Rod Stewart's wife banned him from being friends with Trump: 'He's a disgrace'

Generational pop star Sir Rod Stewart said that his wife banned him from being friends with Donald Trump despite living down the road from the former president and frequently attending his get-togethers.

According to multiple outlets, Stewart revealed the information in an interview with Scottish Field magazine and stated that his wife believes Trump to be a "disgrace."

The 78-year-old's wife, Penny Lancaster, is a former lingerie model who was featured in a televised dance competition series. The 52-year-old is also a special constable for the London Police.

"I have a house in Palm Beach just up the road from Trump," Stewart mentioned. "I used to go to his Christmas party and the balls he held, but my wife said 'no.' There was stuff he was coming out with, what he was saying about women he had known in the past, and Penny said 'you're not going – he's a disgrace,'" the singer told the outlet.

According to the Daily Mail, Stewart and Trump are neighbors in an exclusive Palm Beach, Florida, area, and have been friends for decades.

The singer and Trump have been photographed together over the years, including with Stewart's former wife Rachel Hunter, as well as alongside musician Kenny G at Trump's Mar-A-Lago in 1998.

In 2018, Stewart said he had known "Trump for a long time. I've done concerts for him in his casinos. I live probably three-quarters of a mile down the road from him on the beach in Florida."

"He's always been extremely nice to me. He's let my friends use his golf course for nothing, and I've had no problems with him at all," Stewart added.

But Stewart wasn't the biggest fan of Trump the president: "Is he a great president? Nah. I think his moral compass is way off. But on the other hand the country's doing extremely well, although I believe part of that was down to president Obama – the country was starting to do great anyway, he's just carrying it on," he explained.

In 2020, after then-President Trump removed the United States from the Paris climate accord, Stewart said during an interview on Virgin Radio that he thinks "global warming is going to spoil the Earth."

“Blimey, so we need rock ‘n’ roll more than ever,” the host responded.

“Yeah we do," Stewart said. "With that prick in the White House pulling out of the Paris accord, that’s terrible.”

Stewart's interview Scottish Field does not appear to be published online; however the singer announced a new whiskey in the publication, themed after his song 1991 song "Rhythm of My Heart."

Family photo at Disney World turns violent after another family refuses to move out of the way

Tensions between two families erupted into an all-out brawl at Disney World after one group refused to allow the other to take an unobstructed family photo.

Around 2:30 on Monday afternoon, an unidentified family group was strolling about Disney World near Orlando, Florida. Once inside the Magic Kingdom, the family decided to take a group photo in front of a sign and decorative garden arrangement marking Disney's 100th anniversary, which the park is celebrating throughout 2023. However, the family soon had a problem: A larger family had stepped into the same spot, preventing the first family from taking a photo of just themselves.

According to reports, the first family asked the second family to kindly step aside during the photo, but a man in the second family responded to the request by decking a member of the first family in the face. Within seconds, members of both factions broke out into fist fight interspersed with incoherent shouting and foul language. Someone called the cops, and park employees requested backup as they rushed over to the scene to try and separate the two camps.

As so often happens these days, area bystanders quickly pulled out their cell phones to capture the brawl on video and then share those videos on social media:

Another video from the WFLD-TV news report seen below shows one man on the ground as another man lands several blows to his head and body. After the attacker left, the man remained seated, looking dazed, exhausted, and unable to stand. One person was treated for injuries at the scene but declined to press charges. It is unclear whether the man on the ground was the injured party.

In all, at least eight adults were involved in the melee, and two young children stood nearby, WJXT reported, and according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, at least two members of the larger family were removed from the park. None of the names of the participants has been released.

NBA All-Star seemingly caught on video flashing a gun, just months after being suspended for brandishing firearm on Instagram

NBA All-Star Ja Morant was reportedly caught on video flashing a gun on video. The incident happened just months after the 23-year-old Memphis Grizzlies star was suspended by the NBA for brandishing a firearm on Instagram.

Morant did an Instagram Live video on Saturday of him in a vehicle with a friend listening and dancing to a hip-hop song by rapper NBA YoungBoy. During the Instagram video, Morant is seen quickly flashing what appears to be a handgun.

No comment on the situation has yet been made by Morant, the Grizzlies, or the NBA.

This incident comes just months after a similar predicament. Morant went on Instagram Live at 5 a.m. on March 4. The NBA player live-streamed video from a nightclub in Denver, Colorado. During the video, Morant is seen brandishing a gun.

The NBA suspended Morant for eight games without pay for the gun in the club incident.

Morant also underwent counseling in Florida.

