THIS lesson from the 1970s rings true TODAY

There’s no doubt that 2023 has been chaotic, and for those born after the '70s, it’s been the most chaotic year yet.

But Glenn Beck remembers the '70s, and their own struggles weren't a far cry from the trials and tribulations of today: economic turmoil, despair, an energy crisis, and rampant crime.

Not only that but a growing disbelief in America.

“People were hopeless, disillusioned. They stopped believing in America. They stopped believing that things will get better,” Glenn says, noting that in 1978, he heard something that inspired him and many others.

And it’s something that he believes still rings true.

That is Aaron Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait,” featuring Henry Fonda — which Glenn has revamped to match the current tumultuous times.

“One of the greatest American composers, Aaron Copland, joined with Henry Fonda just to remind Americans of who they were, where they came from,” Glenn says, adding, “Henry Fonda took to the stage and he spoke. He spoke of the dark times and the hope of Abraham Lincoln.”

Glenn embellishes the composition with a quote from Ronald Reagan: “In the quest for freedom, we unite against darkness. The darkness of tyranny. Our nation, a beacon of hope, stands resilient against the bullies of the world. We inherit not just a land but a legacy of freedom that we must defend with unwavering courage.”

“Let us be unafraid in the face of evil. Our unity is our strength, and in that strength lies the power to shape a world that cherishes freedom and justice. Our destiny is not predetermined, it is only crafted by our own hands, our hearts, and our unwavering spirit,” he continues.

Glenn ends the composition on a positive note.

“We will find strength to build a world where freedom, justice, and hope flourish for all,” he reads.

Glenn's message for the CHALLENGES we're about to face

According to Glenn Beck, this past week was one of the best and worst America has experienced yet.

While it might not seem like anything that’s happened this past week could possibly be good at first, he believes we have a lot to be grateful for because of it.

“We have seen the lies that many of us knew were lies laid bare for the world to see,” he says. “We have seen the brave step forward with nothing to hide yet a ton to fear, but we’ve also seen the deaths of man’s depravity, the arrogance of the elite, and the corruption of justice.”

Those who tell the truth have never been more important, especially as the “arrogant” elites indict former President Donald Trump for a third time.

“The forces of darkness may feel powerful and in charge right now, but they are merely the whispers and the shadows and the echoes of ancient lies. They will be defeated again, but only when the truth is no longer held captive by fear,” Glenn says.

Like those who fought for freedom before us — and won — we can’t let the bad, like the Biden Crime Family, stop us from pursuing that freedom.

“What the government is doing in my lifetime is a reflection of me,” Glenn continues, “if they answer to the people, which they no longer do.”

Now is the time to double down on truth and restore what we know to be self-evident.

“We need a reset. We need a rediscovery. We need a re-commitment. We need a restoration of truth, of God, and the power he gives each of us to rule over our own lives and our passions and our feelings.”

“I promise you we’ll weather the storm if we understand that it’s temporary, that our fear is not real. If we curse the storm after the storm, we haven’t learned a thing,” he adds.

Glenn believes that if we are grateful and continue to see the light despite the dark, we’ll come out better for it.

“I thank God for the storm.”

Glenn’s POWERFUL Memorial Day message: ‘The BEST OF US ALL’

While many use Memorial Day weekend to hit the beach, throw parties, and enjoy the warming weather, Glenn Beck is here to remind us all that Memorial Day means something a lot different for families all over the country.

“I hope that you’ve never experienced the story I’m about to tell you,” Glenn says, “but I also know there are thousands that have.”

He asks that his audience imagine the story from a first-person point of view.

“Your son has been in the United States Marine Corps for what seems like forever now. Only you and those that have their children deployed into a war zone know just why it seems like forever,” Glenn continues.

“What you don’t know yet is the most precious thing you hold dear — your son — just fell in combat 60 seconds ago. Military protocol is exact, and as you’re busy carrying out your day, this is what’s happening behind the scenes.”

