Repugnant Outburst In New Zealand Parliament Proves ‘Native’ Cultures Should Be Assimilated

Repudiating Maori culture and fully assimilating the Maori into Western culture would have benefitted all parties and avoided the shameful impudence shown toward the rules that facilitate good governance.

We’re So Sorry, Uncle Bosie: Biden’s Latest Trip Down Dementia Lane Is A Doozy

Biden's whopper about his war hero uncle eaten by cannibals exposes bigger problems than his longtime trouble with the truth.

Biden apparently has a new favorite alternate history: His uncle was devoured by cannibals

President Joe Biden has long had an issue disentangling fact from fiction — and when dealing with facts, the 81-year-old Democrat often gets them wrong.

This week, Biden claimed that his uncle, 2nd Lt. Ambrose J. Finnegan Jr., was eaten by cannibals. It is unclear whose story the geriatric president has appropriated on his uncle's behalf, but the U.S. government's official record does not support the story Biden has now elected to tell on at least two occasions.

Speaking to reporters a Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport in Avoca, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, Biden said: "Ambrose Finnegan — we called him 'Uncle Bosie' — he — he was shot down. He was Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force. He flew single-engine planes, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea. He had volunteered because someone couldn't make it. He got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals in New Guinea at the time."

"They never recovered his body," added Biden. "But the government went back, when I went down there, and they checked and found some parts of the plane and the like."

Biden has a new story: Uncle Bosey got shot down in a plane and was possibly eaten by African cannibals.
— (@)

According to the Department of Defense's Prisoner of War/Missing In Action Accounting Agency, Biden's uncle was flying a two-engine Douglas A-20 Havoc medium bomber on May 14, 1944. Whereas the president suggested it had been shot down, the government record indicates the plane "was forced to ditch in the ocean off the north coast" for "unknown reasons."

"Three men failed to emerge from the sinking wreck and were lost in the crash," said the official record. "One crew member survived and was rescued by a passing barge. An aerial search the next day found no trace of the missing aircraft or the lost crew members."

The Associated Press reported that the U.S. government's record of missing service members "does not attribute Finnegan's death to hostile action or indicate cannibals were any factor."

At a campaign event earlier in the day, Biden addressed workers at the United Steelworkers headquarters in Scranton, Pennsylvania. During the largely mumbled speech, Biden said his uncle "got shot down in New Guinea, and they never found the body because there used to be — there are a lot of cannibals, for real, in that part of New Guinea."

— (@)

In both instances, the apparent purpose of the anecdote was to segue into a slight at former President Donald Trump.

When speaking about his uncle at the airport, Biden said, "And what I was thinking about when I was standing [where Finnegan was memorialized] was when Trump refused to go up to the memorial for veterans in Paris, and he said they were a bunch of 'suckers' and 'losers.'"

This claim, too, is unsubstantiated.

Snopes indicated that there is no audio or video evidence that Trump ever said fallen soldiers were "suckers" and "losers." There is also no "documentation, such as transcripts or presidential notes" to support the allegations that Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic advanced in a September 2020 article.

In his ostensibly baseless article, Goldberg — the Democratic booster whom the New York Times indicated in 2016 had "shaped The Atlantic's recent editorial endorsing Hillary Clinton for President" —cited "people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day."

Trump said of the allegations, "I would be willing to swear on anything that I never said that about our fallen heroes. There is nobody that respects them more. No animal — nobody — what animal would say such a thing?"

John Bolton, Trump's former national security adviser, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, both with Trump at the time, indicated the claims were false.

In effect, in crossing two yarns Tuesday in hopes of hurting his political rival, Biden demonstrated only his loose grasp on the truth, which appears to have slackened greatly in recent years.

In February, Biden discussed a recent chat he had with François Mitterrand. The trouble was not so much Biden's suggestion that Mitterrand was a German, but that the former French president has been dead since 1996.

The apparent ghost whisperer has also regaled supporters on multiple occasions with the tale of his impossible conversation with an Amtrak conductor named Angelo Negri, which apparently took place 20 years after the man's retirement and a year after his death.

After eulogizing Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski, who died in 2022, Biden called out to her during a speech in Washington, saying, "Representative Jackie — are you here? Where's Jackie? — I think she was going to be here."

Last year, Biden confused Ukraine and Iraq twice in 24 hours. Neither nation likely took it to heart, granted the apparent leader of the free world has also confused his own sister with his wife.

Although it was treated as a simple case of brazen plagiarism at the time, Biden also mistook the life story of former U.K. Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock when running for president in 1988.

