Why global elites have conditioned us to fear ‘conspiracies’

Is the idea of a “global cabal” just a conspiracy theory, or is there any truth to it?

Award-winning journalist Alex Newman thinks he may have an answer.

“I would say, first of all, there’s two ditches that one can fall into on these issues,” Newman tells Glenn Beck. “There’s the one ditch, and some people fall into this ditch, that these individuals, these organizations, are so powerful they practically attribute divine, God-like powers.”

“That’s ludicrous,” Newman continues. “They’re not God. They don’t control things.”

The other “ditch” people fall into when discussing the “global cabal” is that “‘there’s nothing to see here.’”

“It’s not just a nice non-partisan think tank,” Newman says, referencing the Council on Foreign Relations. While it's not just an innocent meeting of the minds, not every one of the elites involved is an “evildoing conspirator who wants to enslave humanity.”

“It’s a real group; it has been incredibly influential in setting policy in the United States for generations,” he explains.

While these global groups are full of many benevolent elites, they're also full of nefarious actors.

Glenn says that those behind it all feel that "the unwashed masses, they don’t understand."

So they need to get the media on their side.

“We’ll teach it to the media, so the media can help teach it to the people,” Glenn explains from their point of view, calling this "un-American" and a "brainwashing center."

One word that was taught to the media, and thus the American people, was “conspiracy.”

“This is something that the CIA tried to popularize as a term of ridicule,” Newman explains. “The word ‘conspiracy’ just means two or more people working in secret on some immoral, illegal, or nefarious objective.”

“We’re trained almost like Pavlov’s dogs, we’re conditioned to recoil in horror when somebody says the term ‘conspiracy,’” he adds.

Now Americans have been conditioned to look past what’s true if someone has labeled it a “conspiracy theory.”

“We’re in a world where truth is no longer a defense,” Newman says.

How to survive the end of the world in 6 easy steps

While prepping for minor emergencies is stressful enough, a disaster is outright overwhelming.

That’s why Glenn Beck has made it a lot less complicated and laid out the “6 basic steps to prepping.”

“Most people quit before they even begin, but it’s actually really easy and inexpensive,” Glenn explains, adding, “Start with what the government is now ignoring, the basics.”

The first step is building a solid personal finance and health foundation.

“The best way to insulate yourself in an economic crisis is to get as debt-free as you can. We also need to get into the financial position where we can dedicate a few extra dollars every month to advance our prep plan,” Glenn says.

“We also need to make sure that bad health won’t get in the way of surviving when it’s needed,” he adds, noting that being able to walk a considerable distance and carry what you need is paramount.

The second step is getting your home ready for two weeks of self-reliance. This means you’ll need 15 gallons of water per person, 23,000 calories per person, and sources of light. You’ll also need a gun, ammo, indoor heating, a USB powered fan, and medical supplies.

Another incredible tool is a ham radio, which Glenn plans to learn and get licensed on.

The third step is having a bug-out bag, which includes everything from 32 ounces of water, a tarp, a field knife, and very important: cash.

The fourth step is preparing for emergencies away from home. “Exercise your Second Amendment right to protect yourself,” Glenn says.

The fifth step is practicing the skills it would require to protect yourself, like shooting a gun. Last but definitely not least comes number six, which is sharing and building a base with others.

“Share what you’ve learned, build a base of like-minded friends and family,” Glenn says.

EXPOSING Iran's trap to trigger global war

Several powerful nations are gearing up for a potential worldwide battle, and Glenn Beck can’t help but fear that history may be repeating itself.

Netanyahu briefed the world on Israel’s plans with Hamas that echoes that sentiment.

“Just as the United States would not agree to a ceasefire after the bombing of Pearl Harbor or after the terrorist attack of 9/11, Israel will not agree to association of hostilities with Hamas after the horrific attacks of October 7,” Benjamin Netanyahu said in a briefing.

“Calls for a ceasefire are calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism, to surrender to barbarism. That will not happen, ladies and gentlemen. The Bible says that there is a time for peace and a time for war. This is a time for war,” he continued.

However, the president of Iran has just recently warned that if Israel continues its movement into Gaza, it “may force everyone to act.”

And Glenn believes the president means everyone and everything within the “axis of resistance” — which Glenn himself calls the “axis of evil.”

Plus, he predicted this years ago.

“I said that the unrest in the Middle East would reach a tipping point and that violence would then cascade into Europe and then eventually here in the United States,” Glenn says, adding, “the Marxists, the radicals, the anarchists, the authoritarians. All of them would work together with the Islamists.”

Iran waited patiently for ISIS to create a power gap that “the Iranian Nazis soon filled,” and now they’re attempting to fulfill their goal: “to wipe the Jews off the face of the Earth,” Glenn says.

Rep. Cory Mills, a Trump appointee to the Pentagon as a Department of Defense adviser, believes this will turn into a global war, and it is imminent.

