Wauwatosa Asks Employees To Not Use Christmas Decor In Public Spaces
‘Snow people’ were reportedly suggested as alternatives
Cities have never been the epitome of safe, quiet living, but lately it seems urban areas aren’t just risky; they’re downright hazardous, especially those in blue states.
Crime rates continue to skyrocket, drugs run rampant, homelessness is at an all-time high. Metropolitan living is continuing to grow more perilous by the day.
Chad Prather thinks San Francisco is “the worst of the worst.”
“It’s trashed out … blame the Democrats,” he says.
But Chad thinks we also should blame those who vote the wokeists into power, including the TikToker who posted the viral video where she shakily recounts her experience going to a SF grocery store.
“I’m walking out the store and this guy is walking past me and says, ‘Move, you stupid bi***’ and spits in my face,” she tearfully recounts, adding that he also said, “Move or I’ll rape you.”
“Well, you voted for dark blue,” says Chad in response to the video. “You either abstained or you voted wrong – that’s what you’ve asked for.”
When we see crazy stories like the one above on the news, we tend to think the world is going crazy.
But really, it’s cities specifically that are on fire.
Incidents like these “don’t happen in small-town America,” Chad says. “All these people – we pack them into … two miles, and they go nuts.”
And when woke policies are governing these cities, it’s no wonder they’re burning down.

The City of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, is planning to create a rainbow crosswalk in a show of support for those who identify a "2SLGBTQIA+."
Guelph posted a tweet on Monday soliciting comments from the public about how the city can make people feel safe as well as celebrated — the tweet includes the link to a site where people can share their thoughts. On Tuesday, the city appended another post announcing that comments had been disabled on the tweet.
"We’re installing a rainbow crosswalk this month and we want to hear what you need from us as a City to feel included, safe and celebrated in Guelph. Comments are anonymous. Let us know here by May 14," the city tweeted on Monday, providing a link to the haveyoursay.guelph.ca website. "We have turned off comments on this post to ensure that all those who view it can do so in an environment that is respectful to all," the city added in a tweet on Tuesday.
“We have turned off comments on this post to ensure that all those who view it can do so in an environment that is respectful to all.”— City of Guelph (@City of Guelph) 1683568211
The city offers a "Safe Space Comment Box" on the website where people can provide their opinions about how the city can make people feel as though they are "included, safe and celebrated."
"Inspired by similar installations in other cities worldwide, Guelph citizens requested the City consider the installation at a prominent location in close proximity to downtown. Also, a petition in 2021 garnered over 1900 signatures in support of the rainbow crosswalk," the website claims.
The city is soliciting stories and images from the public about what the crosswalk will mean to them. Guelph is also inviting people to explain how they believe the city should celebrate the launch of the crosswalk.
"For inclusion, the design of the crosswalk is based on the progress flag. The main section of the flag includes the traditional Pride coloured stripes representing life, healing, sunlight, nature, harmony/peace, and spirit. The edge of the flag includes blue and pink stripes to represent the trans community, a brown stripe to represent people of colour, and a black stripe to represent those lost during the AIDS crisis. These are in a chevron shape, with arrow points to the right to indicate forward movement, while set on the edge to show progress still needs to be made," according to the website.

A viral video depicting what appeared to be an explosion over Billings, Montana Friday night was met both with skepticism and concern amid widespread reports of a Chinese spy balloon flying over the state earlier in the week.
"We're monitoring the situation. I'm talking to our National Guard to find out if they have additional information," Gov. Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.) told Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson in an on-air interview shortly after the video was posted.
Later in the evening, the City of Billings reported on its Twitter account that they confirmed with Montana's Disaster Emergency Services and Gov. Gianforte that there were no explosions "in, around, or across" the state. In addition, the City of Billings said the video "can not be substantiated."
The "explosion" video, posted by an account called @MMtTreasures, appeared to show a vertical pillar of white smoke or vapor, a flash of light, and something falling from the sky. In the text accompanying the video, @MMtTreasures also describes seeing a jet and witnessing what she described as an "explosion."“We have confirmed with @MontanaDES & @GovGianforte that there have not been any explosions in, around, or across #Montana. They are aware of the video and it can not be substantiated.”— City of Billings (@City of Billings) 1675477099
“Ok, so here’s what I just caught I few minutes ago out my window. I saw a jet go by so fast and then explosion in the sky. Holy crap! Billings MT.”— Dolly Moore (@Dolly Moore) 1675469302
Dolly Moore, the woman who posted the video, described her experience in an interview with MTN News on Friday night, which was shared in a report by KRTV.
"All I could think was, oh my gosh, this is happening again from two nights ago with the spy balloon over Billings," Moore said in the interview.
By 9:45 p.m. on Friday night, Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder, had made contact with Moore.
Linder said at that time that they believed the video was legitimate, according to a report by NBC affiliate KULR. The sheriff also reportedly added it was difficult to tell exactly what the video showed and that there was no evidence of an aircraft going down nor any evidence of an actual explosion over Billings.
Senator Steve Daines (R-Mont.) also says there has been no confirmation of an explosion over the state or the city of Billings, per KULR's reporting on Saturday.
Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.), responded to the City of Billings tweet, saying he was "still following all these events closely and will keep Montanans informed as any new information becomes available."
“I am still following all of these events closely and will keep Montanans informed as any new information becomes available.”— Matt Rosendale (@Matt Rosendale) 1675481211
Gianforte did not address the video in an interview on Fox News Channel's Fox and Friends Saturday morning.
"Honestly, if this had been up to Montanans, we would have taken it out of the air the moment it came into our sovereign airspace," Gianforte said, referencing the balloon seen in the area long before the unsubstantiated "explosion" video posted Friday night.
Gianforte also noted the Biden administration's seeming failure to take action on the Chinese spy balloon, "endangers the American people and emboldens our enemies."

