Four toddlers savagely stabbed by Syrian asylum-seeker in French playground rampage now in stable condition

A 31-year-old Syrian asylum-seeker slashed his way through a French park and into a playground Thursday, trying desperately to butcher every child within reach.

Four toddlers, between the ages of 1 and 3, were cut up along with two adults, ages 70 and 78. Despite their life-threatening wounds, all victims survived, though two remain in critical condition.

The attacker, identified as Abdalmasih H., moved from Syria to Sweden in 2013, where he married a native Swede whom he previously met in Turkey. The couple, who have a 3-year-old together, recently split up, reported the Telegraph.

The attacker, recently fined for simultaneously claiming a student grant and unemployment support, had his asylum request granted in Sweden in April 2023, though made clear he'd prefer to live in France, having submitted an asylum bid to that effect in November 2022.

While French authorities rejected his asylum request on April 26, his approved claim in Sweden enabled the attacker to travel throughout the European Union passport-free, reported Sky News.

Thursday morning, just days after the attacker was notified his asylum request had been rejected, he reportedly stalked his victims in the Paquier park on the shores of Lake Annecy.

A witness, identified as Ferdinand, told the broadcaster BFMTV that after the attacker entered the playground, "he started screaming, he walked towards the strollers and started repeatedly stabbing the little ones."

The attacker, wearing a headscarf, can be seen in footage of the incident circling the playground and brandishing a long knife then tangling with a 24-year-old man with a backpack who attempted to block his way.

The 24-year-old, a man named Henri on a tour of France's cathedrals, was under the mistaken impression the attacker was merely trying to steal a purse until he saw the suspect slash the children, reported the New York Times.

Henri attempted to intervene, but the attacker managed to chase down then slash a woman pushing a stroller. Unlike a number of the male passersby, the woman put up a tremendous fight, protecting the baby in the stroller then grappling with the knife-wielding maniac.

Despite the woman's efforts, the Syrian asylum-seeker managed to land a few stabs into the stroller.

The attacker made a couple more passes through the playground before fleeing with Henri hot on his heels and four badly injured toddlers in his wake.

Two of the young victims were French, one was British, and the other was Dutch, according to lead prosecutor Line Bonnet-Mathis.

French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said that all four children underwent surgery and are "under constant medical surveillance" but remain in stable condition, reported NBC News.

The attacker, chased by Henri and others, made his way into an open field where law enforcement intercepted him.

"When he saw that he was surrounded by the police, he went to a couple and he stabbed the elderly person," Ferdinand told BFMTV.

The attacker managed to stab a 78-year-old six times.

Former Liverpool footballer Anthony Le Tallec, who was jogging around Lake Annecy at the time, recalled, "I said to the police, ‘Shoot him, kill him! He’s stabbing everyone,'" reported the Associated Press.

BFMTV indicated that the 78-year-old was caught in the crossfire, catching a bullet from police as they attempted to subdue the attacker. Police managed to put a bullet in the attacker as well, hitting him in the leg.

The arrest was caught on video:

Henri said, "It is profoundly un-Christian to attack the vulnerable. The entire Christian civilisation on which our country is built is a knightly message to defend widows and orphans," reported the Independent.

French National Assembly Speaker Yael Braun-Pivet said there is "nothing more abominable than to attack children."

French President Emmanuel Macron, who last year pushed for asylum-seekers to be spread to the country's rural areas rather than ejected, stressed that his administration was "working hard to welcome these refugees" and said the "nation is in shock," calling the attack one of "absolute cowardice."

A nauseating video of the attacker's attempted massacre briefly went viral on social media; however, there has been a concerted effort to remove and suppress it.

Various accounts that had posted the video on Twitter — including conservative commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek, Radio Genova, French politician Damien Rieu, and news outfit Visegrád 24 — indicated the platform had deleted the video or forced them to do so.

While the gruesome evidence of yet another European knife attack was being scrubbed online, liberal media outlets appeared to downplay critical details about the attacker's identity.

The Twitter account End Wokeness highlighted a common omission in mainstream media reports on the Syrian asylum-seeker's attack:

“4 kids and 2 adults were just stabbed at a playground in Annecy, France

The attacker was a Syrian refugee but the media conveniently buries that detail”

France has suffered a number of knife attacks by foreign nationals in recent years, including the October 2020 beheading of French secondary school teacher Samuel Paty in Paris by Abdoullakh Abouyezidovich Anzorov, an 18-year-old Islamic refugee of Chechen origin.

