Damning video exposes former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn's tortured relationship with Jan. 6 truth

Former U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn prides himself on telling the truth.

When it comes to January 6, though, he and the truth often appear to be at odds.

That is the powerful contention in a new Blaze Media video production, “A Day in the Life of Harry Dunn: Part One — A Leisurely Pace,” streaming on BlazeTV and social media.

The video chronicles some of the tales told by the most famous police officer on Jan. 6 — and then reveals what really happened.

Steve Baker, a Blaze News investigative reporter who researched and narrated the production, said Dunn’s carefully crafted story — told before Congress, on network talk shows, and in his best-selling book — is nothing but fiction.

“Everything he did to establish his fame was done deceptively,” Baker said, recalling Dunn’s dramatic retelling of a briefing he attended at the Capitol early on Jan. 6. It was a meeting that security video proves never took place.

“When one opens their own narrative with so much detail about the time, the location, the content of the meeting that never happened,” Baker said in the film, “well, then everything else he says about January 6 must be called into question.”

'Harry rose to fame based on deception and lies.'

Just as more doubts began to emerge about his truthfulness in 2024, Dunn retired from the Capitol Police. After a losing bid for the U.S. House of Representatives, Dunn joined the presidential campaigns of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I don’t think it’s a stretch of the imagination, I don’t think it’s an exaggeration, to say that we are one election away from the extinction of democracy as we know it,” Dunn told CBS News when he announced his bid for Congress.

During a presidential election panel discussion in Michigan in August, Dunn said news accounts undersold the amount of violence he and other officers experienced on Jan. 6 at the hands of Trump supporters.

“The violence that you saw was probably 10, 100 times worse than what the cameras portrayed it to be,” Dunn said in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Dunn was not the target of violence on Jan. 6. The Blaze Media investigation showed how Dunn’s dramatic tales about his actions on Jan. 6 don’t match thousands of hours of Capitol Police security video that Baker reviewed. Security footage shows Dunn’s stories simply don’t match the evidence.

Baker got the initial idea for the video while listening to Dunn testify for the prosecution in the first Oath Keepers trial in October 2022. The details Dunn shared not only didn’t add up, they were different from what he told the FBI in his first meeting with agents in 2021, Baker said.

Baker discovered that Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus could not have witnessed an alleged confrontation Dunn had with the Oath Keepers. Dunn testified under oath that Lazarus was present near the Small House Rotunda with the Oath Keepers. But at the time Dunn claimed it took place, Lazarus was on the other side of the Capitol.

As Baker dug into more of Dunn’s public statements and media appearances, other problems became apparent.

Included among them was Dunn’s contention that he engaged in “hand-to-hand combat” with rioters and that fellow officers were carried away on stretchers during the worst violence of Jan. 6.

Then there was Dunn’s most widely repeated story of a group of 50 white-supremacist Trump supporters chanting the N-word when he told them he voted for Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

A review of hundreds of hours of footage from that day, tracking Dunn's whereabouts, did not uncover any evidence that any such "hand-to-hand combat" or racially charged interactions occurred.

“The key to the story is that Harry rose to fame based on deception and lies,” Baker said.

Dunn testified under oath before the now-defunct Jan. 6 Select Committee. He made countless television appearances on CNN, MSNBC, and the ABC talk show “The View.” He received a Presidential Citizens Medal from Biden at the White House in 2023.

Dunn’s 2023 memoir, “Standing My Ground,” received widespread media attention. Baker said the book, much like Dunn’s other public testimonies, is “a gold mine of lies.”

Capitol Police and Dunn did not respond to Blaze News' request for comment.

Robert De Niro tapped by Biden to spread fear; says our ‘government will perish’ under Trump

Biden isn’t known for his excellent decision making, which is why it’s not surprising his administration would hold a press conference outside Donald Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan.

Not only was the choice a strange one, but the press conference was held while closing arguments were set to begin — and featured actor Robert De Niro.

The press conference also featured two police officers who were at the Capitol on January 6, Harry Dunn, who Sara Gonzales notes is a “known perjurer,” and Michael Fanone.