“It’s going to be a full destabilization of all of the Middle East.” Mills says.

China claims it was preparing to shoot down an 'unidentified flying object' near important naval base

A Chinese state media outlet claimed that officials had spotted an "unidentified flying object" over the Yellow Sea in China, near the city of Rizhao, and were preparing to shoot it down.

The Global Times News announced on Twitter that maritime authorities had identified the object near the city of approximately three million, warning fisherman in the area to exercise caution: "Local maritime authorities in East China's Shandong Province announced on Sunday that they had spotted an unidentified flying object in waters near the coastal city of Rizhao in the province and were preparing to shoot it down, reminding fishermen to be safe via messages," the tweet reads.

According to Fox News, another state-owned outlet called the Paper said that the object was spotted near the city of Qingdao. A marine development authority told the outlet that "relevant authorities" were preparing to shoot down the object.

If true, the object would be near one of China's most important naval bases, the Jianggezhuang Naval Base, which is located just 15 miles off the coast of Qingdao in the Yellow Sea. The base is home to multiple classes of submarines including nuclear-powered submarines, according to unclassified documents from the CIA.

After the United States Navy recovered wreckage from a Chinese spy balloon in the Atlantic Ocean, a series of unidentified objects reportedly have been shot down in North American airspace.

North American Aerospace Defense Command announced that it was monitoring a "high-altitude airborne object over Northern Canada" before F-22 jets were used to shoot it down.

The military announced the following day that another object had been shot down over Lake Huron, suggesting that there were more objects in the sky that the public had not known about. The air operation resulted in temporary flight restrictions in the areas over the Great Lakes.

Yet another unidentified object was shot down over Alaskan airspace, with even more mystery surrounding the activities.

The aerial craft that was shot down ten miles off the coast of Alaska had "no identifiable propulsion" and interfered with the sensors of the U.S. military fighter jets that engaged with the aircraft.

Speaking to ABC, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said that "until a few months ago we didn't know about these balloons."

"It is wild that we didn't know," Schumer said, adding that the "military and the intelligence are focused like a laser on first gathering and accumulating the information, then coming up with a comprehensive analysis."

China gets fast apology after Taiwan listed among 'countries' in Snickers product launch — the latest high-profile mea culpa toward communist regime

Mars Wrigley apologized Friday for a Snickers product launch that referred the "countries" of South Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan, Reuters reported. The sticking point is that China has long considered Taiwan part of its communist regime, while Taiwan is not of the same mind.

What are the details?

Videos and images of an event promoting a limited-edition Snickers bar said to be available only in the aforementioned places went viral on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo on Friday, the outlet added.

Mars Wrigley on its Snickers China Weibo account published an apology and said the relevant content had been amended, Reuters reported.

Chinese state news outlet the Global Times said Mars Wrigley "has verified & aligned the official site and social media accounts to ensure accurate content. Snickers owner Mars Wrigley said it respects China's [national] sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Far from the first apology to China

Mars Wrigley's apology to China was the latest in a long line of mea culpas delivered to the superpower as it continues to gain financial, cultural, and military strength:

  • John Cena — the WWE star who became an actor — was heavily criticized last year after he posted a video to Chinese social media apologizing to the Chinese people for referring to Taiwan as a "country" while promoting an installment of the "Fast & Furious" movie franchise.
  • Luxury brand Christian Dior apologized to China in 2019 for omitting Taiwan from a map used for a recruitment and internship demonstration at a Chinese college.
  • In 2019, the National Basketball Association and then-Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey apologized to China for Morey's now-deleted tweet expressing support for pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong, a move that cost the team significant business partnerships in China.
  • Then-Houston Rockets star James Harden also offered an apology to China in the wake of Morey's Hong Kong support: "We apologize, you know," Harden said. "You know, we love China."
  • The Daily Mail reported that VF Corporation, which owns the North Face brand, and PVH, which owns Calvin Klein, removed statements from their websites expressing concern about human rights violations in Xinjiang after threats of getting shut out of the Chinese market.
  • Computer chip maker Intel was forced to apologize over a letter it sent to suppliers urging them not to source their products or labor from Xinjiang, the Daily Mail noted, adding that Nike and H&M faced backlash last year following statements they made about forced labor in the region.

But there are plenty of critics of those who kowtow to China. For example, "Real Time" host Bill Maher in February ripped NBA icon LeBron James, Olympian Eileen Gu, and Cena for seemingly putting profits over principles when it comes to speaking out against China's human rights abuses.

Other critics of China apologists have included sportscaster Bob Costas, CNN anchor Jake Tapper, Hollywood producer and comedian Judd Apatow, UFC star Colby Covington, and ex-NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom.

Anything else?