The South China Morning Post indicated that this latest attack will prompt greater scrutiny of France's immigration and asylum policy, particularly with mounting pressure from right-wing politicians.

Eric Ciotti, head of the French Republicans party, said, "The investigation will determine what happened, but it seems like the culprit has the same profile that you see often in these attacks."

Furious residents in deep-blue Chicago lambaste city's plan to house hundreds of illegal immigrants in their neighborhood: 'Build the wall'

Chicago residents are furious that the city is planning on housing migrants in their neighborhood and are demanding politicians relocate the illegal immigrants somewhere else. The angry residents have filed a lawsuit in an attempt to stop the city of Chicago from housing migrants at a shuttered high school in the area.

The city of Chicago has planned to turn the shuttered South Shore High School into a respite center for illegal immigrants. The city plans to house 250 to 500 migrants at the high school. Currently, Chicago is temporarily housing hundreds of migrants in police stations across the city.

The high school is currently being used by the Chicago Police Department as a training center. The residents wanted the former high school to be transformed into a community center.

On May 4, residents of South Shore railed against the relocation of illegal immigrants into their community during a meeting with local politicians.

“What’s important is that we really establish this is humanitarian crisis, and we are here,” Chicago chief engagement officer Nubia William told the indignant crowd, according to WTTW.

An outraged resident fired back, "How could you do that without consulting us?"

An attendee said, "I am concerned with safety in the area."

Another local citizen asked, "Where is the money coming from? Migrants don’t pay taxes. I understand helping people, but you have to start with your own home. Why don’t we have those resources with what’s happening here."

Another added, "All of a sudden we have deep pockets for people who don't pay taxes. I understand helping people, but you start with your own home."

Someone yelled during the fiery meeting, "Put them on the North Side."

"We are not inhumane to people's plight. But we are looking at the reality of the world we live in and we think it's irresponsible to take a people whose community is already in disarray and place additional people without resources," explained Brian Mullins of the Black American Voter Project.

A resident in the Democrat-dominated area demanded, "Build the wall. Make a border."

One person in the crowd was holding a sign that read: "Build the wall 2024."

President Joe Biden overwhelmingly won Cook County by capturing 74% of the vote against Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

The frustrated residents of the deep-blue Chicago neighborhood have filed a lawsuit to prevent the city from housing illegal immigrants at the high school. A temporary injunction was issued.

In January 2019, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot declared that the Windy City "must be a sanctuary city."

"We’ve got to stand up to the Trump administration’s racist, anti-immigrant terror and make sure every Chicagoan is safe, regardless of citizenship status," the Democratic mayor of Chicago proclaimed.

However, Lightfoot issued an emergency declaration on Tuesday in response to illegal immigrants being transported to her city. The declaration was made on the same day that 48 migrants were sent to Chicago by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. Lightfoot claimed that the city's resources are "now stretched to the breaking point."

"We should all understand that this crisis will likely deepen before we see it get better, so as we move forward, the City of Chicago will have to bring additional locations online to prepare for the arrival of more individuals and families and to relieve Chicago Police Department districts," Lightfoot's office said in a press release. "The City of Chicago is in the midst of a national humanitarian crisis, and through a unified effort in accordance with its values as a welcoming city, Chicago is doing everything it can to respond to the urgency of this matter. The City has continued to call on federal and state governments to support the new arrival mission with much-needed additional funding and resources for emergency shelter and resettlement, as there are not enough resources currently to meet the need."

Lightfoot previously labeled Abbott a "racist" for transporting migrants to Chicago.

Lightfoot will be in office until May 15, when progressive Democrat Brandon Johnson replaces her as mayor of Chicago.

Johnson has already vowed to double down on Chicago embracing illegal immigrants.

Johnson’s campaign website bragged that his administration would "ensure law enforcement does not [cooperate] with ICE to arrest, detain or deport our migrant neighbors."

"Chicago is a sanctuary city. As such, we must always resist attempts to pit communities against each other and extend this sanctuary promise to everyone who needs it in our city – both long-time residents and newcomers alike," Johnson's site stated.

