Greta Thunberg takes pause from protesting affordable energy to support anti-Israeli causes, call for 'ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians'

Climate alarmist Greta Thunberg took a momentary pause from denouncing civilization-sustaining energy on Friday to demand that Israel cease its security action against Hamas terrorists.

The 20-year-old Swede said nothing on social media about the thousands of Israelis and scores of Americans massacred earlier this month or the hundreds of civilians Palestinian militants have taken hostage. She also didn't bother to mention her two countrymen murdered Tuesday by a jihadist in Brussels.

She did, however, post a picture of herself holding a sign stating, "Stand with Gaza," along with the caption, "Today we strike in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected."

Thunberg added the hashtags, "#FreePalestine #IStandWithPalestine #StandWithGaza #FridayForFuture."

Among the three leftists seen in the picture with the autistic climate alarmist was one holding a sign that read, "Climate justice now!" with an image of a fist painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag. Another held a sign that read, "This Jew stands with Palestine."

In a subsequent post, Thunberg suggested that people can help by engaging with various accounts, including the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Adalah Justice Project, and IfNotNow.

The Palestinian Youth Movement has accused Israel of genocide; demands street action "until Palestine is liberated in its entirety"; refers to the Israeli government as a "depraved" "Zionist regime"; peddled falsehoods about the recent jihadist hospital bombing; and has linked "Black liberation and Palestinian liberation."

Days after the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel earlier this month, the PYM tweeted, "WHEN PEOPLE ARE OCCUPIED, RESISTANCE IS JUSTIFIED."

IfNotNow is another leftist activist outfit that seeks to "end U.S. support for Israel's apartheid system." It has called the Biden administration's support for Israel "reckless and unconscionable."

Thunberg's latest leftist protest has sparked outrage and ridicule.

Eylon Levy, a spokesman for the Israeli prime minister's office, tweeted, "Just wait till you hear about the carbon emissions from the 24,000 liters of fossil fuels that Hamas stole from the UN to feet its war machine."

Israel's embassy in Berlin responded, "Imagine this is your first Statement on the massacre of 1300 Jews conducted by palestinian Terrorists. What is your business now? Hatred of Israel or climate protection?"

Noam Blum, chief technology officer at Tablet magazine, responded, "Glad to see Greta Thunberg and Andrew Tate coming to an agreement on dead Jews being awesome."

DeepCube co-founder Eli Daive wrote, "Finally BLM, climate activists, and all the other wokes are being unmasked for what they truly are: terrorism-supporters that want the total destruction of Western civilization. You are the carbon they want to reduce!"

Ben Shapiro noted, "She is no longer a child, so we can mock her as the ignorant, irritating moron she is now."

Arye Sharuz Shalicar, spokesman for the Israeli army, told Politico, "Whoever identifies with Greta in any way in the future, in my view, is a terror supporter. ... Because what Greta is doing, that she is now showing solidarity with Gaza while not saying a word about the massacres of Israelis, shows that she is actually not in favor of the Palestinians, but that she is sweeping the terror of the Palestinians or Hamas and Islamic Jihad under the table as if it did not exist."

Thunberg's support of anti-Israeli groups is not the only leftist reflex she shares in common with progressive Democrats in Congress. She also supports abortion in America; mass migration; using the specter of anthropogenic climate change to make "systemic changes" to Western society; and cutting the West off from affordable energy.

Time will tell if Thunberg will ultimately delete her Friday post as she did her 2018 prediction that humanity would become extinct five years later.

Greta Thunberg is boycotting the climate summit because of 'vaccine nationalism'

Greta Thunberg says that she will not attend the next global climate summit because the inequality of vaccine distribution means not all countries will be represented equally.

The teenage climate activist said the (Conference of the Parties) COP26 summit planned in Glasgow, Scotland in November, will have unequal representation from countries that have less access to vaccines.

"Of course I would love to attend the Glasgow COP26. But not unless everyone can take part on the same terms," Thunberg said in a tweet.

"Right now many countries are vaccinating healthy young people, often at the expense of risk groups and front line workers (mainly from global south, as usual...)," she continued.

"Inequality and climate injustice is already the heart of the climate crisis. If people can't be vaccinated and travel to be represented equally that's undemocratic and would worsen the problem," she said in a second tweet.

Thunberg also called for the summit to be postponed until global vaccinations rise.

"We don't have to wait for conferences nor anyone or anything else to dramatically start reducing our emissions. Solidarity and action can start today," she added, before noting lamentably that digital access was also limited in many countries and unequally distributed.

Thunberg attended the United Nations COP25 climate change summit in Madrid in 2019 and excoriated world leaders for ignoring her calls to massively change global industries in order to slow down climate change.

"We have been striking now for over a year, and still basically nothing has happened," Thunberg said. "The climate crisis is still being ignored by those in power."

Thunberg might get some help for her campaign from President Joe Biden who signed back onto the Paris Climate Accords after former President Donald Trump removed the U.S. from the pact. Biden has also promised to do more to transform industry in the U.S. to fit with climate change demands.

Roberta McCain, mother of late Sen. John McCain, passes away at 108

Roberta McCain, the mother of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain (R), has passed away at the age of 108.