DISTURBING: New Scientist article attempts to normalize cannibalism – 'Why can’t [bodies] be left to feed the hungry?'

Just when you think the world can’t possibly get any crazier, an article by New Scientist comes out claiming that we need to revisit the stigma surrounding cannibalism.

Yes, cannibalism — the practice of eating the flesh of one’s own species (and the subject of many horror films, we’ll add).

The article’s title alone is enough to send chills down your spine: “Is it time for a more subtle view on the ultimate taboo: Cannibalism?”

“This push to destigmatize everything is just a result of moral relativism,” the idea that “the only bad is saying something is bad,” says Allie Beth Stuckey, adding that this is just “godless rot.”

The article attempts to soften the horrors of cannibalism by citing “new archaeological evidence” suggesting that “ancient humans ate each other surprisingly often — sometimes for compassionate reasons.”

“It's one thing if you were able to read the old papyrus and it said, ‘We are eating each other surprisingly often,”’ laughs Allie. “Then I could see how you could deduce that ... but how is archeology showing you that?”

The text also stated that “ethically, cannibalism poses fewer issues than you might imagine. If a body can be bequeathed with consent to medical science, why can’t it be left to feed the hungry?”

It then went on to throw subtle shade on Western religion — “aka Christianity,” clarifies Allie.

“Perhaps it is down to the fact that, in Western religious traditions, bodies are seen as the seat of the soul and have a whiff of the sacred. Or maybe it is culturally ingrained, with roots in early modern colonialism, when racist stereotypes of the cannibal were concocted to justify subjugation.”

From there, the article only grew in its radicalism:

“Cannibalism is an important part of our story.”

“These discoveries invite us to reconsider our revulsion to cannibalism in the context of our evolutionary past.”

“Understanding its deep roots might shift our perspective on the few cultures that still practice cannibalism today.”

To hear Allie’s biblical take on the article, watch the clip below.

NBC News' attack on 'right-wing influencers' over claims about Haitian cannibalism kneecapped by stunning admission

Murderous Haitian gangsters have massacred countless unarmed civilians; freed thousands of convicted felons from jail; torched police stations; engaged in systematic rape; threatened genocide; seized control of the country's key port; besieged the airport in Port-au-Prince; and forced the failed nation's prime minister to resign.

Some commentators online have even suggested that among the thugs regarded by some American leftists as revolutionaries are killers who have developed a taste for more than rape, torture, and murder.

NBC News apparently wanted to rehabilitate the gangsters' reputation this week or at the very least kill the notion that those otherwise keen to burn people alive and stack bodies in the streets like cordwood might be cannibals. After all, the threat of cannibal gangs might engender a desire among Americans to prevent migrants from Haiti from continuing to illegally enter the United States.

The trouble with the liberal network's effort is that it contained the seed of its own undoing.

NBC Newspublished a report Wednesday claiming that South African billionaire Elon Musk and "right-wing pundits online are weaponizing unverified claims of cannibalism coming out of the conflict to advance a political agenda on immigration."

The thrust of the article is that conservative commentators have unfairly vilified those Haitian nationals who would steal into the U.S. — not by highlighting the crimes other illegal aliens from Haiti have committed on American soil and against citizens but by noting barbaric practices allegedly engaged in by some of their countrymen back home.

"Musk and conservative influencers have spread the message to millions, smearing Haitian migrants as cannibals," wrote NBC News tech reporter David Ingram.

A number of Haitian cannibalism claims online have been accompanied by a possibly real video from another recent rash of Haitian violence as well as a number of fake videos, including one taken from a Nigerian film set.

Ingram noted, "The cruelty of Haitian gang leaders is not in dispute, nor is the widespread killing in the country during a yearslong political crisis, but the false claims about widespread cannibalism go much further in trying to paint the whole Caribbean nation as barbarous."

Just four paragraphs into his article, however, Ingram admitted that the accusations of cannibalism were actually grounded in fact "on what experts said was a likely intimidation tactic from select gang members."

"In some videos, the most prominent examples being at least two years old, alleged members of violent gangs in Haiti appear to bite into human flesh," wrote Ingram. "Experts said these videos are likely part of propaganda campaigns designed to scare rivals and terrorize local Haitians rather than a reflection of common or normalized behavior. One former armed group went by the name 'Cannibal Army.'"

Ingram spoke to a moderator of the Haitian Subreddit who was similarly condemnatory of the cannibalism narrative, but even his outrage apparently centered on a recognition that the claims ultimately have merit.