Johnson made several far-left campaign promises regarding immigration:

 • Increase dedicated funding to immigrant protection and integration, including the Immigrant Legal Protection Fund.
 • Leverage the collective brain trust of community groups, leaders, multiple city agencies to develop a comprehensive city plan for asylum seekers and other new arrivals.
 • Build permanent housing for all unhoused, including asylum seekers, by passing the Bring Chicago Home ordinance and enacting other pieces of the $1 billion Better Chicago Agenda.
 • Ensure that migrant and refugee parents and families have a voice in their children’s education by appointing members to a Chicago Board of Education Non-Citizen Advisory Board.
 • Work with Gov. J.B. Pritzker and the Illinois General Assembly in Springfield to pass legislation that will allow all parents and taxpayers to vote in school board elections, regardless of citizenship status.
 • Recruit and train enough teachers and clinicians to provide the capacity to support migrant and immigrant children, including bilingual professionals.
 • Enact a new city funding formula that accounts for language needs and the needs of migrant and refugee students.

Abbott said on Wednesday that Texas had transported more than 17,000 migrants to sanctuary cities, including 1,600 to Chicago.

Lightfoot claimed this week that Chicago received over 8,000 illegal immigrants since August 2022. She added that the migrants are currently being housed in seven shelters and three respite locations in Chicago.

Leftists fuming after Republican councilman identifies as an Indian woman to 'shatter that glass ceiling'

An Indiana Republican has enraged leftists and LGBT activists in his community by exposing the arbitrary and absurdist nature of social constructivism, having announced he is now an Indian woman.

Shattering the glass ceiling

Ryan Webb, formerly a councilman, now apparently a councilwoman in Muncie, Delaware County, announced on April 12 that after much consideration, he had "decided to come out" as his "true authentic self."

"It is with great relief that I announce to everyone that I identify as a woman and not just any woman but as a woman of color as well. I guess this would make me gay/lesbian as well, since I am attracted to women," Webb, a father of six, wrote in a Facebook post.

"Whew, that felt good to finally get that out there and start living life as my true self. I’m excited to bring some diversity to the county council. Until today we didn’t have any females of color or LGBTQIAPC+++ on the council. I’m glad that now we do!" he continued, adding, "To avoid confusion, everyone can continue to address me as Ryan or as Councilman Webb. I will also retain my my preferred pronouns of He/Him, however, this will in no way diminish my true identity as a woman of color. I’m excited to be a vocal partner of the LGBTQIAPC+++ movement."

Webb noted that his stunning transition was not only exciting but historic: "I am more than likely the very first lesbian woman of color in the history of Delaware County to ever serve on the Delaware county council. I am honored to be the one to shatter that glass ceiling."

Webb recently told Dale Jackson of WVNN that no one from the liberal media or Democratic establishment has yet contacted him to celebrate or discuss his achievement. He also indicated he has yet to receive an endorsement deal from a major brand.

Shattering leftist illogic

Charlize Jamieson, a 67-year-old transvestite in the council district, decried Webb's announcement, accusing the Republican of transphobia and bigotry, reported the Muncie Star Press.

Jamieson castigated Webb online, writing, "Was this really necessary? It's unbecoming of an elected official ... or a decent human being for that matter."

Webb asked Jamieson to extend the same compassion he had been given when coming out as a transvestite, writing, "When you decided to become a woman did people tell you it was unbecoming? Sorry pal but you don't get to be the decipher of who is acceptable and who isn't. I was hoping that you and I could be friends now that we're both ladies that used to be men. I'll give you some more time."

In a subsequent post, Jamieson appeared to provide criteria by which the authenticity of a transition claim ought to be judged: "Start dressing the part full time. Start hormone replacement treatment. Make a decision on surgery. Get your legal documents changed to reflect your gender. THEN, let's talk."

In the days following Webb's life-changing announcement, he and his family were reportedly targeted with death threats.

The councilman told WISH-TV, "Our family has been receiving violent threats throughout the day from intolerant liberals who refuse to accept my decision to live my life however I choose. I don’t really see how an interview will improve the situation."

Webb accused a leftist group called Indiana Progressives of organizing "a hate and harassment campaign against me and my family by publishing my address and encouraging people to unlawfully congregate at my home."

Indiana Progressives widely circulated Webb's announcement, writing, "County council member Ryan Webb mocks the LGBTQ community on Facebook. What a piece of s***! F*** you, Ryan Webb!

