Liberal media goes after comedian for not knowing everything about Bad Bunny: ‘I don’t care’

On a recent appearance on Fox News, Dave Landau poked fun at Bad Bunny — the Super Bowl’s halftime show performer of choice.

“What this comes down to is, you look at somebody like Bad Bunny, or you look at somebody like Trevor Noah. They don’t actually have the ability to talk trash in their own countries, so they come to America, make a great living, living the American dream, insulting our country, because they know in their homeland they would be killed for doing the very same thing,” Landau said to host Greg Gutfeld.

Media Matters caught on to Landau’s error — which is that Bad Bunny’s home country is the United States — and put him on blast.

But Landau isn’t concerned with their ire.

“They put out this so people would let me know that Puerto Rico is a territory ’cause I clearly would have no idea of such things,” he tells BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales on “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered.”

Now, he tells Gonzales that he’s receiving death threats because “Media Matters is a horrible company.”

“Talk about how you are funded by George Soros. Do that, Media Matters. Keep complaining about white billionaires, too, to tell your people that white billionaires are a problem when you’re funded by white billionaires,” he says.

“Where did you think that Bad Bunny was from?” Gonzales asks.

“I thought Colombia,” Landau responds. “Here’s why. I don’t care. Even when I was here, I think it’s very obvious that I wasn’t actually watching the news. I was just trying to find stories. All I knew about Bad Bunny was they said he didn’t speak English. And the left, that is, was worried that ICE was going to take him at the Super Bowl because he’s an illegal.”

“That’s all I heard from the left,” he explains.

“Turns out he’s from Puerto Rico,” he says.

“God, you’re racist,” Gonzales jokes.

“Exactly. I’m a monster,” he adds.

'You woke us the f**k up!' Greg Gutfeld fires off message on Fox News after assassination of Charlie Kirk

Greg Gutfeld issued a fiery warning after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during "The Five" show on Fox News.

Many on the right and the left have offered condolences and prayers for the family of the Turning Point USA founder, who was shot and killed during a college campus event in Utah Wednesday.

'If they can do this, they can do anything. I think that was the message. I believe that was the message.'

Gutfeld offered his condolences but then launched into a defiant tirade against those who wanted to use violence to shut down political opposition.

"I know that it's somewhat an object of mockery to say 'thoughts and prayers,' but thoughts and prayers for his family. They need it from all of us," Gutfeld said after co-host Jesse Watters spoke about Kirk.

"And Jesse's right, if they can do this, they can do anything. I think that was the message. I believe that was the message," he added. "It's really hard to radicalize Republicans. You know, we're not the radical type. But if you thought that you were going to shut a movement down, you're going to get a rude awakening."

He added emphatically, "You woke us the f**k up!"

Video of Gutfeld's warning was circulated widely on social media.

Police said they were looking for a suspect in dark clothing and that they were analyzing footage from security cameras at the university. Initial reports indicate that the alleged shooter shot Kirk from about 200 yards away.

Kirk was 31 years old.

Bill Maher blasts Biden's racism-stoking speech to black graduates at Morehouse College: 'Not helpful'

"Real Time" host Bill Maher blasted President Joe Biden's racism-stoking speech to graduates of traditionally black school Morehouse College over the weekend as "not helpful" and inaccurate.

Biden spent part of his commencement address at the Atlanta school calling out what he sees as a racist America: "It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you. What is democracy if black men are being killed in the street? What is democracy if a trail of broken promises still leave black communities behind? What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot? And most of all, what does it mean, as we’ve heard before, to be a black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure?"

'We're not living in the year where you have to be "10 times better" to succeed if you're a person of color. And in some instances, it's an advantage.'

During his appearance Monday on Fox News' "Gutfeld!" Maher wasn't buying it.

"First of all, it's anachronistic. I mean, that speech would've made sense some years ago. I think we should acknowledge that racism still persists, and we should always be making ... remedies for it," Maher began. "But we're not in the past."

He added, "I always keep saying, let's live in the year we're living in. We're not living in the year where you have to be ‘10 times better’ to succeed if you're a person of color. And in some instances, it's an advantage. In some places, it's not an advantage, but we're not living in that world that he's talking about. And I don't think that helps anybody."

'Old and ancient'

Maher also noted during the episode that Biden looks "old and ancient" while former President Donald Trump "does not," even though they're "almost the same age." Biden is 81; Trump is 77.

National Public Radio covered Biden's commencement speech and noted that "polling shows potentially lower support for his reelection efforts among black voters and young voters." Biden also spent time during his address railing away at Trump, who likely will face him in November's election.