"A whole population is getting blamed for what some psycho gang members are doing," said Chris Nestor, a Reddit moderator and a lawyer in Washington, D.C. "It is racist. It is dehumanizing."

Among the posts Ingram found vexing was one from podcast host Tim Pool, one from Malaysian commentator Ian Miles Cheong, and a handful from Musk.

Podcaster Tim Pool received a mention in the NBC News article for tweeting, "Look at Haiti[:] Murder, chaos, cannibalism."

Cheong wrote on March 6, "There are cannibal gangs in Haiti who abduct and eat people. We are not supposed to talk about that because of cultural relativism. The entire country has now entered a state of chaos after gangs attacked two prisons, setting many criminals free. 80% of Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince is now controlled by these gangs."

— (@)

Cheong doubled down days later, writing, "Haiti has collapsed. The President is no longer in the country. The ports are officially closed. Cannibal gangs are besieging the national palace in Port-au-prince."

"And now they want to import this into America," added Cheong.

Elon Musk replied to the Malaysian commentator, writing, "End of days. This is bleaker than Mad Max."

On March 12, Ingram wrote to Cheong concerning a video allegedly depicting a Haitian gangster eating human flesh, noting, "This video is two years old at least."

Cheong responded, "I guess cannibalism in Haiti isn't so bad if a video of it happening was taken two years ago. Haiti has a long, colorful history of cannibalism. In 2004, a gang called the Cannibal Army also called the Artibonite Resistance Front, seized control of Gonaives. And then they took over Port-au-Prince. I’m sure the name was just for show."

Musk managed to get deep under Ingram's skin with repeated cannibal claims.

"When people wonder 'how bad can it really get?', well it can get cannibal-gang bad," he wrote on Monday.

The Tesla CEO commented on a video about America's open borders, "Cannibal gangs."

After NBC News ran Ingram's piece, Musk wrote, "If wanting to screen immigrants for potential homicidal tendencies and cannibalism makes me 'right wing', then I would gladly accept such a label! Failure to do so would put innocent Americans in mortal risk. Shame on NBC. Shame, shame, shame."

"Objecting to rolling out the red (in more ways than one) carpet for homicidal cannibals seems like a reasonable position to me," added Musk.

Cannibalism is just one of many terror tactics that has been employed by Haitian gangs.

Last year, Jon Lee Anderson of the New Yorker interviewed Jimmy "Barbeque" Chérizier, the mass murderer sanctioned by U.N. and various Western nations for human rights abuses, who recently united various disparate gangs, threatened genocide, and took over Port-au-Prince. In the July article, Anderson noted that the practice of "necklacing," whereby victims are "yoked with tires doused in gasoline and set alight," has become "widespread in Haiti, as a growing array of gangs have taken up the methods of the Chimères."

Anderson noted that "it is not uncommon to see the bodies of people murdered by gang members and left in public as a warning to rivals. Some are charred after being set on fire. Others show signs of having been beaten or shot or hacked with machetes."

Michigan woman recounts 'horror movie' attack by savage 'cannibalistic rapist' who said she was a wolf and bit off friend's ear

A Michigan woman recounted a nightmarish attack that she likened to a "horror movie" during a court hearing on Wednesday. The brutal assault was committed by the victim's one-time friend – who allegedly bit off her ear and ate her cheek.

It started out as a friendly get-together

An unnamed 48-year-old woman invited Allison Thompson Weaver over to her home for some alcoholic beverages on Sept. 16, 2019. The two women were friends and former neighbors.

Weaver allegedly made sexual advances toward the homeowner, but she was not interested.

"She put the alcohol beverages that she brought – she put them down," the victim said, according to WDIV. "She came over to give me a hug because we hadn’t seen each other in a long time, and that’s when she proceeded to kiss me. She kissed me with an open mouth kiss, and my reaction was to just kind of laugh and brush it off and stop it."

The homeowner went to bed, but was reportedly awakened by a nude Weaver on top of her.

'My life changed forever'

"On Sept. 16, 2019, my life changed forever. I let Allison Thompson Weaver in my home, and in return, she tried to kill me. If the police hadn’t shown up when they did, from neighbors calling 9-1-1, I wouldn’t be here today," the victim told the courtroom during Weaver's hearing.

"(I remember) jumping off my bed and seeing Allison on all fours on my bed, and me standing there and she was on all fours giving me a really scary look," the anonymous woman said. "I was, like, 'Allison, Allison, what are you doing?' She just kept giving me this look with her head going back and forth. I was, like, 'What are you doing?' She just lunged at me, and she just started strangling me."

