Bill Maher blasts Biden's racism-stoking speech to black graduates at Morehouse College: 'Not helpful'

"Real Time" host Bill Maher blasted President Joe Biden's racism-stoking speech to graduates of traditionally black school Morehouse College over the weekend as "not helpful" and inaccurate.

Biden spent part of his commencement address at the Atlanta school calling out what he sees as a racist America: "It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you. What is democracy if black men are being killed in the street? What is democracy if a trail of broken promises still leave black communities behind? What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot? And most of all, what does it mean, as we’ve heard before, to be a black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure?"

'We're not living in the year where you have to be "10 times better" to succeed if you're a person of color. And in some instances, it's an advantage.'

During his appearance Monday on Fox News' "Gutfeld!" Maher wasn't buying it.

"First of all, it's anachronistic. I mean, that speech would've made sense some years ago. I think we should acknowledge that racism still persists, and we should always be making ... remedies for it," Maher began. "But we're not in the past."

He added, "I always keep saying, let's live in the year we're living in. We're not living in the year where you have to be ‘10 times better’ to succeed if you're a person of color. And in some instances, it's an advantage. In some places, it's not an advantage, but we're not living in that world that he's talking about. And I don't think that helps anybody."

'Old and ancient'

Maher also noted during the episode that Biden looks "old and ancient" while former President Donald Trump "does not," even though they're "almost the same age." Biden is 81; Trump is 77.

National Public Radio covered Biden's commencement speech and noted that "polling shows potentially lower support for his reelection efforts among black voters and young voters." Biden also spent time during his address railing away at Trump, who likely will face him in November's election.

WATCH: Roseanne Barr and Greg Gutfeld explain the devolution of the comedy industry

Both Greg Gutfeld and Roseanne Barr were quick to ditch mainstream comedy when the industry fell under the control of the radical left. On a recent episode of “The Roseanne Barr Podcast,” the two discussed “the huge culture shift” that’s left the comedy industry void of, well, comedy.

“These guys,” Barr said, referring to the comedians who pander to the woke, “they’re just drowning in unfunny.”

According to Gutfeld, the comedians who bent the knee have one thing in common: “They’re scared.”

But the ones, like Barr, who refused to be silenced and controlled, also have something in common: “the freedom to say what [they] want.”

“Once the left and liberals gave [freedom to speak freely] up, we snatched it,” he said, in reference to conservative comedians. “You can tell how uncomfortable comedians of the left are. They know that there’s a line they can’t cross; meanwhile, you and I — we can say whatever we want.”

And that — the freedom to speak freely — is exactly why Greg Gutfeld is “the number one host in late night comedy” according to Dave Rubin.

“It’s everyone versus the woke,” he says. “They are destroying everything at every freaking level.”

Fox News studio audience gasps as Greg Gutfeld slams own network while defending Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk chimes in

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld slammed his own network while defending Tucker Carlson in a moment that left the studio audience stunned. Gutfeld also seemed to imply that Fox News is part of the "censorship industrial complex."

On Friday's episode of "Gutfeld!," the Fox News host was discussing the viral moment when Elon Musk emphatically told companies attempting to "blackmail" him with advertising dollars to "go f*** yourself!"

Gutfeld praised Musk for refusing to bend the knee to the cancel culture campaign targeting his X social media platform and defending free speech. Gutfeld lauded Musk for telling off "cowardly advertisers" who caved to pressure from progressive activists, and said Musk standing for what he believes is "how it's done."

"The fact is, Musk may be the last man standing between real freedom of speech and the suffocating block of this censorship industrial complex, which is made up of government, media, and tech forces," Gutfeld said in a possible veiled shot at his employer – Fox News.

"He realizes that advertisers have no spine and can be easily cowed by special interest groups in cahoots with political allies," he said of the tech billionaire.

Gutfeld then nuked his own network by saying, "If you don't believe me, I have two words for you: Tucker Carlson."

The comment about the former Fox News star drew uneasy gasps from the live audience and the studio went silent. Even Gutfed's co-hosts were speechless in the comment slamming Fox News while supporting Carlson – who the network terminated earlier this year.

Gutfeld was surprised by the reaction and reacted by saying, "Wow."

The "Gutfeld!" video clip went viral, and caught the attention of Musk, who shared the video with the caption: "Correct."

After being fired from Fox News, Carlson joined Musk on the X social media platform, where he has the massively successful "Tucker on X" show.