“Under Trump this kind of government will perish from the earth. I don’t mean to scare you, no, no, wait. Maybe I do mean to scare you. If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted,” De Niro warned.

“And elections? Forget about it. That’s over, that’s done. If he gets in I can tell you right now, he will never leave. He will never leave,” he continued. “That’s why I’ve joined the Biden-Harris campaign, because the only way to preserve our freedoms and hold on to our humanity is to vote for Joe Biden for president.”

“You’re a liar,” Gonzales says, disturbed.

Harry Dunn also used the opportunity to spread fear, telling the audience, “The fight for a lot of us didn’t end on January 6. That evening when we went home, the fight still continues now. What happened that day was an attempt to overthrow an election.”

“Donald Trump is the greatest threat to our democracy, and the safety of communities across the country today. He has encouraged and continued to encourage political violence. We’ve been called traitors just today, we were all called traitors on January 6 for doing our job.”

Gonzales and Jaco Booyens are shocked by the display.

“Of course they’ll pull Robert De Niro. It’s the true deplorables that will stand there, and that press conference was about as dismal as a Joe Biden campaign trail,” Booyens says.

“These grandiose terms, ‘He’ll never leave,’ it’s scare tactics. And unfortunately, some Americans buy it,” he adds.

Former Capitol cop Harry Dunn — subject of Blaze News Jan. 6 investigation — calls Trump 'greatest threat to our democracy'

Former U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn — a main subject of an ongoing Blaze News investigation uncovering the truth about January 6 — on Tuesday blasted former President Donald Trump as the "greatest threat to our democracy" during a news conference outside a Manhattan courthouse where Trump's controversial Stormy Daniels trial was being held.

Video shows Dunn saying the following:

The fight for a lot of us didn't end on January 6 that evening when we went home. The fight still continues now. What happened that day was an attempt to halt, to overthrow an election. Donald Trump is the greatest threat to our democracy and the safety of communities across the country today. He has encouraged and continued to encourage political violence. We've been called traitors, just today. We were all called traitors on January 6 for doing our job. And yes, we protected Republicans, we protected Democrats alike. It's not about the story that we don't agree with. Political violence is never acceptable ... but you have a presidential candidate that champions it, that encourages it, that supports it. We cannot have that.

'The fact that Harry Dunn, Fanone, and the others are going to do a swing-state tour with Biden is just fodder for those of us who know the truth of what they really did happen on January 6.'

Dunn also said, “Americans need to wake up. This is not a drill,” the Associated Press reported.

The former cop — who also recently lost a bid for a U.S. House seat — added, “We can’t count on these institutions to stop Donald Trump. It’s going to take us Americans at the ballot box to defeat him once and for all," the AP said.

The news conference also featured anti-Trump barbs from left-wing actor Robert De Niro, who called Dunn and another former Capitol Police officer, Michael Fanone, "true heroes." A person standing close by called them "traitors" and said "they lied under oath." That set off De Niro, who clearly didn't know what the person was talking about. The actor finally admitted, "I don't know, I don't even know how to deal with you, my friend. I don't even know how to deal with you."

Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker has penned multiple analyses pushing back against Dunn's many claims about January 6, such as "January 6 and the N-word that wasn't," "Harry Dunn's account of January 6 does not add up. At all." and "Why did a powerful veterans' PAC endorse Harry Dunn, phony ‘hero’ of January 6?"

Baker offered Blaze News the following reaction to Tuesday's news conference:

The fact that Harry Dunn, Fanone, and the others are going to do a swing-state tour with Biden is just fodder for those of us who know the truth of what they really did happen on January 6. Watching this presser with De Niro when someone said, "They lied under oath" and "they're traitors," and De Niro replied, "I don't even know how to deal with you" — of course he doesn't know. He's unaware that we have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that some of those cops lied under oath, both in congressional and trial testimonies.

Democratic establishment's Jan. 6 'hero' defeated in House primary — and people are thanking Steve Baker

Former U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn won the confidence of establishment Democrats by dutifully bolstering their preferred Jan. 6 narrative, even though it diverged greatly from reality. He tried to replicate that success Tuesday in the Maryland House primary but reality caught up with him.