"I went there to counseling to learn how to manage stress," Morant said. "Cope with stress in a positive way, instead of ways I've tried to deal with it before that caused me to make mistakes."

Morant also declared in March, "I’m completely sorry for that. So, you know, my job now is, like I said, to be more responsible, more smarter, and don’t cause any of that no more."

At the time, Morant deactivated his Instagram and Twitter accounts – both social media pages have since been restored.

In July 2022, Morant signed a 5-year contract worth $194 million, giving him an annual average salary of $38,860,000, according to Sportrac – a website that provides salaries of professional athletes.

Morant has endorsement deals with brands like Wendy’s, Bodyarmour, Uber Eats, Powerade, PSD, and Hyperice that are "potentially worth hundreds of millions more," according to Sports Illustrated.

Following the gun incident, Nike released a statement that read: "We appreciate Ja's accountability and that he is taking the time to get the help he needs. We support his prioritization of his well-being."

Peter Doocy confronts White House over dubious claim about immigration — and things quickly get tense

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy confronted the Biden administration on Tuesday over its claim that illegal immigration has decreased by more than 90%.

What is the claim?

On Monday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that under President Joe Biden's leadership, illegal immigration has declined sharply — by "more than 90%."

"When it comes to illegal migration, you've seen it come down by more than 90%, and that’s because of the actions that this president has taken," she claimed.

What happened with Doocy?

The "more than 90%" claim received a lot of attention, but no follow-up at Monday's press briefing. So on Tuesday, Doocy took it upon himself to ask Jean-Pierre exactly from where she derived that figure.

"Where did that number come from?" he asked, noting that Customs and Border Protection says that illegal migration has increased compared to last year.

Jean-Pierre began speaking over Doocy, then chided him, saying, "If the dramatics could come down a little bit."

"What's dramatic about asking a question about —" Doocy shot back, when Jean-Pierre interrupted him again.

"I was speaking to the parolee program," she said. "As you know, the president put in place a parolee program to deal with certain countries on ways that we can limit illegal migration. And the data has shown us that it has gone down by more than 90%. That was what I was speaking to."

When Doocy attempted to respond, Jean-Pierre refused to let him speak and moved to a different reporter.

Where did that number come from?"

JEAN-PIERRE: "If the dramatics could come down a little bit..."

DOOCY: "What's dramatic about asking a question?"

JEAN-PIERRE: "I…”
— Daily Caller (@Daily Caller) 1683051792

It's true, according to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, that immigration numbers from countries in the parolee program improved — but that improvement was offset by increasing migration from countries not in the program.

"There was a window of time earlier this year where encounters with Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, and Cubans did temporarily dip 90% after a policy change, but other countries, like China, shot up over 800%. Illegal crossings, including Venezuelans, back at peak highs now," Melugin explained.

In fact, when Biden announced the parolee program about four months ago, Melugin predicted the Biden administration would use the program control the optics of the border crisis while simultaneously exacerbating it.

"This new policy will almost certainly reduce *recorded* monthly border crossing numbers because these nationalities are crossing in massive numbers," he explained in January. "However, migrants not eligible for parole will have no incentive to turn themselves in now, & will evade as 'gotaways'."

Indeed, on the same day that Jean-Pierre claimed immigration had improved, the Border Patrol announced that more than 22,000 migrants had been apprehended in the previous 72 hours.

'Ticketmaster for illegal immigrants': Josh Hawley accuses DHS of providing app for illegal migrants to enter the country

'Ticketmaster for illegal immigrants': Josh Hawley accuses DHS of providing app for illegal migrants to enter the country

Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri demanded answers from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently, questioning the government official about an app that the senator described as a "concierge service" for illegal immigrants looking to enter the country.

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sec. Mayorkas fielded a series of questions from lawmakers about the border, including from Senator Hawley, as well as Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

"I'm going to quote from your own fact sheet," the senator began.

"It allows, and I quote, 'non-citizens without appropriate documents for admission to schedule an appointment to come to the border.' They can now go on their phone and schedule a time to come to the border and then be admitted, and you identified seven separate border points of entry where they could come," Hawley explained.

"It's like a concierge service for illegal immigrants. ... You didn't think the Border crisis was bad enough that now we're going to have an app that allows illegals to schedule their appointments and come and be admitted to this country?" the senator asked.

DHS Secretary Mayorkas denied the characterization of the application, called Login.Gov, which is described on its website as "a secure sign in service used by the public to sign in to participating government agencies."

Mayorkas proceeded to tell Hawley that the process to which he believes the senator is referring to is a special, "urgent humanitarian" exception that directs immigrants to the points of entry for emergency relief.

