Caitlyn Jenner suggests run for California governor, says of possible Harris challenge: 'I would destroy her'

Republican Caitlyn Jenner reacted positively to suggestions on social media the transgender activist run for governor of California.

Jenner said that a run for governor might be in the cards after President-elect Donald Trump was able to push nearly every county to the right, including many in California. The activist previously ran for governor of California in a recall election in 2021 but garnered only 1% of the vote.

'MAKE CA GREAT AGAIN!'

"Should we do it again? Have been getting a lot of calls with a lot of strong opinions," Jenner posted on social media.

"Newscum is out in 2026," Jenner added, referring to current Gov. Gavin Newsom, who will be term-limited out of office.

"The MAGA / America First movements are not nearly as bigoted as the intolerant left. If I were to run it would be proudly as a Republican. We are the big tent party and movement of common sense, for ALL!" read a second tweet from Jenner.

Jenner also addressed the possibility being floated that Vice President Kamala Harris might run for California governor after her disastrous presidential campaign. A Politico report said Harris told allies and aides to prepare while she contemplated another campaign.

"If I ran, and it was ultimately against Harris, I would destroy her," Jenner posted.

Caitlyn Jenner was born Bruce Jenner and had been celebrated as a national hero after winning the gold medal in the decathlon in the 1976 Olympics. In 2015, Jenner stunned the world by identifying as a woman and asking to be called Caitlyn.

Jenner has been excoriated by the transgender lobby for continuing to identify as a Republican and defending President-elect Donald Trump.

"MAKE CA GREAT AGAIN!" Jenner posted.

Caitlyn Jenner releases first ad in seeking to recall Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom: Set to fight against ‘elitist’ politicians

Caitlyn Jenner says she is poised to fight "elitist" politicians such as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a bid to return California to its former glory.

What are the details?

In her first ad seeking to run against Newsome in a recall election, Jenner — former male Olympic decathlete Bruce Jenner and reality TV star who is now running for California governor — insists that she is a "compassionate disrupter" who vows to fight against "elitist" career politicians.

In a Tuesday campaign ad, Jenner, 71, describes the American Dream as having begun in California.

"The American Dream grew up here, yet career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream," Jenner says in the video ad that features footage of various California scenes ranging from farm to city.

She continues, "I came here with a dream 48 years ago to be the greatest athlete in the world. Now I enter a different kind of race, arguably my most important one yet: to save California."

Jenner's ad focuses on the strife facing Californians including homelessness, drug addiction, and an economy devastated by COVID-19-related business closures.

Big government, she says, has "taken our money, our jobs, and our freedom."

"I want to carry the torch for the parents who had to balance work and their child's education, for business owners who are forced to shut down, for pastors who are not able to be with their congregation, for the family who lost their home in a fire, for an entire generation of students who lost a year of education," Jenner adds.

Elsewhere in the ad, Jenner refers to middle-class Californians as "warriors, kings, and angels" of the pandemic and promises to reopen schools, businesses, and churches without any restrictions at all.

Though Jenner doesn't specifically call out Newsom or Pelosi by name, the ad features photos of what the ad appears to highlight as the Democratic lawmakers' hypocrisy in mandating economic shutdowns while flouting their own calls for business closures, social distancing measures, and mask mandates.

"This past year has redefined our career politicians as elitists," Jenner adds. "California is facing big hurdles. Now, we need leaders who are unafraid to leap to new heights, who are unafraid to challenge and to change the status quo."

She concludes, "California, it's time to reopen our schools, reopen our businesses, reopen the golden gates, so I don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat — I'm ready to be governor for all Californians. To reclaim our true identity. To bring back the gold to the Golden State. Now is the time to achieve that summit. To be the shining city on the hill. Together we will restore and renew the California dream."

Jenner is set to appear on Fox News' "Hannity" Wednesday night.

Leftists MELT DOWN over Caitlyn Jenner’s GOP candidacy: 'Running as a Trump Republican & entering a world that hates you'

The less-than-favorable reaction to Caitlyn Jenner's bid for governor of California as a Republican has shown that leftists and so-called "transgender rights activist" care more about political party than actual transgender rights. Despite the fact that if she wins, Jenner would be the first trans governor in our nation's history — and prove that Republicans aren't 'transphobic' — Leftist activists would rather back Gavin Newsom — a cisgender, white male.

"Make no mistake: we can't wait to elect a #trans governor of California. But @Caitlyn_Jenner spent years telling the #LGBTQ+ community to trust Donald Trump. We saw how that turned out. Now she wants us to trust her? Hard pass," tweeted Equality California, one of the state's largest LGBTQ-rights groups.

"With all due respect, @Caitlyn_Jenner, you are running as a Republican?! Republicans deny your existence and are trying to erase trans youth. HELL NO," tweeted leftist activist and actress Alyssa Milano.

"Well done Caitlyn Jenner, running for governor wins you the one medal you never got: stupidest mother***ker on earth. Running as a Trump Republican & entering a world that hates you," tweeted "Sons of Anarchy" star Ron Perlman.

In this clip from the "Glenn Beck Radio Program," Glenn and producer Stu Burguiere discussed the Left's hostile reaction to Jenner's candidacy for California governor and agreed that leftist trans activists are showing themselves to be more "leftists" than "trans activists."

"If Caitlyn Jenner did, let's say, run for governor and win as a Republican, wouldn't that go a long way to advance what [trans rights activists'] goal supposedly is? Like, if you really believe Republicans hate trans people and what you want is for society to have trans people accepted more broadly, what better way to accomplish that than having a Republican trans candidate?" Stu asked.

"Yeah, see, but you just said the key words: 'If you really believe.' They don't really believe anything. I don't think they even really believe that Republicans hate gay people. I don't think they actually believe that. That's just a slogan that's been drilled in their head," Glenn said. "It doesn't have anything to do with race or gender, or really anything else. It has everything to do with politics. That's it."