Dunn ran in Maryland's 3rd Congressional District — where he is not a resident — against over 20 other Democrats. Although the so-called "hero" managed to edge out relative unknowns who had not similarly been anointed by President Joe Biden, he couldn't compete with Maryland state Sen. Sarah Elfreth (D).

In mid-April, Dunn's campaign highlighted Upswing Research and Strategy polling data that suggested he was leading "within the margin of error." According to the Guardian, Elfreth's campaign raised only a third as much money as Dunn.

'Dunn was supposed to be an appointed apparatchik for them. You know, the bottom line is that the machine itself had decided that he was going to be their secure vote on anything that they wanted.'

At the time of publication, Elfreth leads Dunn by over 10 points with 66% of the votes counted.

"I just got off the phone with senator Elfreth, congratulating her on her hard-fought victory," Dunn tweeted Tuesday evening. "Although tonight’s results may not have gone like we hoped, all I can feel right now is gratitude. With our democracy on the line this November, I can make you one promise — I'm not going anywhere."

Dunn isn't going to Congress, having proven unable to attract voters with his Presidential Citizens Medal from Biden; his campaign claim that he has "put country above self"; his alleged willingness to violate Capitol Police regulations to help his party; his endorsements from Democratic Reps. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), Adam Schiff (Calif.), Eric Swalwell (Calif.), Bennie Thompson (Miss.), Jim Clyburn (S.C.), and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.); his self-aggrandizing book; his numerous appearances on liberal talk shows; and his dramatic Jan. 6 protest-themed campaign ad, where he smeared Republican lawmakers as "bigots."

Following Dunn's rejection by voters, Blaze News investigative writer Steve Baker was inundated with messages thanking him for his past reports on the failed congressional candidate.

Inconvenient facts

Having been present at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, in the capacity as a reporter, Baker has long understood that Dunn's relationship with the truth was strained.

NEW🚨

This Capitol police officer's book and trial testimonies’ about January 6 are directly contradicted by Capitol CCTV video. And now he's running for Congress. Stay tuned for the next installment of our Truth About January 6 series, "A Day in the Life of Harry Dunn"
— (@)

For instance, in October, Baker dug into Dunn's repeated claim that he was called a n***** "numerous times" during the Jan. 6 protests. He made this claim before a congressional subcommittee, on ABC News' "Good Morning America," and also recycled it elsewhere, including in his memoir "Standing My Ground: A Capitol Police Officer's Fight for Accountability and Good Trouble After January 6th."

'In what many regard as the most video-recorded event in history, not a single piece of evidence — video or audio — has emerged to confirm that such a racially charged incident ever took place.'

The trouble with Dunn's claim, Baker noted, was that "in what many regard as the most video-recorded event in history, not a single piece of evidence — video or audio — has emerged to confirm that such a racially charged incident ever took place."

Video evidence reviewed by Baker does, however, suggest the event did not transpire as it was later described by Dunn. Extra to the racially charged incident apparently never taking place and the antagonist in the story never showing up in hours of footage, Dunn's claim that he broke down crying was also not substantiated by the video evidence. Instead, Baker noted he could be seen chuckling with fellow officers.

Baker has not only identified numerous other instances where Dunn trafficked in falsehoods but various irregularities involving the former USCP officer.

Blaze News previously reported on Baker's allegations that Dunn was behind the anonymous 2021 letter on Capitol Police letterhead slamming Republicans averse to forming a Jan. 6 commission.

According to Baker, Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin (Md.) encouraged Dunn to write the letter, which CNN made hay of in May 2021, even though he likely knew "that it's a violation of Capitol Police regulations for Dunn to take political stances in representation of the department."

According to Baker, Dunn allegedly violated numerous departmental directives against using USCP time and resources for political purposes and worked with members of the Capitol press pool in the phrasing of the letter.

Many thanks

Biden boosters rushed to thank Dunn for all his work to place second.

Script reader Mark Hamill wrote, "Although it didn't go the was [sic] I wanted, I know this is just the beginning & you are destined for greatness. Thank you for your service, sir."

Democratic TikTok propagandist Harry Sisson wrote, "So proud of the race you ran, Mr. Dunn. You should be incredibly proud. You’re a true inspiration!"