"I have some memories of the attack that night, like bits and pieces of a horror movie," the victim recalled. "First, of waking up in my own bed to find her in some animal-like crawling position, naked, ready to pounce on me. Her strangling me, the expression on her face, until I was unconscious."

She added, "I do remember seeing pure evil in her eyes, though, and I truly believe nothing can save her."

The 'cannibalistic rapist' told the victim: 'You have to die'

The victim told the judge that she has permanent nerve damage all over her body because Weaver had bitten her breasts, vagina, and face.

"She bit off my ear and literally consumed parts of me, like my cheek, for instance," she claimed. "The pain in my neck, shoulder, and back, even with physical therapy, is only getting worse. I have been trying to avoid more surgeries, if possible, than I’ve already had."

"The extreme pain I felt as I regained consciousness and could not move from being raped, beaten, and literally eaten alive from head to toe," the woman said. "I knew in my head what was happening to me, and I couldn’t do a thing about it."

"Then she whispered the words, 'You have to die.' I begged her, 'I'll do anything you want.' But she laughed and replied, 'It's too late,' and began strangling me again, a second time," the woman remembered. "This time, I saw my loved ones flash before my eyes. I saw a bright light, and I saw the end of my life. That’s all I remember until the hospital."

The victim said that the "hundreds" of photos of vicious bite marks all over her body "just begin to show what this cannibalistic rapist put me through, all the while with a smile on her face."

Assailant claimed to be a 'wolf' during sex attack

The brutal sex attack was heard by neighbors at the Lake Village Apartments in Rochester Hills. The resident informed police that he could hear a person moaning and begging for help.

Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office responded to the call at 1:23 a.m. on Sept. 17, 2019.

Deputies knocked on the front door of the victim's apartment, but nobody answered. They could hear a person wailing and calling for help. Police said they entered through an unlocked door and found the two women in a bedroom.

Sgt. Jason Dalbec of the Oakland County Sheriff's Office testified in 2019, "They saw the two women covered in blood. One was lying on the floor. Another was kneeling next to her, and they're both in this dazed and confused (state)."

Deputy Shawn Hopkins told the courtroom, "One was lying on her back on the floor, the other one was sitting up on her knees between the bed and the victim lying on the floor."

"(Weaver) seemed to be in a happy-type mood," Hopkins revealed. "She was having a good time. (The victim) was very quiet – almost appeared like she may have been in shock."

Hopkins added, "Ms. Weaver told me that they were having consensual sex and that (the victim) was a vampire and that Ms. Weaver was the wolf."

Hopkins said of the victim, "Other than the fact that she appeared to be covered in blood, I noticed a large wound to the side of her left eye area and cheek, and I also noticed that the outer edge of her left ear appeared to be missing. (The wound on her cheek) was approximately an inch in diameter. It appeared the flesh was completely gone like it had been removed from her face, possibly bitten off."

He noted, "I noticed the outer edge – the curve on the back side of her ear – appeared to be missing from just above the earlobe to up around the top part of the ear."

Deputies said Weaver was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. They found alcohol, marijuana packages, and prescription medications in the kitchen.

Weaver was taken into custody by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies.

Dalbec remarked, "This is very unusual. This is one of those cases that will be once in a lifetime for deputies."

Surviving the 'horror movie' attack was a 'miracle'

The victim told the court, "No one knows why she chose me to be her victim that night. The doctors at the hospital said it was nothing short of a miracle that I survived that attack that night."

The victim stated, "Every hour of every day, I deal with excruciating pain because of what she did to me and the countless bite wounds."

"I'm learning to live with the pain and countless scars, as well as the countless stares I receive, but what is scaring me is the nonstop visions of her demon eyes killing me and the fact that she will try to do this again someday," she said.

Judge says 'horrific is not even the word' for the savage attack

Oakland County Judge Nanci Grant said the savage abuse that the victim suffered was more violent than murder cases.

"The victim started off her statement, 'It was like being in a horror movie,' and I wrote that down because when I reviewed the (pre-sentence investigation), I had to read it a few times because I couldn’t believe what I was reading," Grant said. "Then, when I talked to (the attorney) about it, the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘It was like reading a script for a horror movie.'"

"I can't even imagine what you were going through ... I've been up here for 25 years and I’ve seen murder cases that were not nearly as violent as this case," Grant declared. "I can’t imagine, psychologically, where you (Weaver) were in doing this to her, and the excuses that were made for it, and then this is the first time I saw the medical records in terms of all the wounds on her body and her face and her genitalia. ‘Horrific’ is not even the word for it.”

