Heart-racing dashcam video shows trooper miraculously cheat death during brutal traffic stop crash: 'Difficult to watch'

A viral dashcam video shows the moment an Oklahoma trooper narrowly avoided disaster after a car smashed into a vehicle that had been pulled over by the law enforcement officer. Miraculously, there were no severe injuries from the devastating car crash that happened during the traffic stop.

Trooper Jesse Gregory with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol pulled over a white SUV on Jan. 18. Gregory was on the passenger side of the SUV and speaking to the driver.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a black SUV zooming down the highway violently slammed into the car. Debris from the forceful collision flew into the air, and the trooper was launched into the grass from the impact of the car crash. Despite being involved in the brutal collision, Gregory was able to jump to his feet and can be seen in the dashcam video running out of frame.

Gregory told KWTV-DT, "And after watching the video, I don't even remember barrel-rolling to my feet."

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol described the police dashcam footage of the terrifying car crash as "difficult to watch."

The trooper said, "Hopefully this is my scare of the career."

The crash is being investigated, and it has yet to be determined whether the vehicle that plowed into the stationary car had been speeding.

Luckily, all three people in the accident had not only survived the car crash but had already been "treated and released," according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Trooper Gregory said he is "ready to come back" to work.

He admitted, "And just kind of work through it because I know it's going to take a little bit mentally to come back."

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said in a post on Facebook that it had posted the shocking video to remind the public of "distracted or impaired driving and the importance of the slow down, move over law."

"We are in the middle of a distracted driving emphasis right now in honor of Trooper Nicholas Dees, who lost his life in the line of duty after being struck by a distracted driver," the Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated.

Trooper Nicholas Dees was investigating a tractor-trailer accident around 10 p.m. on Jan, 31, 2015, when he was struck and killed by a distracted driver. The driver was reportedly updating his social media while driving and killed Dees in the line of duty. The driver was charged with manslaughter and sentenced to five years in prison.

Ironically, Gregory was involved in another police traffic stop crash that happened just weeks ago.

On Jan. 5, Canadian County Deputy Jose Mendoza was tossed to the ground after a pickup truck barreled into the vehicle that had been pulled over to the shoulder. Gregory is seen in the police dashcam footage rushing to provide Mendoza with assistance.

Gregory said, "He was struck in the exact same situation. I was less than a mile from him, and I was actually first on scene and called for help."

Mendoza and the others involved in the car accident all survived and suffered varying levels of injuries.

The Canadian County Sheriff's Office said Mendoza is recovering in a long-term rehabilitation facility.

Terrifying video shows jet plane crash into traffic on expressway in Malaysia

At least 10 people were killed when a private jet plane crashed into traffic on an expressway in Malaysia on Thursday.

On Thursday, a private jet plane took off from Langkawi International Airport on the island of Langkawi in the state of Kedah in Malaysia. The plane was traveling to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia said in a statement.

"First contact made by the aircraft with Subang Air Traffic Control Tower was at 2.47 p.m. [local time (2.47 a.m. ET)] and landing clearance was given at 2:48 p.m.," according to the statement. At 2:51 p.m., the "control tower observed smoke originating from the crash site but no mayday call was made by the aircraft."

The private plane crashed onto an expressway north of Malaysia's capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The Beechcraft model 390 twin-engine plane was carrying six passengers and two flight crew when it crashed.

The flight was operated by private jet services company Jet Valet, Reuters reported.

Selangor Police Head Hussein Omar Khan said the plane collided with a car and a motorcycle, each carrying one person.

"Forensic personnel are in the process of collecting the remains and will bring them to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem examination and identification process,” Khan said, according to CNN.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said, "No one survived the crash. Victims (on the road) will also still need to be identified, will update in due time. Forensic confirmation needs to be taken."

There are multiple videos of the plane crash.

Video recorded on the dashcam of a car that passed on the other side of the expressway shows the moment that the plane crashed followed by huge flames bursting across the highway.

A surveillance camera shows the plane plummeting onto the highway and causing a large fireball. The sound wave caused the camera to shake despite being at a far distance from the crash.