First, Glenn explains, there will be a death notification that has to be executed within eight hours.

Officers will then deliver the notification to the next of kin. Three individuals will typically be chosen to arrive at your home. One will be an officer at least one rank higher than the deceased, one will be a chaplain, and one will be someone capable of delivering medical help should the next of kin pass out.

“This is Memorial Day weekend,” Glenn says.

“Two years after 9/11, 312 parents experienced what I just described in 2003 alone. In 2007, 847 military men and women died in combat. In 2008; 352. In 2009; 346. And the list and the numbers go on and on. And our Gold Star families have suffered every single tragedy.”

Glenn admits that he’s not trying to be a downer, but it’s important to remember what Memorial Day stands for.

“There is a sacredness to Memorial Day that most of us just cannot understand,” Glenn continues, “Memorial Day is for reverence and honoring those who sacrificed everything to ensure the American way of life endures forever.”

Glenn: Bud Light must say THIS to avoid company DESTRUCTION

Anheuser-Busch has seen better days.

Its leading beer, Bud Light, has seen massive drops in sales after the Dylan Mulvaney controversy, and they might be enough to tank the company for good.

But Glenn Beck thinks there’s a way the company can save itself.

He points out that the Human Rights Campaign uses something called the “CEI” or “Corporate Equality Index” to hold companies “hostage” to inserting leftist ideology into brands and advertisements.

If a company does not rank well, the Human Rights Campaign brings your score down.

Now, a pro-LGBT advocacy organization is pressuring Anheuser-Busch to publicly proclaim its support for transgender people because of all the negative attention it's received since enlisting Dylan Mulvaney to advertise Bud Light beer.

In a letter written to Budweiser, the pro-LGBT advocacy organization writes, “In this moment, it is absolutely critical for Anheuser-Busch to stand in solidarity with Dylan and the trans community.”

The letter continues, “However, when you are faced with anti-LGBTQ+ and transphobic criticism, the actions of Anheuser-Busch demonstrated a profound lack of fortitude in upholding its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion to employees, customers, shareholders, and the LGBTQ+ community.”

Beck has thought of a response for Budweiser.

“I think if Budweiser stood out and said, ‘You know what, we like the Clydesdales. We like America. We don’t have a problem with transgender people but we’re not going to be held hostage by anyone.’”

He continues, saying Budweiser should make it known they’re “a beer company, not a political company.”

“That beer would go through the roof.”

Glenn’s POWERFUL Nashville tragedy message: THIS is the way out

The devastating atrocity at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, is another testament to just how sick our society has become.

The shooter was a 28-year-old who was being treated for an emotional disorder and who identified as transgender. Her shooting spree left multiple people dead, including three children. But why did she do it? What’s causing it?

While the left will say it’s guns, Glenn Beck disagrees. He believes the cause is lack of “truth,” and he has a message for all Americans who are just as concerned as he is.

He asks, “When will we address mental health?”

“Do you know the damage that we have done to our children just because of COVID? The damage to their mental health? Look at the suicide rate. What is causing all of this?”

He continues, “We do not have a gun problem in America. Per capita, there were more guns a hundred years ago than there are right now. They didn’t have these problems. Is it the gun, or is it the people?”

He believes it’s the people. “What we have in America is a truth problem.”

But what’s the way out?

Beck says, “We must stand firm in the face of an ever-growing storm of disinformation, discord, division. The weak-hearted are not going to be able to weather this storm, but those with the courage to fight for what is true will emerge victorious.”

In the past, Americans had to fight outside forces, but Beck says that has changed.

“It’s not an external enemy that we have to conquer, but the internal divisions that are threatening to tear us apart — and those divisions that are created by monsters of men — who are not just tearing us apart individual from individual, but tearing us and our children apart from the inside out.”

“Everything we face is not insurmountable. But now is the time to return to truth and decency and justice for all. Our kids are the ones who are going to pay the highest of prices for what we do now.”