In response to the immediate backlash, Webb stressed that his "American Indian heritage is not of for debate. .... I hope that in the future those asking for tolerance and understanding are willing to give it in return and not just to those who they feel is worthy of it. Nobody has the authority to validate or invalidate any individual who chooses to identify a certain way."

Leftists seek to drive trans Indian out of office

The Muncie Star Press reported that the Delaware County Council convened on April 25 to take up, among other things, community members' demands for Webb's resignation.

Jamieson spoke out, once again denouncing Webb and misgendering him. He said that Webb's "words not only embarrass himself, but you, the county council."

A community member named J.M. DeAngelo said, "He may mind his manners here in this room, but his behavior online absolutely casts shame on this entire council."

The Burris Laboratory School chapter of the anti-Second Amendment group Students Demand Action called for Webb's resignation, suggesting that people like the councilman made life more difficult for people trying to figure out their identity.

A member of the group, Chelsea McDonnel, said, "With his facetious claim that he identifies as a woman of color ... he has made a mockery of his constituents, as well as his elected position and this council."

After various activists called for Webb to be removed from office, the councilman was finally given an opportunity to respond.

"You don't get to question me. You do not get to require proof from me. You were part of the movement that helped establish these rules and set the bar, OK?" said Webb. "You don't get to come later when someone else joins the club that you don't want in. ... You don't get to question how I identify."

— Kyle Becker (@Kyle Becker) 1682943659

Webb later accused his leftist critics of "perpetuating hate, intolerance and bigotry" toward him, noting that the backlash was "just another example of the intolerant Left and their ideology of contradictions."

The councilman has no intention of leaving the council, noting that capitulating now would "be an enormous disservice to the thousands of voters who chose me to be their representative."

Don Lemon out at CNN; 'stunned' former host blasts management in Twitter post

Don Lemon is out at CNN.

The cable network said in a Monday afternoon tweet that "CNN and Don have parted ways. Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors."

But Lemon leveled accusations against his former employer on Twitter:

— Don Lemon (@Don Lemon) 1682352854

"I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN," Lemon wrote. "I am stunned."

The former host continued: "After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear there are some larger issues at play. With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best."

But CNN shot back with another tweet disputing Lemon's claims: "Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate. He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter."

What's the background?

Lemon has long been polarizing figure on CNN and drew the ire of conservatives he regularly trashed — and lately he's managed to anger groups you wouldn't necessarily expect.

In February he apologized for comments about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley and women he considered out of their "prime" that many deemed "sexist" and "completely offensive." Some CNN staffers weren't buying his mea culpa, however.

Earlier this month, on the heels of a Variety exposé on Lemon's alleged history of misogynistic behavior, CNN dismissed the story on grounds that its sources are anonymous.

Lemon on Thursday interviewed the grandson of the suspected shooter of black teen Ralph Yarl, asking him if he believes his grandfather is racist. The grandson, Klint Ludwig, said he believes his grandfather holds "racist tendencies and beliefs." Lemon wanted more, and Ludwig added that "he’s just a stock, American, Christian male. [He's] older, you know, that’s just how they are." Lemon kept pressing for more details, and he got them.

"I feel like a lot of people of that generation are caught up in this 24-hour news cycle of fear and paranoia perpetuated by some other news stations," Ludwig told Lemon. "And he was fully into that, sitting and watching Fox News all day, every day blaring in his living room. And I think that stuff really kind of reinforces this negative view of minority groups and leads people to be all — that doesn’t necessarily lead people to be racist, but it reinforces and galvanizes racist people."

Anything else?

Last July Lemon said the media should not treat Democrats and Republicans as equals because the GOP is "very dangerous to our society," and in September he defended President Joe Biden's "semi-fascism" term to describe "MAGA Republicans," arguing Biden's words were "unifying" because some believe they are "true."

Not long after his Biden comments, CNN announced that Lemon's prime-time show would be ending and that he was joining a new morning show with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins.

He continued with his left-wing commentary, suggesting the vast wealth inherited by King Charles III after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, should be spent on reparations for descendants of the victims of the African slave trade — after which a British commentator raked him over the coals.

Later in September as Hurricane Ian was hitting Florida's west coast, Lemon tried and failed to get an expert from the National Hurricane Center to blame the storm's intensity on climate change.

In October he wrapped up an emotional finale of his prime-time program by telling viewers that "I was not always perfect" — as well as sniffling and fighting back tears — and got roundly mocked for it.

