Salon goes off the deep end, claiming Trump 'plans to turn America into a type of Fourth Reich'

The foreign-owned blog Salon has a reputation for publishing fake news and leftist rage fantasies.

It was, therefore, par for the course when in the wake of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Israel, Salon ran a piece suggesting that the Republican Party and Hamas are "both terrorist groups — it's just a matter of degree."

Salon went further off the deep end this week, making clear with an unhinged article Thursday that it would not be outdone in absurdity by the Washington Post, which told its readers not to "scoff at the Hitler comparisons" made against former President Donald Trump.

Salon's politics blogger Chauncey DeVega claimed that "Trump and his surrogates are continuing to channel and amplify Nazism and Adolf Hitler" in an effort to "turn America into a type of Fourth Reich," complete with a "concentration camp system."

DeVega, a critic of the right-wing media's supposed radicalization of white men, claimed that Trump is channeling the identitarian socialists of yesteryear by bemoaning the rape of American girls by illegal aliens; by planning to deport noncitizen criminals and terrorists; by suggesting that migrants from a failed state where cannibalism has been documented may be eating local pets; and by planning to ban mortgages for illegal aliens.

DeVega — who appears keen to furnish fellow travelers and potential would-be assassins with more hate-fuel less than two weeks after the most recent Democratic apparent attempt on Trump's life — further accused the Republican president of white supremacy, misogyny, and anti-Semitism.

This last allegation in particular might surprise Trump's Jewish family members and supporters as well as the beneficiaries of his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and his multiple efforts to broker peace agreements between Israel and Muslim nations.

'I'm angry about young American girls being raped and sodomized and murdered by savage criminal aliens.'

After doing his best to provide Salon readers with a history lesson about Adolf Hitler — neglecting to mention the leftist roots of Nazism — DeVega claimed that "Nazism and the various forms of racial fascism, and the other antidemocratic and illiberal political belief systems and ideologies in its orbit" are "resurgent in the form of Trumpism."

The first example the Salon blogger provided to support his thesis that Trump is Hitler reborn was the Republican's suggestion that Haitian migrants have been consuming pets in Springfield, Ohio.

Sen. JD Vance's (R-Ohio) told reporters ahead of Trump's debate with Kamala Harris that locals reached out to him, claiming some of the 20,000 Haitian nationals who have poured into their city of less than 60,000 have been swiping up wildlife and pets.

In the debate, Trump said that migrants were "eating the dogs, they're eating the cats, they're eating the pets of the people that live there."

Democrats and their media allies have disputed the claims. However, when meeting with residents in the area, Blaze News' Julio Rosas was not only shown possible signs of wildlife consumption but more damning signs of the fallout of the migrant surge.

DeVega suggested further that Trump's stated intention to deport terrorists, criminals and the mentally insane who are in the country illegally sounds like proto-Nazi literature — apparently not unlike the kind advanced by Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger.

Trump's offending post said:

OUR BORDERS MUST BE CLOSED, AND THE TERRORISTS, CRIMINALS AND MENTALLY INSANE, IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM AMERICAN CITIES AND TOWNS, DEPORTED BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN. ...THE WORLD IS LAUGHING AT US AS FOOLS, THEY ARE STEALING OUR JOBS AND OUR WEALTH. WE CANNOT LET THEM LAUGH ANY LONGER. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

The lawful removal of foreign nationals violating American immigration law and sovereignty would apparently amount to an "ethnic cleansing."

It is worth noting that where the ellipsis appears in this Trump quote, DeVaga omitted the line, "WE WANT PEOPLE TO COME INTO OUR COUNTRY, BUT THEY MUST LOVE OUR NATION, AND COME IN LEGALLY AND THROUGH A SYSTEM OF MERIT."

'The 2024 election is a referendum on democracy.'

The Salon blogger appeared similarly troubled by Trump's condemnation of illegal aliens raping and murdering American girls, likening his language to that historically "used to justify the lynchings" of black men.

When quoting Trump's remarks at a rally earlier this month in Arizona, DeVega inserted the word "white" in an effort to insinuate a racist meaning.

What Trump actually said was, "I'm angry about young American girls being raped and sodomized and murdered by savage criminal aliens. I'm angry about rampant inflation destroying our middle class, and the American people are also very angry about that and every other thing that we’ve had to endure for three and a half years."