Much of the gratitude following the election flowed another way entirely — to Baker.

'They feel better today than they did the day before because they actually thought this one was fixed.'

Baker told Blaze News, "My DMs have just been full over the last 12 hours or so with celebratory, congratulatory messages from current and former Capitol Police officers as well as congressional staff. ... Straight across the spectrum."

"I've even had some messages from some — let's say — acquaintances I have in the mainstream media who've sent me messages as well with, you know, a wink and a nod," added Baker.

When pressed on the significance of Dunn's defeat, Baker referenced the sentiment that has permeated much of the responses he has received: "People are encouraged that this was not — and they're actually telling me this — that maybe our elections are secure. It's kind of a funny statement. Because everybody thought the fix was in on this one."

Even though this was a Democratic Party primary, Baker said, "They feel better today than they did the day before because they actually thought this one was fixed."

Baker suggested this amounts to a strategic setback for establishment Democrats.

"Dunn was supposed to be an appointed apparatchik for them. You know, the bottom line is that the machine itself had decided that he was going to be their secure vote on anything that they wanted," said Baker. "The Democratic Party establishment had basically decided that he was going to be their guy and that that vote would be secure for as long as they could keep him in office."

According to Baker, Dunn's personal shortcomings would have provided establishmentarians — particularly those who endorsed him — with leverage to get what they wanted down the line.

"This is a guy with a highly checkered past. Multiple disciplinary reports from the Capitol Police. He has, of course, his own issues with domestic violence, and he has a history of anger issues. So with his past, they were going to be able to control his vote," continued Baker. "Because they can always hold that over him. ... 'This is a trump card we have. You don't give us the vote that we need, we will flip that card, and we'll flip your seat in two years.'"

Baker suggested that the failure of establishment Democrats to advance their preferred candidate in Maryland is telling.

After highlighting the state-level efficacy of Elfreth, Baker noted, "I think it's very interesting that Pelosi, Thompson, et cetera, couldn't overcome that with their favorite son. I mean, they all elevated this guy to the status of hero ... and they weren't able to pull that off. I think that's a good sign for all of us right now."

"This is a big win," added Baker.

Just-released Jan. 6 videos show Capitol Police officer lied in Oath Keepers trial, Blaze Media investigative journalist says

Just-released U.S. Capitol closed-circuit TV video clips from Jan. 6, 2021, show Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus gave false testimony in the Oath Keepers trial, Blaze Media investigative journalist Steve Baker reported.

What's the background?

Baker penned an analysis in October calling into question Lazarus' testimony — which helped convict the Oath Keepers — noting that time-stamped CCTV videos Blaze News observed show Lazarus in other parts of the Capitol complex at the time he said he witnessed now-former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn interacting with Oath Keepers on Jan. 6.

Baker and others could view the Jan. 6 videos only on Washington, D.C., House subcommittee terminals in a limited and restricted capacity. What's more, at the time of Baker's Oct. 4 analysis, Blaze News was permitted to publish only a single Jan. 6 screenshot of Lazarus in the Capitol after then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted the previous day, putting video permissions on hold.

By early November, U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Georgia) released multiple Jan. 6 video screenshots of Lazarus' movements in the Capitol, telling Baker in a statement that he did so because "an allegation of a Capitol Police officer lying under oath is very serious and must be fully investigated."

On Nov. 17, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said nearly all Capitol security videos from Jan. 6 — nearly 40,000 hours' worth — will be made available online to the public. Johnson's announcement followed Blaze News editor in chief Matthew Peterson's appeal to the speaker to release all the videos.

On Friday, Baker said Blaze News finally received permission to publish the Lazarus video clips, which appear in a new video BlazeTV published Monday morning titled, "The Truth about January 6: Part III: David Lazarus: Proof of Perjury."

— (@)

Baker's announcement was a response to Tarik Johnson — a former Capitol Police lieutenant — who noted on X that his sources informed him that "USCP Chief J Thomas Manger has decided NOT to investigate the allegation that USCP Special Agent David Lazarus gave false testimony in the Oath Keepers trial."

