AI that require humans to step in. Certainly there will be a plethora of careers dedicated to this alone.

But that doesn’t mean it’s not frightening to consider what the world will look like as AI continues to advance.

As an artist, Eric July feels the threat of AI deeply, as art is the “industry [AI] is impacting the most,” he says.

“I don't think as it grows there will be an industry that it doesn't at least touch,” he says, “but that's when … people need to get creative about showing how valuable they actually are.”

“Anything where you are creating something or adding value, you'll be fine,” adds contributor John Doyle.

So there you have it. Is AI going to impact the workforce? Absolutely. Does that mean there will be no job opportunities? Highly unlikely.

The truth is technology can be incredibly efficient and convenient, but it will never equate to the value of a human being. And in a world centered around human beings, the need for human touch will always be necessary.
