Mark Levin breaks down media smears of Brett Kavanaugh with Mollie Hemingway and Joe Concha
On the latest episode of "Life, Liberty, & Levin," LevinTV host Mark Levin interviewed media analyst Joe Concha and senior editor of The Federalist Mollie Hemingway about the smears against Justice Brett Kavanaugh that were propped up by the mainstream media.
Levin cited a Media Research Center study that showed 90 percent of the news coverage of the Kavanaugh hearings was negative and asked Hemingway for her thoughts. The mainstream news networks largely took the side of several women who accused Kavanaugh of decades-old sexual misconduct without producing corroborating witnesses or evidence.
"They're publishing allegations that are on their face farcical and treating them as if they were serious; they're running with stories for which there is no corroboration," Hemingway said. She added that the media has forgotten Kavanaugh's honor and reputation was "dragged through the mud" with no evidence to support the allegations against him.
Levin asked Concha about how "basic norms" like due process and evidence were thrown "out the window" for Kavanaugh.
"Brett Kavanaugh, by many in our media, was deemed guilty until proven innocent," Concha said.
