Son of alleged attempted Trump assassin arrested on possession of 'hundreds' of files of child porn

The son of Ryan Routh has been arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography, according to charging documents.

Charging documents said that police were searching the man's home in Guilford County, North Carolina, on Saturday when they discovered child pornography.

'I hate this game every four years, and think that we all do.'

"A review of the SD card located in Device-1 revealed that it contained hundreds of child pornography files," said prosecutors. "These files include videos from a known child pornography series created outside the state of North Carolina."

Oran Alexander Routh is charged with one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.

Investigators said the images were found on a Samsung Galaxy Note device in the man's primary bedroom as well as another Galaxy Note device. Prosecutors said they were able to obtain evidence of a conversation in which Oran Routh sought to purchase child pornography.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Carolina confirmed to CBS News that officials were investigating the alleged assassination attempt on Trump's life when they were searching the home of Oran Routh.

Oran Routh had justified the actions of his father in an interview after Ryan Routh was arrested for allegedly trying to kill Trump from outside the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“I hate this game every four years, and think that we all do, and if my father wants to be a martyr to how broken and disassociated the process has become from the real problems and practical solutions, then that’s his choice,” he reportedly texted to the Daily Mail when asked about his father's arrest.

On Monday, the former president demanded that the investigation into the second alleged assassination attempt be handed off to Florida state officials after accusing the Biden-Harris administration of downplaying the incident.

Ryan Routh was initially charged with gun crimes, but prosecutors said they intend to charge him with attempted assassination, which would carry a possible sentence of life in prison.

Father and son arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography, both worked as teachers at New Jersey grade school

Parents of students at a New Jersey grade school are outraged after a father and son who taught there were arrested for possession of child pornography.

65-year-old Jeffrey Grossman and his son 24-year-old Steven Grossman were arrested on accusations that they viewed, downloaded, and possessed child pornography. Parents heard about the arrests on Thursday.

The younger Grossman worked as a substitute teacher at Midland elementary school.

One parent was concerned because the older Grossman had accompanied students on a school trip to Washington, D.C., in May.

"And he confiscated their phones every night. So my fear now was he's looking at my kids' pictures - my girls in their bikinis at that young age," said Julie Agatone to WABC-TV.

Others want to know how long their children were exposed to the Grossmans while the Bergen County Prosecutors Office investigated the accusations.

Dr. Sue DeNobile, superintendent of the Rochelle Park School District, said in a statement to parents that both of the accused suspects were "prohibited from coming to the school for any reason and are prohibited from contacting any student or staff."

The older Grossman served as the Borough council president in Tenafly, and a video report from WABC showed the image of a political yard sign identifying him as a Democrat.

"I think it is in the best interest of the borough that Mr. Grossman steps down in order that the people's business can continue uninterrupted and without distraction," read a statement from Tenafly Mayor Mark Zinna.

Parents told WABC that they intended to confront school district officials at their next public meeting.

The Grossmans appeared in court on Friday, and an attorney for the older Grossman entered a not guilty plea while no plea was entered for the son.

Georgia couple arrested for allegedly using adopted children to make child porn

A Georgia couple have been arrested for using their two adopted children to make child porn, according to police.

Around 4 p.m. on July 27, detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Walton County Sheriff's Office raided a home in Loganville – a town about 35 miles northeast of Atlanta. The officers had received tips that a man at the residence was downloading child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and obtained a search warrant.

"During the subsequent interview with the suspect, it was discovered that he was, in fact, receiving/collecting CSAM and that a secondary suspect lived in Walton County," the Walton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. "Detectives were told that this secondary suspect was producing homemade child sexual abuse material with at least one child who lived in the home with the perpetrator."

At approximately 11:30 p.m. the next day, police officers executed a search warrant at a home in the nearby town of Oxford.

During the search of the home, police officers discovered that the two adult males who lived at the residence were "engaging in sexually abusive acts and video documenting this abuse," according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office. The two men allegedly used their two adopted children to make child porn.

William Dale Zulock, 32, and Zachary Jacoby Zulock, 35, were arrested. The couple were booked at the Walton County Jail and charged with aggravated child molestation, sexual exploitation of children, and enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to WSB-TV. Zulock was reportedly also charged with child molestation.

The Walton County Sheriff's Office were able to identify the young victims with assistance from the Walton County school district.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations provided operational support and analytics for this case, officials said.

Authorities said the victims are "now safe" after the Walton County Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) took the young boys into care.

Deputies say their investigation is ongoing.

Hawaii teacher bragged about sex with 13-year-old boy during school lunch breaks, shared child porn with fellow teacher: Feds

A Hawaii teacher shared child porn with a fellow teacher and bragged about having sex with a 13-year-old boy during school lunch breaks, according to federal prosecutors.

Alden Bunag was arrested on Wednesday by FBI agents at an Oahu high school – where he worked as a summer school teacher, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported. Honolulu FBI agents also executed a search warrant at Bunag's home.

Bunag was charged with distributing child pornography.

The Hawaii public school teacher reportedly sent more than 3,300 messages to another teacher in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Included in the messages were photos and videos of child porn, according to federal court documents. The teacher in Philadelphia was arrested in October.

KHON-TV reported, "The documents added that 'Bunag claimed to have sex with (the boy) at the school during lunch breaks… Described (the boy) as a former student and knew that he was a minor at the time.'"

Court records said that Bunag confessed to law enforcement that he recorded his sexual encounters with the 13-year-old boy – who was a former student – and sent the videos to others through the Telegram messenger app.

The outlet added, "Records said, 'he also admitted to distributing the video recording of his sexual contact… admitted to distributing child pornography involving other minor victims.'"

Bunag appeared in federal court on Thursday. He will remain in custody until his next hearing on June 21.

The Pearl City High School listed "Alden Bunag" as a teacher in a cached version of the school's website, but he is not listed as a teacher in the current listing of staff.

A former student told Hawaii News Now, "It's absolutely disgusting. To be honest, though, I wouldn’t put it past him just because he was an odd guy."

Another former student said, "Definitely was very friendly with all of the kids, especially the male students."

The former student added that Bunag would offer to take senior portraits for students “free of charge.”

Another former student said, "I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another case that is related to him that somebody has been groomed by him."

The FBI said Bunag was a teacher, ran a photography business, and taught dance classes.

Criminal defense attorney Victor Bakke told Hawaii News Now, "Many people who are attracted to children or suffer from pedophilia, they do seek out job positions or employment where they’re around children. It is just a sign of the times when people with like interests can find each other and engage in this type of activity and discussion."