What about the just-released CCTV clips from Jan. 6?

In Monday's BlazeTV video, Baker breaks down Lazarus' whereabouts in the Capitol complex in a detailed, minute-by-minute fashion using the time-stamped video clips recorded on Capitol CCTV cameras.

While Lazarus testified that he saw Dunn with the Oath Keepers — a claim that Baker said "bolstered" Dunn's testimony — Baker reported that Lazarus "couldn't have" seen Dunn with the Oath Keepers because the CCTV videos show Lazarus "was in another building a quarter of a mile away" at that time.

What's more, Baker said that newly released videos showing Lazarus' whereabouts were "never released" to Oath Keepers' defense attorneys at the time of the trial.

"This should rock the Capitol Police," Baker said in Monday's BlazeTV video. "We received messages from our sources at the [Department of Justice] in Washington that they were 'terrified' of this story."

Then there's the screenshot Baker obtained of an internal email he said was passed between Capitol Police leadership. Baker said they "were concerned about the traction" the story was receiving.

The screenshot of the email's conclusion reads, "Something for us to keep an eye on to see if it develops or not."

Baker retorted, "Now this is interesting about the Capitol Police that they're more worried about the traction of their story than they are worried about the lie that their special agent told on the stand in the Oath Keepers' trial."

Capitol Police did not immediately reply to Blaze News' request for comment on the newly released Capitol CCTV videos of Lazarus.

Here's BlazeTV's video, "The Truth about January 6: Part III: David Lazarus: Proof of Perjury":

Anything else?

Baker's investigative efforts also resulted in two additional analyses, both focusing on Dunn: "January 6 and the N-word that wasn't" and "Harry Dunn's account of January 6 does not add up. At all."

Harry Dunn, former Capitol Police officer Blaze News is investigating over his Jan. 6 claims, is running for Congress

Harry Dunn, the former Capitol Police officer Blaze News is investigating over his Jan. 6 claims, announced Friday that he's running for Congress.

What are the details?

Dunn is running as a Democrat for Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District seat, NBC News reported. The news network added that Dunn is joining a "crowded" primary field looking to replace retiring Democrat U.S. Rep. John Sarbanes.

Dunn on Friday posted the following campaign video to YouTube:

"On January 6th, I defended our democracy from insurrectionists as a Capitol Police Officer. Afterwards, President Biden honored me with the Presidential Citizens Medal. Today, I’m running for Congress to stop Trump's MAGA extremists & ensure it never happens again," Dunn said in the video's description.

“I do believe that we’re literally one election cycle away from the extinction of our democracy," Dunn added in a Thursday phone interview with NBC News ahead of his campaign announcement.

The news network noted that the winner of the Democratic primary for Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District seat would would be favored to win in November. Sarbanes won a ninth term in 2022 by 20 percentage points, NBC News reported, adding that President Joe Biden won the district by 26 points in 2020. The news network cited Daily Kos Elections calculations in its report.

While Dunn doesn't live in the 3rd District, he told NBC News he'd move there if he's elected. Dunn pointed to abortion, gun control, mental health, and crime as his campaign focal points, the news network reported.

"I believe at this moment I am the best person for this job because I physically — I spent the last 15 years of my life defending democracy," Dunn — who retired from the Capitol Police force Dec. 17 — told NBC News.

“My platform is democracy,” Dunn added to the news network.

Blaze News is continuing to investigate Dunn

As Dunn launches his congressional campaign, Blaze News' investigative journalist Steve Baker said Friday he's continuing to probe Dunn's claims about Jan. 6 and related issues:

The first thing everyone needs to know about our series on former USCP Officer Harry Dunn is that we are nowhere near finished. We’ve already shown that his N-word claims on J6 — which made him a media darling — didn’t happen. We’ve revealed the 180-degree turnabout between the two FBI interviews he gave about his interaction with four Oath Keepers that day. We’ve shown — irrefutably from the video evidence — that both Dunn and Special Agent David Lazarus not only contradicted each other in court testimony, but neither of the two told the truth under oath because what they each claimed took place couldn't have happened.

