WHO is protecting Fauci? BlazeTV docuseries seeks answers to the questions we’re STILL asking about COVID

Episode 2 of “The Coverup” – Blaze Media’s new investigative series that exposes the lies of the pandemic industrial complex – dropped last week on BlazeTV.

The face of the series, Matt Kibbe, recently met with Bryce Nickels, genetics professor at Rutgers University, on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces, to reflect on some of the things laid out in episode 1 as well as discuss all the disturbing findings the series explores in episode 2.

Episode 1 centered around Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor of medicine at Stanford University, one of the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration and the most censored doctor during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Titled “Dissident,” the first episode was inspired partly by Pearl Jam’s 1993 song “Dissident” but mostly by “Jay's willingness to swim against the grain very early on,” says Kibbe, who admires the doctor’s perseverance despite the “hysterical attempts to stifle” him and others like him who were brave enough to speak the truth even though it landed them in hot water.

Kibbe also notes that in episode 1, viewers benefit from Bhattacharya’s unique ability to “[translate] very complex ideas into something that's consumable to a lay audience.”

In episode 2 – “Legislator: How Rand Paul Exposed Dr. Fauci's Lies” – which explores how deep the roots of the pandemic industrial complex go, Kibbe and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), the only senator who is still relentlessly pursuing the truth about COVID, ask the following questions:

 • Is Fauci a made man?
 • Who is protecting him?
 • Will he ever suffer any consequences?
 • Why is the government funding dangerous gain-of-function research?

“What we're seeing when it comes to the COVID cover-up is a bunch of interested parties whose financing and careers and reputations, and really their lifeblood, is based on the continuance of this sort of biosecurity, gain-of-function research paradigm,” Kibbe tells Nickels.

The truth is, Fauci “may be personally responsible for the deaths of millions of people through this gain-of-function research that he has so full-throatedly defended throughout his entire career.”

That, among other COVID mysteries, is precisely what Kibbe intends to figure out in “The Coverup.”

See it: CDC director Mandy Cohen wears mask in photos with Democratic senators, but not in photo with Republican Sen. Mitt Romney

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Mandy Cohen recently shared an eyebrow-raising post that included four photos of her with U.S. senators. While she was wearing a mask in photos with Democratic Sens. Tim Kaine of Virginia, Jon Ossoff of Georgia, and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, Cohen was maskless in a photo with Republican Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah.

"Busy day meeting with Senators - appreciate the support and partnership!" Cohen's post read, seemingly indicating that all of the photos had been taken on the same day.

People on social media took notice of Cohen's inconsistent masking.

"Why the mask, but then also why no mask with Romney?" Chuck Ross of the Washington Free Beacon tweeted.

— (@)

"Mandy Cohen wears masks when meeting with Democrats but not @SenatorRomney," Matthew Foldi of The Specator World wrote. "Why?"

"Masked meeting the Dems // unmasked meeting Romney," Josh Kraushaar of Jewish Insider noted.

"What happened to your useless mask in the first photo dear?" someone else tweeted.

Cohen began serving as CDC director earlier this year.

Back in 2020, she shared a photo of herself sporting a face mask emblazoned with a photo of Dr. Anthony Fauci.

"Did you know it’s #WorldMaskWeek?" Cohen wrote on that August 2020 post. "Face coverings are one of our strongest tools to slow the spread of #COVID19 in our communities... and like my Dr. Fauci mask, they can be fun too! Join me in masking up this week & beyond – every time you leave the house."

Return of the MASK: COVID 2.0 is already snaking its way across the country

If you thought the pandemic was over, we're sorry to say that you're wrong.

As the 2024 election looms closer and the presidential candidates are increasingly at each others' throats, so it seems COVID is at ours. And Lauren Chen is well aware.

“It does seem like COVID part two is back. That’s right, the pandemic strikes back,” Chen says. “A lot of people, if you ask me, have been a little too quick to move on and forget that hey, you actually had neighbors who are calling the police on you if you tried to have guests over.”

“There were actually people who were dying that were prevented from seeing their loved ones,” she adds.

We need to remember, because if we don’t, then it could easily all happen over again. And in some ways, it already is.

Lionsgate, a production company based in California, has re-implemented a mask mandate for some employees after a few employees tested positive for COVID.