Two people were killed and six others injured in a stabbing rampage that took place on the Las Vegas Strip around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday. The suspect arrested in connection with the stabbings is 32-year-old Yoni Barrios. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and charged with two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and six counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
“#BREAKING: The suspect in today's stabbings on Las Vegas Boulevard has been identified as 32-year-old Yoni Barrios. He has been booked into CCDC on two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and six counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.”— LVMPD (@LVMPD) 1665123122
Brandishing a large kitchen knife, the suspect began his brutal attack outside the Wynn Casino in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. The attacks were unprovoked.
Although Barrios first allegedly began stabbing on the sidewalk, he proceeded south down the street and stabbed several more victims. Ultimately, he fled as concerned citizens began to chase him down.

Within minutes of the stabbings, the LVMPD apprehended the suspect with the help of Sands security guards. According to KTNV, police arrested him in front of the Venetian and observed that his sleeves were covered in blood.

Th suspect stabbed eight people, two of whom died. One was pronounced dead on the scene and the other perished later at University Medical Center.
The deceased victims have been identified: 47-year-old Brent Allan Hallett and 30-year-old Maris Mareen DiGiovanni. DiGiovanni, who leaves behind a husband, worked as a teacher at 9th Bridge School in Las Vegas.
Three of the other stabbing victims are reportedly in critical condition.

LVMPD Deputy Chief James LaRochelle stated that this "was an isolated incident. ... All evidence indicates Barrios acted alone and there are no outstanding suspects at this time."
The Review-Journal noted that Barrios is not a Las Vegas resident.
One witness told KTNV that the suspect had approached a number of Las Vegas showgirls holding a large knife, which he allegedly explained away, claiming himself to be a chef. He then reportedly asked the women to pose for a photo with him. The witnessed indicated that when the victims refused, the suspect began stabbing them.
The LVMPD indicated on Thursday that the suspect's motive is unknown.
Another witness, Pierre Fandrich of Montreal, Canada, reported seeing "a lot of blood" and that he initially mistook the terrified shrieks and cries of the victims for laughter.
Fandrich said that one woman, who appeared to have been stabbed in the back, helped another victim who was on the ground. Another bystander reportedly aided in efforts to resuscitate the woman until first responders arrived.
One tourist from London told KVVU that one victim took off his shirt and tried using it to staunch his bleeding before collapsing at the base of an escalator.

The city of Miami, Florida, is once again holding a gun buyback with a twist — the guns collected during the event could end up being transported over to the war-torn country of Ukraine, where Russia has been waging a brutal attack since earlier this year.
People can score a $50, $100, or even $150 gift card if they turn in a firearm during the upcoming buyback this Saturday.
“Our Guns Buyback Program continues Saturday, August 27, from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. at Belafonte Tacolcy Center. All guns collected will be send to #Ukraine while we help to take guns off of our streets. #gunbuyback #safestreets”— City of Miami (@City of Miami) 1661465127
"The City of Miami has set up a voluntary gun buyback program to assist in providing safety and defense equipment to Ukraine," according to a post on the city's website. "Your donations will be used to assist the Ukraine support efforts. Receive a gift card starting at $50 for an old, unused, or found weapons, no questions asked. Do your part to make our streets safer."
The post notes that people can receive a $150 Visa gift card if they turn over a "High-powered assault rifle (.223 caliber, AR-15, AK-47)" and they can get $100 for a shotgun or rifle.
"Turning in an undesired gun is a great way to take guns off the streets by preventing the potential of them falling into the wrong hands. Turning in a gun during the gun buyback ... provides safety and security of knowing that the weapon will be properly disposed of or reallocated for use in support of Ukraine. It is also a great way to show your support in the fight against gun violence," a frequently asked questions section reads.
Another buyback events was held in June, and during a press conference last month, City of Miami Commissioner Ken Russel of District 2 indicated that suitable guns from the buyback would be going to the police force of Irpin, Ukraine.