We’ve shown Dunn’s anger issues and his behaviors at the Capitol on J6 that caused higher-ranking officers to intervene. (More of that to come.) Only a week before Christmas, we revealed the identity of the person who wrote and distributed an anonymous, politically partisan letter on Capitol Police letterhead, with the cooperation of Rep. Jamie Raskin and members of the Capitol press pool. Then, the subsequent cover-up of the identity of the author and the suppression of his disciplinary report that followed. That author was none other than Officer Harry Dunn, and the cover-up goes straight to the top of Capitol Police leadership.

Unfortunately for now-Congressional candidate Dunn and those who have engaged in the cover-up of his many hidden indiscretions — on and off duty — our series on ‘A Day in the Life of Harry Dunn’ has only just begun.

Baker's first Jan. 6 analysis was published in October 2023, following countless hours in a House subcommittee office looking at frame after frame of Jan. 6 closed-circuit video — and it had him wondering: Did the security chief for then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi perjure himself in the Oath Keepers trial?

Soon after, the slow pace of getting an unrestricted look at everything recorded on video prompted Blaze Media editor in chief Matthew Peterson's appeal to House Speaker Mike Johnson to release all the videos. On Nov. 17, 2023, Johnson did just that.

Baker's investigative efforts also resulted in two additional analyses, both focusing on Dunn: "January 6 and the N-word that wasn't" and "Harry Dunn's account of January 6 does not add up. At all."

Meanwhile, Baker revealed last month that the U.S. Department of Justice will be charging him for the reporting he carried out on Jan. 6, 2021. Baker said he was originally told he had to self-surrender Dec. 19 but soon got a notice from the FBI that the date was postponed until after Christmas. Baker on Friday told Blaze News it looks like his self-surrender date will be in mid-January, but he said his attorneys are working to move it to early February in order to accommodate his travel and work schedule.

Blaze News investigative writer calls foul on 'hero' Capitol cop Harry Dunn, Capitol Police, the press, Democrat congressman

Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker is alleging he's uncovered major irregularities involving U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, the Capitol Police, the press, and a Democrat congressman.

What are the details?

First off, Baker alleges that Dunn — hailed as a "hero" after Jan. 6 — is the author of a headline-grabbing, anonymous 2021 letter, penned on Capitol Police letterhead, which took issue with minority members of Congress who contended there was no need to form a Jan. 6 commission.

The existence of the letter came to light May 19, 2021, in numerous mainstream media accounts — but not who wrote it.

In addition, Baker alleges that U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland) encouraged Dunn to write the letter. Baker told Blaze News that Raskin should have been "fully aware that it's a violation of Capitol Police regulations for Dunn to take political stances in representation of the department."

Baker also alleges that:

 • Dunn violated many departmental directives against using USCP time and resources for political purposes.
 • The Capitol Police have known Dunn wrote the letter, initiated an investigation on and disciplinary action against Dunn, and kept Dunn's connection to the letter from public knowledge.
 • Dunn worked with members of the Capitol press pool in crafting the language of the letter.
 • Dunn's actions likely disqualified him from testifying before the Jan. 6 commission and in the Oath Keepers trial and that his actions were kept from attorneys for the Oath Keepers.

Bradford L. Geyer — an attorney who represented now-imprisoned Oath Keeper Kenneth Harrelson — issued a pointed statement to Blaze News about these allegations.

"Similar to Steve Baker's exposure of the fabricated testimony by David Lazarus, U.S. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn also provided inaccurate testimony that led to the wrongful convictions of innocent Americans, including Sergeant Kenneth Harrelson (retired). The impact of this false testimony on the trial cannot be overstated, and regrettably, neither individual has faced any repercussions for corrupting the justice process. It's almost a stroke of luck that Dunn was allowed to testify. As I had anticipated, the line prosecutors handling the case were likely unaware that Dunn had received support from the D.C. press corps in crafting and spreading the letter, which was designed to appear as an official communication. This alone should have been a firing offense," Geyer told Blaze News, adding that "despite their serial lies, both Harry Dunn and Agent Lazarus were commended, while wrongly convicted Americans languish in prison."

The U.S. Capitol Police, Dunn, and Raskin's office on Monday did not immediately reply to Blaze News' request for comment regarding Baker's allegations.