Weaver, 47, had been charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, assault with intent to maim, and assault by strangulation. On Wednesday, Weaver pleaded guilty to assault charges.

Judge Grant sentenced Weaver to 10-15 years in prison, and she must register as a sex offender.

Grant said of the sentence, "I think this is the correct resolution to this particular matter. I don’t think that these charges would ever have intended to reflect what actually happened here. These charges are not what was seen here. So in some ways, it’s a gift (for Weaver) what these charges are."

The victim reacted to the judge's sentence.

"I don’t think it’s fair that she has taken so much away from me that I can never get back," the woman told the judge. "She stole a part of me and she broke a part of me. She took away my sense of safety and trust, and so much more. Everything that this thing has done to me deserves more than 10-15 years behind bars. I will be living with these problems, pains, damages, and fears for the rest of my life."

Weaver told the court, "I would like to apologize to the victim and her family, and also to my family, as well. I do feel really, really horrible about what happened. I wish I could take it away."

'This is Satanism': New York Times gets skewered for suggesting there is a 'time and place' for cannibalism

The New York Times – the so-called "newspaper of record" – advocated that "cannibalism has a time and a place," and that current media suggests that now is the time to eat your fellow human. The eye-raising article was flayed on Twitter for even suggesting that people eat people, and many commentators reckoned that the New York Times writer put her foot in her mouth.

The piece was written by Alex Beggs – a freelance writer and "regular contributor at Bon Appétit, where she reviews the latest Trader Joe's products, writes the magazine's questionable etiquette column, and regularly covers cookbooks," according to journalist database Muck Rack.

The article titled "A Taste for Cannibalism?" argues that cannibalism is having a moment right now because of "some recent stomach-churning books, and on television and film screens."

However, cannibalism has been featured in entertainment throughout history – including "Soylent Green" (1973), "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974), "Cannibal Holocaust" (1980), "Conan the Barbarian" (1982), "Silence of the Lambs" (1991), "Alive" (1993), "Ravenous" (1999), "The 13th Warrior" (1999), "American Psycho" (2000), "Sin City" (2005), "The Hills Have Eyes" (2006), and "Jennifer’s Body" (2009), just to name a few.

The article cites cannibalism being a theme in the Showtime TV show "Yellowjackets."

Ashley Lyle – the co-creator of "Yellowjackets" – was unable to bite her own tongue and blamed climate change and school shootings as reasons why people are interested in cannibalism.

"As to what may be fueling the desire for cannibalism stories today, Ms. Lyle, the 'Yellowjackets' co-creator, said, 'I think that we’re obviously in a very strange moment.' She listed the pandemic, climate change, school shootings and years of political cacophony as possible factors."

"I think we’re often drawn to the things that repulse us the most,” Lyle said.

"Yellowjackets" co-creator Bart Nickerson claimed, "But I keep coming back to this idea of, what portion of our revulsion to these things is a fear of the ecstasy of them?”

Twitter reactions to the cannibal article flew in faster than it took Hannibal Lecter to eat the liver of a census taker with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

Writer Emmanuel Rincón: "The New York Times, the progressive media in general and the left, are promoters of all aberrant causes of humanity. Pedophilia, child indoctrination and now cannibalism. Sick."

CEO Zack Kanter: "A zero sum worldview, irrational fear of overpopulation, and hatred of success will inevitably lead NYT journos to the literal conclusion of ‘eat the rich.’"

Author Sankrant Sanu: "Western 'Liberalism' on its next logical step."

Journalist Tom Fitton, "NY Times, taking a break from promoting the mass killing of the unborn through abortion, promotes cannibalism."

Conservative activist Ned Ryun: "Ummm wat?!! The NY Times has become a monumental joke."

CEO Sridhar Vembu: "The NY Times: 'Cannibalism has a time and a place.' The Left is a tragedy that keeps on giving. What would they attempt to normalize next?"

Journalist Mollie Hemingway: "New York Times leaning into that already well-earned 'enemy of the people' moniker way too much and way too literally."

Writer Gabriella Hoffman: "These people tell us eating meat is bad and the world is ending, but give a full-fledged endorsement of cannibalism."

Journalist Sameera Khan: "THIS IS SATANISM."

Columnist Jon Gabriel: "Post-Christian culture seems a lot like pre-Christian culture."