Chicago-dweller Adam Kotsko, a faculty member at the Shimer Great Books School of North Central College, has publicly opined that individuals should not reside in rural settings.
"In discussions of reducing car dependency, one often hears, 'What about people in remote rural areas?' And my gut instinct is -- people shouldn't be living there in the first place. The solution is to give them generous grants to relocate among other humans," tweeted Kotsko, who is also the author of multiple books.
"'But what if they like living in remote rural areas?' Sorry, you can't always get what you want. A lot of people would like to live in dense, transit-rich settings but can't -- either because they can't afford it or it simply doesn't exist where they are," he tweeted. "And if this sounds harsh -- don't worry, it will never happen, because our governmental institutions are INSANELY biased in favor of rural areas. They'll be fine. I'm just a guy over here having an opinion," he added. He also wrote, "'Isn't it mean to imply that rural people's lifestyle is bad and wrong?' As someone who lives in Chicago, all I can say to that is: cry me a river."

Kotsko said that in his understanding, individuals living in sparsely populated areas are poverty stricken and "essentially trapped."
"My understanding is also that a lot of people in remote rural areas are desperately poor and essentially trapped there," Kotsko tweeted.
Kotsko also issued a series of tweets discussing ideas about such an urban-centric society.
"My ideal land use distribution (based heavily on KSR): all agricultural land is collectively owned and scientifically managed to balance quantity, quality, and variety of food against sustainability and ethical practices. No single-family or corporate for-profit farms," he declared. "Young adults have to do a period of public service, and one option would be a 'tour of duty' as a farm worker for a few years. Everyone would at least know someone who knows firsthand what goes into food production," Kotsko continued.
"The overwhelming majority of people live in a handful of ultradense urban cores, connected by high-speed rail. No car-based suburban communities exist. A handful of people stay in rural areas full-time to manage the work brigades or run wilderness retreats or whatever," he added. "The human footprint would be vastly less in this system -- all land not used for agriculture would be left wild. Another public service option would be dismantling the suburbs -- stripping copper wire and other useable resources, removing toxins, then leaving them to rot."

The City of Orlando was forced to backpedal over the weekend after releasing a controversial message about the Fourth of July that questioned why anyone would want to celebrate Independence Day.
In a newsletter message released on Friday, the city questioned "why on earth" any American would want to celebrate their country and sympathized with people who refuse to celebrate America.
The message said:
A lot of people probably don’t want to celebrate our nation right now, and we can’t blame them. When there is so much division, hate and unrest, why on earth would you want to have a party celebrating any of it?
But in all seriousness, you know in your heart, Fourth of July fireworks are amazing, especially when you are standing in 90° heat, 100% humidity, next to 100,000 of your closest friends. In that moment, something takes over and we all become united in an inexplicable bond. Yes, America is in strife right now, but you know what...we already bought the fireworks.
The message immediately prompted backlash.
"We do not share the same views as the City of Orlando and find their comments in inflammatory and in poor taste," said the police union that represents Orlando Police officers.
"Yikes. City of Orlando, is this your official position on our country and on 4th of July?" reacted Christina Pushaw, spokeswoman for Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
Not everyone, however, was upset. In fact, many people, including Florida state Rep. Anna Eskamani (D), thought the message was appropriate.
"Y’all do not need to apologize — your first email captured the tone of how many Americans (and Orlandoans) are feeling right now. It’s ok not to be ok," Eskamani responded to Orlando's official Twitter account.
The City of Orlando released a statement on Saturday implicitly apologizing for the earlier statement.
"The city of Orlando sincerely regrets the negative impact our words have had on some in our community," the statement said. "We understand these words offended some of our residents, which was not our intent.
"We value the freedoms we have in this country and are thankful to the men and women who fought and continue to fight for those," the statement added. "We take pride in celebrating the 4th of July to express our gratitude to those men and women and honor the country we live in."