Leftist throws grandfather — suspected of shooting black teen — under the bus as a racist on CNN: 'He’s just a stock, American, Christian male ... that's just how they are'

A young man appeared with Don Lemon on CNN and excoriated his own grandfather as a racist on account of his age, race, and Christian beliefs.

On Thursday, Klint Ludwig, 28, appeared with Don Lemon on CNN's morning show to discuss his grandfather, 84-year-old Andrew Lester. On the night of April 13, Lester allegedly shot Ralph Yarl, a 16-year-old black kid, after Yarl reportedly either rang the doorbell at or attempted to enter Lester's residence in Kansas City, Missouri, mistaking it for someone else's home. Yarl, who is recovering from gunshot injuries to his head and arm, later denied trying to enter the residence and claimed that Lester warned him, "Don't come around here."

Lester has been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He pled not guilty and told police that he was "scared to death" that Yarl — who is younger, bigger, and stronger than he is — was trying to break into his home. He said that shooting Yarl was "the last thing he wanted to do."

Yarl's family and his attorneys have argued that Lester was motivated by racial animus to shoot Yarl. Klint Ludwig, Lester's grandson, wholeheartedly agrees. Ludwig told Lemon that his grandfather harbors "racist tendencies and beliefs." When Lemon pressed him to explain his reasoning, Ludwig pointed to his grandfather's demographics.

"He’s just a stock, American, Christian male. [He's] older, you know, that’s just how they are," Ludwig replied.

Ludwig's comments appeared to make Lemon either uncomfortable or curious because he continued to press for more specifics. Ludwig obliged by claiming that his grandfather is an adamant supporter of former President Donald Trump, that he regularly watches Fox News, and that he backs "Stand Your Ground" laws such as those in Missouri and Florida.

"I feel like a lot of people of that generation are caught up in this 24-hour news cycle of fear and paranoia perpetuated by some other news stations," Ludwig told Lemon. "And he was fully into that, sitting and watching Fox News all day, every day blaring in his living room.

"And I think that stuff really kind of reinforces this negative view of minority groups and leads people to be all — that doesn’t necessarily lead people to be racist, but it reinforces and galvanizes racist people," Ludwig added.

— End Wokeness (@End Wokeness) 1682010453

Ludwig later claimed that Lester had also fallen prey to "conspiracies" regarding QAnon and the 2020 presidential election. He also claimed that Lester evinced racist tendencies by commenting on the abortion rates among black women, but did not explain why such comments were racist. According to data released by the CDC, at 39%, black women represented the largest ethnic or racial group of women who abort their unborn children in 2020.

When Lemon asked why Ludwig was willing to denounce his own grandfather on TV as a racist, Ludwig claimed, "It's the right thing to do." He insisted that Yarl "deserves justice." "In this country, it happens over and over again where people get away with killing unarmed innocent black people," Ludwig asserted. Ludwig also credited controversial race activist Sean King with making his grandfather's case a national story.

Daniel Ludwig, Klint's brother and another of Lester's grandsons, has elsewhere stood up for his grandfather, claiming that Lester's side of the story hasn't been reported and that the characterization of Lester as a racist is unfair. While Klint Ludwig stated that his brother was entitled to his opinions, he disagreed with them. Klint Ludwig told Lemon that there had long been "warning signs" about his grandfather's latent racism.

"I wasn't shocked when I heard the news," Klint Ludwig claimed. Ludwig also added that he and his grandfather, who once had a close relationship, had since become estranged from one another. "I think that it was more his choice than mine," Ludwig said.

The entire exchange between Ludwig and Lemon can be viewed below:

Video: Hundreds of teens flood Chicago, cars smashed, driver attacked, 2 teenagers shot

Hundreds of teenagers flooded into the streets of Chicago on Saturday night. In response to the chaos, hundreds of police officers were dispatched to the downtown area after there several cars were damaged by the teenagers.

Around 8 p.m., the mob of teens attempted to storm into Millennium Park. However, people under 21 are not allowed access to the park without being accompanied by an adult.

The horde of teens forced police to escort tourists and locals back to their cars at the Millennium Park garage.

Teens also reportedly attempted to force their way inside the Art Institute of Chicago in an attempted "teen takeover."

Officers from the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department, EMS, and SWAT teams were dispatched to the area.

Rowdy teens smashed the windows of several cars by jumping on the vehicles – including a police cruiser.

Video shows a vehicle being set on fire.