What are the details?

Cindy McCain, the widow of John McCain, announced the news Monday on Twitter, writing, "It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my wonderful Mother In-law, Roberta McCain. I couldn't have asked for a better role model or a better friend. She joins her husband Jack, her son John and daughter Sandy."

Fox News reported:

A native of Muskogee, Okla., Roberta Wright was nearly 21 and a college student in southern California when she eloped to Tijuana, Mexico, in January 1933 with a young sailor named John S. McCain, Jr. He would go on to become a Navy admiral, like the father he shared a name with, and the couple would have three children — Jean, John and Joseph — within a decade.

Tributes poured in for the McCain family over the loss of their matriarch, an oil heiress who hit the campaign trail at the age of 96 to help John in his second campaign for president in 2008. John died in 2018 from a brain tumor.

His daughter and "The View" co-host, Meghan McCain, tweeted Monday, "I love you Nana. You're everything I ever aspired to be. Thank you for teaching us all about living life on your own terms with grit, conviction, intensity and love. There will never be another one like you, you will be missed every day. I wish my daughter had gotten to meet you."

The Washington Post's obituary for Mrs. McCain noted that Sen. McCain said of his mother in his 1999 memoir, "Faith of My Fathers": "She was a willful, rebellious girl."

The Post's piece concluded:

In her 90s, Mrs. McCain spent three hours each Tuesday morning at the National Gallery of Art or the Freer Gallery of Art, whose collection of Chinese porcelain she particularly admired. Asked by Vogue to explain her longevity, good health and general fearlessness, she shrugged.

"I don't do anything I'm supposed to do. I don't exercise and today, I've already eaten a half a box of caramel popcorn," she told the magazine. "Honey, I've had a dream life, and it was all luck."

Greta Thunberg, a teen activist and social media idol from Sweden, has publicly announced her endorsement of US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Demands intensify for Joe Rogan to host next presidential debate following Chris Wallace's performance

Much of social media called on comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan to moderate the next presidential debate after Fox News' Chris Wallace's heavily criticized performance during Tuesday night's first presidential debate.

Social media criticized Wallace during — and after — the debate, saying that he was largely useless in actually moderating a the debate between President Donald Trump and former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

What did people say about Wallace?

Journalist Soledad O'Brien tweeted, "Hellllo Chris Wallace??? Looking for a moderator here. Jesus Christ what a fricken mess."

Former GOP strategist Steve Schmidt added, "Chris Wallace has completely lost control of this debate."

CNN's Oliver Darcy said Tuesday night, "[Wallace] lost control of the debate early, and failed to ever regain order. It appeared as if Wallace were pleading with Trump to respect the forum like a parent would plead an out-of-control child to behave."

Comedy Central host Trevor Noah chimed in, "Chris Wallace's debate performance tonight is a great reminder that kindergarten teachers are underpaid."

Commentator and former CNN, Fox News, and NBC anchor Greta Van Susteren added, "This is why Chris Wallace lost control of the debate — his first question was not about what either would do for the country going forward but designed to create a fight. Once you lose control of a debate, you can't regain..."

Van Susteren shared Wallace's first question in a screenshot, which read, "My first question to both of you tonight, why are you right in the argument you make and your opponent wrong? And where do you think a Justice Barrett would take the court? President Trump, in this first segment, you go first. Two minutes."

Jeremy Boreing, the Daily Wire's co-founder and co-CEO, wrote, "How does Chris Wallace keep his job? I understand the defense of his treatment of Trump during interviews and largely agree, but this was a presidential debate. His performance was as bad as we've ever seen. Disgraceful."

Legions of other social media users issued the same sentiment: that Wallace failed in his duties to maintain a semblance of order or decorum during the first 2020 presidential debate.

What did people say about Rogan?

Rogan himself recently offered to moderate one of the 2020 presidential debates.

During a recent episode of his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan set forth his ideal conditions.

"First of all, I want no one else in the room, just the three of us," he said. "And you'd have to stream it live so no one can edit it, and I would want them in there for hours. ... If they wanted to do that — they both wanted to come here in Austin [Texas], sit down and have a debate — I would 100 percent do it."

The president himself heard word of Rogan's early September remarks and signed off on the proposal, writing "I do!" to a Twitter user who shared the news and wrote, "[W]ho wants this [to happen]?"

Cyclist Lance Armstrong tweeted, "What happened to this idea that @joerogan ought to host a presidential debate?! Time to restart that conversation."

He wasn't the only one — by far.

MMA fighter Tara LaRosa added, "Joe Rogan should have run this debate #Debates2020."

A petition calling for the very same scenario gained traction in 2019.

A portion of the Change.org petition says Rogan would be the perfect moderator because he has "revolutionized the way political interview and discussion works, as he has provided a long-form media format that has allowed the exchange of ideas to be fully explored."

At the time of this reporting, the online petition has received more than 285,000 signatures in support.

Anything else?

The second presidential debate is set for Oct. 15 in Miami, Florida, with C-SPAN's Steve Scully as moderator.

A third and final debate is set for Oct. 22 in Nashville, Tennessee, with NBC News' Kristen Welker as moderator.