Although Trump's remarks angered the blogger, they may alternatively resonate with Americans in New York City, whose sanctuary jurisdiction for illegal aliens recently reported a significant spike in reported rapes.

For example, Christian Inga, a 25-year-old illegal alien, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in New York City on June 13.

Toward the end of the piece, DeVega leaned hard into the same Democratic talking points that helped set the stage for two assassination attempts, even turning out a rephrase of a go-to Kamala Harris line adopted by suspected would-be assassin Ryan Routh: "The 2024 election is a referendum on democracy and a test of the American people's character, morality, intelligence, and courage."

Alarmist rhetoric like DeVega's on the left might account for why nearly 3 in 10 Democrats polled by RMG Research earlier this month indicated they believed it would have been better if Trump had been slaughtered on Sept. 15.

'Hurtful and offensive': Miami Heat issue diversity statement in support of Haitians, get bombarded with memes

The Miami Heat basketball team decided to enter the arena of controversy surrounding the Haitian community in Ohio.

Residents in Springfield, Ohio, have reported in social media posts that Haitian migrants are capturing and eating pets, as well as local animals like ducks. Local law enforcement said they have no such confirmed reports.

The issue has gone viral on social media and was even brought up during the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The NBA team decided to release a statement on the team's X page in support of Haitians.

"The Miami Heat staff, like Miami itself, is a diverse and brilliant mix of vibrant cultures, including many members of our Haitian community," the team wrote. "The false narrative surrounding them is hurtful and offensive and has sadly made innocent people targets of hateful speech and physical threats."

The team finished by saying, "Our Haitian employees, fans and friends deserve better."

This was followed by a statement in Haitian Creole "Ansanm nou kanpe fo," which appeared to mean "we stand together."

Unfortunately for the team, the responses were flooded with memes related to the controversy, along with statements calling the team out for getting involved.

One AI-generated video showed cats and dogs holding signs reading messages like "don't eat me" and "Haitians ate my mom," while other animals in the video held pro-Trump or "Trump 2024" signs.

"I'm from Miami and will be boycotting the Miami Heat for not staying in their lane," one fan wrote.

"Is saying 'they should be deported for illegally jumping our border' your idea of hate speech?" another reader asked.

Another meme showed several cats in front of a sign that said "Miami Eat."

The brutal responses didn't stop there; another post showed late-1980s TV character Alf, an alien who ate cats, with the caption, "Miami's new concessions stand employee."

A different X user showed an image of Trump hugging a kitten and a duck, writing, "The Miami Heat doesn't care about your pets being eaten by Haitians illegals."

Aside from simply declaring the Heat's statement to be "virtue signaling," other fans wanted to know why the team was concerned with an issue in Ohio or if the team had correspondents on the ground to confirm or deny any of the local reports.

Virtue signaling.

The story has seemed to be a losing issue for Democrats, who have looked to use the topic to call Trump racist or anti-immigrant once more.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson said on social media that "continuing to dump on Trump because of the 'eating cats' issue will create blowback on Nov. 5."

"Haitian voodoo is in fact real," she added, "and to dismiss the story out-of-hand rather than listen to the citizens of Springfield, Ohio confirms in the minds of many voters the stereotype of Democrats as smug elite jerks who think they’re too smart to listen to anyone outside their own silo."

Her post has since been deleted.

Democrats’ Immigration Crisis Pushes Ohioans To The Breaking Point: ‘Who’s Protecting Us?’

No one has to drive around Springfield for long to recognize a town that is in decay and already struggling to cope with decades of hardship.

Taxpayer funded? Haitian migrants OVERRUN small Ohio town

In a terrifyingly confusing move, 20,000 Haitian migrants were sent to a small Ohio town of just over 50,000 American citizens.

“This wasn’t done overnight, this wasn’t done under the cover of darkness. These people were brought in by the feds, the state government totally backstopped the entire thing,” Jack Posobiec tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.”

Interestingly enough, Gov. Mike DeWine’s wife “has this very interesting fascination with Haiti.”

“She’s constantly talking about it. They have a school down there that they named after their daughter. This really deep, intense connection between the DeWines and Haiti for some reason, 1,600 miles away in the heartland of Ohio,” Posobiec explains.