Meanwhile, China launched missile strikes in the Taiwan Strait on the heels of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan on Tuesday, which she said "should be seen as a strong statement that America stands with Taiwan. We came to Taiwan to listen to, learn from and show our support for the people of Taiwan, who have built a thriving Democracy that stands as one of the freest and most open in the world."

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized China's missile launches as a "significant escalation," the Daily Mail reported.

NBC News reported that the rising tensions in the region look far different from a similar situation in 1995-96 when "the U.S. Navy sent warships through the Taiwan Strait and there was nothing China could do about it."

“It’s a very different situation now,” Michele Flournoy, a former undersecretary of defense for policy in the Obama administration, told NBC News. “It’s a much more contested and much more lethal environment for our forces.”

The network said Chinese President Xi Jinping now has "serious military power at his disposal, including ship-killing missiles, a massive navy and an increasingly capable air force. That new military might is changing the strategic calculus for the U.S. and Taiwan, raising the potential risks of a conflict or miscalculation, former officials and experts say."

China provides rhetorical cover for Russia and their 'new model of international relations'

In recent days, China has amped up its rhetorical support for Russia in a direct slight to the U.S. and other nations who had hoped that Beijing would opt to condemn Moscow for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said, “An important takeaway from the success of China-Russia relations is that the two sides rise above the model of military and political alliance in the Cold War era.”

Zhao suggested that China and Russia are able to collaborate so effectively because the countries and their leadership “commit themselves to developing a new model of international relations.”

Bloomberg reported that Zhao made this statement during a briefing Friday in Beijing.

Zhao emphasized that the “model” relationship between China and Russia is predicated on the two countries’ hesitance to cause confrontation between other nations and respecting the sovereignty of other states.

He added that this relationship broke with the “Cold War mentality” displayed by countries allied with the U.S. through geographic blocs like the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

President Joe Biden warned Chinese President Xi Jinping in March that there would be “implications and consequences” if the Chinese government provided any form of material support to their Russian counterparts over the invasion of Ukraine.

To date there has been no indication that China has supported the Russian invasion or helped the country skirt the Western sanctions that torpedoed its economy, but the Chinese government has provided “rhetorical support” for Russia by repeating its propaganda.

The Chinese government also repeatedly states that it will stand by the “no limits” relationship agreement that Presidents Putin and Xi agreed to at a private meeting between the two heads-of-staet before the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

During this meeting, Xi and Putin agreed to support each other in their respective efforts to expand their borders to include the independent nations of Taiwan and Ukraine, respectively.

The very existence and basis of this dynamic calls into question the validity of claims recently made by Zhao that Russia and China avoid confrontation with other nations on the international stage.

The reality is that the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Chinese government’s blatant hostility towards Taiwan indicate that both nations are, in fact, dedicated to the military conquest of sovereign nations while meddling in their affairs.

The Russian central bank takes steps to stabilize the ruble as it plummets in value

The Bank of Russia is proceeding with emergency measures to stabilize its economy and to prevent the Russian ruble from losing further value.

For the first time, the Russian central bank said that it will intervene in the foreign exchange market and expand its Lombard list of securities that it will accept as collateral, Bloomberg reported.

The central bank did not mention whether or not it would raise interest rates but it did proceed with agreeing to provide Russian banks with additional liquidity. It is preparing to offer banks 1 trillion rubles — roughly $11.5 billion —in an overnight repo auction.

On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin, ordered Russian forces to launch their invasion of Ukraine and strike strategic targets to demilitarize the country. Upon doing so, the ruble fell to a record low in value.

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, leaders of Western nations are implementing a wide array of sanctions to weaken the Russian economy.

Less than a day after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, President Joe Biden announced that the United States would target Russia’s largest financial institutions, Sherbank and VTB, to prevent them from using the American financial system to conduct transactions. These sanctions are fairly comprehensive and will restrict nearly 80% of Russian banking assets.

Previously, Biden stopped short of calling for Russia’s removal from the Society of Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT).

Biden said, “It is always an option, but right now it’s not the position the rest of Europe wishes to take.”

Kicking Russia out of SWIFT would greatly damage the Russian economy in the short term and make recovery incredibly difficult in the long term. It could prevent Russia from engaging in international transactions and would cripple their ability to export oil and gas.

On Saturday, the allied leaders of several Western countries — including the Untied States — expressed their support for preventing Russia from being able to access and utilize the SWIFT network.

The Western leaders agreed to target specific Russian banks for removal from the SWIFT system, to prevent the Russian central bank from manipulating its monetary policy, and to take aggressive steps to sanction and financially punish Russian individuals involved in the invasion of Ukraine.

By preventing Russia from using the SWIFT network, the West will effectively isolate them and inhibit them from conducting trade with some of its largest trade partners.

At the time of writing, a Russian ruble is worth about 0.012 U.S. dollars. The in-game currency for the popular children’s videogame “Roblox” – aptly named Robux – is worth about 0.0125 U.S. dollars per unit.
