Glenn: Why the Russia coup attempt may actually HELP Putin

Russia was in disarray over the weekend, and not because of Ukraine.

The chaos began when the Wagner Group — a private army of mercenaries who have fought alongside the Russian army in Ukraine — began charging toward Moscow in a full-scale coup attempt against Vladimir Putin.

While the Wagner Group, which was founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin, describes itself as a "private military company," the Russian government recently started taking steps which were seen as an attempt to rein it in.

However, as quickly as the coup began, it stopped.

And Glenn Beck is here to explain just what really happened, and why this may help Putin rather than hurt him.

The Wagner Group accused the top brass in the Russian military of attacking Prigozhin's troops with an airstrike, which led it to call for a coup.

“Things were getting a little real,” Glenn explains. “Every media outlet in the West was declaring a coup was about to topple Putin.”

However, that's when the president of Belarus stepped in to broker a deal and offered the Wagner’s leader sanctuary in Belarus.

“Then, all the fighters that were willing to die, like, just a few minutes ago signed contracts with the military in Russia, and they’re like, ‘Hey, we love you guys,’” Glenn explains.

Glenn has his theories on just why this started — and stopped — so quickly.

“I think the head of the Wagner Group wanted a media circus, not a coup. He wanted the two people that have been undermining Putin, his buddy, to be called out on the world stage. He wants them to be embarrassed,” Glenn says.

“Now, it’s reported that the deal may have been struck to oust the Russian defense minister and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs,” he continues. “So the Moscow boys get punished, and the Saint Petersburg kings win the day.”

“It almost sounds like this was great for Putin,” he adds.

It's a Russian TRAP: The American cost of helping Ukraine

Glenn Beck believes something has been off with the world’s reaction to the Ukraine invasion since the beginning.

Have you noticed how all the private corporations of the world have come together at an unprecedented level? They are now moving in tandem with world governments in the largest public-private partnership the world has ever seen. Now, McDonald's shut down all its restaurants in Russia. Why? Glenn says it doesn’t make sense unless you understand the Great Reset. And Russian oil just may be the last nail in the coffin to usher in the economic new world order.

On "Glenn TV" Wednesday, Glenn connects it all at the chalkboard and asks: How much are you willing to sacrifice to help Ukraine? Because those sacrifices are coming. Over half of Americans are already living paycheck to paycheck, but CNN says Americans are okay with paying higher prices if it means holding Russia accountable for its invasion of Ukraine.

Glenn retells the “Titanic” movie, but with Russians, oil prices, and an economic weapon of mass destruction. In this version of the story, the iceberg is still there and President Biden is steering us straight toward it.