The employees were told in an email to “wear a medical grade face covering (surgical mask KN95 or N95) when indoors except when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their desk or workstation, or if they are the only individual present in a large open workspace.”

“If you are still afraid of COVID in this day and age, you haven’t been paying attention and you should probably go see some sort of mental health professional, rather than place all of your concern in something like COVID,” Chen says.

It’s not only the Hollywood studio that’s making a big deal out of re-implementing mask mandates. Morris Brown College has also reintroduced a mask mandate for both students and staff.

The college made this decision because there have been reports of students testing positive for COVID.

“Yes, the fatality rates for COVID are very similar to that of the flu. Do we institute mask mandates for the flu now? Absolutely not. It’s just something we live with and we understand that we live in a society. People get sick. So, the fact that some people out there still have this irrational fear when it comes to COVID,” Chen says. “It’s not based in science. It’s not based in medicine. This is an ideological thing.”

Glenn Beck REACTS to Trump's Fulton County arrest: 'This is just the beginning'

This was a historical but dark week for America.

For the first time in the history of our nation, a former president has been arrested, fingerprinted, and given an inmate number. Donald Trump’s mug shot has already taken over the internet, with supporters and “haters” alike sharing the photo.

“It was a horrible week for the republic,” Glenn Beck says, outraged by the unprecedented attack on former President Trump.

“You couldn’t humiliate more than they did yesterday. Couldn’t interfere more with an election than they did yesterday. But this is just the beginning of it,” he adds.

Glenn believes that instead of Trump, it should’ve been done to Nixon and certainly to Hillary Clinton for her “espionage-level kind of stuff.”

The “espionage level” Glenn is referring to is when Hillary Clinton was the head of the State Department. Clinton was found to have been taking top secret documents out of a SCIF, intentionally having her staff cut off the top that said “top secret” and then fax the documents to her or send them to her on an open channel so she could have them on a server at home.

“That is a severe crime. Forget about that. Benghazi, forget about that. At some point, people believe that if you’re a D, you don’t have to worry about crime. If you’re an R, you really have to look out,” Glenn says.

Glenn is incredibly concerned as to what this means for the future of America.

“Did you ever think for speaking out, you could be arrested? It’s coming. It’s already happening to some. You speak out against pro-life, you speak out for Donald Trump. Imagine being an attorney for Donald Trump,” Glenn says.

He believes we’re being sent a message, and it’s not a pretty one.

“You’re going to jail. We will bankrupt you. We will destroy you,” he says.

New CDC director Mandy Cohen wants the agency to build trust with Americans

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Dr. Mandy Cohen, who recently stepped into the role, has acknowledged that the agency lost some of the public's trust in the past few years. But she has indicated that she intends to "refocus" the agency "on building that trust."

In an interview with NBC News' Erika Edwards, Cohen said that during her first all-hands meeting with the agency, "the first thing we talked about was trust."

"For us to be strong as a nation we need to make sure that we trust each other," she said, adding that the issue concerns "public health, but it's about so much more than that." She said that life expectancy in the country is decreasing.

New CDC director discusses handling distrust in agency www.youtube.com

Back in 2020, Cohen posted a photo of herself wearing a face mask plastered with a photo of Dr. Anthony Fauci's face.

"Did you know it’s #WorldMaskWeek? Face coverings are one of our strongest tools to slow the spread of #COVID19 in our communities... and like my Dr. Fauci mask, they can be fun too! Join me in masking up this week & beyond – every time you leave the house," Cohen wrote when sharing the photo.

President Joe Biden tapped Cohen to serve in the CDC director role that had previously been filled by Dr. Rochelle Walensky.

"Dr. Cohen is one of the nation’s top physicians and health leaders with experience leading large and complex organizations, and a proven track-record protecting Americans’ health and safety," the president said in a statement.

Biden's reported CDC director pick previously posted a photo of herself wearing a mask with Fauci's face on it

President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to tap Mandy Cohen, a former North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary, to serve as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In August 2020, Cohen shared a photo in which she can be seen sporting a face mask that features the image of then-National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci. In the tweet, Cohen urged people to wear masks whenever they left home.