A man sitting in the driver's seat of his car was injured and taken to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a group of teens beat him as they smashed his vehicle.

Leftist Canadian party seeks to create anti-free-speech zones around drag performances, punish 'offensive remarks' with $25,000 fines

A Canadian political party has introduced legislation that would create anti-free-speech zones around drag shows and punish anyone caught making remarks deemed "offensive" by LGBT activists while in the vicinity.

The Ontario New Democratic Party is a radical leftist party that serves as the official opposition in the conservative-run province of Ontario. One of its parliamentary members, Kristyn Wong-Tam, chair of the city of Toronto's 2SLGBTQ+ Community Advisory Committee, held a press conference Tuesday, urging the Ontario government to spare men masquerading as women from criticism and to clamp down on free speech.

"The topic that brings us here is deadly serious," said Wong-Tam, a woman who refers to herself with plural pronouns. "The rise of hate and violence facing the 2SLGBTQI-plus communities, including the drag artists, happening across Ontario and right [across] the nation has been alarming."

Canadian state media noted that hate crimes (e.g., verbal or written statements of a hateful nature) allegedly motivated by sexual orientation increased from 258 in 2020 to 423 in 2021. Statistics Canada previously indicated that 1 million of the nation's 39 million residents identify as members of the "LGBTQ" community.

Alluding to American protests targeting drag shows and recent efforts by Canadians to follow suit, Wong-Tam claimed, "Drag artists, their audiences, the businesses and the facilities that host those drag performances have been put at risk."

Jon Dobbie, whose drag name is "Crystal Quartz," appeared in a woman costume at the press conference beside Wong-Tam. He claimed that after doing drag performances for kids, he faced criticism online.

"They then started showing up to all of my events, screaming at parents and myself saying they were groomers, pedophiles and a bunch of other homophobic slurs to make everyone there feel unsafe to attend," said Dobbie. "These acts of intimidation now made our safe spaces feel unsafe."

"Unless we put forward a strategy to protect them, Ontario's social, economic and cultural richness is under attack," added Wong-Tam. "We have to protect that."

To this end, Wong-Tam seeks give the state the power to create 100-meter LGBT bubble zones wherever it deems fit, wherein "any homophobic, transphobic act of intimidation, threat, offensive threats, offensive remarks, protest, disturbance, and distribution of hate propaganda within the meaning of the criminal code."

The penalty for creating a disturbance or issuing what are perceived to be offensive remarks inside such a zone would be $25,000 CDN ($18,581.42 USD).

It is already a criminal offense in Canada to incite hatred against any identifiable group; however, the Criminal Code states, "No person shall be convicted of an offence ... if he establishes that the statements communicated were true; ... if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text; ... if the statements were relevant to any subject of public interest, the discussion of which was for the public benefit, and if on reasonable grounds he believed them to be true; or ... if, in good faith, he intended to point out, for the purpose of removal, matters producing or tending to produce feelings of hatred toward an identifiable group in Canada."

In the event this legislation is passed, it is unclear whether offensive remarks that would not constitute criminal offenses under federal law could nevertheless be punished.

The legislation notes that disturbances and so-called hate propaganda are to be understood "within the meaning of the Criminal Code"; however, offensive remarks "with respect to matters of social orientation or gender roles" are not so clearly defined.

Furthermore, it is unclear who will ultimately determine what would constitute an offensive remark or a disturbance and whether, as in the case of sexual assault accusations brought before the Ontario Human Rights Commission, an accuser will only have president evidence that the comments "more likely than not" took place — as opposed to meet the "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard.

While Wong-Tam intimated that the legislation is intended to protect drag performances in particular, the bill itself makes no such specification. It appears as though Ontario's attorney general would be able to arbitrarily designate "2SLGBTQI+ community safety zones" for "a specified period of time."

The name and address of the "community safety zone" must be provided, but there is otherwise no specified limit to the size of these zones (but for the circumferential 100-meter bubble) and the duration of their recognition.

Despite prohibiting offensive remarks and oppositional language, the bill states, "For greater certainty, nothing in this Act prevents peaceful protests or demonstrations."

There is precedent for anti-free-speech zones in Ontario.

The former Liberal government, which lost official party status after a crushing defeat in the 2018 general election, had created bubble zones around abortion sites, reported Canadian state media.