"There is a process for individuals who claim an exception to the Title 42 expulsion authority because of an acute medical condition — an urgent humanitarian reason. So, instead of them coming in between the ports of entry to claim that urgent medical condition, that extraordinarily acute humanitarian cause," the secretary explained, "we allow a limited number to arrive at our ports of entry and seek the emergency relief that they need," Mayorkas added.

Senator Hawley then claimed that the app was "changed" on January 5, 2023, making it available to illegal immigrants, saying "you don't have to be a lawyer to use it, you don't have to be a member of a non-governmental organization, anybody can download the app and use it on their phone, and for the first time you allowed them to schedule appointments," Hawley said.

In another viral clip, the Missouri Republican accused the government body of providing a type of "Tickermaster for illegal immigrants," rather than "building a wall."

The DHS secretary claimed that the senator and his news source were "mistaken."

Daily Wire CEO licks Hershey's with a tasty alternative to 'woke chocolate companies that hate you'

Jeremy Boreing, co-founder of the Daily Wire, responded to a controversial Hershey's Canada ad featuring a transgender activist by launching an unapologetically gender-specific rival to the chocolate giant's bars.

"We have two kinds: SheHer and HeHim," said Boreing, in the 48-second ad. "One of them has nuts. If you need me to tell you which one it is, keep giving your money to Hershey's."

Boreing encouraged consumers to stop "giving your money to woke corporations that hate you" in the brief ad released Friday.

Daily Wire personalities Michael Knowles and Brett Cooper flank Boreing as he walks onto the set to display the new product.

Daily Wire reported they had officially sold more than 200,000 bars in a Saturday afternoon tweet.

“We've officially sold more than 200,000 Jeremy's Chocolate bars and it's still climbing. Let's keep it going.

https://t.co/pf5NnLcosp”

"Nothing is sweeter than truth," account @JeremysRazors tweeted in response. Jeremy's Razors, an alternative to Harry's Razors, is another company born of Boreing's capitalism-driven approach to directly challenging woke companies via old fashioned competition. His approach is simple: offer consumers an alternative to turning over heaps of cash to corporations that mock them and actively work against their most cherished values.

The websites for Hershey's and the Harry's alternatives are strategically easy to remember: ihateharrys.com and ihatehersheys.com.

"Does Hershey's even know what a woman is?" Brett Cooper asked in an Instagram post Friday.

The Hershey's Canada ad that sparked the unusual offering involved Fae Johnstone and four women whom the company chose to represent the face of its International Women's Day campaign called #HERforShe.

International Women's Day is March 8.

On its website, Hershey's Canada describes Johnstone, a biological man, as "a leading voice in the conversation around Canada's 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, advocating for transgender rights and banning conversion practices."

2sLGBTQIA+ is an acronym for two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and unspecified other categories.

The five, limited edition specialty bars with "Her for She" wrappers feature the names and artistically rendered faces of the people chosen for to represent the campaign.

Hershey's Canada shared the longer spot with the chosen five in an unlisted video on its YouTube channel. The video featuring Johnstone alone is also unlisted. The company links to both on its website.

"We can create a world where everyone is able to live in public space as their honest and authentic selves," Johnstone says in the individual spot.

The video announcing the offering garnered more than 4.3 million views since it aired Friday. Watch Boreing introduce the company's HeHim and SheHer varieties of Jeremy's Chocolate below.

Joy Behar shocks 'The View' co-hosts with accusation against DA who charged Alec Baldwin — and it's not even true

Joy Behar actually suggested on "The View" Friday that a New Mexico prosecutor criminally charged Alec Baldwin because she is a "big Republican."

"The DA who is indicting him, or whatever the legal term is right now, she's a big Republican. I'm only saying this because Alec Baldwin is a target for Republicans," Behar said. "They cannot stand him.

"I'm not saying anything more than that," Behar boasted, throwing her hands into the air with a smirk on her face.

As Behar was making her accusation, the camera panned out and showed the reaction of co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin and guest co-host Rachel Lindsay. Both women were obviously disgusted at the claim. They rolled their eyes and immediately challenged it.

“Joy Behar: "The DA who is indicting him...She's a big Republican. I'm only saying this because Alec Baldwin is a target for Republicans...I'm just saying."”
— Daily Caller (@Daily Caller) 1674231505

Other than to posture Baldwin as a victim, it's not clear why Behar would attack the prosecutor who charged him.

In fact, contrary to Behar's claim, New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies is not a "big Republican" — she is a registered Democrat.