"Did you know it’s #WorldMaskWeek? Face coverings are one of our strongest tools to slow the spread of #COVID19 in our communities... and like my Dr. Fauci mask, they can be fun too! Join me in masking up this week & beyond – every time you leave the house," Cohen tweeted.

Cohen has previously served in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services under the Obama administration.

CDC director Rochelle Walensky plans to step down at the end of June.

Walensky, a COVID-19 vaccine-promoter, tested positive last year, then proceeded to take a course of Paxlovid, test negative, and then test positive again.

"CDC Director Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky experienced mild symptoms from her recent COVID-19 infection, completed a course of Paxlovid, and, after a period of isolation, tested negative for the virus. On Sunday, Dr. Walensky began to develop mild symptoms and has again tested positive," the CDC noted in a press release last year.

Biden claimed in a statement last month that "Walensky leaves CDC a stronger institution, better positioned to confront health threats and protect Americans" and that she "saved lives with her steadfast and unwavering focus on the health of every American."

China dismisses FBI director's admission that Wuhan lab is 'most likely' origin of COVID-19, hounds Elon Musk over lab-leak claim

FBI Director Christopher Wray admitted during an interview Tuesday that the bureau has long suspected the COVID-19 pandemic to have been the result of a lab incident in Wuhan, China — a possibility the Chinese Communist Party, Dr. Anthony Fauci, members of the media, and so-called experts have spent years downplaying.

CCP apparatchiks lashed out, suggesting that Wray's recognition of Beijing's possible culpability hurt American credibility.

A CCP-run propaganda outfit similarly lashed out at Twitter CEO Elon Musk over his circulation of a report concerning the lab-leak theory, intimating that doing so may have consequences.

These two incidents, which occurred just hours apart, signal Beijing's growing sensitivity amid mounting Western certainty about the CCP's hand in the deaths of tens of millions of people worldwide.

The FBI's delayed admission

In his Tuesday interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Wray confirmed a suggestion made in a recent Wall Street Journal report: that the FBI had determined with "moderate confidence" in 2021 that the pandemic was likely the result of a lab leak and maintains this view.

In the same report, the Journal detailed how the Department of Energy has confirmed that it similarly suspects COVID-19 leaked from a communist Chinese lab.

"The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan," Wray told Baier. "Here you are talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab."

“Just in: In case there was any remaining doubt that the US intelligence community is actively promoting the COVID lab leak theory, FBI Director Christopher Wray has now voiced his support for the theory.
https://t.co/W1fdfeje8x”
— Michael P Senger (@Michael P Senger) 1677629637

Extra to its possible responsibility for a global pandemic, FBI Director Wray suggested that the CCP has been hard at work on a cover-up, seeking to undermine international efforts to ascertain the origins of the COVID-19 virus.

"I will just make the observation that the Chinese government, it seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here, the work that we’re doing, the work that our U.S. government and close foreign partners are doing. And that’s unfortunate for everybody," said Wray.

TheBlaze previously reported that extra to possible culpability over the potential manufacture and release of the virus (i.e., at the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab), Chinese authorities also delayed warning the world about the emergence of the deadly disease, going to great lengths to silence doctors like the late Lie Wenliang, who tried to raise the alarm.

Communist officials waited until Dec. 31 to alert the World Health Organization, then claimed, "The disease is preventable and controllable."

A Five Eyes intelligence dossier accused the CCP in May 2020 of engaging in an "assault on international transparency" to the "endangerment of other countries," reported the New York Post.

The intelligence dossier indicated that the genocidal Chinese regime had scrambled to bury evidence of the virus and its origins, "destroying" lab samples, censoring evidence of spread, and denying sample requests from other countries.

Marty Makary, a professor of public health policy at John Hopkins University, told Congress Tuesday it is a "no-brainer" that a Chinese lab was responsible for the pandemic, reported Newsweek.

"The epicenter of the world [coronavirus pandemic] is five miles from one of the only high-level virology labs in China. The doctors initially were arrested and forced to sign non-disclosure gag documents," said Makary. "The lab reports have been destroyed; they've not been turned over. The sequence reported from the lab to the NIH database were deleted by a request from Chinese scientists that called over early on and said, 'Delete those sequences we put in the database.'"