But the DeWines weren’t the only ones with an odd obsession.

Posobiec also managed to dig up tweets from the school superintendent in Springfield, Ohio, who posted on X about his “efforts to bring more Haitians into the community.”

“This is two, three years ago,” Posobiec comments. “When I started bringing up the tweets today, he first locked his Twitter account, then he deleted that tweet, I believe as of right now, he’s deleted his entire Twitter account. All because they were highlighting the work that he’s done over the past few years,” he says.

“This is just one town, by the way, just one example of a town that has been completely terraformed with migrants via the federal government,” he explains, adding, “By the way, guess who paid for it? All of us did, through federal tax dollars.”

Taste diversity with this fortifying dog-meat soup recipe

One of the major benefits of living in the most diverse country on Earth is the wide variety of exotic international cuisine available to even the most provincial American.

Chinese, Mexican, Thai, Middle Eastern, Italian ... the list goes on. You may not have a passport, but your stomach might need one.

And thanks to our robust immigration policy, we're learning about new tastes and all the time.

The latest craze is Haitian food — best experienced in Springfield, Ohio's vibrant, bustling "Little Port-au-Prince" neighborhood, which seems to have popped up almost overnight.

While most of us won't get the chance to visit in person — with some 20,000 new residents, we hear Springfield is pretty much booked up for the near future — we've got some recipes that you can bring a touch of exotic Springfield to your own home.

Public park-harvested roast Canada goose

In Springfield, it's not uncommon to see enterprising chefs exiting a park, swinging a freshly killed goose by the neck.

In a tradition dating back months, these birds are often plucked, gutted, and roasted right out in the open.

You can replicate this charming cucina rustica at home by borrowing a neighbor's driveway or lawn.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Canada goose, freshly caught from public park
  • 1 piece of goose liver
  • 1 small hunk or slice of bread
  • black pepper
  • cloves
  • vinegar
  • salt
  • goose fat drippings

Instructions

Goose

  1. Start a fire. You will want to have hot coals by the time you are ready to cook your goose
  2. Prepare a spit: Cut two forked sticks about three feet long, stick each in the ground about three feet apart, in front of (not directly over) the fire. Find a green stick about four feet long, of sufficient thickness that it can hold your goose.
  3. Dry pluck the feathers from the goose. (Dipping the goose in scalding but not boiling water can loosen the feathers.)
  4. Clean the goose: Lay it breast side up, feet facing you. Find the wishbone area of each breast and make an incision with a sharp knife lengthwise to each drumstick. Peel back the skin on either side and remove entrails, innards, and organs.
  5. Set aside the heart, gizzard, and liver. (NOTE: be careful when separating gall from liver, as the bile can foul the meat.)
  6. Clean the cavity of the bird with a rag or paper towel.
  7. Run the spit through the cavity of the goose. Secure with twine or wire. Turn gently. Place a pan under the goose to collect the drippings.

Black pepper sauce

  1. Roast liver and bread over fire. Roast the bread until it is almost black.
  2. Soak the bread in vinegar.
  3. Grind cloves and peppercorns with a mortar and pestle. Add a pinch of salt.
  4. Add the bread and the liver to the mortar, and grind all ingredients together.
  5. Cook mixture in pot over fire. Add drippings and vinegar to dilute. If you're drinking beer or wine, feel free to add a splash as well.
  6. Carve goose and ladle sauce over meat.

Korean-style dog-meat stew (bosingtang)

Springfield has even more exotic Haitian fare to tantalize the taste buds of those in the know. Local foodies whisper of here-today, gone-tomorrow pop-up restaurants serving common domestic house pets.