Cultural commentator Tim Pool: "NYT looking hire known cannibal Reza Aslan."

Author Sophie Gonzales: "The apocalypse news headlines look surprisingly how I pictured they’d look."

Columnist Larry Alex Taunton: "Today’s #NYT headline: 'Cannibalism has a time & place…. the time is now.' The Democrat Party is now the Donner Party."

Audio producer Anthony F. Irwin: "Just when I thought the Times couldn't get any Dahmer."

Comedian Tiernan Douieb: "If any NYT journos invite you for dinner, don’t go."

Former congressional candidate David Giglio: "We’ve had a decent run, but it’s over for humanity. Bring on the comet."

French police take down suspected cannibal after discovering teenager’s partially eaten head in a bucket

French police fatally shot a male suspect accused of cannibalism Monday morning following the grisly discovery of a decapitated and partially consumed head of a 13-year-old boy.

The suspect remains unidentified at the time of this reporting.

What are the details?

Authorities shot the 32-year-old suspect on Monday after arriving his Tarascon apartment following a call for what neighbors said appeared to be a dead body in a bag.

The child in question, which local authorities identify only as "Romain," reportedly had gone missing from a foster care home in Marseille, about 60 miles from the suspect's apartment. Authorities said the child had been on his way from his foster home to visit his mother, who was said to have lived on the same street as the suspect.

According to reports, authorities discovered a partially consumed head in a bucket near the suspect's apartment. Authorities discovered the body, reports added, in a bag with what appeared to be strips of flesh torn from the shoulder area.

Local authorities said the condition of the body sparked "suspicions of cannibalism."

The suspect reportedly fled as police approached his home, and began jumping from rooftop to rooftop in an effort to evade authorities. Police were ultimately able to catch up with the suspect and fatally shot him.

The mother, who remains unnamed at the time of this reporting, was reportedly heard screaming, "He killed my son! He killed my baby!" upon the horrific finding on her street.

What about the suspect?

Public prosecutor Laurent Gumbau said that the suspect, who reportedly had a psychiatric disorder and a history of mental illness, had past convictions for violent crimes.

Authorities added that the case is in preliminary stages of investigation, and stated that the dead suspect has not been formally identified as the teen's killer. Authorities also added that it is "impossible at the current time to confirm the hypothesis of anthropophagy" based on the current information available on the case.

Authorities continue to investigate the grisly murder.

Man sentenced to death for killing mother, then frying her organs to eat them

A man in Kolhapur, India, has been convicted and sentenced to die for murdering his mother before frying her organs in order to consume them, the Times of India reported.

The man, 35-year-old Sunil Rama Kuchkoravi, received the sentence last week and now waits to see if the Bombay high court will confirm his execution.

What happened?

According to court documents, in August 2017 a young girl alerted neighbors after finding Sunil with bloodstained hands standing near the disemboweled body of his 63-year-old mother, Yallava.

When police arrived on the scene, they reportedly discovered "the naked dead body of Yallava lying in a pool of blood" with the "liver, intestine, heart, rib, [and] chest" removed. Officers then allegedly followed the blood trail to the kitchen, where they found her heart on a platter along with a piece of her rib soaking in an oil bottle next to chili powder and spices.

Multiple knives covered in blood were also discovered at the scene and were later confirmed to have been used during the horrifying crime.

"After the incident [the] accused intended to eat the heart and rib of his own mother," the court order read, adding that his actions indicate "he had no remorse even after committing murder of his mother."

Prosecutors in the case argued the incident should fall in the category of a "rarest of rare" crime — a classification within the Indian legal system that allows the death penalty to be administered.

"We had sought the death sentence," public prosecutor Vivek Shukla told reporters. "There are precedents in 'rarest of rare' cases when [death by hanging] is given. He murdered his own mother and desecrated the body in a way no one would imagine."

The sessions court agreed with the classification and so the suggested penalty will be carried out, pending a review.

What else?

A police inspector who investigated the case, S.S. More, described it as the most gruesome murder he had ever experienced in all his years in law enforcement.

"I have seen many murders and dead bodies in my career in Mumbai and in the Naxalite areas of the state. This was the most cruel," he said. "We carried out stomach-wash, hand-wash, and foot-wash, and the samples were sent for DNA profiling. All samples matched with the deceased. We had 12 eyewitnesses on our side. Also, the scene at the murder site and the condition of [the] deceased body were sufficient to prove the cruelty of the accused."

Sessions judges added that gruesome crime had shaken the "collective conscience" of the local community.