Baker outlined in a pair of X threads (here and here) last week what he noted his investigation uncovered.

What else?

CNN published a story about the anonymous letter on May 19, 2021, noting significantly that the letter was not an official statement from the Capitol Police — and that a USCP spokesman said the department does not know where the letter came from.

“The U.S. Capitol Police does NOT take positions on legislation,” the department said in a statement, CNN added.

— (@)

CNN also said it spoke to the officer who wrote the letter and claimed it represented the view of 40 to 50 officers. While CNN didn't reveal the identity of the officer, the cable news network quoted the officer as saying, “It needed to be out there. It needed to be done." CNN added that it could not independently verify that other officers supported the letter.

What's more, CNN noted in its May 19, 2021, story that Rep. Raskin’s chief of staff circulated the anonymous letter to other chiefs of staff with a note saying, “Mr. Raskin has been in discussions with several rank-and-file Capitol Police officers who are his constituents. He has listened to them describe their physical and emotional traumas which, for some, have led to months of mental anguish.”

CNN also reported that the note said, "Attached is a letter from unnamed officers (who remain anonymous because they are afraid of retribution for speaking out) about their profound disappointment in the current politics surrounding the vote on the January 6th commission. Mr. Raskin is hoping your bosses will read this letter, and consider the sentiments behind it, before the vote.”

Anything else?

Baker's first Jan. 6 analysis came in October, following countless hours in a House subcommittee office looking at frame after frame of Jan.

On Nov. 17, Johnson did just that.

Did Blaze Media just catch a J6 ‘hero’ cop in a web of lies?

Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn was heralded as a hero for his bravery and courage on January 6th. Biden even awarded him the Presidential Citizens Medal, and several media outlets invited him on their shows to share his harrowing account of that fateful day.

But as more evidence is unearthed, it’s looking more and more like Dunn’s testimony, which he gave under oath, as well as the recount he gives in his new memoir, are “obviously disprovable" lies, says Glenn Beck.

For example, “Dunn alleged that he was called the N-word numerous times during the riot at the Capitol on January 6th, [and] almost the entirety of the media repeated his claim without any question,” Beck explains.

However, Blaze Media has acquired access to the J6 footage, although the tapes have not been approved for release, and can confirm that there is no evidence that racial slurs were hurled at Dunn on January 6th.

“This is the most video-recorded event in history, [and] not a single piece of evidence, video or audio, has even emerged to confirm that such a racially charged incident ever took place,” explains Glenn.

“In the two and a half years since the events, with tens of thousands of hours of audio taken and analyzed from open-source cell phone video and D.C. Metro Police body-worn cameras, nobody has produced recorded evidence to corroborate Dunn’s story,” he continues.

Further, “the Capitol rotunda closed-circuit TV video” has also been analyzed, and it “does not include any audio” and the “video also appears to lack any visual evidence confirming the event as Dunn described it.”

What the videos do include, however, is footage of Dunn “talking to numerous fellow officers ... sometimes smiling and sharing a cell phone video,” contrary to his claims that he sat down and cried due to the racial abuse he suffered.

One particular individual, a woman in a pink MAGA shirt who, according to Dunn’s story, called him a “f***ing N-word,” cannot be found in any of the J6 footage either.

“Analysts for Blaze Media have spent hours poring over the video recordings, looking for any individual, male or female, wearing a pink MAGA shirt inside the Capitol building, [and] we can report conclusively, based on the many camera sources available, that a woman in a pink MAGA T-shirt is never seen near or in Dunn’s vicinity,” confirms Glenn.

“Blaze Media did not find a single shirt fitting that description worn by anyone inside the building.”

And if that wasn’t convincing enough, the Sedition Hunters, which is a “a group of left-leaning activist researchers” who “assist the U.S., FBI, and Washington, D.C., Capitol Police to find those who committed crimes on January 6 ... has also failed to produce evidence of the N-word being used against Dunn or any other black police officers that day.”

The question now is: will Dunn be forced to contend with the fact that there is no evidence to authenticate his testimony — the same testimony that landed many people behind bars?
