Cory Booker Blocks Ted Cruz’s Important AI Revenge Porn Bill To Help His Buddy Win An Election
It’s yet another lesson in how Democrats operate and what Americans can expect if they vote for them this November.
Many of Bob Menendez’s longtime Democratic allies have soured on the New Jersey senator amid his federal bribery case. But not Marc Elias, the controversial Democratic super lawyer whose firm took nearly $50,000 from the embattled senator’s legal fund.

Democrats have introduced a bill that provides special protections for any illegal immigrants who are considered "vulnerable." The bill protects illegal immigrants from being detained long-term if they identify as LGBTQ or qualify as other protected classes.
The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act was introduced by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), and Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) this week.
The proposed legislation would hinder Border Patrol agents from detaining certain "vulnerable populations." The bill would protect any illegal alien who "identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex," according to Fox News. The bill would also give special protections to anyone under the age of 21 or older than 60, pregnant women, asylum seekers, survivors of torture or gender-based violence, those experiencing "severe trauma," individuals fearing persecution, and illegal aliens with "limited English language proficiency."
The Department of Homeland Security has 48 hours to detain arrested illegal aliens or release them on bond. However, the bill would have a "special rule for vulnerable persons and primary caregivers" that would force DHS to release protected illegal immigrants. The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act declares that illegal aliens "may not be detained" unless the DHS can demonstrate that it is "unreasonable or not practicable to place the alien in a community-based supervision program."
Fox News noted:
For example, officials would have to decide within 48 hours whether to detain an alien, and could only detain them after a determination that "the release of an alien will not reasonably ensure the appearance of the alien as required or will endanger the safety" of others. In those cases, DHS "shall impose the least restrictive conditions" for detention, and ensure they get a custody hearing within 72 hours. And in those hearings, "there shall be a presumption that the alien should be released," the bill said.
Congresswoman Jayapal said the bill would "go a long way to restore humanity and dignity to the immigration system."
"There’s no question that our immigration system is broken," Jayapal said in a statement. "The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act urgently reforms the alarming injustices of a broken, for-profit immigration detention system by ending the use of private detention facilities altogether, repealing mandatory detention, and prohibiting family detention while also restoring due process and increasing oversight, accountability, and transparency measures."
Sen. Booker added, "Our immigration system has allowed for the unjust treatment of immigrants and stripped them of their humanity and due process. We must respect and protect the basic rights of immigrants detained in the United States. I am proud to reintroduce this bill that would ensure our immigration system aligns with our country’s core values."
The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act has been sponsored by dozens of House Democrats and seven Senate Democrats.

Legislators have introduced a bill to ban TikTok from being downloaded on U.S. devices after enacting a ban on the video-sharing app for government devices in December.
". . . just banning the app on government devices is not enough. TikTok provides a backdoor for the CCP to spy on all Americans. That’s why we need to ban TikTok on all U.S. devices," Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) told Fox Business.
Hawley's No TikTok on Government Devices Act unanimously passed the Senate in December and was enacted the same month.
The No TikTok on Government Devices Act, of course, applies only to government devices, with limited exceptions, and not to ordinary citizens.
Bipartisan concern about the app, owned by CCP-controlled parent company Bytedance, is growing.
"[TikTok is] now working with U.S. intelligence folks to try to make sure that the proper precautions are taken so the Chinese cannot get access and use it for spying," Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) told "Face the Nation" host Margaret Brennan Sunday.
“This is something we have to take seriously,” Booker also said. “It is an issue for American companies who have their secrets stolen. It is an issue that we have to have around our military.”
Sen. Hawley and Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) introduced legislation banning TikTok on all U.S. devices on January 25.
"TikTok is a clear threat to our privacy and national security. Not only is TikTok directly associated with the Chinese Communist Party, but it has been used to spy on Americans and gain an alarming level of access to users’ phones," Rep. Buck said in a statement.
"This should concern every citizen who values their privacy, security, and personal information. Banning CCP tied TikTok nationwide is the only route to ending this malicious cybersecurity threat,” Buck continued.
The Guardian characterized recent TikTok-squelching developments as "the west [turning] on genZ's favorite app" in a piece on Sunday. In the article, the authors describe ongoing U.S. and European efforts to overhaul data privacy laws in light of concerns the CCP could or is already accessing citizens' sensitive data.
Meanwhile, an undeterred State Farm is plotting a Super Bowl campaign featuring TikTok star Khaby Lame alongside "Jake from State Farm," AdAge reported Sunday. The marketing play involves a contest in which entrants guess the number of times "State Farm Stadium" is mentioned during the game. The winner is awarded a chance to appear in a video with Khaby.

Sen. Cory Booker was TRAPPED in Israel when Hamas attacked, and he’s STILL touting Palestinian rights
Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey was one of the unfortunate Americans who found themselves trapped in Israel at the time Hamas invaded — although he has now returned safely.
Pat Gray plays the video Booker filmed documenting his experience as the attack was launched.
“I am in Israel. About this time yesterday … I got an urgent call from my chief of staff telling me to get back to the hotel as quickly as I could [and] that Israel was under attack. There were thousands of rockets being launched. When I got back to the hotel, I joined others in the bomb shelter or the stairwells of the hotel. Frightened faces, there were children and elderly families, many Americans. There was a sense of fear and worry and a knowledge to many of us that there were horrific things going on around the country at that time — hundreds of people have been killed, thousands of people have been wounded. … We who believe in peace and freedom and human rights for Palestinians, for Israelis, for all humankind must reject those who use terror as their weapon.”
Pat isn’t all that impressed with Booker’s response.
“Thank you for at least throwing Israel in there with the Palestinians,” he grumbles. “These people show their true colors every time they speak.”
“There's a picture that's been going around featuring Cory Booker, and the irony is so incredibly delicious,” adds Keith Malinak.
Check it out:
“He's standing there posing with some, you know, pro-Palestinian folks” with a sign that 'reads from Palestine to Mexico. All the walls have got to go.' How you feeling today, Cory?” asks Keith.