More denial from Beijing

The Associated Press reported that the Chinese regime's foreign ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning claimed Tuesday that "by rehashing the lab-leak theory, the U.S. will not succeed in discrediting China, and instead, it will only hurt its own credibility."

Ning said, "We urge the U.S. to respect science and facts ... stop turning origin tracing into something about politics and intelligence, and stop disrupting social solidarity and origins cooperation."

Despite China having barred entry to members of the World Health Organization team investigating the outbreak in early 2021, destroyed evidence about the outbreak, and silenced whistleblowers, Ning claimed that China has been "open and transparent" in the quest for answers about COVID-19 and has "shared the most data and research results on virus tracing and made important contributions to global virus tracing research."

Wray was not the only target of the CCP's ire over the renewed interest in the lab-leak theory.

Broken pots

The investigative journalist behind the Substack Kanekoa News tweeted a video compilation concerning Fauci's alleged funding of gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Lab and lies about having done so before Congress.

Noting that "now both the FBI & the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan lab," Kanekoa asked, "Does that mean Dr. Anthony Fauci funded the development of COVID-19?"

Elon Musk, who previously suggested that his pronouns were "Prosecute/Fauci," responded, "He did it via a pass-through organization (EcoHealth)."

“@KanekoaTheGreat He did it via a pass-through organization (EcoHealth)”
— kanekoa.substack.com (@kanekoa.substack.com) 1677436709

As a result of Musk's participation in this particular discussion concerning the "likely" Wuhan lab origins of the virus, the Global Times, a CCP propaganda paper, threatened the tech magnate, suggesting he could be "breaking the pot of China."

CNBC's Eunice Yoon noted that this expression is the Chinese equivalent of "biting the hand that feeds you," likely intimating there could be repercussions, given that China is Tesla's second-largest market and the company has considerable assets in the country, including its factory campus in Shanghai.

Yoon indicated that the Global Times also wrote, "Some may think @elonmusk made those remarks only to attack Fauci," but the posts he retweeted "almost all link the origins of #Covid19 to China and the argument is repeatedly used by the US right wing and anti-China media hostile to China to frame #China."

“#China Communist Party paper warns @elonmusk against pushing #COVID19 lab leak theory. @globaltimesnews posts on social media “Elon Musk, are you breaking the pot of China?” (“Breaking the pot after eating” is Chinese “biting the hand that feeds you.”) https://t.co/iWmMZAOiGt”
— Eunice Yoon (@Eunice Yoon) 1677563235

Some in Washington suspect that this international battle for the truth is backgrounded by a far more significant struggle.

Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) emphasized Tuesday during the first hearing of the House select committee on China, which he chairs, that China cannot be trusted and must be taken deadly seriously: "We may call this a 'strategic competition,' but it's not a polite tennis match. ... This is an existential struggle over what life will look like in the 21st century — and the most fundamental freedoms are at stake."

H.R. McMaster testified before the committee, saying, "You could say that the Chinese Communist Party is the Harry Houdini of Marxist Leninist regimes, the David Copperfield of communism, the Criss Angel of autocracy, but the magic is fading. There's really no excuse any more for being fooled about Beijing's intentions."

CDC announces potential 'safety concern' related to Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and strokes

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced a "signal" related to whether there is a problem with ischemic stroke in individuals ages 65 and above who have had the updated Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 jab.

"Following the availability and use of the updated (bivalent) COVID-19 vaccines, CDC’s Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD), a near real-time surveillance system, met the statistical criteria to prompt additional investigation into whether there was a safety concern for ischemic stroke in people ages 65 and older who received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent. Rapid-response investigation of the signal in the VSD raised a question of whether people 65 and older who have received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent were more likely to have an ischemic stroke in the 21 days following vaccination compared with days 22-44 following vaccination," a press release states.

"This preliminary signal has not been identified with the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent. There also may be other confounding factors contributing to the signal identified in the VSD that merit further investigation. Furthermore, it is important to note that, to date, no other safety systems have shown a similar signal and multiple subsequent analyses have not validated this signal," the agency added. "Although the totality of the data currently suggests that it is very unlikely that the signal in VSD represents a true clinical risk, we believe it is important to share this information with the public," the press release states. "CDC and FDA will continue to evaluate additional data from these and other vaccine safety systems."