— End Wokeness (@End Wokeness) 1680671137

In addition to creating the anti-free-speech zones, the legislation calls for the establishment of an Ontario "2SLGBTQI+ Safety Advisory Committee."

The vice chair for this committee must be "a member of the Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex or other sexually or gender diverse community."

Among this proposed committee's duties will be ensuring that the education curriculum is to the liking of LGBT activists.

Terence Kernaghan, an LGBT activist also with the NDP, said in a statement, "The government must support this legislation and put a stop to the alarming rise in hateful action against drag artists and 2SLGBTQI+ community. This bill is especially important for drag performers in smaller communities like London and Sarnia, where artists have fewer places to perform and less protection."

Woody Harrelson's 'Saturday Night Live' COVID monologue riles elites; Musk calls it 'based'

Woody Harrelson's "Saturday Night Live" monologue garnered instant backlash and praise over commentary hinting at government's collusion with media and the medical industry to require COVID vaccines.

"So the movie goes like this," 61-year-old Harrelson begins. "The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes. And people can only come out if they take the cartel's drugs and keep taking them over and over."

Harrelson set up the bit by joking about a script he was reading in 2019 in Central Park while smoking marijuana.

He concluded the joke with, "I threw the script away. I mean, who was going to believe that crazy idea? Being forced to do drugs? I do that voluntarily all day."

Twitter CEO Elon Musk was quick to add his thoughts as social media approached meltdown over Harrelson's routine.

"So based. Nice work @nbcsnl!" Musk tweeted.

Musk also responded to users @EndWokeness and @ImMeme0 who commented on the media's instant, negative response to Harrelson suggesting media had colluded with government and the medical industry.

"Maybe they don't realize that their propaganda is wrong?" Musk tweeted.

Rolling Stone was out at 12:37 a.m. Sunday morning with a piece blasting Harrelson's monologue as "bizarre." In the piece, the author says Harrelson has a "history of strange anti-science remarks during the COVID pandemic."

The outlet tweeted about Harrelson's joke, saying it amounted to spreading "conspiracy theories."

Rolling Stone was joined by multiple left-leaning outlets in panning Harrelson's monologue. Others included Variety, the Daily Beast, and HuffPost. The tenor of the pieces was negative, and cast Harrelson's jokes as "anti-vax."

A native Texan and long time advocate of marijuana decriminalization, 61-year-old Harrelson was cast as character Woody on "Cheers" in 1982. He later starred in many hit films including "Doc Hollywood," "White Men Can't Jump," "Indecent Proposal," "No Country for Old Men," and "The Hunger Games."

Harrelson's latest film, "Champions," is coming to theaters on March 10, Movie Insider reports.

'Do something with your white privilege!' Disney cartoon rants about race, has children protest against riot police and topple statue

Disney+ cartoon "The Proud Family," a reboot of a 2001 fan favorite, launched into a lengthy diatribe about slavery, reparations, and white privilege in a 2023 episode entitled “Juneteenth.”

In the episode, a character named Maya discovers that her fictional town of Smithville was founded by a slave owner.

Maya is described as a "14-year-old activist" who was adopted by two men, and "never hesitates to shut anyone down with her honesty and wisdom."

In one scene, Maya organizes a child protest near a statue of the founder, coming face to face with riot police. The children chant about the town's founder, Richard A. Smith, saying they are taught incorrect history, chanting the phrase "Richard A. Smith, his legacy is a myth!”

As a man requests the officers to "please put these kids in cuffs," the riot police begin to approach the children. As the police get closer, the children chant, "Why are you in riot gear? We don't see no riot here!"

A father of one of the children, a black man, tells a white man "they're going to arrest our babies" and asks him to "do something with your white privilege."

According to Florida Jolt, the town topples the statue of the founder, renaming the town Emilyville, after a slave who worked on the founder's plantation.

Another episode of the show has the students performing a play about slavery, telling the audience that "slaves built this country."

The performance includes sentiments that say President Lincoln did not free the slaves, America was founded on "white supremacy," and additional themes about "illuminati and new world order."

An excerpt of the scene reads as follows:

"We, the descendants of slaves in America, have earned reparations for their suffering … and continue to earn reparations every moment we spend submerged in a systemic prejudice, racism, and white supremacy that America was founded with and still has not atoned for.”

The scene, which also pushes the "hands up, don't shoot" narrative, shows shocked women who appear to be judging the performance, ending with the audience giving an uproar of applause in approval.

