'Whiny' Kamala Harris teases presidential run despite polling worse than the Rock

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has teased another presidential run despite her historic 2024 loss and widespread unpopularity.

Even after her brutal electoral loss in November, Harris said in a recent interview that her political career was "not done" and that serving in public office was "in [her] bones."

'They put you as an outsider, even behind Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson.'

"I am not done," Harris said. "I have lived my entire career a life of service, and it's in my bones, and there are many ways to serve."

"I have not decided yet what I will do in the future beyond what I am doing right now."

Although Harris teased the idea of being the first female president, the interviewer gave her a blunt reality check. The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg pushed back, pointing out that she's simply not popular enough to be a politically viable candidate.

"But when you look at the bookies' odds, they put you as an outsider, even behind Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson," Kuenssberg said. "I mean, is that underestimating you?"

"I think there are all kinds of polls that will tell you a variety of things," Harris said. "I've never listened to polls. If I listened to polls, I would have not run for my first office or my second office. And I certainly wouldn't be sitting here in this interview."

Losing to Trump in all seven swing states and in the popular vote indicated a resounding rejection from the American people. Even still, Harris seems to remain hopeful of the presidency, which critics attribute to simple self-delusion.

"Kamala came across as a whiny, delusional, angry and bitter woman who cannot accept that she was a terrible candidate who got the shellacking she deserved at the ballot box," Piers Morgan said in a post on X. "No chance she ever gets another go at it."

Although Harris made clear that preliminary polls won't deter her from weighing her options, the failed candidate may have some stiff competition.

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom of California also hinted at a presidential bid in a recent interview with CBS, saying he would be lying if he didn't acknowledge the possibility.

"Who the hell knows?" Newsom said. "I'm looking forward to who presents themselves in 2028 and who meets that moment. That's the question for the American people."

When pressed about whether he would consider running after the 2026 midterms, Newsom admitted that it was a real possibility.

"Yeah, I'd be lying otherwise," Newsom replied.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson declares he won't endorse Biden in 2024 election over big regret he had in supporting him in 2020

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson proclaimed that he wouldn't be endorsing President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election — a stark contrast to when the 51-year-old Hollywood actor pledged all of his support to Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020.

In a Fox News interview, Johnson said that he regretted endorsing Biden in 2020 because it caused "an incredible amount of division in our country."

"The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time," Johnson told host Will Cain in an interview released on Friday.

"I thought, 'I'm in this position where I have some influence, and I felt it was my job then to exercise my influence [and] share: This is who I’m going to endorse.'" he said.

"I was then the most-followed man in the world, and am today, and I appreciate that … but what that caused was something that tears me up in my guts — which is division. That got me," the massively popular celebrity continued. "I didn’t realize that then; I just felt like there was a lot of unrest, and I’d like things to calm down.”

Johnson stressed, "The takeaway after that was it caused an incredible amount of division. I realize now, going into this election, I will not do that. My goal is to bring this country together. I believe in that."

The former WWE wrestler declared that there "will be no endorsement" in the 2024 presidential election, which seemingly will be between Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Johnson noted that he would instead keep his politics to himself because of the "level of influence" that he possesses. He added, "It is between me and the ballot box."

The Rock revealed, "But I will tell you this: Like a lot of us out there, not trusting of all politicians, I do trust the American people and whoever they vote for that is my president and who I will support 100 percent."

When asked if he was content with the state of the country at the moment, Johnson replied, "Today's cancel culture, woke culture, division, etcetera — that really bugs me. In the spirit of that, you either succumb to that and be what other people want you to be, or you be yourself and be real. … And that might make people upset and piss people off, and that’s OK.”

Cain also asked Johnson if he ever plans on running for president, and he responded, "No, that’s not my intention. I’m not a politician."

Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Johnson not only endorsed Biden but interviewed him and Harris in a video that was promoted by the Biden campaign.

"As a political independent and centrist for many years, I've voted for Democrats in the past and as well as Republicans," Johnson said in the video posted on several social media platforms in September 2020. "In this critical election, I believe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the best to lead our country, and as my first ever (public) presidential endorsement, I proudly endorse them for the presidential office of our United States."

Johnson praised Biden and Harris as both "experienced to lead." He also described Harris as a "certified badass."

The endorsement video racked up more than 4.4 million views on Facebook and over 8 million views on Instagram.

In an interview with Joe Rogan in November, The Rock said he has friends who support Biden and others who rally around Trump.

However, Rogan got Johnson to acknowledge that his friends really don't support Biden, but rather the Democratic Party.

Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson admits he stole Snickers from 7-Eleven daily at age 14, says he went and bought all the Snickers 'to right this wrong'

Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson went to a 7-Eleven in Hawaii and bought all of the Snickers bars — the celebrity admitted that as a teen, he had stolen a king size Snickers bar every day for nearly a year, but claimed that he "finally got back home to right this wrong."

"I finally exorcised this d*** chocolate demon that’s been gnawing at me for decades," he wrote in an Instagram post.

"I was broke as hell, so I used to steal a king sized @snickers EVERY DAY from 7-11 for almost a year when I was 14yrs old, on my way to the gym," he noted.

"The same clerk was there every day and always just turned her head and never busted me," Johnson explained. "I've exercised a few big demons over the years (I still have a few left;) so I know this one seems VERY SILLY, but every time I come back home to Hawaii and drive by 7-11… I always knew I needed to go in and clean out every Snickers bar they had - the right way."

In a video, Johnson appeared to purchase items for other shoppers, and he indicated that he was going to leave his bag of Snickers behind, instructing the employees to give the bars to anyone who appeared to be stealing Snickers.

"And as a bonus it was a lot of fun to take care of everybody who walked into 7-11 while I was there. Least I could do considering all the s*** I used to steal from here," he wrote. "We can’t change the past and some of the dumb stuff we may have done, but every once in a while we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation — and maybe put a big smile on some stranger's faces."

What's The Rock cooking? Potentially a presidential campaign

Beloved movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be planning a presidential run.

Mick Mulvaney, Donald Trump’s chief of staff from January 2019 to March 2020, said that he thinks Johnson is a serious contender in a potential Republican primary race in 2024.

When asked who he thinks “could mount a serious challenge to Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP primary,” Mulvaney told Politico that few people stand a chance at beating Trump in a Republican primary, but that a short list of people could present themselves as serious challengers to Trump in 2024, The Wrap reported.

Mulvaney said, “DeSantis could give him a run for his money. Tim Scott can give him a run for his money. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson could give him a run for his money. It’s a short list.”

Johnson has publicly flirted with the idea of running for president for years, and has hobnobbed with members of the political elite, but stopped short of declaring himself a member of either major party.

In the past, Johnson has attended Republican events and could be tied to Republican campaigns, but most recently he declared his support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 presidential election while labeling himself a “political independent and centrist.”

Trump has continued to tease a presidential run in 2024, stopping short of making any official announcements or commitments that would make him subject to campaign finance regulations.

Insider reported that in a recent interview, Trump said, “I don’t want to comment on running, but I think a lot of people are to be very happy about my decision because it’s a little boring now.”

Trump said, “If I ran, I can’t imagine they’d want me to run, some out of loyalty would have a hard time running. I think that most of those people, and almost every name you mentioned, is there because of me. In some cases, because I backed them and endorsed them.”

In 2021, Johnson spoke with Vanity Fair about his potential political debut.

In the interview, Johnson said, “At the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I care deeply about our country.”

Newsweek reported that Johnson said, “Core values matter. Work hard, take care of your family, be kind to people, take pride in your name, take pride in your own two hands, be inclusive and respect EVERYONE and don’t be full of s***.”