The press release listed various other considerations which did not indicate an elevated ischemic stroke risk related to the vaccine.

"A large study of updated (bivalent) vaccines (from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) using the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services database revealed no increased risk of ischemic stroke," the press release stated. "A preliminary study using the Veterans Affairs database did not indicate an increased risk of ischemic stroke following an updated (bivalent) vaccine."

"The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) managed by CDC and FDA has not seen an increase in reporting of ischemic strokes following the updated (bivalent) vaccine," the press release added. "Pfizer-BioNTech’s global safety database has not indicated a signal for ischemic stroke with the updated (bivalent) vaccine."

The CDC is still advising that individuals ages 6 months and above should keep up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations.

"Pfizer and BioNTech have been made aware of limited reports of ischemic stroke that have been observed in the CDC Vaccine Safety DataLink (VSD) database in people 65 and older following vaccination with the Omicron BA.4/BA.5-adapted bivalent COVID-19 Vaccine by Pfizer and BioNTech," a Pfizer spokesperson noted in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"Neither Pfizer and BioNTech nor the CDC or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have observed similar findings across numerous other monitoring systems in the U.S. and globally and there is no evidence to conclude that ischemic stroke is associated with the use of the companies’ COVID-19 vaccines," the Pfizer spokesperson added, according to the outlet. "Compared to published incidence rates of ischemic stroke in this older population, the companies to date have observed a lower number of reported ischemic strokes following the vaccination with the Omicron BA.4/BA.5-adapted bivalent vaccine. The CDC continues to recommend vaccination with the Pfizer-BioNTech Omicron BA.4/BA.5-adapted bivalent COVID-19 vaccine for all authorized ages and indications."

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky tested positive for COVID-19 in October 2022, after having already received an updated bivalent COVID-19 shot in September. She then took Paxlovid, tested negative, but then tested positive again.

"COVID-19 vaccines may not prevent every infection, but they do provide us important protection against severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. My updated #COVID19 vaccine helped ensure my immune system was equipped to protect me against severe illness," Walensky said in a November tweet on the @CDCDirector Twitter account.

Get a COVID-19 booster so that you can safely go eat donuts, LA Public Health urges

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is making a questionable pitch for COVID-19 booster shots by urging the public to get jabbed so that they can safely head out to eat donuts.

"REDISCOVER YOUR MIDNIGHT CRAVINGS," text declares on a photo of Randy's Donuts, an establishment located in Inglewood, California. "Indulge Safely, Get Boosted."

LA Public Health's tweet included English and Spanish versions of the graphic.

The text of the tweet is in Spanish, but according to a translation, it says, "Where will you rediscover your midnight cravings? Visit http://vacunatelosangeles.com for information on mask use, tests, immunizations, and medications. So you can safely enjoy while having a bite!"

— LA Public Health (@LA Public Health) 1669684025

In another tweet, the department drew a bizarre parallel between upgrading to a newer phone and getting an updated COVID-19 booster shot.

"You've updated your phone – why not update your booster?" the department tweeted.

“You’ve updated your phone – why not update your booster?

Updated boosters work against the original COVID strain & new strains like omicron & can be taken at least 2 months after any primary series or booster.

Find a location to get boosted at https://t.co/UVkFi7uO8G.”

"COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States are effective at protecting people from getting seriously ill, being hospitalized, and dying. As with other vaccine-preventable diseases, you are protected best from COVID-19 when you stay up to date with the recommended vaccinations, including recommended boosters," the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention asserts.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky tested positive for COVID-19 last month, took a course of Paxlovid, tested negative, but then tested positive again — she had received an updated vaccine shot in September.

"COVID-19 vaccines may not prevent every infection, but they do provide us important protection against severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. My updated #COVID19 vaccine helped ensure my immune system was equipped to protect me against severe illness," Walensky tweeted earlier this month.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who had received a bivalent booster, tested positive earlier this month after returning from Egypt.

"I am very grateful to be experiencing only mild symptoms after being fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, including the latest bivalent booster," the Democratic governor said in a statement. "I especially encourage all New Mexicans to get the latest bivalent COVID-19 booster in order to stay best protected," she said in the statement.