"This is made to divide and make people angry," says Eric Butler, political commentator and writer for the Tatum Report.

"It manipulates children; if they're not angry about other narratives, at least they'll be angry about racism," he added.

The "Proud Family" reboot is in its second season, with the original production consisting of 52 episodes in two seasons spanning four years.

'Lowest of the low': Looters pillage Buffalo while police are distracted saving lives and digging up bodies

For many, the blizzard that recently struck Buffalo, burying the city in 43 inches of snow and leaving tens of thousands without power, meant tragedy, particularly for the families of the 27 who perished in freezing whiteout conditions. For others, the wicked storm has meant opportunity.

Stores have been ransacked, businesses looted, and homes burgled by roving looters whom Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown has called the "lowest of the low."

Whereas some have suggested that looters were driven to crime as a result of necessity, WGRZ reported that in most cases, essential items were forgone and luxury items prioritized.

What are the details?

Since the storm hit in full force on Friday, police have been focused on saving lives, recovering the bodies of victims, and tackling the immobilizing snow, suggested Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia.

Looters evidently seized upon the distraction provided by the deadly blizzard, which Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz called the "worst storm probably in our lifetime."

Numerous videos of the looters' alleged exploits have been shared to social media.

Video has been released of the Nickel City Liquor store's break-in. The owner reportedly noted that the looters responsible have "cheap and bad taste."

“Last night Nickel City Liquor in Buffalo was broken into & robbed. $500 worth of alcohol stolen.

Owner had to sleep there, unable to board it up. He said “they have cheap & bad taste.””

In another video shared to Twitter, looters weighed down with ill-gotten goods can be seen pouring out of a Family Dollar store:

Looters also reportedly raided Rick's Sports Apparel, smashing its windows and emptying it of items of value.

Patrick Cichocki, one of the owners of Camellia Meats, told WGRZ that looters were "breaking into the Rent to Own, they're taking TV sets."

An employee at Camellia Meats said, "It's heartbreaking. When this is all over the community will have nowhere to go to get the things they need."

Pastor Al Robinson of the Spirit of Truth Urban Ministry confirmed the community impact of this thievery, telling WKBW that the very businesses vulnerable families rely upon have been pillaged, leaving them in the lurch.

"These people, I just don't understand why they just don't care about their neighbor," said Robinson.

Police began resuming their normal duties on Monday, indicated Gramaglia, although search and rescue operations will continue.

"We have made a few arrests. We have intervened in some of those. We've assisted with at least one location that I am aware of in getting a store boarded up, so our officers are out there," said Gramaglia.

BPD spokesman Mike DeGeorge noted that police will be monitoring social media and "reviewing video and posts in an effort to make arrests."

Buffalo's mayor minced no words when calling out those responsible.

Brown said, "People who are out looting when people are losing their lives in this harsh winter storm, it's just absolutely reprehensible. I don't know how these people can even live with themselves, how they can look at themselves in the mirror."

Brown noted that the "people taking advantage of a natural disaster to take what they want from retailers" are "also potentially putting those services at risk in the communities where they are looting."

According to Daniel Neaverth Jr., commissioner of the county's Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, the looting of gas stations has left a number of them inoperable. As a result, the fueling pumps are not working and first responders will be unable to fuel up, reported the Buffalo News.

"So that ambulance that is maybe just going to go a block to refuel now has to go to a facility sometimes outside of the city of Buffalo to be refueled," said Neaverth.

Poloncarz said he was "absolutely devastated to see that many deaths and then to find out that there's looting going on in our community at the same time we're still recovering bodies is just horrible."

Whereas the mayor and other community leaders have denounced the looters, Advocates for Justice attorney Nate McMurray suggested that those questioning the motives and ethics of the looters destroying local businesses should "shut up," intimating that the rampant theft of nonessential items is socio-economically justifiable.

“I just saw a wealthy white guy online say about the looting in Buffalo…

“Why don’t they take pride in their communities?”

Do me a favor. Move there. Live on the average income in the East Side. Survive a snowstorm without a grocery store nearby, let alone a plow.

Or shut up.”
— Nate McMurray (@Nate McMurray) 1672071255

Mayor Brown made clear that the criminal elements taking advantage of the tragedy that has befallen Buffalo are "not looting food and medicines, they're just looting items that they want so these aren't even people in distress; these are people that are taking advantage of a natural disaster."