While the location of these mobile, al fresco feasts is a jealously guarded secret, and reservations are all on a strict word-of-mouth basis, we imagine the techniques involved aren't far from those employed in countries such as South Korea, where the traditional dog-meat stew known as bosingtang is prized as a source of vitality in coldest winter or hottest summer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. leg meat (sirloin tips) from medium-sized domesticated dog breed (whatever is readily "available"), cubed
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste; may use Sriracha or red chili paste instead)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1-3 tablespoons paprika
  • 6 cups water
  • 5 oz. wild mustard leaves (may substitute spinach or fiddleheads)
  • 1 handful chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  • Mix sea salt and water. Add cubed dog meat and let sit for at least two hours. Remove the meat and pat dry.
  • Put deep soup pot over open campfire.
  • Add lard to pot. Add dog and sear until browned on all sides, about 5-10 minutes (work in batches for more efficient browning).
  • Reduce heat to medium, add the onions, and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add miso paste, gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and paprika, then pour over the 6 cups of water or stock. Simmer over low heat, uncovered, for 2 hours.
  • Add the mustard, sesame oil, and half green onions and cook for another 10 minutes. Taste for seasoning, adjust by adding more salt or chili flakes as necessary.
  • Serve in bowls, garnish with remaining green onions and the cilantro.

'Little Tiger' (thịt mèo), Vietnamese house cat stir-fry

As for preparing cat, we've decided to experiment with a little Vietnamese flair. The country's booming cat meat trade is driven in part by the demand for the stir-fried snack "Little Tiger," or thịt mèo.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cat meat (black cats especially prized), cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 bird's eye chili, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 scallions
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  • Make marinade: Combine soy sauce, garlic, pepper, fish sauce, brown sugar, and garlic in small bowl. Mix well. Reserve one tablespoon of marinade and set aside.
  • Put cubes of cat meat in marinade. Stir to coat. Let sit for 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Put large frying pan over open campfire.
  • Add oil to pan until it smokes. Add cat meat cubes and sear on all sides by shaking pan. Transfer cat to bowl and set aside.
  • Add butter to pan and cook bell pepper, onion, and bird's eye chili, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add cat meat and reserved marinade back to pan. Stir-fry for a minute to finish, being careful not to overcook cat.
  • Garnish with scallions and serve with cold Vietnamese beer such as 333 or Bia Hanoi.

HORROR! Haitians caught eating PETS and ducks in Kamala's Ohio

Haitian immigrants eating their neighbors' pets on the streets of America likely wasn’t on your 2024 bingo card — but that doesn’t matter, because it’s happening anyway.

And it’s not happening in big cities but in small towns that are being completely overrun by immigrants, like Springfield, Ohio.

The town boasts 60,000 residents, who have been overwhelmed with up to 20,000 undocumented Haitian immigrants. The influx has placed immense strain on local infrastructure, public safety, and essential services.

Now, the community is in absolute chaos.

“How did this happen? How did we get here?” Sara Gonzales of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” asks.

“That is not bringing in a few people to help some folks out,” guest Jack Posobiec comments. "That is clear and obvious operationalized immigration flow.”

Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, was hit especially hard during the 2020 pandemic, as the country is incredibly reliant on food imports, which account for 50% of all available food.

“When that happened, they saw violence, they saw crime that reached epic proportions, they had warlords who were fighting to control all of the little food supply that they had, and so they had a lot of Haitian migrants who fled the area,” Gonzales explains.

One concerned citizen took the podium at a Springfield City Commission Meeting and said that while he doesn’t blame the immigrants for where they’re from, he does blame the people who are bringing them to Ohio.

“That’s what they’re used to, bro,” the man said. “They’re in the park, grabbing up ducks by their neck, and cutting their head off and walking off with them and eating them.”

“Import the third world, become the third world. It really is that simple,” Gonzales comments, noting that the mainstream media and the left have been working overtime to claim that none of this is really happening.

One Springfield, Ohio, citizen also sent out a warning to neighbors, writing, “Warning to all about our beloved pets & those around us!!”

The citizen wrote that her neighbors’ daughters’ friend had lost her cat — only to find it hanging from a branch like a deer would be for butchering.

“They were carving it up to eat,” she explained, adding, “I’ve been told they are doing this to dogs, they have been doing it at Snyder Park with the ducks and geese, as I was told that last bit by the rangers and police.”

Another video circulating on social media shows a woman getting arrested after killing and eating a cat on the street, though whether or not she’s a Haitian immigrant has been a source of controversy.

Gonzales is horrified.

“I don’t care what your culture is in Haiti, okay? I don’t care that you come from the third world. You don’t come here and eat our pets.”

Flood Of More Than 20,000 Haitian Migrants Wreaks Havoc In Ohio Town

The massive influx is a result of the Biden administration's open border policies.