Carmack-Altwies announced Thursday criminal charges against Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust" in 2021. Both were charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Anything else?

Earlier in the episode, Behar appeared to defend Baldwin by absolving him of responsibility for checking the on-set firearms for live ammunition.

But as Griffin pointed out, Baldwin appeared to have demonstrated a significant amount of "negligence" leading up to the shooting of Hutchins, which is why Carmack-Altwies ultimately brought charges against him.

Moreover, Lindsay, an attorney, added that Carmack-Altwies must believe she has a significant shot of winning in court because she likely would not have brought charges against him given the high-profile nature of the case unless the evidence against Baldwin is overwhelming.

Guess what a left-wing Fox News personality said AR-15 stands for

Geraldo Rivera, a left-wing Fox News Channel personality, suggested on "The Five" that the "AR" in "AR-15" stands for "automatic rifle" — he gave the answer after Greg Gutfeld asked Rivera what "AR"stands for.

Rivera suggested that owning an AR-15 is about people being macho and claimed that there is not a legitimate purpose for owning one, aside from perhaps being used in sport clubs.

"Those most passionate about 'gun control' tend to know the least about guns," the Daily Caller tweeted when sharing a clip of Rivera.

“Greg Gutfeld: "What does 'AR' stand for?"

Geraldo Rivera: "It is automatic rifle."

Greg Gutfeld: "No, that's not what it is."

Geraldo Rivera: "All I know is AR-15s have no place in American society."

Those most passionate about 'gun control' tend to know the least about guns”
— Daily Caller (@Daily Caller) 1673997494

"Heard the Daily Caller and fellow travelers are ranting about my incorrect definition on-air of 'AR' as in AR-15. Whatever. Point is, there is no place (other than sporting clubs and similar skilled settings) for assault rifles. They're substitute appendages," Rivera tweeted.

NPR has indicated that the "AR" traces back to, ArmaLite, Inc. and stands for ArmaLite Rifle.

The modern AR-15-style weapons made by gun manufacturers are semi-automatic — the guns have become a significant point of societal debate, with opponents often referring to them as "assault weapons" and calling for them to be banned.

Back in 2021, Rivera suggested that Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York "outshines every other member of Congress in eloquence and passionate sincerity."

And last year, the left-leaning TV personality described then-Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, a Republican, as "a once-in-a-generation stand up hero." Cheney, who voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, lost her 2022 GOP primary and departed from office earlier this year. She was one of the two Republican lawmakers who served on the House select committee that investigated the Jan. 6 episode.

CNN's Don Lemon gets triggered when guest calls out CNN for driving fear, division to sell ads: 'There's nothing fake about CNN!'

CNN anchor Don Lemon became defensive on Monday after a documentary filmmaker called out CNN while being interviewed live on CNN.

Filmmaker Andrew Callaghan appeared on "CNN This Morning" to discuss his forthcoming documentary on Jan. 6. The film, titled "This Place Rules," debuts Dec. 30 on HBO.

When Lemon pressed Callaghan on his interactions with Enrique Tarrio, a leader of the Proud Boys who is facing seditious conspiracy charges related to Jan. 6, Callaghan bluntly informed Lemon that his film is not just about Jan. 6. It also covers the role that media, including CNN, played in constructing an "echo chamber."

"No details about his involvement, his state of mind, or anything?" Lemon asked, referring to Tarrio.

"The movie's not just about like the Capitol riot and all that," Callaghan shot back. "It's also about like media echo chamber and like the dangers of the 24-hour news cycle.

"And how, I think, mainstream media — like Fox and even CNN — competes for views by running constant 24-hour news cycles based upon fear, division, outrage, and panic, probably to sell ads," he explained.

Lemon wasted no time registering his frustration with Callaghan's criticism of CNN and the media in general.

"First of all, I don't agree with what you're saying," Lemon responded. "But I'm not exactly sure of how that played into people going into the Capitol and rioting on Jan. 6.

"There's nothing fake about CNN!" Lemon exclaimed

"I'm not saying, like, fake news," Callaghan pushed back. "I'm just saying, ramping people up and increasing division during that period of time. Just watching people kind of fall down the rabbit hole and be pushed into action — yes, falling down the conspiracy rabbit hole."

“Don Lemon: "There's nothing fake about CNN."”
— Daily Caller (@Daily Caller) 1671491007

Lemon, instead, was anxious to detract from the media's role in Jan. 6 to blame former President Donald Trump. Lemon claimed without evidence that "more people" would blame Trump for what happened on Jan. 6 than the media.