The Ministry of Transport is investigating the crash.

Footage shows loose tire send Kia Soul flying above LA freeway

A Kia Soul was sent flying heavenward in an accident Thursday in Los Angeles. While the hatchback's ascent over the 118 Freeway was not ultimately rapturous, there may have been something providential about its return to earth, granted that the driver managed to walk away in one piece.

Anoop Khatra witnessed the crash, having trailed behind the Kia at a distance in his Tesla. Khatra's dash camera managed to capture the Kia Soul's aerial acrobatics.

The Kia can be seen in the footage speeding along the left lane. As it progressed, over to the right, a high-clearance silver pickup can be seen signaling a drift into the lane one-over.

Just as the dark Kia drew up parallel to the pickup, the truck's front left wheel popped off and rolled immediately in front of the hatchback.

While the pickup dropped down onto its driver's side rim, the Kia and its driver were sprung at least 10 feet into the air by the loose tire, which had remained upright and continued to spin.

After roughly three seconds of air time and rolling clockwise, the Kia unceremoniously hit the freeway nose-first and upside down. It then completed one more longitudinal roll before grinding to a halt.

To add insult to injury, the truck tire responsible for the Kia's initial liftoff caught up with the wreck and struck it in the rear.

While the debris and glass shed by the Kia settled, the pickup completed its trek to the far side of the freeway.

Khatra tweeted, "Surprisingly the driver of the Kia was actually able to walk away from this unharmed."

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that there were no major injuries resultant of this accident, reported the Telegraph.

KABC-TV indicated that sheared-off lug nuts apparently led to the tire's initial detachment from the pickup truck.

Shocking dashcam video shows driver opening fire on passing vehicle in Miami road rage incident

Shocking footage from a vehicle's dash camera shows a driver pulling a handgun from his center console before firing nearly a dozen shots at a passing vehicle while traveling on a major highway.

The apparent road rage incident took place last summer in Miami-Dade County, Florida, WTVJ-TV reported on Friday. But video of the incident has only just surfaced in media reports after being released to police by the defendant as part of the investigation.

The video was reportedly first obtained by Miami-based radio host Andy Slater.

According to police reports filed at the time of the incident, 30-year-old Eric Popper of Deerfield Beach was traveling southbound on I-95 early in the morning on June 21, 2021, when he changed lanes and abruptly cut off another driver.

Then, after the other driver honked his horn, Popper allegedly shouted, "Oh, f*** off" and aggressively applied his brakes.

"The victim tailgated the defendant for a short time and made hand gestures out of his driver’s window. In the video, the defendant is seen retrieving a handgun from his center console and pointing it towards his driver’s door," the police report read, according to WFOR-TV.

"When the defendant begins to pass the victim on the right, the defendant points the handgun towards his right-front passenger door. As the victim passes the defendant, he throws and strikes the victim’s vehicle with an unknown object," the report added.

Popper is then seen firing eleven shots at the passing vehicle, striking it multiple times.

Dashcam video from inside driver's car shows him shooting during road rage incident www.youtube.com

Popper has claimed that he was acting in self-defense. In another dashcam video, he can be heard saying, "I was just shot at. My car was hit," adding, "I returned fire back at the individual."

But the victim reportedly claimed that he did not have a gun but rather threw a water bottle at Popper's vehicle. Amazingly, neither of the drivers was injured in the exchange. Both called police to report the incident after it occurred.

Popper voluntarily turned himself in to the Florida Highway Patrol in July but has since bonded out of custody, WLPG-TV reported. He is reportedly facing several felony charges, including aggressive assault with a firearm and shooting/throwing a deadly missile.

At the time of the incident, Popper worked as a civilian fire inspector with Miami Beach. He has since resigned from his position.

Popper's lawyer, Robert Gershman, confirmed the video to WTVJ and told the outlet he believes the footage exonerates his client.

"You hear a bang on Mr. Popper's car, akin to a gunshot, which precipitated the whole incident, so in this matter, the audio and video evidence we believe exonerates him," Gershman said.
